Check in for Friday
✅Steps 7,529
✅Sleep
✅Walk
I heard from the spine clinic regarding by appointment. I won’t be getting in to see the surgeon until 2022. I can’t go on the cancellation list right now as it is really long. I truly wanted to stuff my face so bad. I was tempted to go to the market and load up on junk. I talked myself down and stayed within my calories. I am beyond frustrated. I have a follow up appointment on the 28th with my gp and I am going to agree with going to the pain clinic. One day at a time is how I am going to navigate this.
Anyways, I am off to the supermarket. I have to get a walk as I need 6,674 for the weekly challenge but I am aiming for 7,000.
Happy Saturday!

I'll keep it short this morning.
SLEEP SUCKED - I had a total of 4 hours and 31 minutes. Johnny Tired. 😐 😋😅
And for Cardio I went for a hard but short scoot on the Elliptical. The way I see it, the lack of sleep and Leg day yesterday, and the fact were about to go out shopping, and I have a cabinet to assemble and install on a wall (IN THE EXERCISE ROOM hehe) immediately after that. Oh and were having a family over for a BBQ later. I've got enough work on the agenda today, and in the grand scheme of things, I had a pretty fantastic week.
So yea just 15 minutes on the Elliptical, and a trip upstairs... I think I sort of sat on the bed staring off into space for a few minutes before I remembered to stop the timer. lol. Other than that, the Fitbit seems to have worked fantastic. Also knowing I was going for half the time; I really increased my pace and difficulty. "FUN FUN FUN" (translates to holy copious amounts of sweat batman).
Okay I better go figure out my nutrition for the day, and get going. Got stuff to do yo!
Have an amazing day everyone... 😀👍
Not having enough sleep sucks. I struggle with my sleep every now and then. The biggest thing that helped me is following the same bedtime routine every night. I also take melatonin. I didn’t like it at first but after a few nights it really helped. Great job on the elliptical.4 -

Steps 16,407
Went grocery shopping then did some cleaning. I started week 2 of my workout program and went for a swim with the kids. Which means I mostly lounged around on a float but did race my daughter a couple of laps. Shockingly she beat me! She has super long legs and arms. I must be getting old. Dinner was skinnytaste air fryer chicken sandwich with Siracha Mayo.4 -

My vacation didn’t wreak as much havoc as I was anticipating. I’m relieved. I didn’t track my food at all, so I definitely have to get back in that habit now that I’m home.

@lindamtuck2018 so awesome the way you handled the setback with getting in to the doctor. It is frustrating to wait so long. It’s funny you posted that mantra today because I posted it to my facebook after I saw it. We must get similar feeds.
@Poohbah1972. Hope you sleep well tonight. Melatonin really helps me. Have a great BBQ.
@lmf1012 great loss! I enjoyed your post about playing to your strengths to make dieting easier.
@rlaskey2 your pool time sounds like so much fun and your Skinnytaste recipes sound yummy.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 that is an incredible walk! So jealous of your walking and pool time. I can hardly wait for grafts to finish.
Since my walking has been curtailed, I went to a 4 day upper/lower split resistance training. Never thought that people might notice. But received a comment about how the veins in my arms stand out and a question about the petechiae in my forearms. Lately I have noticed that my stomach has changed. When I first started diet and exercise it was solid. Then it felt like a foam filled beanbag or pillow. Mostly solid with some empty spaces that allowed the stuffing to shift. Then a partially deflated water balloon. Now it feels like soft, loose wet dough. Very elastic and squishy. Still have 10-15 pounds to lose but not sure that will happen. Definitely have lots of loose skin that will require surgery. But happy to be where I am.
Have a fantastic weekend!6 -

It is so nice when people notice the change. It would be so nice to get rid of my belly apron and the wings on my arms. Do you have to pay for skin surgery? It is not covered by insurance here.3 -

