HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. The total will be by month, and cumulative - so you can really rack them up and get to your goal even if you never hit the top of the leaderboard.
In an effort to recognize accomplishments, we are using an optional addition to the weigh in format called LOSS TO DATE or LTD. Please just leave this new line off if you do not want to participate. Here is the new format:
Username
Weigh In Day
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
LTD (Loss to Date): your TOTAL loss since your highest weight ever
If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captains here on your team chat page. If you take a break, you are moved to the Support Team. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off. You can remain on the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions and weigh in if you want to, but your weigh-ins will not be counted on the weekly tally.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! After hitting your goal, you need support to stay there, and you can help your teammates join you. You must continue to weigh in every week, and if you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!
In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Hello everyone! I’m Theresa and I live in downtown Toronto, Canada. Together with @minstrelofsarcasm I'm a co-captain here on TWNM.
About me
I have two grown children. My daughter Elisabeth lives nearby with her partner, Jake. My son Phil lives in a small town an hour away with his wife, Katie, and two children. Pippa is 3 1/4 years old and Gilbert is almost 1 1/2. I have a Havanese dog named Xavy.
I had a career as an advertising and publishing executive. For years I ran, cycled, and swam. Then one day, as my daughter says, just like Forrest Gump I stopped.
My weight story
As a child, I was an average weight, except this one time when my next-door neighbour's grandmother babysat and fed us too much. When my children were small, I was very slim, about 120 lbs, probably from chasing them around. In my forties I was at my ideal weight, a toned 142 lbs.
Three and a bit years ago, when my granddaughter was born, I saw a photo and didn’t recognize myself. I did look like a happy nana and I’m sure I was comfy to hug, but I want to live to be a ‘little’ old lady.
In January 2018, I weighed 177.4 lbs with a goal of a toned 142 lbs. I began by losing almost 30 pounds in the first year and plateaued for about a year. My mother was very frail and in need of full-time support. Curiously, Covid has allowed my sister and me more time to focus on ourselves.
The present
For the past year, I've been working towards launching a start-up with a friend from my business days. It’s an online service where people can hire professional genealogists by the minute to get past brick walls with their family trees. I’m not going to jinx the launch by giving you a date.
This summer and fall, I did a variety of activities including HIIT over Zoom, cycling on my used Spin bike indoors and on my bicycle outdoors. I look after my grandchildren every Friday, which is heavy work (shout out to all the moms of toddlers and preschoolers here!) and walk Xavy every day.
My November goals- Work out 3 to 4 days a week - Spinning, HIIT, and weights at home.
- Get to a lower set point or weekly average weight of 145.5.
- See 142 on the scale.
- Choose weight range for maintenance.
My words for 2020, and this is a reminder to myself, are Balance and Listen.
I'm adding a word for November, feel free to add one too, and it's Reflective.
Please share your November goals and re-introduce yourself to the team. This will help our new teammates get to know you more quickly. Plus it’s always nice to reacquaint amongst ourselves. Everyone loves personal stories.
Everyone, if you’re comfortable sharing your first name when you introduce yourself, please do.

My name is Patsy. I was not overweight as a child, in the 60s everyone was skinny - just thought we were fat! I weighed less that 100 pounds until I had my babies and then only 105. I put on all the extra pounds starting in my 40s but was told not to worry about a few pounds a year. I was always really healthy until last March - yes right at the beginning of the Covid scare in the US - when I was diagnosed with a very rare liver cancer. My symptoms were the same as being eight months pregnant with a big baby that wants out! Really felt weird at age 67.
I had 4 months of chemo before changing to Keytruda (an immunotherapy drug). I have felt amazingly good through this ordeal - better appetite than ever, more energy than usual, a few aches and pains mostly in the hips is really my only complaint. The last scan two weeks ago showed more than 50% reduction of the tumor since starting Keytruda. We are thrilled and hoping it continues. My doctor wants me to try an maintain my weight or at least not gain or lose a lot right now. I would like to drop another 15 pounds at some point so I will keep trying to lose it slowly. Seem to be maintaining right now so the doctors are happy.4 -
@1theresamcvean that is a pretty picture but looks cold! It must be very pretty in summer with all the trees filled with green leaves.2

