Motivation for me right now is competition. I'm doing a step challenge at work now, and I want to be one of the top performers. Cycling helps! Being part of this group striving for green and avoiding red is motivation I need *right now.* It could be different in future.
I love hearing the stories of the NEXT 10 or 100 pounds! From my very worst (209) to consistently healthy (135-140) was 70 pounds, but most of my life was around 160-180. I'm trying to get back to 140, and I'm about 10 pounds away.
So... Come on team! Burn more calories than you eat! WE CAN DO THIS!6 -

Wednesday check in time. Got up early and worked out before work. Right as I was walking out the door for work I noticed our pump was making a strange sound. Opened up our crawl space and water was spraying every where. Oh no! My father in law took care of patching things up until the plumber could come. Work was super busy and it took forever to test this one little dude who said "no" to everything. Thank goodness for bubbles, a tiny sloth toy and mini m & m's. Went out to lunch with my dad but then brought pizza home tonight due to having the water shut off. Too much eating out this week for sure. Lots of meetings lately. I'm definitely ready for the week to end. One more day and then we have a long weekend. Our plumber is so awesome. He came up tonight after his regular shift and fixed everything up! Picked up some beef jerky at a specialty shop for him since he squeezed us in. So basically I spent my day using food to motivate small children and plumbers alike. Ha😂 Tomorrow is a new day and it should be a fun day. Classroom Valentine parties will be a nice change of pace!4

What a Wednesday! I have a lot of catching up to do tomorrow - I'll post pictures of our wonderful hike in the Rockies, the amazing views, the mountain goats and moose we saw, and all the news. I hope your plumber gets there before I get back here, @conleywoods - yikes!!3

Andreabroadley wrote: »Hi everyone thought I’d share this little recipe for chia seed pudding. Healthy fats and fruits and low in net carbs.
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 frozen blueberries
1/4 c skim milk
Stir it up and let it sit for 15 and it’s ready!!! About 175 cals
It is really filling and from my blood sugar experiment I am doing it does not spike it because it has a lot of fibre, so even a good night time snack for me if I need one. I am typically eating it in the afternoon.0 -

You guys inspired me, I signed up for my 1st 5k ever.... It's in 1 month - it's the Shamrock 5k... this is way outside of my comfort zone... But I'm gonna do it... My hubby and son are going to do it with me...5 -
Its almost noon in my time. I'm thinking about why lately each day takes such initiative to stay positive and on track with my fitness goals. Can you all share your methods to stay encouraged? Thanks in advance!
I find winter tougher with less light. But I recall you live in Europe so maybe you are not facing the same problem?
The only thing I find that really works is to put it in my calendar and put an alarm on it. For me it is more about habit than motivation. I usually find more motivation once I get going though.
Good luck with it! Keep going!1 -
They gave me that cardiolite scan of my heart yesterday. Hopefully results today,, I will let you know if it is "exciting". LOL.
Have a great day everyone!2 -

@conleywoods So glad everything worked out with your leak. You have a very admirable attitude. Love that you have a great village of people to help you out. Hope the Valentines parties are a pleasant change. Food is an amazing motivator too.
@jugar I am excited to see your photos of the Canadian Rockies. Have fun.
@andreabroadly Congratulations on the nice loss and I will trying that recipe today. Hope you get good test results today.
@matthewsfive Sorry to hear your week has felt like a month. You are so disciplined, I’m sure you'll be fine. Hope things slow down for you in the busy way, not dragging on more. Hugs and hang in there.
@Shexio Happy to hear your foot is improving and you’re having a good week. Lots of Green tomorrow.1 -

I am planning on walk/jogging... Hubby and I are gonna start practicing outside, I have to go on the hunt for a really good sports bra though, the ones I own I would never be comfortable even jogging in public.. I have an Enell somewhere that I paid a million dollars for but never wore, because it was a bear just to get on, and I was never actually going to try to run.. So hopefully I can find that this weekend...

Happy Thursday! I'm finally getting onto the computer. It is so good to have all your news! Sounds like everyone is making great decisions - lots of fortitude shining through and delish food
So here I was yesterday with my daughter:
And on top of the Rock!
So far today we are indulging in complete indolence. So I am about to go put down the mat and do some Pilates at least. It is VERY cold and windy, so I don't feel like going out! I know we will eventually...
Have a great day, everyone! I'll put out the nagging for weigh-ins later, so if you don't want to appear on the overdue list (I'm looking at some of you, Tuesday Wednesday people!!!) get 'em in before I put up the nag list.

