It is that time of the year again! Time to “fall back”. Today we need to set our clocks back one hour (unless you live in Arizona, Hawaii or other regions where DST is not observed) Many times these time changes effect our sleeping routine. That is why for this week Team Weight No More is challenging everyone to get a better nights sleep! Studies from the US Centers for Disease Control show that over 1/3 of us regularly skimp on sleep. Although it may not seem like it is a big deal to not get proper rest, millions of sleep deprived people mean more dangerous roads, more costly health care and reduced productivity. Sleep deprivation impairs learning, decision making, emotions and adds stress. It also takes a physical toll. The risk of heart disease, Alzheimer disease, diabetes, cancer and obesity all climb with sleep deprivation. These are some of the most significant health concerns facing people today.
One of the best way to improve your chances of getting a good night’s rest is by adopting healthy sleep hygiene habits. The chart below is from the National Sleep Foundation. This is a 7 day plan for incorporating some good habits into your routine.
When you do your daily check in with your team this week. Discuss how the tip for the night before worked for you. Hopefully by the end of the week you are able to incorporate these 7 tips and change your sleeping habits for the better!
Love this challenge and just the nudge we need at this time! Thanks @sleepymom5 and @Cafelelia4 -
Didn’t sleep well last night and cranky because despite behaving myself my weight is up. I’ll gather my thoughts and work on my intro/goals hopefully tomorrow. I expect all of us to make this a remarkable month! Xoxo4

Saturday Check In
Food - logged & on track
Exercise - 30 minute walk & lots of running around
Water - 2l
Sorry that I was MIA today! I had a long drive home with some high winds, and then lots to do upon my return. I survived the hockey team dinner on plan. The parents were sure drinking a lot, but I had to drive, so that saved me! I am starting the week kind of tired, so I did some cooking and meal planning for the week. My mom sent me home with a bunch of good food and healthy treats for the kids, so that was a big help.
Huge congratulations to our entire team!!
For the last week of October, we finished 2nd for both lbs & % lost. Congratulations to to @nstephenson01, @GingerPwr, and @jedaschultz for making it to the honorable mentions!
For the month of October, we tied for 1st for % lost, and came in 2nd for lbs lost (42.6!)! Huge congratulations to @amytriesww for coming in 1st for individual lbs lost (14.6!) and also coming in 3rd for % lost. Congratulations to @Zumba_Luvah for making it to the honorable mentions!
I say it every month, and I will say it again. We are all winners for focusing on our health and fitness!! It is so motivating to be on this journey together!
Thank you to everyone for posting your introductions this month! You are all inspiring!!
@sleepymom5 has put together an excellent challenge this week. In honour of Day 1, I am getting to bed early so that I can get at least 8 hours tonight. I am pretty exhausted at this point, so it should not be hard!
@CassieGetsFit2013 - It is so great to hear from you! I am so sorry for what you have been through and hope that you are feeling better. I have asked the moderators to add you to cheer squad and we can still track your weekly weigh ins that way. Just check in when you can and we are here for you. Sending you a big hug!

Here is some of my meal prep from today. Good night & hope that everyone has a good night’s sleep!

@lennoncpa your foster dogs are so precious. That’s such a gift that you can foster dogs in need.
@Cafelelia glad you made it home safe. That’s so awesome that your mom supports a healthy lifestyle. I too need to get to bed soon.
Made vegan “chicken “ n dumplings for Sunday dinner. So delicious. @nstephenson01 it’s on my Pinterest board if your interested. I’m going to share a picture from Pinterest. It was amazing. I ordered “soy curls” from amazon. Arrived in one day. Kids came over for dinner. Such a lovely evening. I did all the prep and Molly cooked it in the instapot. I doubled the recipe and used regular flour. Transferred soup to large pot then cooked the dumplings. Too many for the instapot. I will definitely make this again.

