    Weekly Check-In

    Day - Tuesday
    Name - bethanie0825
    PW - 228.4
    CW - 226.6

    Woot woot!! Been moving and shaking as much as I can. I'm once again, trying to tackle RunTheYear 2021 solo. It's approx 5.5 miles a day and so far, so good!!

    I'm finally finding balance between my FT and PT jobs. The extra income has been wonderful and I haven't swiped a credit card in over a month and been sending them extra money in my payments. My PT job is in a grocery store so it's movement most of the time.

    I've been spending a lot less time on Facebook and more on Instagram and Tiktok. I've also quit watching the news. It's delightful. I highly recommend it lol.

    @bethanie0825 wow, that's a terrific weigh in an very impressive on the RunTheYear!!! YAY YOU!! I have all but given up FB, I'll peek in about once a week. The news? I gave that up years ago because it didn't help my mental health at all, I found it just increased my anxiety and worry. Good grief - that was a million years ago before the world was (seemingly) falling apart. My hubby tells me things that are big and the rest - I just don't need in my life. I'm not sure that's the most healthy, either, but it feels better.

    If you like reading weight loss stories, this was a great one for the weight/debt combined success story - I really enjoyed this as an Audible:

    @TeresaW1020 That's very interesting, what you heard. I've gotten rid of the chocolates and have stayed away from sweets so hopefully, this pain just fades away. I have some Soma underwear that I love. What is sister sizing? I've never heard of it.

    @Cornanda Ah, yeah, that isn't going to work for me then lol. I did get better sleep last night, thanks!

    @TwistedSassette Yes and it was good last night, too! :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the yoga. I've been doing an 11 minute desk yoga flow a few days here and there and it feels great. This is the one I'm doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAUf7aajBWE&list=PL-5_b8Up2FICvHAyLs3ocwrhmTSL70nTe&index=4 Sounds like you are doing awesome!

    @AustinRuadhain Thanks! I really think it was the sugar.

    Hi all. My back/spine still hurts but it lessens up later in the day, so that's good. Today it is supposed to be in the 80s (F) I'm really looking forward to it, I'm going to meditate outside for a bit on a break from work.

    My phrase for the year: CHANGE HAPPENS.

    Love seeing all the losses. @TeresaW1020 I see that 8 in your number! Hooray!

    I tried cutting way back on news and social media a couple months ago and fell back in. As you others have said, it's not good for more mood. You are maybe inspiring me to try again.

    I just caught up with all the posts from this week and realized I forgot to post my weigh in. I've been having a bad time lately of keeping myself in check and focused on healthy, intentional choices. My son deployed again and there are health issues going on with my daughters, mother and me. No excuses, tho. I've been depressed and not caring. I need to get myself into the habit of reading this discussion log daily...first thing in the morning...to get on the right path. You all are so inspiring and I appreciate everyone.

    @raleighgril09 Thanks so much!! I’m a happy girl and I know that I owe so much to this group and being kept motivated every single day. :)

    @trooworld that desk yoga video is great! I’ve booked marked it for future use. :)

    @Cornanda Yeah, that 8 is a big deal for me. And now on to getting the 7 to replace it. :grin: Good job on your loss and you will see 10 lbs or more by next week for sure!! B)

    @vegan4lyfe2012 I’m sorry that life is hard right now and that you have health issues to deal with and worry with your son. But you know that you have to take care of your health. It will only benefit you if you start putting yourself first. Yes, check-in here first thing. We are here for you! <3

    Hi Team! Well, I was SUPER happy to get on the scale this morning and see that I am down 75 lbs.!! Four years ago, I made a vow to myself that I was going to get my weight off. I had been obese for over 30 years. I knew there would be struggles along the way and there have been. I’ve gone through Weight Watchers, calorie counting, back to WW, then finding intermittent fasting, and finally accepting and fully understanding that I’m a sugar addict. I still have another 30 lbs. or so that I want to get off and for the first time in my life, I’m not too worried about the struggle. I’ve learned a lot about myself and I’m no longer on a diet. I’m on a health journey to be the best I can be for the rest of my life. And it feels really good! :)

    January Goals: 1/15
    No Sugar Challenge: 15 Days sugar-free!
    Fast for 19+ hours: I fasted 19 hrs. 42 min.
    Ate on plan: I stayed Keto today and had two meals. I was only supposed to eat one but I was super hungry today. I know that I didn’t eat enough yesterday which was my up day. Lesson learned!
    Workout 30+ minutes: I did Barre Blend lean legs
    Drink 96+ oz. of water: I got all my water in for the day
    2021 Focus Word: TRANSFORMATION

    Sending you a hug, as I think that number isn't what you wanted. Is there anything you are tweaking this week, to help nudge things in the direction you want to go? 👐🤔

    @vegan4lyfe2012
    Sending you a hug. You have a lot going on. I love your deciding to check in here daily, as a way to remind yourself about what you want to do. We know you are in this for the long haul and won't let a rough p[atch stop you from getting to the level of fitness you are aiming for.

