Tonight I thought I might blow the diet. I had left-over spaghetti sauce, sausage and smoked sausage in the freezer and decided to do pizza quesadillas. I have been using the Prego low sodium spaghetti sauce and it had a lot more than we need for spaghetti. I used to always make sauce, but this is really tasty and so easy for 2 meals. I put everything in the tracker and I am going to be really close, but probably under just about 25-50 calories...probably left something out of the tracker, anyway, so works out.

I always think of things after I've done the tracker! Hopefully they weren't too bad!

Back to no treats for another week! I'm going to work on getting up and doing a couple of laps every couple of hours - as long as my SI and hip agree!

Not sure when the MRI results will be in.

You talking about no treats for a week and I just got done eating 165 calories worth of cookies.

Well, as it turns out I should say, try not to. Wade made some no bake pumpkin cookies which are really more like a crumble and I had two of those this week. What we didn't put in the freezer is now gone so the temptation is as well! So what kind of cookies? I hope they have chocolate in them, then my sweet tooth won't go bonkers!

I did have McDonald's for lunch today. We went out to vote and do a little bit of shopping just at lunch time! I had a $5 meal and Wade at the chicken bites and half of my fries. I had the chicken sandwich and some fries. Oh, and 1/2 of a small coke. BBQ chicken for dinner tonight. I'll probably do mine on a net no-carb tortilla! I think I'll make my smoothie too so I can get all of my powders in (vegs and vitamins).

We had BBQ chicken left-overs tonight. My cookies were peanut butter sandwich cookies. They are a generic, but better than Nutter Butter. Bill and I both love them. I try to not binge on them. I found them about 6 months ago, and Bill asks for them instead of bakery cookies.

Mom and I had dentist appointments today, so Bill's daughter sat with him for a few hours. He has really been alert and cognizant today. I will take all of these days that the Lord gives us. He even figured out how to use his power lift recliner (hasn't been able to use the control on it and we have had it over a year).

Wow, praise the Lord! So glad you are able to still have to moments, God is good!

I've lost about three pounds since trying to eat fewer carbs, hopefully it is helping my triglycerides as well!

Every time I watch carbs closely, my cholesterol goes up. I finally just gave up on it. I can lose the weight easier, but need to lose slower and with a bit less fat and cholesterol.

We've been watching our saturated fat for at least 20 years now, when I talked to a nutritionist about lowering my cholesterol. Now to just get my carbs under control. I've done pretty good, but there are days... :# I hope you find that happy medium!

I have been really bad about tracking. I probably didn't go over my calories today, but just didn't track. I need to get down to business again.

Me too. I've actually lost 6 lbs from my highest scale weight at home. I did gain one pound this week (Wade made banana bread donuts and pumpkin bread donuts - too good, but small. Two of these would make of one of the Dunkin size!)

I have lost 6 total pounds from the highest weight on my scale at home. Now to buckle down and start cutting those carbs again!

I was so bad the last couple of days. I need to buckle down again.

For some reason I can't seem to fault you for eating off plan! Sometimes stress just demands sugar! or extra carbs!

I did well yesterday eating smaller meals. Lunch today will be a big meal, hamburger with grilled onions and mushrooms and some mashed potatoes (gotta eat those leftovers)! I've been enjoying my Greek yogurt, apple and dry roasted peanuts "salad" for one of my meals and that will probably be dinner tonight. Oh, and I add 1 oz hunk of cheese too (not in the mix, but on the side - LOL).

Bill's birthday is Sunday and then on Wednesday, we have friends that are coming by and bringing a birthday cake and ice-cream. I think I will just not bother trying to get down to business until after that. We aren't doing anything special for Thanksgiving, so cooking a Turkey breast and mashed potatoes and some veggies shouldn't kill the diet too badly.

That sounds like a very special time for Bill! Happy Birthday to him... The holidays are such a hard time to start trying to lose! I need to find something other than cereal for breakfast. Trying to save a little bit I quit ordering my Aussie Bites. Having cereal doesn't help with the carb-lowering I was trying to do. I do better with the other meals, but breakfast is the hardest. Wade found these licorice chunks at the Dollar store and they come in different flavors. I've done really well in eating, on average, just one a day. Three is a serving and I haven't eaten that many in one day. I like the lemon and blueberry/pomegranate the best! Yum. Just $1.25 for a small bag which has lasted me more than a week. Helps keep that sweet tooth from rearing its ugly head!

I did some house walking and 1lb weights for my arms day before yesterday. Yesterday I got extra steps in going to have my bone density test. Now to wait patiently for those results to come back - two to three weeks. I saw my hip-bone circled on her computer but hoping that was just taking measurements!

Have a great weekend y'all. I hope you are able to enjoy fellowship with your Church family. Kim

I totally fell off the weight loss, healthy eating wagon. This is day 2 with zero sugar. I did purchase SF ice-cream and cookies, though. I have been very careful even with those....they still have calories, just not as bad on the glysemic index for Bill.

I have been very good so far this week with not eating treats. I have lost some weight and I think part of that is from water loss because I am wearing my compression wraps more frequently. I've lost five pounds over the last month or so. I'm trying to get a few extra steps in, but quit when my leg starts to hurt. Eating fewer carbs hasn't been easy, but I do believe I am getting fewer than I had been getting. Hopefully that will help my triglycerides.

I had a friend bring a small bag of popcorn, marshmallow, pretzel, M&M mix by. I finished it that night. No more sugar since, but not low calorie or low carb. I have lost a tiny bit, so that's good. After the holiday, we will see what happens.

Holidays are a hard time to lose! I'm down to 235. I weighed, went to the bathroom, weighed again and I'd lost one pound! I did scoot the scale forward and couple of inches - maybe that changed it! Who knows, but I'll take it! I did really well avoiding treats during the week but had several over the weekend. I am going to work at have just one on Saturday and one on Sunday! I will also enjoy desserts when we have our Christmas meal together. :D
I'm also working on getting more steps. I believe I am going to set my timer for one hour and will do several laps around the house each time, using my 1 lb weights for my upper body.
