One of my life verses is at the end of that chapter - 6:34  "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Something our Pastor preaches on is living in the now. Have goals and a vision for the future, but don't live there. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't promised, so live today with all that you've got for Jesus! Helps keep me grounded!

I need to do my inside walking as well. I've slacked off on that. I think I am going to set goals for myself there as well. With this tiredness I'm not sure I will get as many steps as I had been before I fade, but I am going to work on getting 750 steps the first two days, then up that to 1000 steps for the next five days, and then work on getting 1250 a day after that, until that becomes easy, then up it again. When things cool off I can take those steps outside.

I need to work on keeping my carbs and fats separated. I'm going to go through my recipes from THM and see where I can fix some things.

One more day and we will be into a new month - hard to believe that we are 1/2 way through summer.
Had my 2nd day with taking magnesium citrate - hopefully with taking it and the infusion that the twitching will improve. It is not so bad on the face now which is good but the body is still doing it but not for long periods of time - it is so annoying and am praying that the twitching will completely stop soon.

Also took the beta blocker last night - it does a number of things - makes sure the blood pressure is where it should be, brings the heart rate back to a more normal number (mid 50's for me) and apparently also works on helping with anxiety. Didn't get to sleep until close to 2 pm and then woke up every 2 hours so am praying that tonight will be better - I know sleep is so important

Am on plan with food - 4th day now - and feeling so much better because of that. Our health is funny - we tend to have so many illnesses that can be made better just by eating better and moving more. So that is my main goal re my health - stay on my food plan and walk up to 2,000 steps (right now I get in 1,000 so working at slowly getting in more).

    Matthew 7:15-20
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

    Have a good day everyone

Hope you find improvement quickly. I used to get ticks in my eye lids - wonder if that was from low magnesium? I knew that it caused ticking, but never associated it with the eye lid thingy I used to get. I had taken a PPI (Nexium) since 2002 and that robs your body of magnesium. These happened before I knew that and started taking magnesium. It also helps with keep headaches at bay! I take Metoprolol, a beta blocker, to keep my heartrate from racing when I do anything. I used to take quite a bit but am down to 37.5 mg a day. 25 is the lowest dose you can take, which isn't quite enough to keep my heart steady. I tried a calcium (I think that's what it is) blocker but it didn't work at all. I had to go off of the Metoprolol to have my allergy testing so I just gutted through that week since the other type med didn't work. Glad it does other things than keep my heart rate normal.

My new wraps came today. I have one on as a test to see how it does. So far it is very comfortable and much more easy to put on than the other type of wrap and even the neoprene wraps. Praise the lord. It came with four wraps. One wrap doesn't quite go up to my knee, but that should be alright.

Some friends came over to visit today and spend some time with Mom. That was very nice. She is doing well. She has an appointment with her regular doctor who will see if she needs to see a neurologist. I don't think she does since she didn't break her neck, just pulled a muscle. She tried to go through yesterday without taking any Acetaminophen, but had to have some by the evening.

    I hope y'all have a blessed day.

Had some excitement in the middle of the night. Woke up at 2 pm to no power - someone hit a power pole and took out a lot of power. At any rate because I sleep on my lazy boy and was in recliner mode I was stuck and could not get up out of the chair. It was really difficult as I needed to get up to go to the bathroom but hubby couldn't help me out without me falling. So had to call 911 and had the paramedics come out - they did it so smoothly, checked out my pulse to make sure all was ok, made sure I could walk ok and left. Power came back on at 3 am - then this morning at 9:15 our security system decided to go off letting us know that there was a power outage and the power battery was low - took us 20 minutes to figure out how to fix it - it would beep loudly every 15 seconds - so we had to turn off the beep to allow the battery to recharge. Nothing like not getting a good nights sleep - so am sure I will have one tonight.

    Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name and do many might works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.

Oh dear, what a night, Marilyn! I have an adjustable bed, and when the power goes out it goes flat. I guess recliners don't do the same thing! LOL! It's a good thing your 911 call was answered quickly - I was watching on the news this morning and in some places where they've defunded the police it's taking three to four hours for the police to answer a call! Might as well not bother! There are always the shots of people looting stores in the middle of the day in California too. I don't know why they bother masking themselves and wearing the hoodies and hats - no one is going to prosecute you even if they have your picture!!! I guess they just want the feeling that they are doing something clandestine and then getting away with it! So sad, so sorry! Welcome to the world in the last days!

