I hate to be a downer... I try to remain positive in my posts...but I wanted to share that tomorrow will be the 2nd anniversary of my Mom’s passing… it’ll be a tough one. Going to try to keep myself super busy (Wednesday’s are usually my busiest day anyway). Try to stay on track with my goals and not cave into the sad emotions.

I'll be thinking of you. Hugs.

@SLIMn2016 I hear you and sounds like you have a good plan....

Thank you @holmesp603 ...I'll be making some of my Mom's recipes on Thanksgiving too...and that does give some comfort knowing how much she loved to cook.

You and yours have my thoughts and prayers through the holidays. ✝️❤️🙏

Love my new fitness training gym. Great workout, excellent facility.

Nice calorie burn! Glad the new gym is working out. We want to hear more!

Hey Sue. Yeah, today was my first day at the new gym. They asked me to come in half hour early and get my vitals. Height, weight, and measurements. Also talked to the athletic trainer about current injuries, exercise limitations and overall health. They are very thorough, with the info they set up your daily workout routine. This Thurs, I will meet with the nutritionist, she wants last two week's daily food logs and we will sit down and set up a daily nutritional guide geared for healthy weight loss.

I'm in the beginner class, so there was more exercise technique teaching. There are 4 different stations, 10 mins at each station. Each station has 4-5 exercises with 10-12 reps, then repeat again, and again for ten mins. Then a 90 sec rest and on to the next station. They keep a brisk pace and the trainers are always nearby to make sure you are exercising with precise technique. First station was with dumbells and kettle bells. Second station was with these awesome bikes that are programmed for your workout, third station was medicine ball, and last station with this huge, very steep inclined treadmill looking machine that you have to generate your own power with 5 different exercises. This machine kicked my butt.

What's neat is you can put on a chest strap heart monitor which is color coded, so everyone has a different color. My color was like a teal green, they have these giant monitors all over the exercise area, so you can look up, find
your color and see your heart rate, pulse and the trainers can monitor your workout. They also have ten minute countdown monitors so you can stay on schedule with your reps, especially with the bikes and that steep inclined treadmill thing.

The big thing I need to get used to is the lighting and that loud thump workout music. When the monitor counts down from 5, the lights get dimmer, then like a blacklight/blue light takes over and the music gets louder and intense. I guess it's pretty neat, just have to get used to it.

I really enjoyed it, got a great workout and can't wait until next session.