Oh yeahhh!! Another three for three 🎉 You are doing absolutely amazing with your walking, over 7,500 steps!! That's CRAZY, about not being able to see the spinal surgeon until next year. Hopefully something changes and you can get in earlier. Well done not giving in to that frustration temptation to eat the junk. That was a huge hurdle 👏🏻👏🏻 One day at a time, is a great way to look at it. Another amazing habit change for you- you need 6,674 for the challenge and yet you are aiming for 7,000 🙌🏻🙌🏻 You're simply spectacular!
@lmf1012
Yayyyyy!!! Congratulations on your loss 👏🏻👏🏻 AND reaching well over 10,000 steps 🎉🎉 You've been doing so incredible 🤩 You are a whiz at this!
@Megan_smartiepants1970
You are truly impressive! Your stamina, your willpower, your dedication 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Although, my feet just scrunched up like the Wicked Witch of the East when I saw 210 minutes and 8.77 miles. Then I swear I heard my feet squeak out a "nooooo" when I read that you'll be repeating that walk on Saturdays. Wonder Woman!4 -
@rlaskey2
Wow! Another huge step day Rachel 👏🏻👏🏻 How's the new workout program going? Nice going racing your daughter, she must have loved that. Yummy dinner.
@red1185
Yes, that was a great success! It's so hard to stick to a plan on vacation and look how amazingly well you made out. You did fantastic PLUS you got steps in during vacation 👏🏻👏🏻 Do a dance, you did amazing!
@888Angie888
Another enormous step day 👏🏻👏🏻 You're a remarkable high stepper!!
@Beautyofdreams
You are so diligent when it comes to exercise, walking has a pause, so you move to resistance training. Brilliant! It's so good to hear that you are happy with where you're at, because you have worked so hard to get there and have come so far. You should be happy, I'm glad you are! 🤗
@Beverly2Hansen
Congratulations on your loss! You're doing so extremely well hitting your goals 👏🏻👏🏻
@Tazaria87
Congratulations on your loss and your total loss 111.2 lbs 👏🏻👏🏻 AND for surpassing 10,000 steps. Rest, you had a long day. 🤗

This morning while I was waiting for hubby, I was pacing in the street and trying to walk backwards (walked almost a mile, waiting for him- what do men do that takes so long?). Hubby and I went for our morning walk (yayyyyyy🤩) and today he suggested that we do bursts of jogs (my inner self said, whaaaat?). We wound up doing six bursts of short jogs during our 3 mile walk. I'm so proud of him 💖 I was able to get in a ride and a quick arm workout- had a feeling I may need the extra exercise calories for tonight. Later on we took the kids to walk around the shops, he wanted to get out of the house and it was a good way to sneak in more steps for everyone. When we came home, my daughter and I went for a 2 mile walk. I was so close to 18,000 steps, 17,810, and you know how I like to round up to the nearest hundred to sneak in a few extra steps. Well, that would bring me to just one hundred under 18,000. A huge goal for me, so I paced the house until I got there.7 -
@Beverly2Hansen
Fantastic loss! Your goals are great. I can’t wait to celebrate your July 1st goal.
@Tazaria87
Your weight loss is amazing. You have lost the equivalent of another person. All I can say is awesome!
@TheresaM787
Your steps are outstanding. You added jogging into the mix! I know you are proud of your hubby but you should also be so proud of yourself. You work hard to meet your goals and you are showing us how maintenance is done. I am honoured to have you as a teammate.5 -

I have been super busy here. Staying on track with calories. Not so well on sleep. Trying to stay positive. I do have a sweet tooth but I am doing good about not eating alot of junk food. I have found I like sugar free jello. It is only 5 calories in a serving or 20 for the whole box. It satisfies my sweet tooth so that i dont eat a bunch of cookies. Have a good weekend!6 -

