I was feeling so pumped yesterday. I made good food choices and was proud of my results on my fitness test. And then my husband brought home brownies. I was still under calories but it was way too much sugar.

@thedestar I understand. This happens all the time. I log and stay under calories and my husband will do an after dinner run to the store and bring home something delicious.

I love sweets, so I totally get this. Once I start, I can't stop eating them. It's great you were able to stay under calories.

@thedestar great work! And bonus points for staying under with brownies!

I am very down today and so frustrated. I have gained back about 20 pounds since November and just can't seem to get back on the wagon. I start each day thinking this is the day I turn it around, then I end up overeating and then feel even worse. I guess I just need some tough love, a kick in the butt, a push, something! I thought maybe if I post here, it will help, because I don't want to let my team or myself down by gaining again this week.

I am feeling similar. I was doing really well over the summer and put back on a lot because I just lost some focus. What if you make a solid plan for tomorrow? You could pre-track, prep your meals and plan for one amazing snack or dessert that you know you will enjoy that fits in your calorie budget. Maybe that will get you on a track and help move forward.

Old school Turbo Jam for this mornings workout. Enjoyed switching it up and got a nice calorie burn quickly. Happy Wednesday friends!

Went to the gym last night. Most of December I was one of 4-5 people there.
I was hoping the pandemic would mean that the “new year new me” people wouldn’t be out this year. But they are. Cause of capacity limits I couldn’t even get near the weights section so I just hit the treadmill. I guess I’ll be paying for a monthly treadmill membership until all of these people give up on their new year resolutions.

@eriknj I always wanted to scream at them to get off my bike. LOL But...I was new at one point too, who knows? Maybe some of them will stick with it?

1/5 was in the WIN column. However, I fell into an old and not so healthy pattern. Sometimes I'll sit down at the computer and just work, thinking 'just one more thing...' and before I know it, I've skipped breakfast and lunch and it's 3 or 4pm. Then I am inclined to make poor food choices. This is something I really want to work on. Hints welcome!

    Hahaha.
I agree with what you said though. We all start somewhere. It’s just a fact that 80-90% people who think a new calendar year means they are going to change don’t stick to it. I think you need a better reason to want to lose weight than “eating too many Christmas cookies” in December.
