Wow that's an active Nic around town! "bomb Mexican"? I guess I'll google! Sounds nice!

I went to the pho place yesterday and got the hot and sour seafood soup with no noodles.

So far today... an eclectic collection of the remaining fruit from the fruit bouquet (500g of cantaloupe, pineapple and honeydew ~200Cal), two medium slices of pizza (95g pepperoni and 88g banana pepper and green pepper ~ 440Cal) and the "occasional" ferrero rocher (4=50.5g) and an "accidental" couple of rondnoirs (2=20g)... so about 410 Cal which does seem a tad excessive as a proportion.

I brought home an extra "broth only" hot and sour soup, so for tonight I've "prepped" about 700g of hot and sour soup (est about 300Cal) and I've got 410g of "mixed veggies" in there ~290Cal. We shall see what else goes in it... or if something else happens!

Quite the feast there Nic! At home or DC? I can find tacos con lengua (tongue) very rarely here and mainly iffy quality.

Sounds like Mr. PAV is feeling well enough to go out to eat - and snarf down some chocolates?

For myself, it was a strange out-of-control day. Free floating anxiety? Ate everything but the plaster walls, nothing was enough, nothing filled the void. I don’t have too many days like this but wow the calories….

That doesn't sound good Yooly :-(

Nope. very quiet day so far. soup went out for yesterday. about 25 minutes away. Today have not even stepped out of the house yet! But yes on the chocolate. Have yet to feel bad enough NOT to eat chocolate so there's that!

    Bomb=amazing

    In DC.

I ciuld probably find it at home, we have alot of authentic-ish Mexican due to our Hispanic population, but just never have looked.

Did end up splitting a fancy (reasonable size though) biscoff cheesecake dessert with my husband. It was delish.

This morning is brunch with my sister, BIL and 2 nephews before the hockey game

    How is Yooly today?

I didn't eat my prepared soup yesterday! Got distracted by too many Ferrero and had to cut down on the calories by doing riced California mix in powdered broth (so less than 200 Cal vs over 600 for my hot and sour soup)

So hot and sour soup is on deck for today!

How are you doing PAV? Feeling any better? At least good enough to feast on chocolate?

I’m good. Dealing with some anxiety- several oncology appointments next week to set up my 5 yrs of therapy, dealing with radiation burns, getting an echocardiogram to see if radiation damaged my heart and other fun stuff. I’d just like to get back to being fat, dumb and happy!

Had a nice piece of poached salmon and a salad today for supper. I’m more in control at least for now.

Sounds like the wrong kind of excitement for a Yooly.

    I hope things resolve positively?

Not well over here. But improving. Voice a bit on the "gone" side currently. Feel like shooting people who make me talk 🤷‍♂️ letting them know about it too!🤯😛

Fitbit must be ignored! Eat your soup and rest. Have you tried chicken soup?

Once again verifying how much food and filling your basic plate can be carrots, onions, baby potatoes, apples!, roast pork. Single pan in the oven yesterday. Yellow mustard Day 2 going strong!

Tonight I am making some greek falafel bowls.

Rice, mixed greens, falafel, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and tzatziki.

Trying to keep a pretty regular rotation of meals week to week. 1 fish/seafood, 1 vegetarian/vegan, and 1 whatever protein. Fridays will always be leftovers/cleaning out the fridge or something random. Hopefully this will help with diet and with grocery budget.

    6850g
    2350 Cal (~29% protein)

    Z-oo-p-ies!

Frozen veggies, onion, garlic powder, sriracha, left over turkey, a couple of cans of campbell's chunky soup, two kinds of powdered zero sodium bouillon powder, one kind of full sodium bouillon powder, and a good bit of a 30% less salt "better than bouillon" jar (26g), and... de-fatted turkey pan drippings!!!! In various on the fly changed combinations!

    Smells edible!

    WUZ edible!

    Getting eaten!

    Burp: 1170g down! ~402 Cal

Ooooh - I don’t know PAV. That’s not exactly a beauty shot of whatever is in that pot!
At first this looked like one of those inter-intestinal photos the gastroenterologist takes during a colonoscopy.

My child or my cold Laurie????😎 And as to Yooly 😡 I will let her know that my child has not left the kitchen entrance in hopes of accessing the pot! And she helped lick the dishes clean!!!!🤣 I have to admit that I'm now tempted to go look for colonoscopy pictures???????? 🤯🤯🤯

Oh I miss you all so much when I'm off in the other world.

Your cold - but I think I like child better. Especially if she is licking the dishes clean :)

It doesn't look like that patient followed the pre-colonoscopy protocol :#

2 slices of 5 Seed keto bread, toasted. 1 wedge laughing cow garlic and herb spreadable cheese. 2 slices precooked bacon. 2 egg whites. 1/2oz fat-free cheddar, 1 small tomato, sliced

250 cal breakfast sammie with 33g of protein and 17g fiber.

I need to get back in the kitchen. Maybe the physical act of prepping and cooking may help calm hamsters. I also think warm, cooked meals might be more satiating?

  • nicsflyingcircus
    nicsflyingcircus Posts: 2,953 Member

    The rest of today's food:

Latte made with fairlife chocolate protein milk (30g protein)

    The breakfast sammie.

    Dill pickles

    Jumbo beef Steak (like jerky)

    Peach Greek yogurt

    String cheese

    Brownie batter protein bar

    Thermos of chai.

What are they calling it now, when you eat a random assortment of easy things instead of a meal? Girl dinner? Lol

("Girl dinner" is a TikTok trend of eating a snack plate for dinner instead of a traditional meal. It's typically made up of small portions of various snacks, side dishes, and foods from the fridge and pantry. )

Exactly what I’ve been doing - except the snack plate never ends!

Oh my - would be problematic for me too, Yooly :) Girl Dinner. I feel like I might not find the end to that non-meal.

Your sandwich looks/sounds great, Nic. Now I have to look up Keto bread….

Well Yooly, mine was because I hadn't pre-planned for work and just had to throw an assortment into my lunchbox, so at least my snacks were limited by what I packed lol