Hi everyone!
I was heavy as a child. And I’ve always been muscular. I’ve been skinny (for me) a few times in my life. But I never seem to hold onto it. In 2018 I was 268 wearing a 22 in jeans and I didn’t recognize myself. I was 242 the day my daughter was born. I slowly dropped weight over the last 2 years. I was 225 in August when I decided to really try. I’m now at 203. My goal isn’t cemented in stone. I want to feel good but not look sickly. Which I do at at some point near 160. So for now my next goal is 180 -185 and I’ll see how I look and feel at that. I have not yet put a lot of effort into losing but I feel like I am at that point where I have to bump up my effort. I’m at the lowest weight I have been in 10 years. I’m soo proud of myself for that.
I have one daughter who is 12. I’m a single mom and a lot of my life after work is based on sports. Which we are on hiatus. She decided not to do basketball this year. I’m somewhat disappointed but at the same time 5 days a week practices are a bit much especially after just finishing cheer and volleyball at the same time. I’ve also done a lot of renovations to my house this year and I’m not done yet. I taking a break until after the holidays though. Except for stripping the kitchen cupboard doors slowly. So this is my slow time of the year. I have been slacking on getting my steps in but Monday I’m going to make sure I get 12000 a day. Keep my calories between 1000 and 1200 and I’m going to start strength training as well.

Also I just cleaned out my closet I have a lot of size 18regular jeans and 2x dressy shirts and sweaters that I’m giving away, if anyone needs them, PM me.4

The November Habit Tracker is ready to go! This is a simple tool made available to anyone on F2F who likes to see those check marks accumulate, or to revise their daily habits and commitment when they don't ----

Hi everyone! I'm Casey, and I've been with this wonderful group since December of 2018. I'm a teacher in North Carolina; I've got two boys (19 and 13) and a great husband of almost 22 years.
Me and Weight
I've been thinking about this recently, and I don't believe I've ever had a healthy body image. When I was a kid I was really skinny and my mom worried all the time that I wasn't putting on enough weight. I had to get allergy shots every week, and she'd make me get on the scale there and would get really upset if I hadn't gained weight. Then, once I was in college and had gained a little too much, she was all over me to lose it. So there's never been a time in my life when I was like "Yes. Here's a point where I'm healthy and I look good and feel good."
My Journey in this group
I started with this group in December of 2018 at my heaviest non pregnancy weight - I think I put down 165, though it was probably closer to 170. In 2019 I lost 20 Lbs, then stalled out mid year. After the holidays I had put on a little bit, so I started fresh in 2020 at around 150. Weirdly, when COVID hit and we shut down, I was able to set up a pretty good daily routine of working out along with teaching remotely. I got down to 135 and was looking pretty good!
Slowly, though, I got lazy with the workouts (Looking back I think I finally got depressed from the lockdown) As I felt more and more out of control I started back with my bad habits (lots of afternoon snacking, drinking more alcohol, less exercise and water).
My Goals
I don't think that I should be obsessed with a number, because I can be a healthy 140 and an unhealthy 130. BUT, I like being around 135, and ultimately, I want to feel healthy and strong and know I'm making good decisions for my body.
For November, I want to log all my food in MFP, drink 60 oz of water a day, and do Yoga every evening before bed. I already put those things in the habit tracker, so that's my start toward finishing the year healthier than I started it. Weight-wise I'd like to be a little under 135 before Thanksgiving, but I'll take what I can get.

I didn't work Friday night so I was able to sleep at night.😴 I think I slept around 7 hours, which is a lot for me.😊 but I also woke up around 4:30 am. Go figure, I can sleep longer and my body says, no.
Anyway, I decided to just get up, did a load of laundry, went to the store to find a birthday present for my great niece's birthday. Also, went to the grocery store to get items to make an Italian stew that my sister made for me a couple weeks ago. I needed minute tapioca but couldn't find it on the shelf, so I asked someone who works there. He said they got a shipment in a month ago but are having trouble getting more shipments in. He also said they can't keep it on the shelf. He suggested cornstarch as an alternative. What I find funny is that my brother in law said there's no toilet paper on the shelves at the store in his area but there was plenty of toilet paper in my store but no minute tapioca.🤣
I started the stew, had some lunch and of course my body decided it was tired so I took a 2 hour nap.
Later I went for dinner with a friend in my condo complex. She has been pretty busy with her kids and grandkids lately so it was nice to catch up.