Sunday Check In
Food - logged & under (what?!)
Exercise - 30 minute walk and PT exercises
Steps-6,075
Water - 88 oz
I am up and it is 2 am. It is especially not good because I really should get out to see my Mom as early as possible. Ugh! It was a very good day Sunday. I am very happy. I had quite a few urges but resisted them. We have an awesome breakfast bar at the hotel. I stuck to my plan and had my bar. I also wanted to get a hoagie at lunch but got a salad like I planned to. Dinner we had pizza and salad and I ate until satisfied. I even got cheesecake for my Mom and aunt and didn't have a bite. I just had decaf coffee with them (but I am getting the feeling that they were packaged wrong since I am so awake now Lol!) Already went shopping and made my plan for tomorrow. Looking forward to another good day. It is funny how different your attitude is when you start stringing good days together. Remember how cranky I was a few weeks back? Lol! Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
I actually put this in edit mode because there was something I wanted to add and that quickly I forgot! I guess I am more tired than I think Lol!
I always love reading the introductions. Even if I have known you for a while, there is always something new I learn...We truly have an awesome team!!
@jedaschultz Thanks for the introduction. You sure get a lot of awesome workouts in! Sounds like our sleep challenge may be the thing for you! I love your goals for the month. November will be your month!
@kirsten11872 I love these introductions, you learn something new each time. You should be proud that you have kept most of the weight you lost off for good. You are right, there is no rush and we have to make it a lifestyle.
@lennoncpa You give a lot of great tips as well. I also think you work more than full time during tax season Lol! You are right-Novemember is going to be our month!
@Cafelelia Awesome goals for the month! You are going to rock November! And you can't just post pics without telling us what they are!! Lol! I especially like the top one...
@pacsnc6 You are right, no rush! This is a lifestyle change.
@tryingagain5 Awesome goals for the month. Before you know it, these things will become habits that you aren't going to have to concentrate on any more.
@cyndiesstuff Wow! How tragic! My heart goes out to Lilly and her father. You are an amazing woman to just drop everything and run down there. You really made a difference in their lives and I am sure you will always have a special place in their hearts. I am so happy you are here. I have been thinking about you a lot. How's your Mom been doing? Enjoy your grandson's visit! xo
@phoebe112476 I just could read what you write all day...I wish I could articulate my reflection on the past month and goals for the coming month like that. Idk why it is so difficult for me . You really are an amazing person! I hope you realize that! Good luck with the little one. I hope things all work out for the best. Love the pics! I wa@s going to ask what the name of the Indian food was. Lol! The pumpkins are so festive! What is the bottom one? It looks good.
@Mrsbell8well Yes you are a success story! Sounds like everything is falling into place and you have a wonderful plan for November and the holidays! Looks like the pumpkin donuts were a success! Skylynn is such a cutie! The chicken and dumplings look good too. I will have to look at the recipe. Hopefully it isn't too hard.
@CassieGetsFit2013 You can absolutely be in the challenge! I am so happy you are back and that you are doing better.
@timibotkin Wait a minute...I thought there were 2 wild beasts...You have 5 dogs, 2 cats and 4 goats?! Wow! That is awesome! And I am sure it gets a little crazy too Lol! I think it is understandable that you would fall back into old habits with everything going on. I would suggest trying to start out with making little changes. They start to add up, and you can do more once you are feeling better. Hugs! I am glad you are here with us.
@amytriesww Wow! Just Wow!! Nice loss there my friend! Hope you are doing ok with school work and everything else going on.
@tryingagain5 I am glad that your back is improving. Hope the mattress helps too. Great day yesterday! Keep it going!
@nstephenson01 This challenge came at the perfect time for you! Lol! Hope you are feeling a little better about things on Monday. We all have our cranky days. You know I do! Don't let that weigh in get into your head. You know you stayed on plan and you did well. The scale will catch up. No worries. Hang in there my friend.

