Had a proper meal out in a restaurant for the first time in like a year last night, it felt surreal to be back in such places, it reminded me of how things were before this whole pandemic situation. There were measures in place, however, to get the "normality" feeling back for a few hours felt good.
My meal was definitely not calorie friendly, feeling fragile this morning and oh boy the scales took a hike up a mountain. I want to start next month off in the green as I've got at least a 4 month streak going, however I'm not sure if it's possible after last night's food to be honest. It's not the end of the world as I can pick up within the next week or two, but would be satisfying to stay in the green. Shall see how my weight fluctates over the rest of week.4 -

Hi guys! new here I'm Jenni, 38 married mother of 2. I work FT right now, while we're looking for a house (super crazy market, amiright?!) My hubby is a stay at home dad/writer, so we make it work 😅 looking to lose weight and work on my stamina because we're looking for some land to farm on .. and I've not seen (m)any "fat" farmers on youtube, lol. I come from a line of farming and self sustainability and here lately that lifestyle is more attractive to me than city dwelling does anymore. I am inspired by Jessica from Roots and Refuge Farm and my grandma. I eschew my slovenly life from henceforth, so for me, today is a new day for a chance to become a new person Hubby isn't on here, probably never will be as he's not a people person per say, but overall I've got some offline encouragement Well, happy weight loss guys! May we all be losers in the end 😂7

Can you put yourself on a cancellation list? Sometimes the wait for appointments can be long in Canada but I always ask to go on the cancellation list and have got an earlier appointment a few times.
Thanks for the suggestion. I am on a cancellation / waiting list and have gotten notified twice but by the time I saw the email the earlier spots had been taken. I'll continue to keep a look out but I'm pretty busy with work (meetings, presentations, deadlines) so it's hard to regularly monitor my personal email. It seems like trying to get tickets to "the hot concert of the summer" (remember those pre-COVID days?) - the open spots just seem to go quickly. Anyway, I'm not in any pain and will just take it easy to be careful until I know for sure what the issue is. At this point I just don't want it to interfere with our "final 50" trip in mid-July. We've taken all 4 kids to 49 of the US states and North Dakota is last on the list so I want to be in good shape for some hiking, etc.5 -

My steps lately are mostly from small walks, I just don’t sit down all day but no clue what I do. I haven’t taken many longer walks with my toe since it starts to go up my foot. I think I will give it a try again tomorrow though. I may try to make appt at the podiatrist.
Yesterday I had lunch with my mom and aunt and had a big Greek salad with chicken and a protein shake after my son’s super long baseball game. They were tied and decided to go an extra inning.5 -
@Megan_smartiepants1970 so happy you are finally pain free even though you will be kicking me far down on the steps leaderboard in no time 😀3

@Poobah1972
Realizing that there will be water weight gain and accepting it is huge.
@lmf1012
It’s raining here this morning but not that bad so I am trying to talk myself into going for my walk. It’s so humid too! That’s exciting about your new gym.
@rlaskey2
At least you did a walk! Good luck for looking for ways to entertaining the kids.
@littleflutterby
Awesome loss! I saw your progress pictures on the newsfeed and they are incredible. Maybe you can post them in here at the beginning of the June challenge to help motivate us.
@lccfa5317
A health coach sounds exciting. There are several people on the team using one and it sounds very helpful.

@888Angie888
Angie, I know you can do this. You started the year with laser focus and you can get there again. What’s one thing you could change this weekend to make a difference? Make that change and the following weekend make another and build on the small changes.
@Megan_smartiepants1970
Great news!
@Tazaria87
You are back with a bang on exercise and steps! The way you recover after a misstep is amazing. You have crazy determination.
@azkunk
Awesome check in. I think you deserve an exercise check also. I chuckled at your meme. I just recently watched HIMYM on Netflix.
@TheresaM787
Look at those steps! Is it a personal record? Sometimes we just have to put this aside. I know exercise is important to you so you made it fit. This week is almost over. You can do it.

@lmf1012
Way to get in those steps👏🏻👏🏻
@rlaskey2
You must do a lot of small walks 😆 that's a terrific step count! Sounds like a lovely lunch with your mom and aunt, and a Greek chicken salad.
@runzfromzombies
Good luck with the house/farm hunting. I'm sure you'll find something fantastic. You're going to like it here, lots of support and encouragement.
@roz0810
You still got in a great deal of steps, even with the staying inside!
@mszoueb
I agree, it does feel surreal going out to eat. I love your positive mindset about the scale. Sometimes we miss our calorie targets, it happens, we move on. You got this!
@rwood566
Phenomenal walk day Roger!! Wouldn't it be nice if the calories don't count if we don't enjoy our food? You still had a low calorie day. Why do you think you were lightheaded? I agree, why is it so hard for people to wear their masks correctly? I'm sorry you didn't have a good day yesterday. I hope today goes better!
@Beverly2Hansen
Round of applause for our newest member, all three ✅s - steps, under calorie budget and met water goal 👏🏻👏🏻
@Megan_smartiepants1970
I'm sooooo glad to hear you say that you will continue to listen to your body, and work your way back up slowly; especially with your super L-O-N-G walks 😄

