@jugar Thanks for the kind words! Losing 5 inches is WAY better than sleep losing 5 lbs! It's pretty funny ♥️😂😂1

Steps for 2/19 = 9,140
So last night I was doing my 45 minute video, and the husband walked by and decided to tell me that that looked like alot of work, and blah blah blah... So I was like "it is, I am seriously thinking about only doing 30 minutes cause doing this 2 days in a row is hard..." granted it didn't sound that smooth, there was lots of loud breathing between words... anyway... I really wanted to stop at 30 minutes, BUT I DIDN'T, I finished, and it felt good...
Then the brat decided to complain about how many clothes were in the hamper when I asked him to take it downstairs since it was full... Had the nerve to say I changed my clothes too much.. SO when I was done, I took my stinky sweaty self and sat right next to him on the couch... and told him I wouldn't shower tonight in order to use less clothes... LOL... he agreed it was okay to have one extra load a week if it helped my health... Men, I swear gotta love em...

I should have known better. The massage was a terrible idea.
I'm covered in hives. Covered.
Even their hypoallergenic stuff was no good.
Stupid sensitive skin.4 -

I hope you were really stinky!! Seriously - guys can sometimes have a problem but you were an excellent teacher, there. Well done!1 -

Oh no! I often have this problem. Even the sun breaks me out in a rash, especially on my legs. Meh. Well - you can have a nice Benadryl nap, right? Hope it clears up quick!1 -
@conleywoods Congratulations on the 5 inch loss. That is fantastic and makes a huge difference. And that husband...it's just not fair. Glad he's fun to look at though.
@Gidgitgoescrazy You crack me up. Way to go after that smartypants hubby of yours. And KUDOS for your amazing, continued workout ethic. You are wise to listen to your body. Hugs.
@Terytha What a bummer!! That's not what you needed for your birthday. Hope the hives calm down quickly and you feel 100% soon.
I am still not where I want to be as far as discipline. Weather has been mostly gray and I think it's getting to me. I know that's an excuse. But, I have been off my exercise streak. No real extended cardio yet this week. My steps are still good. I am doing a couple challenges on fitbit. (one with @evangsimmons170) So, that's motivating. But, I am not being careful about food. I am not a big planner or prelogger. I have been grabbing leftovers to use them up. Not always the lowest calorie choice, I know. Checking in here always helps me get my head in the right place. Right now, it's snowing outside (first time this season), my hubby is asleep on our bed, and my granddaughter is asleep as well. I should get off here and go do some pilates. At least it's something. Go, Michele! Go do it.
Hope your Thursday is going great.
PS Did get to hear some great live jazz last night, mostly UNCG college students. They were fantastic!5 -
Hoo boy. I had one of those out of control eating days today. Not sure why, but I ended up going with it and letting it happen to see if I could figure out what was behind it. I think it was a kind of "release from people" day. I spent a week at my daughter's place, with lots of people every day, then came back and had company for a few days. Getting back to just being on my own all day today brought on that weird release of .I can do anything I want", or whatever that is. If no one sees me it doesn't happen? Planning is for "normal" days? Something strange like that. It happens from time to time, but luckily does not usually last long. I also got some good exercise on the snowshoes, and it was kind of fun eating all kinds of stuff. I just guessed some weird number of calories in my log. And when I think back, it was still not as much as I used to eat on those kind of days, so I'm not going to let it bother me too much, as long as the reins are back firmly in my hands tomorrow!
OK - speaking of tomorrow - it is our biggest weigh-in day of the week. Are you ready?

I love the way you roll with reality, and change your plan as needed rather than abandoning it altogether. WTG! And isn't Pilates fabulous? I'm a fairly recent convert, and it is so great as you master each hard move and start to really feel a waist! strong back! and other fun things. You've got the roll ups now, the side planks will keep getting better, I'm sure! I am good with those, but struggle with the straight leg teaser-based moves. I think my arms are too short [/quote]
Teaser-moves? I’ve done Pilates before, but haven’t heard of those.
Of *course* your arms are too short! They go with the rest of you, though, which is a great thing. So, “Din-nah fash”.
I told myself today that I’ll get a smaller size pair of pants when I can slide this pair off without unzipping or unbuttoning them. I did it! I’m pretty psyched.
Time to sleep.

I worked so hard to get this down from last week. On Monday I weighed 224.2 so the hard work paid off. I am having a bad PMS cycle and it feels like my body has been in chaos for about 8 days. Moody, bloated, so tired, cravings and dealing with constipation (doesn't help the weigh in situation). I know it will end once my period starts but it's been a long haul. I think I over did it around Valentines. If my diet is on track and I work out PMS can be pretty mild. Motivation to do better. I'm definitely in a motivation low right now. Hoping to gain some momentum her soon. Got new workout shoes, 2 pairs, and one is light pink with gold accents. Now that is something I can get excited about. I love girly stuff! Probably just need to wear more sparkly eyeshadow till my mood improves!
@gidgitgoescrazy You are so inspiring, truly awesome right now!7 -
Wow! Friday weigh-ins so far are fabulous! Great job @Gidgitgoescrazy and @conleywoods !