Let's make it a good one!!4 -
@lennoncpa thanks for the kind words!
@amytriesww my goodness what a way to start November! Congrats! You are going to be out of the 200’s before you know it.
@tryingagain5 glad your back is better. Hopefully your new mattress will make a difference for you. That’s a nice gift to yourself.
@nstephenson01 the mental aspect of this journey is the hardest. When I was closing in on my goal this summer, I had many cranky days. I was so tired of working so hard to lose weight. But I did it and it is worth it! Hang in there. Just a few more weeks.
@pacsnc6 yes it is a lifestyle change but it’s amazing how quickly we can slip back into old habits. Your doing great!
@phoebe112476 it’s remarkable what you have accomplished. You do make it look easy. Your a great role model for your family.
@Cafelelia love your food prep! Great job!
@kirsten11872 I was thinking about you and remembering when you were so close to goal not that long ago. It’s a mindset. I like what @sleepymom5 said about stringing good days together. It does help. I think that’s why our slip ups are so challenging. It’s not the calories, it’s what they do to our mindset. It can be hard to regroup.
I find my success is very dependent on how much I want it. When feeling a bit hungry or tempted to eat a second donut I have to ask “what do I want more? The food, or success on my goal?” Every time I color a star it’s because I chose success. Not always easy or comfortable. And sometimes I get cranky about it. I distract myself with something else or often have a cup of herb tea. If I’m really feeling deprived I will add almond milk and a spoon of honey. Good luck Kirsten and show us your success. I remember you kissing that 150’s on your scale.
@jedaschultz yes great job with your exercise!
I love our November challenge. I have always said I place 3 priorities in my life over every thing else...sleep, exercise, nutritious food!
Have a great week everyone!3 -
Sunday Check In
Food - under goal
Water- 32 oz
Exercise - 30 minute walk
Steps- 7019 steps
I was so proud of myself yesterday. Picked up my grandson that I haven't seen in 4 years. So it made my heart sing. He is so stinking cute. And he does look the same just way taller. He's taller than me now. He's got a sweet personality and a quiet demeanor. We stopped and picked up pizza and went over to my mom and dad's. I had one piece of pizza. I was full. The pizza was delicious. But I couldn't quit looking at my grandson. Then we went to the movies. And watched The joker. Had a very good story line but the whole mental health issue really kind of bothered me and it was the main theme of the movie. My grandson had twizzlers and a Coke. I had one twizzler. One. I can do this I can do this. I did a lot of prep cooking yesterday. I made a turkey I made hamburgers I made some stir-fries and I made a chicken Stew
So my food is set for the week. I have got no excuses to not eat on plan and be healthy. I'm hoping for a nice loss on Thursday. Have a great day y'all. Oh yes and the sleep challenge. I almost forgot about the sleep challenge. I always set aside at least 9 hours for sleep. At 3:30 I get woken up because that's when my husband gets up for work. Sometimes I can fall back asleep and sometimes I can't. So that is my best stab at trying to get the required amount of sleep. I don't see anybody writing their cans in their wills. I can lose weight I will stay out of the candy bowl at work I can be happy if for no other reason to just be happy. I will lose this weight and get my compulsive overeating under control.8 -
Sunday Check In
Food - logged & under
Water - 1.8 l
Exercise - 10,336 steps!
Yesterday was a really busy & tiring one. I had to catch up on everything from being away for the tournament. My husband & older son really let things in the house & food chores slide while I was away, which made me not very pleased (well more like pissed off). Maybe I should be more chill about it, but I feel like too much falls to me. I am making everybody do more as of last night & the boys are falling into line as they do not want to lose privileges like electronics time. On the bonus side, I got over 10k painfree steps, which is a first in almost a year. I see my physio on Wednesday. I have a treadmill gait test scheduled for the end of the month. I have been missing running lately as it is the time of year when I am usually plannin my races for the next year. Well, fingers crossed & I will continue to focus on what I am able to do in the present from a fitness perspective.
As for the sleep challenge, I slept 7.5 hours straight through and woke up feeling good. For Day 2 of the challenge, we need to leave some time between eating and going to bed. I am doing IF tonight, so will definitely have that gap. I love this challenge!
@cyndiesstuff - Great job staying on track!! When you look at your Sunday, you had to navigate through several temptations. One twizzler is quite the accomplishment & I am not sure I would be able to achieve that! It is wonderful that you were able to reconnect with your grandson!
@Mrsbell8well - That’s very good tip about whether to have more food vs getting to goal. It is a great question to pose in those moments of temptation, or feeling like you need a treat. Mmm, yummy “chicken” & dumplings!
@sleepmom5 - Hurray for a good day!! Too bad that you woke up at 2 am, but the time change can do that. The photos that I posted were 1. Overnight oats; 2. My suppers for the week (especially for hockey nights) which are roasted chickpeas (or egg white scramble) with sheet pan roasted vegetables, and 3. Sheet pan roasted vegetables ( for the rest of the family). The boys & my husband will have chicken, fish, & homemade pizza for suppers this week instead of the roasted chick peas (no photos). Hope that you have a great visit with your mom! What’s the weather like?