@Beverly2Hansen
Great job meeting your goals!
@rwood566
That’s a great walk. Are they investigating the diagnosis you got a few weeks ago any further? Please be careful with your dizziness. You don’t want to fall. People not wearing Theophrastus mask properly drives me batty. I passed a lady walking yesterday who only had it over her mouth. I wanted to stop her and demonstrate how to correctly wear a mask.
@mszoueb
I love reading my teammates stories about eating out or having friends over. It gives me hope. Your the second person today that knows what to expect with the scale and are both prepared and ok. Great thinking!
@runzfromzombies
Welcome to the team! Farming is both hard but sounds exciting. Good luck with both your house hunting and your weight loss journey. It’s great you have support at home.
@rlaskey2
Nice loss! Can you get your doctor to investigate further? Be careful when walking with the numbness as I know with myself it affects my balance so I have be aware.4 -
Tuesday’s check in
✅Steps 7,133
✅Sleep
✅Walk
❌Physio 1/2
After my walk yesterday, my pain level was higher than it has been in along time and still is today. I truly don’t know how I reached over 7,000 steps as I wasn’t moving much after my walk. I am skipping my walk today and probably won’t reach my step goal. I am really disappointed but I am trying to go easy on myself. I won’t be doing physio as I can’t stand long enough to do the band exercises. The last time I missed my step goal was April 22nd so I am proud of that streak. I don’t think my Fitbit correctly read my sleep last night but I gave myself a check anyway.
Question for Fitbit users:
How much do you trust the sleep function? It says I went to sleep at 10:37 but I was watching tv at that point. I didn’t go to bed until after midnight.
Happy Hump Day!6 -

@lindamtuck2018
Socially distanced HIGH FIVE! You hit over 7,000 steps 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'm so sorry to hear about all of the pain that you're in. I wish there was something you can take/do to relieve it. I know you're disappointed, it's not that you are choosing to not go for a walk, you are listening to your body and allowing it time to heal- there's a big difference. Please be proud of the fact that you are taking care of yourself, that's what the whole goal of the steps is- to get healthier. 🤗0 -

My son spent the night at grandma's house and my husband had a friend over so I took my daughter to the lake and we went for a walk in the evening. She actually fell asleep right at the beginning, guess she was tired haha. She was kind of upset when we got home cuz she thought we didn't go for our walk lol. It was kind of funny.5 -

Oh, my goodness!! I’m not sure whether I’m coming or going... I might have to extend my stay at our condo. I have so far arranged a new furnace with air conditioning to be put in. The inside adobe to be repaired and painted. The patio to be power washed. The outside walls surrounding the patio to be repaired and painted... That is just meeting with contractors today, lol. Not to mention hanging mirrors, a flat-screen tv, getting a decent couch and arm chair... I’m also running to Home Depot to get a new toilet to be installed, a new bathroom faucet, and an instant hot water dispenser for the kitchen. We have an instant hot water dispenser at home, and I love it. Did I mention this is all being accomplished by Friday... ROFL. But trust me, I’ll get it done. Even if I’m in the “land of manana.” NM is really called the “Land of Enchantment.” Anyway, if you have ever spent a lot of time here, you’ll know what I mean.
Eating is going pretty well. I’ve decided to eschew my usual huevos rancheros. When we were here pre Covid, I would have them almost daily... I just don’t feel like eating that heavy. Anyway, I’ll check back in when I can. Internet is working well today. Be well everyone!!

Check in daily: ✅
Water (90oz): ✅
Macros (P>100, C<115, F<40):❌❌✅
Exercise= row 20 min 4x /wk: ✅❔❔❔
Protein was a little low and carbs were a little high but fat and overall calories were under budget so I’ll call that a win. I did row for 20 minutes and even got in 8995 steps. If only I looked at my watch before bed, I could have been over 9K 🤦🏻♀️
I feel like I am finally getting back into control and making good choices. The scale is slowing coming back down but it has a ways to go before I am back to where I was.4 -
This is more of a general question. I was trying to update in our habit tracker, while I have internet. Anyway I was unable to check the boxes on my iPad. Anyone have any ideas? Same thing on my phone.0

