[quote="conniewilkins56;c-46588846"the rest of us were negative but the doc thinks we all had it and are having post Covid symptoms….daughter has pink eye and all I can taste is metal….[/quote]
I so hope that your hubby responds well to the treatments.
and for whatever it's worth, a reminder that chewing on things, in the end, is even less useful than punching walls!

Connie, I hope your husband is getting better! The situation in hospitals is positively awful. I feel sorry for anyone who gets sick and for the overworked medical staff. I think it’s inevitable that we’ll all come down with covid with or without symptoms. At our house all of us have had bouts of illness that could be covid pre and post vaccine. Son has been tested twice and while it was negative the doctor said to assume covid because the tests are unreliable unless administered correctly at just the right time in the infection.
Hang in there. Hope you all are better soon.3 -
If you're not expecting to stay too far below water freezing temps, just leaving a pipe dripping a little bit, I hear, avoids pipe bursting freeze-ups.
But pipe wrapping sounds like increasing your NEAT, productively!
Well it’s indoor pipe wraps - under all the sinks and water sources. For some reason builders insist on placing water pipes inside exterior facing walls. We do the dripping faucets/ shower heads thing. Freezing should last two three days. Our house is well insulated but you can’t be too cautious. Similar situation with our roads with no salting or ice removal equipment. Just have to wait for warmth to return. The powers that be are always surprised and unprepared for cold. Heat we can deal with 🥵
Although the cold doesn’t arrive until tomorrow afternoon (it’s 70F right now), the grocery shelves are stripped bare of bread and milk and the ever-necessary toilet paper. There is panic in the streets and dire warnings crawling at the bottom of tv screens. Mercifully we grew up in the north, spent some fun years in places like northern Maine (basically southern Canada 🇨🇦), Nebraska, northern Ohio, Colorado. . . So I think we can ride out the next few days okay.2 -
Hope you avoid any burst pipes, Yooly.
Oh Connie. I couldn't help but think that Covid had entered your house. Hope your poor hubby gets through this without any complications. How are you feeling? I managed to get through okay - with only a little sinus stuff going on for a couple of weeks afterwards. Hope you and everyone in your house gets off as easy as we did.3 -

John is a little better today and oxygen is ok….I have a brutal headache…..thinking of all of you…I will probably gain 12 pounds eating to make everyone feel better!4 -
Stay away from the .... whatevers Ms Connie!2

I have been sick on and off all week. Last night was the worst though. Feverish on and off. Sore throat. Congested. Achy. I maybe slept 4 hours but most likely closer to 3. The only reason I am awake now is because I have a report that I HAVE to get done today and sent out. Otherwise I would have called in.
Also, we have snow. A lot of snow. It is supposed to snow all day today. Luckily I have no where to be since I am work from home today, but I have friends and family who have to go to work. So anxiety is up. It's also cold. I don't like the cold.
I really just want to go back to sleep.3 -
Sounds like a perfect day to go back to work and get some extra sleep. Hope you have time after that after you get the report out.2
-
To bed you go as soon as you can😘1

Still on Covid protocol here….John is still isolating in our room….I am disinfecting everything he touches….we are both being tested for Covid again today….kids are all negative and leaving on vacation tomorrow ( TYJ )…( thank you Jesus )…. I love them to pieces but currently they are driving me nuts!….Amanda’s husband won’t take his mask off and has used so much Lysol that the smell is horrible…tomorrow I am cleaning our end of the house and putting things away…we will have a nice clutter free space for a few days!….my daughter has few domestic skills and our standards of cleanliness are not the same lol…I do not know how she finds anything….3

Didn't amanda's husband already have the "cold" that was circulating around your house?!? I hope John is feeling better!

Hope everyone is recovering at Connie’s. And testing negative!
We’re in the midst of an ice storm today. It rained all night turning to freezing rain. Everything is coated with ice - roads, trees. Bit of snow too. The high temperature today is in the mid 20sF and wind making it feel worse. The entire state is shut down. 🥶❄️💦 The cold will last until tomorrow but should get above freezing by Saturday.
So it was a great day for bean and ham soup (from the freezer)!2 -
Split Pea and ham soup would have been my tune ❣️2

Still snowing and I am still awake. Mostly just because I don't want to go to bed TOO early and wake up stupid early tomorrow. Didn't get off work until like 1:30 due to that stupid report.
I am working from home tomorrow instead of going into the office like I normally do on Fridays. I was feverish last night plus who knows if I would be able to get out of my parking spot in the morning. Once the plows can come through to clear the lot it is just going to push the snow in front of my car. So I am staying put.2 -

Would it be problematic to let work know that you have not been feeling well the past few days? Maybe even taking Friday off? Or you don't mind because it is keeping you happily distracted?3 -

My boss knows that I have been ill the last week or so. It seems to be where I feel bad one day, fine the next, and then even worse the day after that. Today I am feeling eh. Not horrible but not good either. Gonna take it easy and slow. I don't want to take today off as I am a bit low on sick time and I have appointments coming up this month. So I am gonna push through today. Luckily I had to postpone my only meeting because we decided we needed additional input from other teams and they were not available. So yay!
But I did sleep great last night! Went to bed at 8pm. Woke up once at 3:30am (normal for me to wake up at some point to use the bathroom cause IC). Then went back to sleep until 7am. Still a bit fatigued, but nothing like I was yesterday.
Roads are still a bit of a mess in some areas, including downtown where I work so I am glad I am staying home anyway. Really pretty outside, but glad I don't have to be out in it. As long as I can get out tomorrow for my grocery shopping and maybe to look at more houses then I will be fine. Also hitting up Costco on Sunday for things like paper goods and supplements. All of the ones I take are on sale (D3, B12, and fish oil).3 -
Let's hope it's an easy day ... and a Costco full of goods (not just goodies)😘2
-
A quick "hello" to everyone. Second "snow day" so I've had The Boy with me...lots of fun - so sad not able to work lol4
-
You sound real sad now, don't ya!
1 -
very, sincerely, heart-broken even.2 -
Not working? Oh so sad!
Ended up at Costco today instead of tomorrow cause I am going to look at houses tomorrow. Hate the Saturday crowds, but now it is done. Everything is put up except the toilet paper and paper towels. Sitting and resting now.
Honestly, I need to run one more errand. I forgot to get something to have with the hot dogs. I am craving hot dogs.3 -
Don't they sell the Polish dogs at Costco anymore?1
-
Where is everyone today?2
-
I'm still in Western Canada, how about you? 😹3
-
In Florida where I always am!2
-
Still in central Texas wishing I could take a good vacation after two years!3
-
Still in Norfolk...camping...it's f-f-f-r-e-e-e-e-z-i-n-g!
4 -
Look at that cute little frozen hamster!
Me - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - where the sun shone gloriously today!3 -
Wait a second Ms glorious and sunny! You picked sunny because when it rains there, you better be vegan so that you can benefit from the soya-beans falling from the sky!!!!
I am not sure about selling Hamilton Tourism--though I admit I wouldn't mind swinging by there on my way to Port Dover in the summer and without bikes!
*I* am still looking at the poor frozen camping hamster!
Oh MY!
I thought they would have "caravans" or what have you and "glam-ping" out there in the populated You-Ro-Pean continent... oh wait... is that island part of the continent!?!??!?!1