Ok, first night of sleep challenge not good. I finally went to sleep around 2:30 and woke up at 7:30. Weird thing. I was wide awake so I got up, worked out, showered, then had coffee and got on the computer. IF was 15 hours last night! I actually worked out without eating or having coffee and ....I didn't die! Lol! Update on the old knees and hip....My left knee doesn't hurt at all, even at night! My right knee isn't as painful but it feels unstable at times. It doesn't wake me up in pain anymore. My hip, seems like it is starting to act up again, I blame it on myself for not doing my exercises last week. I have been doing it the past 3 days and added some extra ones. I need to set up PT in Pa again....
@Mrsbell8well I think those 3 things are key-sleep, exercise and nutrition. You know my lack of cooking skills by now...Is an instapot something I should try? Is it as easy as a crockpot to use?/
@cyndiesstuff I am so glad you had such a nice visit with your grandson. I hope you can have many more. Your parents must have loved seeing him too. I am a little scared to see the joker lol! I think I am going to wait for it to be on the small screen although I am going back and forth. You jumped right back in with food prep and planning. You are setting yourself up for a successful week! My update since you left. Stayed at the shore until the first week of Oct because of PT. Did a lot of back and forth between Pa and the shore and it got old real quick.
Went to Denver on vacation. Didn't gain weight! Saw sports medicine doctor about hip, he prescribed more PT, then knees started up, saw doctor, thinks they are compensating for the hip, right now taking care of them. I gained during the summer but am slowly chipping that away. My son Danny (26) is getting married 11/23 I need to take a little off so the dress fits better. I am trying not to be negative that I am still this big. I am still listening to PNP and other pod casts. I think that is all. Basically not too much new...
@Cafelelia I can totally relate to coming back from a trip and the house not being kept up. It was happening every time I came home from the shore. Inside and out. This summer I did get the lawn guy to weed so that helped there. I did talk to my husband and daughter and they did a little better. It is straightened up now but not really cleaned. I am glad you got your guys involved and hopefully they will get some good habits formed. Sounds like you got everything done although it was a tiring day. I am curious with your races, can you still set up what you want to do next year even though you can't do them yet? That may give you something to look forward too. I know how you love to run. Now to bug you some more, do you have a recipe for those overnight oats? I am thinking of starting to have that in the morning.
@twyla77 No worries about the late weigh in. You are on a good weigh in day, you have a little slack Lol! Hope all is going well. I know how busy it gets for you. I imagine it is getting cold by you but remember little steps add up. I know that sometimes you would sub in a walk to work or to get coffee. If it is too cold don't forget all those workout videos you have. Make sure you keep yourself a priority. You look fantastic and don't have much to lose(if any) but you still need to find a way to keep your healthy habits going. Hugs my friend!4 -

