    Praying for Angelina.

Cindy, any more current updates on Beth?

No, thanks for asking. I saw her a week ago tomorrow and she had just been to the doctor. They've told her it's a slow healing process and to be patient. She sees her doctor next in March sometime. I don't want to bug her too much and chance making her feel bad if her eyesight isn't getting any better. I'm back in town on Thursday and maybe I'll go see her on Friday and see if there's been any progress.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to y'all. I love you ladies!

Thanks for your prayers for Angelia, she has had her two surgeries and they went great. She is resting comfortably now. The surgery to remove the cancer was done while she was awake - eek, just pain meds around the affected area. They were able to remove all of the cancer! Praise the Lord! Today she had a plastic surgeon close the area of the surgery. She will be coming home tomorrow. It will take a couple of weeks for the biopsy results to come back. We are praying for a miracle and it will come back cancer free! The cancer that they found is very rare in someone her age. She is a tough little girl and was strong and brave through it all. Her faith in Jesus is amazing!

Hope you ladies have a very love-filled day!

Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day. It was very quiet here. I think quiet is okay, though.

I was out of town working on Valentine's Day and I'll be out of town on my anniversary next week too. So both days were/will be quiet for me

Our Valentine's Day was quiet as well. We spent quite of bit of time praying for and thinking about Angelia since it was her surgery day. Now I ask for your prayers for her mom. As soon as they got home she started having severe pain in her lower abdomen. Not sure if it is ovarian cysts/cancer or a kidney stone. She is in the hospital right now and Mamaw is taking care of the girls. Your prayers are much appreciated. Her name is Joanna.

Whew! Home from Nashville. Had to drive in freezing rain and sleet. Thankfully the first hour was just wet roads. By the time I reached the last 30 minutes or so, the temperature had dropped to 31 degrees and the roads were starting to get slippery. Have to head back out in another couple of hours for a job in town. Short day today, but really long day tomorrow. Hopefully they've been salting the roads. 🤞

Stay safe, Cindy. It has gotten colder here, but very sunny. Should have a warm up by the weekend.

Got lucky and the snow got pushed a day. I'm working downtown tonight until 10pm or so, but the snow isn't expected until 1 or 2am.

Oh my! We are around 72 degrees today! I love being down South! I'm even starting to get a tan on my arms from sitting out on the porch in the mornings!

Praise the Lord, Joanna's pain isn't caused by ovarian cancer. They will do a laparoscopy to find out what is causing her pain. I don't remember if I mentioned this, but Angelia's biopsy came back benign. Previously it had showed cancer and they were quite concerned, but we believe Jesus stepped in and delivered her! Praise the Lord.

Hope you ladies have an awesome and restful weekend.

Oh wow, looks really good, Cindy.

We ate out while shopping and stopped at The Spot. It's open from 10-2 every day, so you have to be quick! LOL! I had the grilled shrimp and fries. Very good stuff! Grilled shrimp isn't on their menu, but I ordered a shrimp burger one day without the bun and she asked me if I wanted the shrimp grilled. You betcha! So glad they will do that!

Oh, we went to the thrift store and I found this very heavy shell-shaped bowl. Wade had gotten me this lighthouse and basket of shells a year ago for Valentine's Day, so I put the lighthouse in the center and then the shells all around it. I still had too many shells, so the rest went into a little round bowl that I had. Very pretty. I like to watch Antiques Road Trip and every time one of the guys picks up a bowl or vase he talks about how weight shows value! This is very heavy! I paid $15 for it, more than I would usually pay for something in a thrift store, but this is our favorite one and it is Christian (they give away their Bibles!). I'll take a picture of it some time and download it to the computer.

Hope you all have a very blessed Lord's Day tomorrow!

I just finished talking to my friend, Beth, about her eyes. Last week she had to go in for another surgery because her right eye had a lot of scar tissue that was making her vision worse (that was the blurry eye). She sounded like she was doing better and it was starting to heal. Her Picasso eye (the left) is a little better than it was... she still things a little fractured, but she's able to read my texts and it's not as bad as it was when I saw her 3 or 4 weeks ago. Thank you for praying.

Praise the Lord she is moving in the right direction. Makes me very thankful mine wasn't retinal but vitreous detachment - wow, what a journey she's had! Will continue to pray.

Went out today. Wade had a consult so we did some shopping while in the big town! I have 3514 steps so far today and my legs know it! My back isn't real happy about it either. A friend of mine is having some pain in the SI joint area and her right leg is going numb in the same place mine went numb. I told her to ask her doctor about the possibility of SI arthritis rather than a pinched nerve.