    @Cornanda
    Great job nudging that number down! And a big WOW to being almost to the 10 lb mark! 🥳🥳🥳

    @trooworld
    Sugar causes all kinds of problems for some of us -- -me, too.
    And, oooh! I love Yoga with Adriene! :heart: Thank you for the reminder!

    @raleighgirl09
    Oooh, Maria! Congrats on that green streak! You are getting that momentum going and it is so SO inspiring!

    @padjoetho
    Woohoo! Excellent weigh-in! Keep up the great work this weekend!

    @davors19
    Great job holding steady this week!

    @davidji82
    BOOM! What a great weigh-in!

    @TwistedSassette

    @davidji82 Your consistent weight loss is amazing!

    @padjoetho great weigh in!

    @TeresaW1020 A huge congratulations to you! 🥳 some massive milestones!

    @raleighgirl09 I’m lucky to hit 5,000 steps most days! Suffering a bit with plantar fasciitis lately too which doesn’t help the step count!

    @trooworld I LOVE Yoga with Adriene! My in-person instructor is quite similar in her flows and the vibe of the class so I like to do Adriene’s videos between classes (my instructor is only in town every couple of weeks, and before a couple of months ago hadn’t actually held a class for a good 3-4 years!)

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Sending you big hugs, sounds like a really difficult time. Know that we are here for you!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Went to yoga class this morning which was a great start to the day! Aside from that I’ve just been busy with housework. Went wayyyy over on calories yesterday but still tracked everything. That’s about all I have to report!
    @Cornanda Cutting back on that stuff is a good idea. Good luck and congrats on the loss! You are so close to 10!!!
    @TeresaW1020 Yeah, I love that video...I feel so much better after I do it. Congrats again on being down 75 POUNDS! You are an incredible inspiration! You are really living up to your focus word for 2021!
    @adhmrh What a fantastic loss! Well done.
    @AustinRuadhain Yeah I'm feeling better since I cut the sugar out, it's slowly making its way out of my system. Yoga with Adriene is the best! I can't believe she puts out so much free content as good as she is at teaching.
    @TwistedSassette I do, too. That's great that your in-person instructor is similar.
    Hello all. I'm so happy that I had a loss this week. Maybe I can turn things around after all. I've been less hungry during the day these past few days that I've had good sleep. I really think sleep is key for me. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous here: 88F high. I did meditate outside for 20 minutes and it felt really good, very peaceful. I hope to do it again today.
    Saturday check in
    Hideeho gang - had a Friday night moment with some random chocolate and nuts with berries. I know, that's not really random, it became deliberate but I am back to my streak today...day one of new streak! => I have had a weekend/Friday night mentality for most of my adult life with the feeling like some indulgence is in order after a long week. Or even a short week - I just like it. So I logged a guess of 500 calories for it this morning and moving on!
    I'll get my two walks today - I did yesterday but the second one was in the fast-approaching dark, raining and 47 degrees. Not the most pleasant of walks but I was glad I stuck to my guns because water was off, I was about to eat sugar (unknown at that time) and go over my calories. I'm also shopping today for the week's groceries, I'll make the posole again and use chicken thighs instead of pork to lower the calories. Not sure what else I'll do but that was requested as a repeat! =>
    New job is going well, I'm enjoying them and the tasks before me. That's a win... =>
    @adhmrh - 5 lbs for Jan already, that's terrific and 71 to date is amazing @Cornanda - we're all lined up at the 10 digit cheering you on, fist pumps in the air YOU CAN DO IT! @mlhopp93 - yes, some focus and intentional action can be just the ticket!! => @trooworld - fantastic I am so happy for you!! - - - great weigh in you guys, just awesome! =>
    @firefly743 and @RYcare way to go on a great weigh in and loss this week WOOT!!
    @trooworld, so glad you are getting the rest needed, I hope this continues for you! I used to walk around chronically sleep deprived but finally made it. So jealous of the 80 degrees!
    @TeresaW1020 your journey has been super amazing - and you have defined some solids whys to keep you motivated! So exciting to see and be a part of your walk..... <3
    @AustinRuadhain YAY for all your greens, too!! Mine had a huge drop off yesterday but today is better - and I hope you can work the morning routine but I'm impressed that you keep working it in at some point, even if not at your perfect point!