Good morning WNM! Welcome to all the new ladies & gents (I think I saw a brother for Bob...am I right?)!
I'm Melanie and I'm from Kansas. Casey's story resonates a bit for me. I was always was skinny (no, not thin, skinny, all knees and elbows). At 18, maybe 120 at 5"6'. Maybe. My husband says when he met me (a couple years later), if I turned sideways I'd disappear and he always stayed close when there was wind, in case it tried to carry me off. May have had an eating disorder, but more about control and less about food or weight...Meeting my husband truly saved me.
Anyway, my mom was always obsessing about her weight, on a diet (in retrospect...at her heaviest, size 12 and more commonly ~10) and talking about how huge she was... She's much larger now (but we don't speak and I avoid seeing her, much healthier that way), so I'm not really sure how much. So it affected my thinking on weight...
Her obsessing made me a bit body conscious and when I did start gaining weight, I would temper my thinking...mom was always obsessed about weight...don't do that, a couple pounds isn't huge...I've got none of the reasonable reasons for gaining...no kiddos, just the husband, I just started eating more, snacking, until about 4 years ago August, when I found myself weighing in about 230 and my six sixteens were too small. I bought a couple pairs of 18 pants from the thrift store and joined MFP.
I lost 70 pounds in about a year and was pretty pleased. But I wanted another 20 off...and it didn't move. And things got a bit crazy with my husband's family...so I decided to maintain for a bit and then come back...but what came back was most of the weight. So...now I'm here and working on losing 70 pounds (the 50 I 'found' and the 20 I never lost.
My special snowflake challenges
I'm fairly significantly asthmatic (on meds all the time), have terrible allergies and connective tissue issues (not enough collegen, too stretchy, lots of joint slippage). And recently acquired some vertigo problems (or, maybe they just got worse...)...the point behind saying this is a lot of exercise people promote is bad, and sometimes dangerous, for me. So...mostly, I walk. I do a bit of yoga now and then (though it isn't recommended with the connective tissue thing...but feels good. Love up and down dog...) and have pilates vids I do sometimes. I should do these more and strength training (can be good for connective tissue issues) but I'm not there yet. A few times a year, I go all out at gardening...
My 2020 goals:
Onederland before the end of the year.
My 2021 Goal
I have a closet full of size 10's that I want to wear (I typed wrar, fixed it and now add it back...wrar!)
Back to Wedding Weight (165) before the end of the year. Maybe lower...
Daily goals:
Walk at least 30 mintes a day (in addition to the 20 mintes round trip from car to office) or do an exercise video.
Get back to doing core exercises every day.
80 oz of water or non-alcoholic liquid a day, mostly water. (I don't drink much in the way of alcohol generally, but just clarifying...long, ugly family history of substance abuse makes me very cautious)
Cut down on sugar and junk food (reducing sugar is generally helping, I turn into the munch monster when I eat candy...see: cookie monster's blond sister...)
See, eventually, I do intros...It just takes three or four months. Next intro...March?5 -