Your steps are fantastic! I had trouble with my sleep for awhile but keeping my bedtime routine made a big difference. Also, I take melatonin. I used to eat so much of that jello. Maybe I will try it again. That’s good that you are finding low calorie ways to satisfy your sweet tooth.littleflutterby wrote: »Steps for Saturday- 14,852

Yesterday was my birthday and spent the day doing fun stuff. Picked up my new desk/chair to complete my remodeled room. It is so pretty now and bring me joy versus the old kids playroom that looked so messy when you first walked in the house.
Met a friend for coffee and went to one of my favorite summer spots on the water for cocktails and oysters then dinner out with friends.
Topped of the night with snuggles from my favorite little people. All in all a great way to start my 44th year!5 -
Top of the Morning to you this find Sunday...
I did drop off of the MFP world yesterday. Yesterday was busy.
So... In case you didn't know, trying to drill 4 holes 3/8" x 3" deep through concrete and have them all line up perfectly straight is NOT POSSIBLE. Not only is it not possible to just drill a hole in concrete, it's damn sure no way possible to get them all to line up properly. Which they must when have a particular thing which must be mounted.
I got the Cabinet together, no problem. (I followed instructions). But after 2.5 hours straight of putting everything I had behind that drill, including my chest, and my shoulder and all 400 pounds of me. I'm literally bruised marked up, sore as TRRUCK. In the end I managed to drill 3 holes to depth. But only 2 will line up, as the 3rd wondered. I have a 4th hole that also wondered to far, and I had to abandon it... And then I have my 5th hole, where my drill died... But with any luck today, I'll finish that one off and it should give me 3 good holes, and that should enough to Wall mount this Cabinet securely. (and hide all the bad holes... lol).
Literally I earned 40 zone minutes just drilling those holes, so I guess that's a plus right?
So today, I gotta get my *kitten* to work to grab that second battery for the drill (Didn't think I would of needed it for 4 simple wholes, lol). I also need to trim the mounting plate in the shop. Then Pickup a friend whom I promised to help with music stuff, bake a loaf of bread, bake Hamburger buns, have a meeting at my Ex's with my Son to discuss the possibilities of learning to live on his own. Oh and I was suppose to do laundry as well. Good thing I don't eat today as I'll have more time to do this stuff.
OH and I just remembered by August I'll have a Wall mounted organizer to install above the cabinet, that also needs 4 bolts sunk into that same Concrete wall. I'll have to google, but maybe If I started with smaller holes and worked my way up to the larger one, they won't wonder as much? Fun for the future, cause I'm committed to my plan damn it.
Results from Friday's Leg day...
My quads and my traps are still really pooched this morning. Legs feel similar now to what they did after my first leg day a month ago. My traps are feeling way worse then they a month ago. Conclusion, that HEX BAR really is amazing. Muscles are growing. 💪
Party on Dudes... I won't be around to much today either. Miss you guys! 🤗6 -

Check in for Friday
✅Steps 7,527

❌Walk
I ended up having to go to 2 supermarkets yesterday so I was hurting when I got home. I knew a walk was out of the question but I was determined to reach my 50k steps for the weekly challenge and get at least 7,000 steps. I was like the little engine that could. I would get up and do laps around the apartment. I would keep saying I can do one more. My husband and granddaughter cheered for me. I also channeled Theresa’s one more challenge she did awhile back. Anyways, it took most of the day but I did it!
Today is a busy day. I have an eye exam this morning. Weird day for an appointment. I am making salads before I go. We have to make a few stops while we are out. Then this afternoon we go to my daughters for Father’s Day/my birthday celebration. I am not worrying about my walk today. I am going to count calories to the best of my ability today but I won’t be weighing or measuring my food. I have been dreaming about the brownie cheesecake that they are getting for my cake all week. I will take a picture if I remember.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads in the group!

Sounds like you had a lovely day. Happy Birthday.
@Poobah1972
Sounds like you got quite the workout drilling those holes. I guess hurting after strength training is a good kind of hurting. Happy Sunday!

Congrats on a new personal high!
