Happy 2021 everyone!
Thanks for sharing my journey to reach 55kg/121llbs in year 2021.
Gone for walks 3/7days this week. Cheated as I ate a slice of Chritsmas cake as a mid-hike snack. Better that, than an evening sitting in a chair eating a slice.
@TeresaW1020 @trooworld (thanks for appreciating my origami cubes) @krea4
All chocolate eaten, so I'm going to stick to a sugar free January and not buy any chocolate this month. Fingers crossed I can resist buying reduced price chocolate.
GOALS:
1. Drink herbal tea at 5pm than tea
2. Walk on Wed, Thu & Fri (after rain has passed)
3. January No-Sugar Challenge

@cdnlaxmom I love your goals for January, especially the "Take time for myself"...that is so important! Do you, by chance, do all of that custom clothing with a Cricut machine? I ask because I just got a Cricut Maker and I am in love with it! I hear you about looking like an episode of hoarders: that's how the room we worked on looked! LOL I hope you were able to make progress on your room. It feels really good to do that! And exhausting.
@TeresaW1020 Yes, it feels really good! As for the walk: sort of...I went grocery shopping at 3 different stores, does that count? LOL My goal is to walk 3x a week for at least 20 minutes. I have a plan to go today. That stinks that your new computer is already giving you trouble. I hope it is an easy fix.
@adhmrh It looks like you are off to a great start! I'm sorry that you were stressed about checking in daily, but don't stress, check in when you can!
Hello all. I'm off to a good start: I've pretracked my meals for today and did some chair yoga (I've been waking up with my back really stiff lately). I hope to go for a walk in a few hours once the sun warms things up a bit.

@krea4 Congrats on your loss this week!
@trooworld My sister uses a Cricut Maker! I have a Silhouette Curio which I personally think is better, but we both have fun making our crafts!
@adhmrh I know what you mean about feeling stressed keeping up with the posts here and commenting on everything. The truth is, that nobody here minds if you just check in every few days or just once a week. Our anxieties about it are our own! There's no point stressing yourself about it, rest assured we are all ok with you checking in when you have the time, however often that may be!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Great loss this week!
@davidji82 and @RYcare - Well done on your losses in December! You are an inspiration to us all

Well, today is Monday and it's back to work for me for a full week this week. I don't want to be back at work, but at the same time I think getting back into routine will be a good thing for me.
My son is sick with a cold at the moment, it's a pretty bad one (don't worry, it's not covid - there are no cases within several hundred kilometres of us, and the symptoms don't match). I feel bad not being home with him, but hubby is there. I just want to hold him and hug away all the pain!
Not much else to report, I haven't been making good food choices or doing any exercise apart from a couple of days ago. Need to up the ante!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Goals for January:
Sleep: 18.8/200 hours (average 6.3 hours)
Total Calorie Deficit to Date: -22
Exercise: 65/600 minutes (average 22 minutes)
Meditation: 1/4 sessions
Social Media: 1.75/31 hours (average 0.58 hours)
@trooworld, Yes, going to three different stores counts as getting in your walk for the day. Yeah, my computer was more of an issue with its owner. See below.
@TwistedSassette Ohhh to bad for your little guy and his cold. I know as his mom you want to be there with him. I hope you and your husband don’t catch what he has. Why do you think you aren’t making good food choices or doing your exercises? Is it your son and him being sick? Is it stress about going back to work? I know it can be hard to get our head back in the game, but you can do it!!
Hi Team! Well, not much good came out of Fat2Fit weight loss this past month and certainly not with the last week of December. However we should all be very proud of our very own @davidji82, @RYcare, and @adhmrh for being our top three losers. And wayyyy to go @RYcare for losing five weeks in a row in December! Can you please share what went so well for you this past month?
My day has been pretty good! I did a workout this morning, which was good, and then went to church. I am a little bummed that the scale hasn’t budged but I’m not letting it drag me down and will just keep doing what I know will work for me. I fasted extra long today and am drinking a ton of water. I'm doing this week's challenge on the home page and I hope you all will check it out too. Soooo the computer issue that I complained about yesterday seems to have been my problem all along. My keyboard and mouse had been acting up, so hubby went and bought me new one. I stupidly took out my USB wi-fi (which I had forgotten that this computer had) thinking it was the old keyboard and mouse USB. Then last night, the moment I got into bed, I remembered the wi-fi USB and flew out of bed and went to where I had put the old keyboard and mouse and sure enough, there was my issue laying right there. I sure am glad I remembered before I dragged this computer to the guy who built it and started throwing a hissy fit.
January Goals: 1/3
No Sugar Challenge: I was sugar-free today
Fast for 19+ hours: I fasted 23 hrs. and 40 min.
Ate on plan I only ate one meal today. Chicken stir fry
Workout 30+ minutes: I did half of #MBF but the moves were hard on my back so I walked 20 min. on the treadmill.
Drink 96+ oz. of water: I have already had close to a gallon
2021 Focus Word: TRANSFORMATION
Look at this really cool picture that I got from one of my FB groups.
@TwistedSassette I hadn't heard of the Silhouette before I bought my Maker. Had I known, I would have checked it out too! I'm glad you are a crafter too and have fun. I'm in love! I am the same way about routine: I do much better when I have a set routine. I hope your little guy feels better soon.
@TeresaW1020 I'm sure the scale will move soon, just keep doing what you are doing and be consistent. I'm glad you figured out the computer problem lol! That's funny.
Happy Monday everyone! This year I'm focusing on me for a change. I haven't really set goals as far as weight goes...because I have to much to lose and that would be overwhelming. 2020 was a crap year for me...as I know it was for many people. Despite having the desire to lose weight...I just couldn't. I ended up being way up last year. My first goal was to get under 310 by my birthday, which I hit quickly thanks to logging my food and busting my butt to workout every day. On New Year's Eve I started a streak of at least a mile a day. Anyways, my new goal is now to get under 300 by my birthday. That's a more aggressive goal but it'll give me the drive to push myself this week. Being under 305 by then shouldn't be a problem since I'm at 305.4 right now. I just need to get healthy. I'm going to turn 50 in a matter of days and I plan on doing it while setting new standards for myself for my health!!!7
I'm Marki, and I live in Tulsa, OK. I have three (mostly) grown children--my youngest is a senior in high school this year. I've been overweight my whole life, and I've tried most everything out there. I finally hit on the right mix last July when I started swimming extensively and upping my produce intake. Nothing is off limits in my eating plan, except Coke, which I have no control over.
Now for my update: I'm feeling energized by the start of the new year. I'm tracking again after slacking for most of December, and I grabbed the last swimming appointment that the gym had for today. I would have gone yesterday, but all the appointments had been taken already. I have a feeling I'm going to have to make my appointments as soon as they are available because so many people jump into a new fitness routine at the beginning of the year.
My word for the year is perseverance! I know that losing all the weight I need to is going to take time, and I just need to keep carrying on if I want to get there.
Welcome to all the new members!5 -