A little disappointed that I went up slightly instead of down. I wasn't being as careful and ate some Halloween candy. I need to get back on track. Thankfully though I am still in onederland.4 -
As I way laying awake in bed this morning, wishing I would go back to sleep, I was contemplating all the reasons why it is so much difficult for me to lose weight. There are many reasons, I decided. But even tho there are many reasons, it is still ultimately my choice. It's not like eating that cheeseburger was done automatically, like your heart beating or swolling, or blinking, or breathing. I had to think about it and eat it. I had made a decision. As I was mulling this over, I decided to make a list of all the excuses .... all the justifications that I use for not controlling my life. Lets take them one by one:
1. Everyone on my mothers side is fat.
2. I have chronic pain.
3. The medication I take makes me gain weight.
4. The ole boy sabotage's my eating plan all the time.
5. I don't have energy to cook.
6. I work to many hours.
7. Its my time of the month.
8. It's harder for women.
9. I'm old
10. I can't afford to go to the gym.
Now all these thing may be true but in the end, it is still my choice. I can continue to justify why I won't put in the work and continue to be over weight or I can say:
1. My Aunt Helen wasn't fat
2. My client has chronic pain and she is not overweight
3. Many people take medication and don't become overweight
4. He can eat what he wants, I decide what goes in my mouth
5. I can cook when I am tired.
6. Just more reason to eat healthy.
7. Eating food is not automatic, you have a choice.
8. It is slower for women but we can do it. many women have.
9. It is slower for old people but we can do it. many old people have.
10. I can work out at home.
It seems like I always have an excuse. But I am not going to let myself explain away my bad eating choice. I do have a choice. It may be hard. But I need to get my head in the game. I choose to put the food in my mouth. It is not automatic.
Exercise for today:
Think about what your excuses and really examine them for what they are. Excuses. Make a choice today... No more excuses.5 -
Thanks @Mrsbell8well! It is not easy! I was so close to goal a year ago! I will get there. I agree, it is definitely a mind game. I try to tell myself all kinds of things so I do not eat the bad stuff, lol. Good luck to you as well! You are amazing!2

There’s a reason you’re not doing this alone, so lean on one another and share the good days and the bad days. Bring up your challenges because there’s a good chance someone else in our support group is struggling with the same thing. Brainstorm about how you can overcome those challenges.
If team mates are having trouble coming up with healthy food options or aren’t inspired to hit the gym, organize a healthy recipe exchange or share exercise tips. Set up a buddy system within the group, so you have one particular person who you can message. And don’t forget to keep the atmosphere light, laugh together and, maybe most importantly, celebrate everyone’s milestones along the way.
So lets start sharing! This group works best when all contribute. We learn, we laugh and we cry together. Our fearless leaders post challenges and it is said that they are optional. But are they really? Didn't you come here to change your life? Learning these new skills takes practice. Don't just read about it.... Commit to the challenges and come here and share how you are doing. Nothing is more important than you. Lets pull together and lift one another up from our strength as a team.

I May be in maintenance but I’m still part of the team 😁 (didn’t see my name on the roster)2