I'm a day early will not be home this weekend.
Not a good Month for me, even though I have been trying really hard to eat clean the scale hasn't been kind. But I really shouldn't complain this is the first month since last Jan 2019 that I mostly likely will not show a loss. I just need to figure a way to break through this wall and get the scale moving again.5 -

Tired! Probably overdoing it a bit on exercise. Also working on maintaining a 500 cal deficit last few days. That could be it!!3

I'm so hungry! I'm tired and healing and I guess my body's response to that is MOAR FOOD because I'm just dying to inhale the biggest sandwich I can find.
One of those scenarios where food is "what my body wants" but what is actually needed is sleep and antihistamines, so listening to myself would completely fail to make anything better.3 -
Oh crap - people I work with, who are frequent huggers, are now sick w/prob flu. no, no, no Going to make soup when get home and go to bed early.4

Weight in: 105.0. Super okay with this. I know I’m doing the right things right now food wise. The scale just has to. Catch up. And I need more fiber bc .... I don’t poop daily. I know if I add veggies that straightens out after a good week.
Happy Friday peeps.
Sorry I’ve not been very active in posting and all.5 -

Crazy busy week!6 -
Happy Friday! We had our first little snow here last night, so spent some time outside enjoying the snow with Juliet today.
I have a feeling I may be gaining tomorrow. I am so over full right now. Went out to eat Mexican food with my family. Definitely not being mindful. I am still under for calories, but my scale is not recovering from my gain a few weeks ago.
Sounds like a few of us are having a hard time staying on track this month. I’d like to blame it on Mercury in retrograde 😉. What do we do to get ourselves back on track and motivated? I know my missing piece has been a good cardio/peak workout at the gym. I have gotten in my 10 minutes or more each day and LOTS of steps each day. My food has been sloppy, not well balanced. I’m logging everything but feel like I am eating too many calories or too much food. Ahhhhh, I don’t know. We’ll see.5 -
Happy more of Friday!
I sure hope you keep the flu away @cory17 - take tons of vitamin C and get plenty of rest. Then let the good old human immune system do its awesome work!
@Terytha - step away from the giant sandwich! You are feeling sleepy... Your eyes are getting heavy... Follow the swinging pocket watch... tick... tock... tick... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Well done @Shexio! You are right to go after plenty of fibre. It makes everything better!
@matthewsfive - I am seriously impressed that this is the first month you have not lost some weight in 12 months! Or 13 if you lost in January 2019. Take a little plateau - enjoy sitting still for a minute - and you'll certainly get losing again. It sounds like a good moment for the free trial version of maintenance, right? Don't lose for a bit, and then your mojo will be back!

Ugh work has us do a weigh in and if we are in our healthy BMI weight we get an extra $600. I have know about this since January 1st and have been working really hard to get to my weight. My weigh in was yesterday and I was still overweight according to my BMI. I’ve only lost 5 lbs in these last two months and they were all mostly lost in the first 2 weeks. Now I do have another chance to get the $ but I have to do a program like Weight Watchers or Noom. I’m a little frustrated.4
-
@bunnybuns1111 dang on the missed BMI. Would a program like the Beachbody 21 Day fix also be an option? I enjoyed the portion control of that program when I did it a couple years ago.1

Maybe you could suggest our program? You have to weigh in weekly just like WW, you can commit to the exercise program of your choice and report daily, keep up your food/exercise diary, etc. We'd love to be your team for this, and then we can cheer you on and toss the tiaras around when you get your bonus! At least this one is free - but if you have to do another program, I hope you'll stick with us to share your progress.
Let the frustration push you forward - one of my favourite reminders comes from a fantastic novel by Peter Behrens (The Law of Dreams). "Anger gave you strength. Disquiet kept you going."

Yesterday was the first day since early in the month that I have checked off ALL 5 of the actions I am tracking in the habit tracker. Sheesh! I have been quite the slacker. It is amazing to see the whole month in one place and to note where the holes tend to grow. I used to hate this kind of tracker because it was somehow shameful to have something not checked off. But it is just information. Sometimes it is because the habit I chose is not important enough, or is something I am resisting for a reason it is good to think about. Sometimes, it is just life getting in the way. Sometimes it is me being a slacker. Whatever the reason, it is data - anyone who still wants to use the habit tracker is welcome! It is in the Announcements section. If you have questions, just post 'em here.3
