Quick check in. Hi. So many posts to read later. My brain cells are all used up today. No walk today. No logging. Lots of pacing and a Cosmo. 🤞🏻😬🇺🇸🗳6

I ate every today. 😭😭😭
Tomorrow will be better! 🤞🏼🤞🏼5 -
I'm pretty mentally and emotionally dead today. I'm sure I'm not alone.
Everyone take extra good care of yourselves. Whatever happens, we'll get through it all together. ♡7 -
Steps today: 8349
It has been a long day. I work late tomorrow and then I am off work for a week and desperately looking forward to it. hoping the weather cooperates so I can still get steps in.
I'm feeling a migraine coming on so just took some meds and heading to bed early.5 -
@MandiSaysHey enjoy your week off! I'm sure it is well deserved 😊
I partially met one of my self-care goals yesterday, I talked with my boss and she's helping me catch up. It's not a long term solution but I'll take whatever help I can.
I did not meet my calorie or exercise goal for yesterday. I had good intentions of working out when I got home but ended up in front of the tv with a large piece of cake. Oops. It was my parent's anniversary yesterday so we stopped in to say hi and they had cake to share. My resiliency was low and I caved pretty easily. Fortunately the cake is gone now!
My sleep has been very poor lately and that is making everything else difficult. Today will be a difficult day as far as energy goes but my hope is to make it to the gym. If I can just get out of bed 😴2 -
Got new sneakers yesterday and forced myself out into the cold for a walk/run last night. As always it feels so good after I've done it. I am just going to enjoy my ignorance and first cup of coffee for another hour before I seek any news.
@Terytha I looked up that writing challenge - that is a challenge, and a good motivator. Am I right you said you were describing rocks? Which rocks? Boston's Museum of Science has a great, free, mini park to walk through in front of it with amazing rocks and signs of what type, age, how they formed, what country their from, etc..I love it.
@CanadianGiraffe Sympathy for your loss. Pets enrich our lives so much, I hope another enters your life soon.
@jugar I've located my snowshoes and, although I do not wish for loads of snow, I'll be ready to ramble and burn those calories when it comes. The animal tracks are one of the few things I like about a snowfall.

Good Morning ! It's Hump day !
I met all my goals yesterday, I still have that pain in my left flank, but I think it's related to my back it.. So I am just powering through although if it gets worse I will go to the dr...
Todays goals are Yoga and 10K steps...
I got my planner all worked out for 2 weeks, I honestly feel like I have some motivation going on right now...
Feel good !

@CanadianGiraffe so sorry to hear about the kitty. They had a great long life with you but it's always sad to let them go. My cats are my babies, I feel your pain.

No problem! and good luck on the challenge1 -
@eggfreak The rocks thing was mostly a joke. There's always a point in the writing process where I get stuck with my plot and fed up with my characters, and the running joke at that point is "rocks fall, everybody dies. Some of those rocks were blue with specks..." etc and just write 50k words about rocks.
The challenge is to write 50K words after all. Not necessarily 50K good, coherent or interesting words.
Anyways, I made it to yesterday's goal of 5,000 words which means I'm 10% done. I've been doing this since 2006, and in a funny way it prepared me for the effort of weight loss.
Behold, two very slow moving progress bars:
NaNoWriMo taught me years ago that hard work and patience produces results. At the start, when your progress bar has the tiniest sliver filled in, it feels like you'll never get anywhere. That this is impossible. An unbelievable undertaking.
But if you take it day by day, break it down with a tiny goal of a mere 1667 words, its not so bad. And that progress bar grows quickly and it's soooo satisfying when it happens.4 -
@Terytha such a great outlook!1

Hello and welcome to Wednesday! Apparently, I had a post I never hit post to from the other day because it was on my screen when I opened it. Oh well, old news. Haven't read through posts yet, so sorry for not commenting.
This week, well Tuesday just felt like a week, was difficult. I am not going to beat myself up. I really was off to a good start, but fell back on my old habit as eating for comfort. I definitely was NOT mindful, because I found myself still eating when I knew I had enough food inside. I also talked a lot about drinking myself through the day, but thank goodness, I am a moderate drinker anyway and ended up having a delicious Cosmo that I made and then later last night enjoyed a small glass of wine via Zoom with my best friend as we chatted our way through the returns. It was really comforting and special. One small glass of wine with her is way better than continued eating.
So, here we are to Thursday. We still don't know who our next President will be, but I am trying not to follow news anymore than I have to. I am quite tired of the anchors on every network hyping this stuff for ratings. So, I will wait and be patient for EVERY vote to be counted. I am happy that so many people voted and disappointed that our country has a lotof work to do.
I have not, yet, logged today. I went to my last PT session this morning, but will continue my strengthening exercises at home. I need to make time for my Pilates because it's just as important to me. Don't have a plan for dinner yet. I feel quite full right now and need to get some water. Have you taken a sip of water lately? Pick up the glass or bottle and have a big sip right now. Hope you are all having a lovely day. Talk to you later.