Welcome to November Team Weight No More! I'm excited for a new month and a new opportunity to meet our wellness goals!!
I'm Nancy, 50, married, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California but relocated to Montana about 7 1/2 years ago. My husband and I have been together 21 years and we have 2 dogs. He works on long term construction projects that take him away from home for extended periods of time. Been living this way for about 9 years but there's still a brief adjustment period when he leaves and again when he returns. He recently just finished a project in Pennsylvania that lasted 6 months. When he's home it can also be for an extended period which is the situation now... lots of togetherness following lots of time apart LOL.
My highest weight recorded in MFP was 220.5 on 1/1/2017. I've been a member of Team Weight No More since October 2017 I believe. I've lost 55 pounds very s..l..o..w...l...y but what I've lost I've kept off. I've experienced pretty much every emotion, pitfall, you name it during that time. If you feel like giving up, don't. Good things come to those who persevere. I continually learn so much from other teammates that has helped me on my journey and am often inspired by many of your journeys.
Currently: I exercise pretty much every day. Our 2 dogs are seniors but still very rambunctious Brittany Spaniels that are fantastic personal trainers. My favorite form of exercise is hiking. In addition, I take a yoga class 2x week. I also like JessicaSmithTV strength training and Leslie Sansone walking videos on YouTube. I'm not a vegetarian but I try to incorporate plenty of fruit/veggies, nuts/seeds, whole grains & beans into my diet to crowd out the bad stuff. I like to read a new book on health each month... this month's will be "Intuitive Eating" by Evelyn Tribole.
I'm 5 pounds from my arbitrarily chosen goal weight of 160 (I'm 5'8"). The reasons I chose 160 are because it will place me at a healthy BMI (which I don't put much stock in but anyway), I feel good at 165 and like what I see in the mirror but I just want to be a little lower on the scale for those naughty periods in life. In October I decided I was going to bust through the last 5 pounds to reach goal by Thanksgiving and spend winter in maintenance mode. So far I'm failing miserably. The last 3 days I've fought cravings, temptation, ate as planned, lived with hunger, drank my water, watched portion size and have gained each day. As of this morning I'm 166.4. So... for the moment I'll keep doing what I'm doing and wait to see if the scale will come around. So much of this journey is mindset
Let's rock November Team!!6 -

@nstephenson01 I am so excited that you are almost to goal. that is an amazing achievement. the last five pounds can be tough. but you have show that thru it all, you are no quitter. I am proud to call you my teammate.
@Mrsbell8well I found myself channeling my inner Angelina so many times thru out this journey. You have become an amazing inspiration. your focus and tenacity leave me awh struck!! I am so glad that your maintenance journey has been a positive learning experience.3 -
Happy Monday everyone. I’m curious if anyone has ever ordered from a Chinese restaurant just the chicken and vegetables without the sauce? I noticed that a Chinese restaurant near my house has what they call “diet special” and you can get it just vegetables, with chicken, shrimp or beef. The sauce is on the side and so is white rice. I don’t usually order Chinese food because it seems to trigger food cravings for me, but I noticed that option on the menu. I’m pretty sure it’s something in the sauce that causes my cravings. Anyways, I think I could make better food, but I’m not much of a cook!! And I’m not at all creative when it comes to cooking. My mother was like that and she might’ve passed it on to me, but I’m not going to blame her! I’ve had 64 years to figure it out for myself! You think that’s one of the reasons I’m still single lol!! You know that’s always a question on dating websites “How much do you like to cook?” I never answer that question!! But I do check to see if the guy likes to cook. Especially the ones that say “yes very much”!! Now if they had a question about how much I like to eat - I’d score big on that one!!!5
-
@lennoncpa - My husband got me with his cooking! I don’t mind cooking, but I love a guy who can cook! I have never heard of no sauce Chinese, but that is a good idea!
@cyndiesstuff - I love your no more excuses list. I rely on the “I am too old” one sometimes (and too tired too), but it is bs! My mom is 81 and we just got her a Fitbit. She is totally on the fitness bandwagon & doing great! When I say I am too old/tired, she scolds me & tells me to follow her example!
@nstephenson01 - For some reason, I had forgotten how much you have lost already! That is such an accomplishment! You can do it for this last stretch! You are doing great!
@jedaschultz - that is just a slight gain, and if you got into the Halloween candy, that is not so bad! November is a clean slate and you can do this!
@sleepymom5 - I could start looking at races, but as discussed with my PT, I just need to focus on the present. Prior to the July reinjury, I was rushing to get back to running and that mindset made me overdo it. My PT sees it a lot. So we are focusing on building strength, developing a healthy gait (I am still a bit lopsided from the injury), and keeping a positive attitude. Back in 2018, I wanted to do a marathon in 2020, which is unlikely. But depending how I do in the next 3 or 4 months, I may be able to do a late spring half marathon, or at the very least a 5 or 10 km. I am just not ready to get into specifics quite yet. The overnight oats are from Skinny Taste and the link is below. I have tried a lot of different overnight oats recipes and I keep going back to this one as it is yummy & a complete breakfast. You can use any type of fruit (fresh or frozen), any sweetener (or not) and any type of milk. If you would like a larger portion, just keep the oat & milk ratio at 1:2. You can eat it cold, but I prefer mine heated in the microwave & I add some extra nut milk after. I have made it in a jar, but you can also just make it in any container. I make 5 days worth and love not having to think about what I will eat in the morning. This dish is pretty portable & I suppose you could also have it for lunch!

