I am sharing the excitement of Dillon, the puppy, turning 1 today! I did go a little crazy about it(hence the hat), and I am making him a puppy cake(in bone shape!) this weekend... of course, he will have to share with his brother! I may make a cake for my boyfriend and I this weekend, so we can enjoy some with the puppies!

Too cute. He looks so happy. Happy Birthday, Dillon!! Enjoy the celebration, Christine.

He is adorable!! What a fun celebration. I love the idea of the bone cake.

@richmondwriter thank you! And he LOVED the cake! It was peanut butter flavored! And I added a little peanut butter to the icing for both of the puppies to enjoy!

I went back to work yesterday!!

I am so glad the gym is back open. I attended a weight class on Monday and taught my first Spinning class on Tuesday. We have a lot of new rules, but it was so nice to be back. And I am happily sore today 😄

@simbersea I am so happy for you! They opened up non-essential retail and outdoor-seating restaurants here today. The earliest date gyms will open in CT is June 20th, but that is not definite. We will see!

Lessons learned: Yesterday, I was counting calories, but didn't check the count of a coconut macaroon until it was too late. I thought they would have about 50 calories each...170 calories EACH. And I had three of them. So, no assumptions in the future--I will check the calorie count first.

I am also dealing with a new family member's habits. My Mom (the macaroon purchaser) is staying with us for the summer. I love having her here, but she has very poor eating and exercise habits. I'm going to try to teach her some healthy habits. Today, I made her oatmeal with berries, and later I am going to teach her a line dance.

    MUAC for 5/19/20:
    Tracked: Yes
    Under: No
    Exercised: Yes

I understand!!! I meet my mom to give her groceries, and she's always got some type of desert to send back with me! This week it is vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and chopped walnuts... I keep telling myself there is protein in the walnuts! 🤣

I hope you enjoy your mother's company, and the two of you can compromise on food choices!

I have skipped a few 21 Day Fix workouts because I have been getting outside for more walks, and really don't want to overdo it! I think I will start incorporating a little more ab work(either 10 minute fix for abs, or 30 minute Cardio Core Remix) on days when I have a lot of stepping in!

I did get a double leash to take both dogs for walks together, but the process needs some tinkering! Today I took both, but we only made it a few houses down before Roy peed on Dillon. Maybe karma for the yoga incident? It was running off of his head, so we turned back and I took only Roy for the walk, because he doesn't fight me to go back home immediately!

Weigh In Week: May- week 4
    Weigh in day: Friday
    Previous Week's weight: 172.5
    Todays Weight: 170.5

My back is slowly getting better. I'm trying to ease my way into workouts. We hit 106* earlier this week and I realized that I need to tone up my arms so I'm not so self conscious wearing tank tops, so that's what I did today. School is out for the summer here so good news is no more fighting about online school bad news is no routine and all around chaos.

Haha! And thank you for the 👋👋! I have to spritz some lemon and I found an app on my iPhone that has been nagging me all day so that has been very helpful and keeps the cravings away during fasting times.

I’m so glad your back is getting better, I totally understand how hard it is to maneuver around that kind of pain. I would encourage great stretches and building up your core muscles. Since incorporating that into my daily exercise, Ive been able to slow down the frequency in which I pull out my back... oh and also!! Every few weeks I run my legs up and down one of those hard noodle looking things they have at the gym. You wouldn’t believe how much back pain actually stems from the tightness in your legs muscles!!

I know, after about 64oz my stomach rebels if I pick up a water bottle. I drink 2 bottles (about 5 cups) in the morning with my spinning class and spread the rest throughout the day but by about 5:00 my body says "nope, can't drink any more."