Not a big change, but I not only hit my goal of 30 active Ring Fit Adventure time but did it TWICE in a ROW (admittedly the first night was due to trying to beat a squat challenge that I kept failing). I'm super pleased and feeling good about it, my total fitness time hit over a hour for each day (160min total over both days). Halloween didn't hit too hard but I've noticed more sugar craving as of late which I'm trying to not give in to! There's some good walking/jogging weather coming in this week in NY so hoping to get out and enjoy it6 -

Around two years ago, one of our company's US office managers was found to have been embezzling funds. She'd walked away with half a million by the time she was caught.
Today, she pled guilty and was sentenced.
My boss has left to get celebratory cake.
I submit that in addition to birthdays, this is a valid time to eat cake.11 -
If you are interested in participating in our November step challenge, let me know by responding to this post. Please let me know what your daily step goal is and then be sure to post your steps. You can post your steps daily or all at once at the end of the week, which ends on Saturday for us. Please get all steps in by Sunday afternoon. Your steps are recorded at the bottom of our team's spreadsheet. When I have recorded your steps, I will mark your post "Insightful".
You may also participate by sharing your exercise or both steps and exercise. @jugar has wonderful magic to convert your workouts to steps. Be sure to let her know minutes, kind of exercise, and intensity.
I post weekly results highlighting team steps, top steppers and those meeting daily goals. Join us! It's fun and great accountability.

Oh, I am truly sorry Team.

Ok, line under it and here's to great next week *sigh* 🤭🤞🙂7 -
@jugar Oops! I did my weight wrong!!! My current weight 152.4 NOT 154.4
My allergies are bugging me today. I need to move my body but I don't want to!!! I only have 4,000 steps for the day. I woke up starving and ate a big ole breakfast burrito.🤦♀️ BUT..I planned the rest of my day and I am on track to have decent day. Its all about balance!6 -
CW 186.7
My first weigh in 11/1 for F2F was 187.3.
The highest weight I got to was 198. I think I could safely say that it snuck up to 200 but I never weighed myself enough to know for sure.
Today was a beautiful day. Sarah and I went up to Emily's (northern Vermont) to pick up the rest of Monica's stuff to bring home for "her"/"our" next chapter. It'll be nice to be able to be a "safe pod" all together. It'll be challenging and wonderful, just like the trek of weight loss.
We just got home 30-minutes ago so, I'll end this here.
Have a restful night, everyone.

All right - most of the weigh-ins are caught up for the week so far. Only two still needed:
@graceojo999 - I hope you get back!
@trishwus - please be sure to drop in and catch up, introduce yourself, etc.!
For Thursday - only one:
@conleywoods
And then the big days Friday and Saturday - so keep on track, everyone! You want to be feeling great at the end of week one!
I have been doing better this week. The November week 1 challenge is helpful, I find. The act of writing down what had not gone so well in October, what makes an effective day, and which thing is the most important to really go for this week has made it clear and easier to stick with. Just getting that one thing done makes it easy to stick with other things as well. For me right now it is getting back to some more intense exercise. During the summer it is easy with a big vegetable garden and plenty of outdoor time, but now my transition to more indoor workouts kind of went out the window. I have been doing Pilates, but I need more intense work to keep up strength. It felt so good yesterday to do a serious TRX session that I did Pilates right afterwards, and that was a great combo. Today I did Pilates and now will do cardio on the exercise bike while watching an episode of Occupied - back to the TRX tomorrow. I should probably watch the US news while biking - I'd go SO fast!!! But then I would not enjoy myself much...9 -

Another busy night at work, ended up at 16,041 for steps. Thankful for the two very high step days this week as now I am off work until next Thursday and I will likely not break 6k most days, let alone 15k lol. But I am looking forward to the little break from work.

I haven't been able to sleep much lately. For whatever reason I go to bed later (which also results in snacking) and when the kids get off to school I refuse to take a nap or get more rest. Even when I have no obligations here at the house. Is napping really less productive than Netflix or watching election results or reading or puttering around the house? Why cant I just take the nap...7

So yesterday was a good day... I did eat a piece of bacon that my son made, ( I love bacon, but tend to always eat too much of it) But it fit, and I recorded it, I earned 500 exercise calories, and only used 120 of them so that was within my 25% so it's a win....
I did yoga yesterday, I haven't done active yoga in quite a while, I did passive stuff but haven't done active on the regular since April, and man did my body know it... It was tough, and left me a little sore, but it was a good sore, a nice stretched out sore...
Today is a kind of easy day, I only have strength training today.. Although I will still go on a work walk or two, I might even take a long one depending on how the day goes, the weather is supposed to be another nice day !
@Steph1498 I am not a napper either, never have been, I will if I am sick but that's really the only time, it just feels weird to me, and my body is like nope.. Maybe you could try a meditation app, and then even if you don't nap, it can force you to lay down and relax enough to re-energize you...
@MandiSaysHey Enjoy your week off !
Have a great day !6