Hi I'm Tracy, 47, I live in Hudson New Hampshire. I have been married for a very, very long time. 2 boys 25 and 22. I just had a granddaughter born 2 1/2 weeks, she's so precious. There is another one on the way due in February. So my life has been a little busy right now. My 22 year old and his little family lives with us right now. He was in a bad car accident last year and lucky to be alive. He was out of work Oct to July. So we are letting them get on their feet. It's great to be able to see her every day. This weekend she has been very grumpy so lots of cuddle time from people.
I have spent the last few years losing and gaining the same 5 pounds. Makes me crazy. I'm trying hard. I'm hoping with the time change I will be able to exercise before work. I have my meals prepped for tomorrow and will be going to Zumba. I did the same yesterday for today. I just didn't get my workout in. As for the sleep challenge, I do not sleep well , I wish I did. I usually wake up every few hours then stay awake at 2-4, then I have to be up at 5 for work. That's why I can't get up at 430 to get a quick workout in. I'm usually so tired.
I also got my Fitbit account back after 2 weeks. Someone hacked it. Why would someone want to steal my Fitbit account?4 -
Quick emergency check in. I came home cold, slightly scratchy throat, a bit of a pulled thigh muscle from all that basement cleaning...saw kettle corn on the counter and pleaded with Molly to advise me. All I wanted was a small bowl of popcorn, whiskey on the rocks or a hot toddy, a warm blankie and a good tv show. Definitely not yoga. Molly told me to pause and sit with my feelings for a bit. It was truly a difficult moment. I thought of my commitment to all of you. Dragged myself upstairs, just finished yoga and staying on plan. Phew that was close.7

Monday 11/4 check in
Food: logged and on track
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes at the gym with the trainer. Back was pretty sore when I got up so we took it a little easy.
I worked a 10 hour shift last night so I got to bed later than normal. Slept about 4 hours and then got up to go meet with my trainer.
Went to the chiropractor after that. I told him my back was pretty sore today but pretty good yesterday. He asked if I had worked last night. I told him yes. He thinks that's why, makes sense I had the weekend off to rest. Felt pretty good after the adjustment. I asked if adjustments can also make you tired. He said absolutely. He said he remembers getting adjusted as a kid and then going home and taking a nap. His dad and great uncles were also chiropractors.
I took a nap after I had supper tonight because of not getting enough sleep earlier. I slept so soundly that I didn't know where I was or what the noise was when my alarm went off.
I see there's lots of posts out there, I haven't had a chance to read them yet. Will have to do that tomorrow. Have to go in to work now. Have a great night everyone!