Wow! November! ...I do love reading the intros in the beginning of the month:)
About me
Hi! My name is Pam. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I have been married 30 years and have 5 children 28-20. I also have a golden doodle named Daisy. I am a nurse but retired at the moment. I am still trying to decide what I want to do career wise. I like to spend my summers at the Jersey shore, I just got back to Pa in mid Oct. I usually gain over 10 pounds when I am at the shore because I eat and drink like I am on vacation. This is the first year that I actually lost in June and July. The rest of the summer didn't go as well but I did have an overall loss for the summer so I am happy about that.
My weight story
I was never overweight although I always thought I was fat growing up. I gained A TON of weight with my pregnancies and ended up at 221 lbs. Unfortunately that ended up being my heaviest even when I wasn't pregnant . At the end June of 2012 I decided I either had to get serious and lose weight or accept that I am obese and live my life. I got a fitbit and joined MFP on July 1, 2012. Since then, I have gained and lost 30 or more pounds quite a few times. I have never gotten back to that starting weight but I have gotten close. Although I haven't been as successful with my weight loss as I would like, I have learned a lot. I eat so much healthier than I used to. I also am in good physical shape, I love to hike, walk, kayak and bike. Actually anything outdoors I usually enjoy. I do have a home gym which has a bike, treadmill, elliptical, weights and a few other things. I want to enjoy exercising and not have it be a chore. I am always looking for fun, new workouts. I had some hip and knee issues for the past year so that puts a little damper on things. I continue to do my PT exercises and will get my knee worked up at the orthopedic doctors soon. These physical issues are a reminder of why I need to get this extra weight off.
The present
As most of you know, the end of March and April was a struggle for me. My husband was on a ventilator in the ICU for 13 days. He was in the hospital a total of 19 days and then rehabbing at home. He is doing much better now and things are back to normal. This was a stressful and scary time and unfortunately I coped with eating. I was surrounded by food as this is how many people like to help and I caved. I gained TEN pounds in April. I did finally get back on track in May and had a successful June and July. Unfortunately since I have been gaining. I have been home for over 2 weeks now and need to be more consistent, especially with the holidays approaching.
My November goals
1. Plan and log my food everyday
2. 30 min cardio at least 5/7 days
3. 5,000 steps/day
4. Strength 2/7 days (T/Th)
5. PT and Stretching 5/7 days
6. At least 64 oz water daily
7. 7-8 hours sleep each night
8. Get in habit of working out early in the morning
9. IF at least 14 hours 5/7 days
I have realized a big part of my issues is overeating. I know it doesn't sound like a revelation to many but I have really been trying to tune into the mental part of what is going on with my eating. I always thought I had a big appetite, turns out, I really don't. I could probably cut my food consumption for lunch and dinner in 1/2. I don't know how to really put this into a goal since I think this is something I will be working on for a long time.I need to get it into my consciousness while I am eating, not after I scarfed my meal down. For this month I am going to remind myself to slow down and stop eating at 1/2 and 3/4 way through my meals. I also need to work on saying no to myself with snacking if I am not hungry. This is not something I am going to solve right away but I really think if I get a handle on this, my weight will go down. I also think it will help with the holiday season.5 -
I will check in tomorrow for the weekend-I have to run!

Hey y’all, I am Debbie from Wilson, North Carolina. I am 68 years old, married to Larry for almost 46 years. No children but we have 5 nieces and a nephew and grand nieces and nephews. I am a retired teacher and was doing a lot of substitute teaching and many interim positions. I worked about every day until Covid. I live in the country on a farm. I love to walk, I tolerate strength training (I did not say love yet). I guess it takes a while to build that relationship. I love to BAKE. Nope, baking is not a good hobby for someone that has to watch weight. I have been a yo-yo dieter all of my adult life. In April 2013 I was at an all-time high at 173 pounds and climbing. All of my clothes were tight and I was depressed. While sitting on the couch (probably eating a snack) I was watching the television show "The Doctors" and saw a segment on My Fitness Pal. I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a shot-nothing to lose, but maybe some fat. I joined MFP April 9, 2013 and have logged every day since. I also bought a fitbit zip in August of 2013. MFP and my little zip gave me just what I needed. I upped my game to a fitbit Versa last year at Christmas. One of those “me to me” gifts. I have met some amazing, inspiring, supportive people on MFP that have given me the encouragement and support that I needed. I knew what to do, how to do it, but I just didn't have my heart in it. I am now around 125-129 pounds and am walking 10-20 thousand steps a day and lifting light weights. For me, maintenance is harder than dieting, but I am doing ok. I thank all of my new friends here in our F2F group & the habit tracker for helping me stay focused. I have definitely had a few ups and downs. When you log every day you realize this and make adjustments. One thing that I have found helpful for long term success is to record my weight yearly on my profile page. The following weights were recorded on my birthday (May 6) each year of this journey. I try to use 127 as my "magic number" to watch out for weight gain. When I weigh 127, I jump back into diet mode for a few days and it seems to work for me.