Those things you mentioned Kim, had me raging for too long. I had to lay that down and let God have my attitudes and anger. I have no control over what anyone else does and I do know that HE is aware of all the details and nothing this sin sick world comes up with surprises Him. This world has certainly been "self destructing"....even more so with those in supposed authority being more ridiculous day to day.

I rested well last night and Marilyn, that was a scary episode! I never would have thought of the trouble an outage could cause! So glad they came to help in a hurry. They amaze me, how they scoop folks up off the floor etc. My neighbors/manager scooped me up off the ground when I fell on the ice back in February after that horrid winter storm. I lay out there yelling for help and crying out to God for close to 10 minutes before they heard me and came running. I had no gloves on, just a thin jacket, no phone on me etc., as I'd already put my purse in the car. This is my second time for such a fall, and resulting shoulder injuries.

I am so very thankful for God's grace, protection, healing and help...in whatever form it comes! Be blessed, ladies! I have a guy coming in...gotta act like I'm working!

Marilyn - I don't know if I would have thought to call 911 about a recliner rescue. It is a good thing that you did! When the situations demand, God gives us the answers....

    Welcome to August, Ladies!

Oh yay...I finally got my printer working again...after much prayer, trial and error, downloading HP help thingy and repeating many steps. I can print my charts etc. again. Hooya! I am not technically inclined much so really need God's help...with anything I do actually.

I'm getting some chores done before work and will have a busy day with it being the 1st. I'll run my card payments today, do my posting/filing from yesterday. I rented all my 10x10's so have 1 10x30 available today. I think I have a 10x10 and one 10x15 that the tenants cleaned after move out so I could use those if need be and 1 5x10.

I'll drop my check off at the night drop on my way to the office and snag an iced tea at McDonald's. I look forward to Tuesday/Wednesday (my weekend)...and getting more home chores marked off my list. I'm thinking getting laundry caught up was on my goals list? I need to let a bunch of stuff go!

Here we are starting a new month - and the start of summer winding down somewhat (have a hard time thinking September as summer as I relate it to fall)

Am back on track with my food which makes me feel good. I have been dealing this past week or so with low blood pressure - it goes a bit high and then comes to a stand still a bit lower than is good. And this does not help if you have to take anxiety meds as these meds bring the blood pressure down - so need to get the blood pressure a bit more stable at normal numbers. So yesterday my dea hubby did some research and we came up with a home solution that we will try for the next week - and if it doesnt help then will seek medical help. What we have found is to do the following
    (1) make sure you are hydrated - they suggest to make sure you get 64 oz by measuring it out in some container and making you get it all drank in the day - but they suggested that if you are dehyrated or dealing with low blood pressure to go for 90 - 100 oz a day - so am doing that as of today
    (2) making sure you get up and walk every hour. They day it doesn't have to be far just up and walk from one end of the house to the other end once every hour would help. So I have put an alarm on my cell phone to go off every hour on the hour to remind me it is time to get out of my chair and walk. I started this at 1 pm today and it is helping - using a pedometer to see how many steps that will be by the end of the day when I say enough is enough - and that wont be till 9 pm tonight.
    (3) they suggested taking 3 planned meals and dividing the food alloted for those meals into 5 meals. Don't add more food just divid the food you would eat in 3 meals making it into 5 meals. Not sure if I am going to do this one need to think about it as I want to make sure there is proper time between each meals and I really don't want to get into eating in the evening especially just before bed.

So far so good - blood pressure first thing this morning was normal and then at lunch is was good too - so the walking and the water is already working. Praise the Lord.

    Acts 17:24
The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

Checking in - hope you are all having a great day - am still dealing with to much smoke in the air.

But I am back on track with my food so am looking forward to having a great month.

    Proverbs 3:8-9
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.

