Today is a rest day. I got my second shot 💉 yesterday so am taking it easy. So far just a sore arm (knock on wood) but I don't want to put any stress on my body and distract it from the important work at hand. 😊😷1 -
So I threw my back out doing yard work this weekend. Classic.
Spent the past 2 months or so dealing with my mental hurdles causing lack of motivation. Then I finally get excited about working out and eating better and this happens.
Determined to eat right this week but obviously i’ll be out of the daily challenge again until I feel better2 -

@erikNJ The universe seems to do this a lot....as soon as we get on a roll, it puts up a roadblock to test our resolve and see how serious we truly are about meeting our goals. As one who has let the universe win my battle (but not the war!), I am happy to hear that you intend on eating right while you rehab your back. Weight loss might be slower or temporarily stalled, but you at least won't be gaining. Before you know it, you will be back in the gym and slaying your workouts! Erik - 1, Universe - zero!!3 -

Thank you all. Your kind words mean a lot. My sister in law meets with the funeral home today to set a date for a memorial. I am taking my dad to Boston at the end of May for a vacation away and cross Fenway Park off his bucket list. I am so ready for the small break from lifeI hope everyone has a great day.