Monday 11/4 check in
Food: logged and on track
Water: 88 oz
Exercise and steps 15 min bike, 15 min treadmill, PT, stretching and arms. As of 10:52pm 8145 steps.
Another good day! I am not sure my plan for tomorrow. I am going home but my flight isn't until 5. I need to check out and pick up lunch for my Mom. My cousin is supposed to stop by too so I want to be there when she is there. I would like to do the 15 on bike and treadmill but my legs are really killing tonight. I did walk a lot other than the treadmill with shopping and doing laundry so I am not sure if I should just do the walking at the airport tomorrow. If I decide to go to the hotel gym, I won't have much time for the computer so that is why I am checking in now. Daytona airport is really small so it is so nice with returning the rental car and going through security. I have a layover in Charlotte and I won't be back to Philly until after midnight. It is going to be a long day but it was a good trip. I got a lot done, enjoyed my time with my Mom and stayed on track. So...Not sure what I am doing. If I don't get on in the morning, I definitely wont be on until Wednesday OK, I want to get to bed sooner than last night.
@jedaschultz That is basically a maintain. Don't let this get you off track. You have such a great plan and have been doing well. Keep it going!
@cyndiestuff I think a lot of us can relate to the excuses post, you are right, No more excuses! Love the Team post too! This is an awesome team! We need to both support and be supported at times.
@nstephenson01 What a great plan for November. You are so close to your goal. I was listening to a book on tape, The Compound Effect. He said nothing fails like success. He said people get to a certain level of success and get too comfortable and then become complacent. I haven't even gotten close to my goal but I totally get what he is talking about. I guess what I am suggesting to you is to take those last 6 pounds and hit them like you did when you were at the point that you had a lot to lose. You got this! November is going to be your month!
@Cafelelia Love the pic for the weigh day! Thanks for the heads up this am too. I think I straightened it out. Hope you were able to start your week off smoothly after your super busy weekend . I totally get about rushing into things. I didn't think of it that way. I think I need to talk to my PT about my gait too. I am waddling or something. Not going to look so nice when I am walking down the aisle for my son's wedding. I know I have to build strength in my hip. Sounds like you are doing great with your progress with PT. Hopefully you can safely start to plan your races in the near future xo. Oh-and thanks for the overnight oats recipe. I am going to try it. The calories aren't bad at all!
@lennoncpa I have never ordered Chinese food without the sauce. I am not sure how it would taste or maybe you can see if there is a healthy sauce that you can make. I am not much of a cook but my Mom AND dad were good cooks. I am sure my daughters will blame it on me Lol! I think it is funny that they ask about cooking on dating sites. Lol! I would be in trouble!
@ljdanny It must be so nice to have the baby there! How is your son doing physically now. I know for a while he couldn't catch a break. It was one thing after another. I hope all is well for him now. Sleep is tough, especially when it is broken up like that. Have you always had trouble or has it been when you got older. I am usually ok but sometimes I do have trouble too. I agree, what a weird account to hack. I don't know what information that is there. I guess your name, address and BD. I don't think we store credit cards. Are we friends on FB?
I am glad you have your account back.
@Mrsbell8well I hope you aren't coming down with something. I am sure in the morning you will be happy you made the choices you did.
@tryingagain5 I am trying to remember if you stand at work. For some reason I think you said you do. I am sure that contributes to the back pain too. I hope that the new mattress and working with the chiropractor helps relieve it. When you have time, definitely go through the posts you missed, at least the ones that are introducing themselves. I read them all, even if I know the person well. I always seem to find something new. I love reading the intros. Hope you have a good night at work

I almost forgot to write my reflections for October and my goals for November. I told you I would do them in Florida
October...it really went by so quick. I started at the shore, a lot of running back and forth from shore to Pa, then vacation and then my knees started up. Successes during October-Biggest success was going on vacation and not gaining weight!! I also am really starting to do better with letting myself get hungry. It turns out, it is not the end of the world. Who knew?! . I also got into a good routine by the end of the month, I know I had that bad week but I do feel like I am in a good place.
My goals for November...
I want to eat more fruits and vegetables
I want to get consistent with stretching and strength training
I am a little torn about setting a goal for my weight. I actually would like not to gain. I am very worried about the week of the wedding and the week of Thanksgiving. It is going to be more than two days. I have a lot of people traveling and staying. A lot haven't been to the bar. It is going to almost be like a vacation. I get nervous every time I think of it but I need to start thinking and make a plan.5
