You know - I'm really liking the look of on of our potential next leaders. Love his wife. Feeling hopeful.
So very glad I'm not in your shoes, Yooly. Sounds like a heck of a lot of crazy going on. It is like we are living in some dystopian science fiction book.2 -
Wonder if I still remember the words to “Oh Canada”? 🇨🇦 We lived six miles south of the border in Maine for three years.
After I’m all fixed up, we have booked a fall trip out of Boston up into the maritimes. Been there before and love Canada. East and west coast. Still trying to get back to Vancouver and finally visit Victoria.2 -
Well... we still have ketchup chips ;-)1

Ketchup chips are a blight on Canada's honor.0

But all-dressed redeems us, no?
Not to be overly political - but the Gaza strip solution, my goodness!! 🤪
'Oh Canada' is super simple Yooly, you'd have it down pat in no time. 😆1 -
I have a Fall trip booked too, at least the main leg of it - cruising from Hawaii through the South Pacific to Tahiti, New Zealand, and disembark in Australia, with a few days in Sydney before flying home. Super excited about this one, all new territory to discover.
We may cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii, same ship, or we may fly to Kauai for a week first then board the ship.
It's my daughter's sabbatical year, so we have several trips in mind. The first one is booked for Puerto Vallarta end of March, to celebrate my 65th birthday!2 -
Sounds like quite the vacation there BC! I’m jealous. Can’t get hubby to do more than 10 days - he gets antsy and wants to go home to his familiar surroundings. I could easily do months on the road.
Ketchup chips - I will blight Canadas honor by eating a bagful. Delicious!2 -
I love our group.
What a trip, BC!!!! Two of the guests at this weekends birthday party just returned from 6 weeks in New Zealand and Australia. They travel extensively. She claimed New Zealand as perhaps her favourite place in the world. (she also met up with some relatives she has never seen before - and they sounded absolutely wonderful - so that may have biased her a bit).2 -

Hey: Yooly likes them! And so must other people!😁 And I have to admit that, with sufficient lubrication, i've had an occasion where I did too!!!!🤭😎1 -
You kids are making me a tiny bit jelly!😎
Maybe in the future!🧐
Assuming I can figure out continuous and sufficient medical coverage for US destinations (much less of a concern for non US due to the relative $s involved). Hopefully by then it will be "easy enough" to figure out 🤷♂️2 -
Finally some good news. I’m not going to have chemotherapy. The doctors reviewed my tumor, age, and recurrence score (elevated but not terrible). It was determined that the toxicity of chemo was more dangerous than a 6% or less chance of recurrence.
So I’ll start on hormone therapy instead. Woohoo! 🥳2 -
WOHOO indeed!! That's fabulous Yooly!2

Our Fall cruise circles New Zealand and makes 3 stops, so will get the flavour of the country for sure.3

Sounds like great news Yooly!1

I'm so happy to read this, Yooly! How are you feeling?
I couldn't get proper numbers for chemo - multiple little vs one larger tumour threw off the algorithm and the onco score just wasn't doable??? But that is sort of how my hormone blocker effect numbers came in. The difference between taking them for 5 years and not taking them was less than 2%. I cannot remember the chance of reoccurrence either way - just the differenceHopefully soon it will all be gone from my memory banks.

Yup - hoping to erase this last few months from my brain. 🧠. Terrifying and exhausting.2

For all of you knee deep in winter - here it was over 80F (26C). We’ve had a whole week of shirt sleeve weather. Cooling off next week a bit. Was nice to open the windows 🪟! Our “winter” is usually over by the end of February anyway. A few months of pleasant days and the six months of 🔥🌞🔥. Got to take the good with the bad……2
