Go back from camping and went to my parents house for dinner. No one wanted to cook so we ordered out from a new bbq place my mom wanted to try. Everything was delicious but I definitely went over calorie limit. No regrets though. I still mostly stuck to diet, it was just high calorie meat. Had I eaten that on an exercise day I would have still been under calorie so it's not so bad. It was a planned indulgence and I'm back at it today! About to put the girls down for a nap and go for a walk.2 -

Tuesday Daily Check-In:
Day #2 of my new resolution!
Yesterday I bought my bullet journal and now am learning how do do this - I walked for over an hour which was great even though it's starting to get cold, and it's been raining in Paris for weeks now!
I am currenly cooking a huge batch of vegetable chili which should come out at 4-5 meals for the week, meaning I have less room to cheat, fingers crossed ^^
For now I've had half of my 3l goal and am not worried about reaching it (I'm thirsty these days!) and am still within my calories, so all good I just need to convince myself to go for my walk of 30 minutes, maybe after dinner later when there are less people out and about.2 -

Yesterday I took a second non tracking day, I was lazy after my friends went home. I did a short walk but took some time to rest since knee is still sore from all my exercise last week. Today I will get back to tracking before I totally fall off. Scale was down a good bit this am but we will see if that is still the case by Wednesday. Fingers crossed!!!

Here for Monday check in. It's been a rollercoaster of a week with job interviews, job offers and injury! I fell down the stairs on Wednesday, thankfully nothing broken and walking pretty much back to normal but foot/ankle still not 100% so not sure where I stand on exercise unfortunately. Had a few not so good days of eating last week so I shouldn't be overly surprised this week on gaining.. just need to get back down.

Something I have been playing with on the treadmill and thought I would pass along the information I have.
When I first started out on MFP, I posed the question which is better, going faster or a steeper incline for weightloss.
Many people had told me the faster, so that is what I have been doing... BUT.... the incline burns more fat.
I had been going almost a year now with around a 3 incline and anywhere between 2.5-2.7 mph.
The past couple weeks I have been doing a 10 incline and nothing past a 2.1 mph and I am burning twice as many calories and really feel it in my legs. I do a mile each time I am on the treadmill which is anywhere between 25-27 minutes, depending how often I play with my speed.
So if you want to burn alot of calories increase your incline if possible on your treadmill.
Just thought I would share with you all what I figured out.
I will have to keep this in mind if I ever get back to the gym. When I did go I always used the treadmill but never played with the incline.28Haveitall2020 wrote: »Hi all

No, I don't use the Peloton bike. I already had a spin bike, and since Covid started I've been using the Peloton Digital app (it's only $12.99 a month and on my big screen TV). I don't get the use of the leaderboard, or all of the diagnostics of the ride (although my bike does show some on an app I use with it), but I can ride all the same rides for a fraction of the cost and I use the app along with my treadmill for the running and bootcamp classes too. It's a great value to use the app, if you don't want to commit to the Peloton bike (since you can cancel the app at any time).
Tell you daughter to look at the Peloton Facebook pages--there are some for both the Peloton bike owners and some for the digital riders. The Peloton Digital FB pages talk about what other kinds of bikes they use successfully. The Peloton FB pages talk about the new Peloton bike B and other --it might be helpful to her in making a decision.1 -

There are campsites around here that put on big halloween events every year. Decorating competition, games trick or treating, the works. Basically this year they just announced they weren't going to set up games or sponsor anything but that they wouldn't stop it from happening if people handed out candy anyway, which lots did. Almost everyone had gloves and mask on. I don't know about actual halloween. There are lots of houses decorated in my neighborhood. No announcements yet.

My weight is up from Monday. I am .8 pounds heavier than I was on Friday. It may be from Thanksgiving dinner or just those crazy scale fluctuations. We will see what Friday brings. I bought a smart scale yesterday from Amazon. It’s prime days so there’s great deals. I have wanted one for awhile. I would like the Fitbit scale but it is pricey.
Sleep is hit or miss lately. I was in bed before 10 pm but I was up for about 70 minutes close to 1 am. I think sleep is a big factor in weight loss. I have done two 5 minute walks so far today. I am expecting a package but I think I will take a chance and go for a quick walk.

Had a bad day yesterday. My scale was up again and this time a total of 2.3 over my low and it got to my. I am doing everything right but not seeing results. So, I let it get the best of me and I had a pity day with no exercise (I HATE ANY EXERCISE) and even dipped into the Halloween candy (only 4 fun sized bars). I managed to stay under calories but blew the other goals including my ring streak and I don’t care.
I decided today that I am going to try not weighing in until weigh-day on Friday and see how that goes.2 -

Amazing exercise! I love my crockpot. Today I am making lemon butter chicken. Looking at it I think I will use less chicken broth and butter next time. It called for a stick of butter which I have no clue how much that is so I just weighed some and added it. I use a liner with my crockpot to make clean up easier. Hope it taste good as it is my new recipe for the week. I think I am going to have rice with it but I haven’t decided which veggies yet.