    @Cornanda trust me - someone will tell you the big bad *kitten* and the rest of it, the simple doo-doo isn't worth the anxiety! Hm, maybe I'm projecting my own philosophy.......??? B)
    @vegan4lyfe2012 @itsmegina @Cstockton18 - this may not be the result you wanted but it inspired some good determination to turn the truck around!! We're with you all!!
    @TwistedSassette yay on yoga, that's another way to accomplish the peacefulness...... => Hope all of you are feeling back to your old selves and having a great weekend! At least tracking keeps us aware, right?
    @AustinRuadhain Thanks! As you know losing weight is such a battle on so many levels and I really feel the key to the battle is learning why we do what we do and figuring out how to correct the wrong behavior. I’m still totally a work in progress and probably always will be. But I’m thankful to have someone like you to watch and emulate. <3
    @Cstockton18 I hope that the MRI will give the doctors the results they need to help you. And YES you will totally 1000% smash your goals this week. Purpose in your heart to make it happen and you will. :)
    @mlhopp93 Wow, what is a great loss you had this week! Nothing like a little focus and some hard work to make it happen. Keep it up!! B)
    @trooworld Yayyy you had a good week! And thanks so much! Maybe I did choose the right word after all. ;) There is such a correlation between sleep and hunger so I’m glad that you have improved and have gotten some good sleep. Fingers crossed it will stay that way for you.
    @RYcare and @Firefly743 Good losses this week! Keep up the good work! B)
    @raleighgirl09 Thanks so much! I’m really going to give this year my all in every way that I can. I think a lot of people have that weekend/Friday night mentality. I’m still in mourning that I had to give up my wine Fridays. I hope to maybe start back up one Friday a month after this month’s challenge. Moderation is the key…or so they say, right? ;)
    Hi Team, I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Not much going on here. I did do my workout this morning and that felt good. I’m teaching children’s church in the morning and as usual, I waited until the last moment to put something together. But it will be fun because kids are very forgiving and don’t seem to mind if I stand there holding my cheat sheets. I did tape some notes in my Bible so I would look like I have it all together. :D After putting together my lesson, I started a new 2000-piece puzzle and watched Day 6 of the sugar summit. Just tomorrow to go!
    January Goals: 1/16
    No Sugar Challenge: 16 Days sugar-free!
    Fast for 19+ hours: I fasted 19 hrs. 12 min.
    Ate on plan: I stayed Keto today and made the best Denver frittata and Keto English muffin for dinner.
    Workout 30+ minutes: I did a #MBFA workout and 15 minute HIIT on the treadmill
    Drink 96+ oz. of water: I got all my water in for the day
    @mlhopp93 I agree it is really amazing how little focus on food and excellent changes the scale. I personally experience it every week since the start of my weight loss journey. Keep going you are amazing too.
    @TwistedSassette. Thanks! What a great way to start your day with Yoga. I went to the gym and started my day on the elliptical...
    @bethanie0825. Great weight loss! Go for RunTheYear - you can do it.
    @trooworld. I will try desk yoga for sure. Thanks for a new idea
    @adhmrh. WOW for your weight loss this week. I miss those weeks when I was going down by 2s. I should work harder to get back to it
    @Firedly743. You are on fire and flying with the weight loss this week. WAY to go wohooo
    Glade to be back to my “normal” life, my parents drs appointments all went well beginning of the week, and thank God they are in a stable condition.
    It is Tom time and not feeling so great but I am happy at least the number on the scale is not going up. I was walking 2 miles with my mom every day but haven’t put real good effort to sweat enough to lose weight, so back to the gym as of this morning.
    Have a great rest of the weekend everyone.
    Hey gang! Sorry for falling behind, I'm struggling with pain levels right now. I've been working out harder then sprayed weeds and it took forever so I overdid it. My Dad's teasing me that I can sell flats of that weed, I'm ready to dig up the yard! I'm at the point where I normally go to the ER but am trying to fight it as I don't want to go on steroids. The eye appointment was annoying, if I get contacts to see far away I'll need glasses to read. I got my first hair cut in a year and it's not what I asked for, I'm mad at myself for giving her a tip!