@1theresamcvean not sure if you saw my post in the October thread, but I would like to stay in the weight-loss part of the challenge. I’m hoping to drop 5-7 pounds this month. Let me know. Thanks!😊1

Hi team and happy November! My name is Lisa and I am from Toronto, Canada. I live here with my husband of many years and our two boys, ages 14 and 10. I am a lawyer and run a part time practice from home so that I have more time for family and myself as well. I spent many years in the corporate world, and starting putting on weight in my mid-thirties with a busy career, and then pregnancies. I have lost a few times, but have yo-yo’d. I have been on this team just over a year and half. The support and advice here has been invaluable, and I have spent a lot of time researching, trying things out and reflecting on what I have done in the past. So, I have tried a different approach to weight loss this time with the goal of stopping fluctuations. I am doing IF, lower carb and also a very slow and steady approach, with some rest time in between losses as well. Also, I have discovered that stress management is more important than I ever realized, so I have been really focusing on when I feel stress and how I deal with it. At my heaviest I was 168.7 lbs. That was a lot for my height (just under 5’4”) and smaller frame. My loss goal is 30 lbs and I am 4 lbs away! I definitely had hiccups along the way, particularly with the pandemic. I am a runner and have done many races, including some half-marathons, but was sidelined about a year after an injury in 2019. But I have learned that no matter what, I am able to focus on myself and my health, and a bad day or week does not have to set me back permanently.
I did not too badly on my October goals. My weight loss goal was 3 lbs and I lost 2.3 lbs, which is just fine. I also did well continuing with IF/lower carb eating, doing a small stress busing activity each day, and enjoying various October celebrations and holidays. The one goal that I need to improve on was exercise. I did get in walking, but not weights consistently. We have had more than our fair share of stress this October with my kids being back at in person school and our city experiencing a second wave of the pandemic. So overall, I am happy with my October and feel better about the coming months too.
November goals:
Weight - Lose 4 lbs (I am going for those final 4!)
Exercise - walking, weights 2x per week, and try out at least one run
Eating - Continue IF and lower carb eating
Stress managementt - Remember to post here on the bad, stressful days! Also, keep doing “Hygge” things including reading, board games and relaxing without screens. I have a nice Hygge book that I just started, which is really inspiring. Also, listening to the Calm app daily is really nice, especially the music.
Early Christmas prep - For the past several years, we packed up and went to my in-laws out of town for Christmas as my FIL had Parkinson’s and could not travel. Sadly, he passed away last December. This year will be our first Christmas at home since our kids were little. So I am going to decorate a bit more and get organized early for all the festivities. I am not seeing this as something stressful, but as a way to honour our past traditions and create some new ones. I figure this will also help us get through this second wave of the pandemic, particularly the colder weather setting in.
Welcome all new team members and welcome back to everyone returning! Also, congratulations to our our October challenge winners!
Hope that everyone has a fantastic November!!

Toronto is on a modified lock down, and COVID numbers are just not decreasing. So government and public health advice for Halloween was really confusing this year. I decided to go with what my 10 year old wanted to do! So we gave out candy via a poster tube, and our 10 year old went out trick or treating to just a few neighbours. We then ordered take out and watched a movie together. Normally we have over 100 kids, and just 10 came by last night. But we made the best of it, and best of all, my younger son was very happy. Here are my kids (older son is not into costumes any more) and also my candy distribution set up on the front porch.