I hope y'all are doing well. Love you

My husband's blood test on Jan 16 shows that he is in stage 4 kidney failure. The doctor canceled and rescheduled his appointment to Thursday. I got a call this morning saying that his appointment was canceled again and rescheduled to March 23. I called and told them this was the second reschedule and that his blood tests showed stage 4 kidney failure and that the blood tests were in mid-January. I got a call a few minutes later that they were working him in tomorrow and referring to a kidney specialist.

This makes me very nervous. With his dementia, I don't know what they are going to recommend, or what I want them to recommend. Please pray for guidance in our next moves.

    I am praying, Connie.

Wade is going to have an MRI. One of his numbers was high and they want to make sure that there isn't any cancer involved. He doesn't have a date for the MRI yet but please keep him in your prayers too. Thank you so much.

Trying to take it easy today after too many steps yesterday. Last night my right leg about gave out on me, and I'm often walking around bent over from the back pain. Doing better today though, and am praising the Lord for that!

The appointment went well today. Although the kidney function keeps dropping, it is just the beginning of stage 4. He does want Bill to go to a specialist (appt in mid-May) to assure that some of his meds aren't causing this. Usually kidney issues go with diabetes, but Bill's sugar levels and A1C have held steady for years with no meds, so doctor is looking for other causes.

    Kim - praying for Wade.

Thanks, Connie. You and Bill are on my prayer list, as are all my cyber-friends! My heart goes out to you as you walk through this time with Bill. I wish I were closer and could do more for you, but Jesus is there!

Gorgeous day yesterday. We have sunshine and around 70 for today. Praise the Lord. Have I ever told you, I don't like to be cold!? LOL! Even today I am wearing long sleeves, although I did put on my sandals rather than my fuzzy slippers!

Have a blessed day and if you are able to worship this evening, I hope it is an awesome time with the Lord!

Today started out rough. Bill wanted to stay in bed for a while. That alone makes it more stressful for me, because he has no sense of urgency. I usually give us 2 hours to get ready, and I still have to rush him. This morning I had an hour and a half, and when he got out of bed, he had left a huge wet spot on the bed pad, so I grabbed another one to change, then found a wet spot that the pad didn't catch. I had to wash the pad and bottom sheet. Then, went in the bathroom and stepped in a puddle, so had to mop the floor. At that point, I just gave up on church, dressed him in sweats and decided to do my own worship.

Oh my, Connie, I can so relate. We ended up having to put mom in disposable underwear (which rarely caught all of what she needed to void), but it was better than the alternative. We got some "adult" diapers for her for at night. I would double up with the disposable underwear, but she wouldn't go until we stood her up, and then she would just gush! She somehow remembered that you just don't wet in the bed! Ugh! I can't imagine trying to do this on my own - you are doing awesome! You continue to be in my prayers. Never forget that he doesn't understand, his brain is just not able to process this stuff any more - sure makes it harder for the caretaker! God be with you, my friend.

Another beautiful and warm day, in the 70's today. Yeah. I sat on the porch this morning while eating my slice of bacon - oh yeah! God is very good!

I have Bill in diapers, but sometimes it just doesn't work. It doesn't seem that they are overfull. I can't seem to figure it out. I wonder if he gets up during the night and doesn't pull them back up correctly. I don't wake up, but maybe???? Anyway....all is well.

It was a beautiful morning this morning. I had to run to the bank to redo some IRAs and it was sunny and about perfect for early March. An hour after I got home it was cloudy and the temp was headed downward. Now it is rainy.

Mom overflowed her disposable stuff all the time, it was quite frustrating, but she couldn't help it! They do some funny stuff though when we aren't looking!

I bundled up when we went out today thinking it would be in the mid 50's and I wouldn't have to wear a coat - it ended up being in the low 60's. I waited in the car while Wade went to his doctor's appointment and the sun was right on me. Even with the window part way down I was hot!

Okay, I'm looking for a small pillow that I can tie on to my wooden rocking chair. I looked on line at wal-mart and at Amazon, but they don't have anything like that. They do have these terry cloth pillows that drap over the back of the chair and then you can move the neck pillow wherever you need it, but it's a wooden chair, so it isn't going to cling like it would on fabric. The cushion on the back of the chair doesn't go up high enough so I can't rest my head back. If I raise the back cushion, then my lower back won't have any support! I just checked E-bay and they don't have what I'm looking for. Well, all of them have these neck pillows that go around the chair with an elastic band, but they are anywhere from $13.99 to $27.99, and that just seemed a bit high to me. Maybe I have pre-covid prices on the brain! LOL!

Hope y'all have a great evening. Love you.

It's cool here today, but at least the sun came out late this afternoon.

We are getting estimates for replacing a window well and extending the downspout from the guttering. WOW! That first estimate about floored me. The labor alone was about $3000 (probably no more than 2 days for one person). I have two more people coming to check it out, one that we have used before. Praying that we can get it done a bit more reasonably.