Can't wait to get my treadmill next week. Its been raining a lot here!
@Megan_smartiepants19703 -
Sorry guys... I've been so busy and at times quite pissed off today. Work is Microsoft Schedule is pissing me off to no ends. Lots of pressure.
I did walk this morning though... And I noticed I had to work harder to get my heart rate up... Wasn't till the final lap I finally got it to 160 and my average was down to 139. 5 Lap time was good though. My resting heart rate is also much lowered from 4 weeks ago, down to 71 from 79. So, I guess this is all good, and I'm just going to have to work even harder out there.
And it's Chest and Arm workout immediately after work 💪
So crushed for time... Got home, met Lynn in the parking lot. Straight into the house, weight room and 90 minutes of sweet glorious Sweat. No doubt about it, my body has learned how to sweat once more. Drenched.
Chest and Arm Day.... I did a pretty good job at guessing what I can handle, can move up on some, staying where I'm at on others. I did most exercises that needed a bench on 20% incline, simply cause lying flat on the bench hurts both Lynn and I's lower back (not to mention difficult to get up. lol). Kettle Bell Skull crushers unfortunately required a Flat Bench as my Benches back is too tall. Only other interesting thing, is I'm concentrating on using almost completely DB's (with exception of KettleBell SkullCrushers) today instead of Bar type exercises.... So I was lacking a bit on my left hand on some exercises. I feel DB exercies trump Bar exercises any day of the week, and go a long way to building all the core and stabilizer muscles. Regular Bar Bench is also great for max strength, but I don't need to go there yet.
We were both kind of run down, by the day and events at work... But at the dinner table immediately after the workout Lynn noted how much better she felt, and I would have to agree. We feel at the moment! 😄
Now I'm Just dropping this note off to you guys, Cleaning up after dinner for my share of work. (Brother Cooked). Then were settling in for an episode of Hands Maid Tale.
Sorry to Message and Run! 😜 Hopefully I can find some time.
OH one last thing... My knee's seems better off now than they were yesterday... Which must mean I need to not take a rest day tomorrow. MoooooahahhAHAHHAHAHAHHA! 😈
Peace out everyone.... I miss you guys, and feel guilty. 🙁
Ps Lynn is a great work out partner and is giving 100%. And is a great spotter to boot.4 -
@Bluetail6
Wow! That's A LOT of renovations going on at once, my head is spinning for you! Nice job on choosing something a bit lighter. You're in the middle of so much and you still got in over 6,000 steps 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@azkunk
Look at all of those ✅s!! Rowing for TWENTY minutes 🙌🏻🙌🏻 AND almost 9,000 steps🎉 Way to go with all of that purposeful movement. By the way, I know what you mean about checking your watch before going to bed to get in a quick five steps. Isn't it incredible how those little digital rewards (confetti, pins, green bars...) motivate us?
@roz0810
The rain can't slow you down! Look at all of those steps. Congrats on the new treadmill coming.
@Poobah1972
So many great things for you- look at you having to go harder while walking, your body is already stronger from the walking and is telling you to step it up 😆 Glad to hear that your knee is feeling better. Your home gym seems to be not only making you and Lynn stronger, but also help release some frustration at the day. You both are doing spectacularly well.2 -

Today was much easier, I was able to get in my hour walk this morning while the kids had graduation practice. The vacuuming and mopping did not get done, again. I was able to fold two loads of laundry and finish the kids' graduation books though. While the kids were having a snack and a rest, I did a quick ride, fast shower and then we did our Reading (both are reading The Hunger Games- one child is on book one, the other is on book three). We didn't get our evening walk in, and won't for the remainder of the week either, the kids have to wake up before the sun this week. Ok, time to read the kids a bedtime story. Have a great night everyone!4 -
This was on the June registration page so I thought I would copy it and put it here

Hi yall. I'm Erin. I'm a wife and mother of 5. During my last 2 pregnancies (boys, current ages 7m and 2y) I ended up keeping the weight after they were born. Been slow to start losing, and wanting to get fit/toned too. Husband is in this group and encouraged me to join up. Thanks for accepting me and let's all get to losing! 😁

Do you usually use your phone or iPad to use the habit tracker? I just checked and it was working for me.

@Bluetail6
I would be chasing my tail trying to get all that done but then again multitasking hasn’t been my strong suit.
@azkunk
And she’s back! With hitting your goals the scale will be back to where it was in no time. Great day!
@Poobah1972
Another stellar day! With your determination success is a guarantee.

I think you deserve 5/5 ✅’s. Your water was so close! Awesome day! It amazes me how much you get done as a busy Mom.
@emking517
Welcome to the team! You must be super busy with 5 kids. I can’t wait to celebrate all the milestones of your weight loss journey.