Hello everyone! Welcome to November!😊
My name is Kirsten, I’m 48 years old, bern married for 21 years, I have 2 sons, 16 & 20. I work full-time in the financial industry. I have been working from home since mid-March, since Covid, I am back to the office 2 days/week, which I’m very happy about.
I have been watching my weight since my early teen years, I have always been on the thicker side. I got extremely heavy when I was around 18 years old. I have been following WW on & off since I’m 14. I finally decided I was going to become Lifetime & hit WW Lifetime in my late 30’s, early 40’s, I don’t remember exactly. My weight has fluctuated for many years. I joined MFP in May 2012 & have been part of this group since it started, I think in July 2015. I gained quite a bit of weight about a year ago & into quarantine. As my clothes were getting tighter & I was feeling out of shape, I decided to get back on track. I got back to following WW, tracking on MFP, following 18:6 IF & I also starting using Isagenix products. I have dropped 30 pounds since April.
The last few weeks, I have slacked a little with my eating & gained a few pounds back. I decided I’m not going to go back to the yo-yo dieting & I’m getting back on track. I’m a few pounds from goal, I’m going to get back there by the end of the month! I’m determined!!!
I’m really going to try to stay active with everyone’s posts. Hope we can all end this awful year happier & healthier! 😊👍3 -
Hi everyone, my name is Akela (akayla). Im from Santa Barbara California and married to my husband for 3.5 years, been together for 9/10 years and have 3 kids. Twin boys 8 years old and a 4 year old girl. Im new here and have never done a challenge like this before, so I may ask alot of questions 😆.
My whole life I've always big on the bigger side and I have always thought I was FAT. All of high school I was really fit and weighed about 160 at 5'9" I played water polo and swam all 4 years. After high school I went away to college and gained alot of weight. Then came home and went down to 170 I was a big partier and feel that the things I did contributed to me losing weight. Not in a good way. At age 20/21 I met my husband and weighed 190ish. We dated for 6 months and found out I was pregnant with twin boys. I gained a whopping 70lbs being pregnant. Had them at 22 weighed 260. I lost a little right after I had them but then gained it right back. I was 260 when I got pregnant with my daughter 4 years later. Gained about 15lbs with her and never lost it. I now weigh more than I did with twins which makes me feel so bad. I have been over 300lbs for 3+ years. I also have bad luck because when I try to workout and be good I always end up getting hurt last year I tore my ligaments and tendons in my L ankle and this summer I hyperextended my L knee. Im over being huge, having no energy for myself or my kids and always getting hurt.
I started mfp in October of this year. I had always counted calories, but this time I am counting my macros which I like so much better! When I started mfp I was at 310. Within 1 week of counting my macros I lost 5 lbs!!!! I was so surprised and so happy! I work at my local hospital in Santa Barbara as a nursing assistant so my job is very physical and tiring as well as having 3 very active children. My end goal is to be 180 which is over 100lbs to lose.
My goals for this month:
• track all my meals everyday
• lose some more lbs and inches
• eat clean
• prep all my meals for the week, not just when I work
• start doing some sort of weight workouts
• in September I would go on hikes at least 3 days a week, I really want to start hiking again
• maybe add some yoga6 -

The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!

Happy November, Everyone!
Hi! I'm Ashley! I'm your second favorite co-captain of this team, after @1theresamcvean. I am here to provide comedic relief, answer science questions, stare at your pet pictures, and attempt to improve my health.
Summary of Me: I am 25, living in Ohio, USA. I am a chemical engineer (very much about the science when it comes to my health) working for an industrial combustion firm setting things on fire for money, diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in December 2019, and trying to stay both positive and realistic when it comes to getting healthier.
For anyone who wants to know more about me, feel free to check out... my blog. Or just ask questions. I answer those too.
Weigh Day: Thursday
MFP Starting Weight: 234 lbs (September 2014)
November Starting Weight: 166.2 lbs (October 29th)
Loss to Date: 67.8 lbs
My lowest weight in recent years was 156 lbs, measured in June 2019. However, at the end of June, I went to France for work for three months, which was the beginning of over a year of struggling to stay on the wagon. I am hoping to be back there by summer 2021 - here's hoping.
Goals for November- Enjoy my vacation without stressing over the calories too much (she writes as she's halfway through a bottle of 2012 French Cabernet)
- Add non-cardio workouts into my routine
- Keep my MS under control
- Eat no more than half of the cookies made in my kitchen
- Reduce sources of stress on a local scale

Welcome new members. I'm Tracy, from New Hampshire. 48, married forever, 2 boys 26 and 23. I also have 2 granddaughters a one year old and an 8 month old. I am an assistant director in childcare. I never had a problem with my weight until I had my children. I gained 80 pounds with the first one and he was born a month early so just imagine if I went full term. I lost almost all of it before I got pregnant again and then again gained another 80 pounds with the second. I lost some of it. But as I get older I gain weight. A few years ago i did manage to lose 40 pounds but gained 20 back. Now i just gain and lose the same 5 pounds. I wonder if its in the genes. My mom was a very thin woman until she had kids and with each one of us she had trouble losing the weight and then gained more as she got older and became quite large. I do not want to be that big as much as I love my mom and love having some of her traits that's not one thing I want to inherit.
I have been out of work for the last month because of my neck surgery and they are just letting me start to walk last week. The weather has been cold and rainy, I think tomorrow i may pull out my leslie sansone DVD if the weather is bad. Later in the week it's going to be in the 60's so I will get outside. I need to start getting some steps in, I don't want to see the scale going back up. It has moved down a little seeing I have been having a hard time eating. I am hoping to get back to zumba soon also.5