Marilyn, praise the Lord that the water and walking are working for you. I need to walk today but am dealing with a headache (probably sinus or tension since it isn't throbbing like a migraine). I tried to do just the ice on the carotid artery, but that didn't work, so I'm going to take my Tylenol and caffeine and see if that works. If not, I'll add the migraine med! Phew!

I can't drink that much water since my lymphedema sucks it up and stores it in my legs and arms. I drink by how my thirst is and by the color of my urine. Some days I get more than others, but it's usually around that 48-64 oz. mark. I had around 16 oz. of water for lunch, so not off to a bad start. I have had some caffeine or coffee flavored drinks, but I can't really count those since the caffeine is a diuretic. (Okay, just drank another four oz. of water!)

Had lunch out with my SIL and her sister. My SIL was in town visiting her sister and wanted to see Mom, so we met at a mid-way point. Mom is getting more frail, especially after she falls (which she does when she bends over to do something. I make her stop and pick up what she dropped when I am in the room with her, but she's fallen in her bedroom, usually reaching down from sitting in her chair.) I took her tennis shoes away and she has to wear slip on shoes so she doesn't have to bend down to tie them. She brings her leg up on her lap (yep, at nearly 82 she can still do that) to get the shoe on. I can't tell you the number of times we've told her to not bend over, but as soon as she drops something - there she goes, bending over! Her brain just can't process any more that that is just something she can no longer do. She can think of, pretty much, one thing at a time. I'm just so thankful to the Lord that she is still with us!

Y'all have a very good day, love you

Kim - Has your mom tried Kizik shoes? They are made to where you can just step into them. I ordered Bill a really nice looking pair of dress shoes (looks like they lace up, but don't). They have all kinds, but you just step into them.
    https://kizik.com/

Tomorrow is another Doctors appointment for Bill. They referred him to another doctor, but that doctor hadn't called back. I called today and they said that he said Bill is beyond his scope of specialty and that Bill's doctor would have to refer him to someone else. I think that it is a good thing, because he works in the cancer center. That really scared me. I know a great foot and ankle surgeon if this doctor doesn't know who to call. He fused bones in my foot when other doctors wouldn't touch it and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I guess we will find out tomorrow. According to our primary care doctor, the doctor we are seeing is supposed to be a foot and ankle specialist. Who knows? It feels like we are just being passed around from doctor to doctor.

Connie...I find that to be true as well. The Doctor shuffles. My PCP will ask....have you seen such and so yet...(specialist of some sort)...and sets things in motion. Now my endo doc is having me see the nephrologigist...and on we go.
I am off today and tomorrow...yippee. I do enjoy my off days. I had a really busy weekend and enjoyed that, had 6 rentals. Chris got a bunch ready for me yesterday so we have something to rent again.

I have my compression sock on the left foot today. It was raging last night and I kept kicking it with the right foot so woke up in pain every little bit. Hoping the swelling resides and I feel up to a round of laundry tomorrow.
Continued prayers for us all here...with our assorted needs and loved ones.

    I want this....beautiful cabin/noodle shed....zhcqnem4g71v.jpg

Oh dear, that is a bit too nice for a noodling! But it sure would be a lovely place to live!

Connie, I went to that site - I wouldn't mind having a pair of those for myself! They look really nice too. Mom has a narrow heel and is really picky about her shoes, I'm not sure I could get her something she hasn't tried on. Ugh! They would be perfect for her, but if she won't wear them because the heel moves - although, I could put in those pads they have for the heel if they do move... I'll have to ask Wade what he thinks. I put her tennis shoes on yesterday. She tries to help too much, she started shoving her foot in before I could get the back of the shoe out of the way - slow down, Mom! heeheehee! She was in a hurry to go out to eat. Oh my, we were on a Facetime call with my BIL and his family and she sneezed and then got to laughing. It was so cute! We do quite a few Facetimes with my BIL's family, one of her great-grandbabies is there so she gets to see her on the phone quite often.

I hope all goes well with Bill's appointment today and you aren't shuffled any further. Just keep praying because Jesus already has the answers.

    Love y'all.

