Accountability post:
I'm not going to return to my old ways:
I started to slip up this weekend. It started Sunday when I woke up starving and made breakfast for my family. I got out some grapes and ate some while making the other food, but it wasn't like a handful of grapes on a little plate, it was eating straight out of the container...like, to the point where I didn't know how many I'd eaten and couldn't really track accurately. I felt like, "oh, it was just grapes" but then yesterday, I decided to have a few pieces of candy corn at my work. I took 3 and was like "okay, I've had my fix of these for the year" but then an hour later I ate some more...and then I was stressed out in the afternoon and I had a few more. By the time I knew it I'd eaten a whole serving which is 150 calories and definitely not "worth it." But worse yet, this is exactly the type of behavior I'm trying to recover from.
Just for today, I'll measure out what I'm going to eat in advance and make sure it fits with my goals BEFORE putting it into my mouth.1 -

I had more fat calories in my meals today than is typical but I noticed that I was satiated for a lot longer after each meal. It might be something for me to pay attention to going forward. It's great to not be thinking about food between meals.

I'm worried because I actually went over my calorie goal quite a bit and I did okay at the event I went to, but I'm not sure I really made the very best choices. But I was tired and I did a lot of things differently than pretty much ever in the past. Tonight I'll sleep good and just remember that buffet type things are always going to be hard because of my food issues.1 -

As much as I tell myself I will make time for posting (and logging!) I am obviously not getting round to it enough. So I think it's best if I step away from co-captaining and let someone else take over.
I'm sorry to let you down but I need to be honest with myself and you!
I'd like to stay on the team for weigh-ins and support please and I will continue participating as before.

I had a bit of a Halloween binge fest. 788 calories over or 288 over maintenance. So that negates almost 2 days of deficit. But other deficit days were under so maybe just a maintenance day. That’s okay. I enjoyed it and don’t feel guilty.2 -

Hi guys! I'm sorry I missed my weigh in on Sunday, I have been away on holiday with no scales available which meant stepping on them this morning was a 😱🙈😭 moment. I wasn't expecting to be going away from home so I didn't know to explain I advance, I'm sorry!
I don't know whether it's appropriate to post my weight now or not to 'catch up' since it's not a Sunday but I will anyway and trust they the admin know whether it's best to accept it for the spreadsheet or not!

Calories: so, yes, a lot. I had a buffet lunch and it was delicious and I would say I mostly have no regrets BUT it was too hard to track because I have no idea what was in what I ate for the most part so I just called at 1000 "cheat meal" and that way I can keep up my tracking streak.

NSV: workouts haven't been as on point this week, but I can still feel my bottom muscles are stronger!

Halloween. I didn't choose to wear a "sexy" outfit which was kind of a relief since I'm not in terrific shape and for once I'm not trying to keep from freezing, but I'm disappointed we only did kinda kid/family stuff this year (maybe something will come up this weekend but so far no plans). I'm also down in the dumps about something that happened at work, plus I have seasonal depression that is kicking in in a major way, plus particularly bad PMS apparently. I ate a great potluck lunch at work, ate two bags of M&Ms then kind of a lame dinner where I burned some of the meatballs I made and then nibbled on a bunch of them before we sat down so THAT was a fail. Really wanted sweets all night but didn't want to settle for smarties or whatever so ended up just kind of feeling sorry for myself. I'm going to tell my partner I want a really good dessert this weekend (although tbh someone made an awesome pudding thing at the potluck that I massively enjoyed). Anyway, riding the struggle bus but back on track!1 -

One thing I did well: I’ve been trying to make sure that when I eat I have more vegetables - like a salad, or broccoli, etc, and then when I eat the main ting I only eat half. It helps me fill up faster, so I’m eating smaller portions. I also made sure to get up, and move throughout the day to ensure I was getting my steps in. Yesterday, after getting home from dinner I also took the dog on a long walk to help with digestion, and to work some of it off.
One thing to work on: I definitely overindulged twice this week. I’m helping my best friend navigate some scary times, and while we were talking at dinner we had several drinks. While I took part of my meal home, I definitely made up for it with the medium (skinny) margarita, chips/salsa/queso. Ugh....
I’m just really relieved that the scale wasn’t as scary as I definitely thought it would be today.