Dinner - 748 calories. Salmon, asparagus, baked potato with sour cream, cantaloupe and raspberries, half roll.
I did 33 minutes cardio on my stationary bike. Haven’t hit my step goal yet today. Water is good.
@Andreabroadley I tried the Chia pudding with frozen strawberries. It was good and VERY filling. Had it in the afternoon. Held me until dinner.
@cory17 The bread at breakfast is Trader Joe’s Sourdough.5 -
Hey friends!! Here are my responses to the groundhog challenge. Even if you aren’t participating, these two felt important and wanted to share. Feel free to answer the questions here if you like.

Day 12 - February 13. How have your habits changed or evolved over time?
1ji362towgcs.png
Wow! So much has changed since starting with F2F. I move more all the time. I am purposely inefficient. Learned about those NEAT calories and take full advantage. I make myself exercise regularly as I strive to make it a habit. I have learned so many things about healthy foods and have tried lots of new foods and recipes. I log the bad days as well as the good days. I’m not kidding anyone if I don’t. Most importantly, I’m not giving up. This is my new way of life.2 -
Thursday already! OK. @micki48 Steps 3,200
@jugar 186.7 (when will you be back?)
I can tell my stress levels combined with heavy protein and lower fibre has added to my bloat this week! It seems that my go to word to remind myself of my commitment is "Focus". Of course, I use this word to complete regular tasks doing desk or school work regularly. I'm working towards adding other strategies to manage ADHD without the meds I've used for the last 6 years. The jury is still out on that idea.
My habits are still a bit covered up and jumbled since joining the F2F family. I'll think about it and add some more in the next couple of days.
I will be exercising more tomorrow since it's a day for teaching a class as well as scrubbing some of the pool stairs, etc.
It's supposed to be wicked cold tomorrow with negative wind chills. However, my lunch is all planned and my brekky will be simple and not too heavy so I can actually get my weight moving back down in the right direction this weekend!
Have a lovely night.
Back on the horse (and eating off the dark blue small salad plate instead of any of those bright colored dinner plates which "fire up" the appetite!)...ride on, sweeties.5 -
Weigh-in Friday
PW: 180.5
CW: 176.6
Had a good week but also an awful stomach bug for 2 days where I couldn't stomach anything other then soup (silver linings!)
I hope I can keep it off.4 -
Pw 181.4
Cw 178.8
Steps = 6469
Finally broke that 180 mark... woohoo9 -
Well I am very happy to report that the test is negative, according to the report I just saw yesterday afternoon. Still seeing a cardiologist in a couple of weeks but I will assume the radiologist who did the final read got it right. Yay! Thanks everyone for your support!8

Way to go @micki48 those changes are fab!1

PW 159.4
CW 159.4
Tuesday I was 159.3 and thought I would have made more progress by Friday but didn’t happen. I did workout every day this week. But I do have to say though that my Tuesday and Wednesday workouts were kind of lackluster. My scrub pants are fitting better though. I am back in my mediums and put the large back on the top shelf of the closet. Still frustrating not seeing the scale go down.5 -
I have to tell you guys since doing the pilates on a regular basis for 2 weeks, I was putting on my shoes this morning sitting on a bench cause the dogs were on the couch, so I was telling the dogs how they are spoiled, well I noticed when I was slouched my mid section hurt, but when I sat with proper posture, it did not... I am going to count this as a good thing... a very good thing, because I have the worst posture...6

Happy Friday!
My last day here in Alberta -- we'll be out playing with the horses, then going over to a friend of my daughter's for dinner and feeding a couple of really young calves(!). It has been a great week, but it has gone by way too fast. There's a lot of new snow back home, though, so I'll get plenty of snowshoe time to compensate for too much couch time here!
There have been some seriously impressive weigh-ins! WTG everyone - the energy of the spring is starting to bubble up!
See if we can get everyone caught up by the end of the day:
late:
@ElleBellesTheoBear
@Juliemargaretkim
@cedarfoxy
Due today:
@AmyRobF
@Steph1498
@mrsjar5311
@mrs_chivonne
@conleywoods
@robertefortier536
@Shexio
I'll go back through to make sure I didn't miss anyone - thanks!4