Well, the doctor shuffling is now over for a time. I got the go-ahead to cancel the rheumatology appointment, the doctor we are seeing is going to do the surgery, just wanted us to talk to the other guy for our ease of mind. We don't need another opinion, we already have two that agree! Now, I am waiting on scheduling to get this scheduled.

The doctor did want us to think really hard about going to Branson on vacation. He thought that Bill on that foot as much as Branson could cause problems. We were wondering about it, anyway because of the high Covid outbreaks in the area. I called and got a refund today. I do still need to go see my mom, but we will just have to figure it out around the other stuff....

Bill is doing the music/worship at church for three Wednesdays and two Sundays starting tomorrow. We will just have to work the surgery around that. He will be non-weight bearing for 3 weeks. It has been almost a year since we have done the music, but I usually enjoy playing. I miss having the worship team, but they haven't started it again.

Praying you are all having a great Tuesday - yesterday was a good day for me and I am working on making this one just as good.

@connierandel - you mentioned your husband does music / worship - does he play an instrument or just sing? You mention he will be doing it 3 Wednesdays and 2 Sundays. Do you have a service mid week? Or is it more of a study night? Always interested how different denominations do things. My husband plays the guitar and also sings - as we are at a new Church he hasn't joined the music team yet but is looking into doing that in September.

    Matthew 9:35-38
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kindgom and healing every disease and every afflictin. When he saw the crowds, he had compassin for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'

Bill leads the worship if the worship leader or the pianist are gone. He does not play an instrument. I play the piano for both times. We come as a "boxed set." I was part of the worship team until Covid hit, then due to space on the platform, it had to be disbanded. I expect it will begin soon, as well. They have been able to keep the instruments spaced appropriately, but the voices need to be closer to blend. We have a couple more keyboards, a bass, a guitar and trumpet. We have Sunday morning and Wednesday night services. The Wednesday service is geared a bit more traditional with 3 hymns because the older adults love them (that includes me) and a good deep Bible study. We are supposed to begin Sunday evening services again on the 12th of September.

Just checking in - praying that everyone is well - day 3 of staying on my food plan - have started a new routine with my devotions - while we have breakfast we listen to a sermon on line - we have decided that each day we are going to go back to the 1st sermons our Pastor did starting in August 2018 and listen to all of them - and we have been so rewarded with doing so - we also listen to John McArthur pretty much daily - and then there is our daily reading and looking things up - even at our age (both in the 70's) we are still learning. So grateful that I came to know the Lord personally at age 11 and that my husband is also a strong believer - know just knowledge but living what he believes.

    Matthew 10:5-15
These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, 'Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. Acquire no gold or silver or copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, or two tunics or sandals or a staff, for the laborer deserves his food. And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgement for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

I don't think that we can ever glean all that the Lord has to teach us through His Word. It's amazing how rich and powerful it is!

We've been going through Exodus and seeing how the life of the Israelites fits into the dispensation of Grace and affects the lives of believers. So interesting.

We have Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. Until we get our building up we are meeting on Zoom, with some folks being present on Sunday morning at either our pastor's home or their home with the pastor there.

Continuing to pray for y'all Connie. I know that you love going to Branson. It would be neat (aging myself) if they put some of the concerts on YouTube or Facebook Live, then you could enjoy it without having to tax Bill's foot!

Went to the eye doctor today. Mom is needing surgery to lift her eyelids. Before we left Hickory her eye doctor had mentioned wanting her to have that, so we will schedule a consult with a doctor who specializes in that. We had to hold her lids up to get the pictures of her eyes, otherwise she would have had to be dilated! That will be a two or three hour drive to get to the specialist. Her prescription from her last doctor was way different than the one that she got today. I really liked this doctor today, she explained things and was so patient. My glasses haven't changed much, but she had some drops and wipes that I can use to help with the itching I get on the edge of my lids and something that might help with the pockets of fluid I have under my eyes. We'll see how it all works out! Itty-bitty cataracts and dry eye are my biggest eye issues and the dry eye doesn't really affect me other than my eyes feeling gritty now and again. But she said that if we deal with that issue it may help my vision clear up some! Woohoo!

Well, I hope y'all have an awesome and blessed Wednesday night.
