Great steps! I know myself that when I get busy I tend to reach for the “bad” foods. I say “bad” as I don’t feel there is any bad foods. There is always going to be chips, pop, ice cream, pizza, etc around. When we have it we log it and move on. I know you will be on point tonight. I fill up a 32 oz. mason jar in the morning, have another in the afternoon, and then a last one in the evening. I use a straw (reusable metal) which I think makes it go down a lot faster. If it's a running day, I carry water with me and will get about 24 oz, during/post run. I also really like water, which helps
Great strategy for drinking water. I am pretty good on water but I tend to drink most of it in the evening. At least I get lots of steps for the trips to the bathroom during the night. 😂. @lindamtuck2018 that is awesome that you are weaning yourself from insulin under dr.'s orders! Absolutely phenomenal and a great payoff for all the work you have put in to get healthy.
Saw the endocrinologist last week. She switched me back to prednisone. It was so nice to see someone familiar with diabetic nerve damage. Saw my GP because blood pressures were running 90/52 when standing and sitting. Blood pressure medication was halved until GP can talk to nephrologist about stopping it entirely. @rwood566 if you are on any bp meds, maybe you can ask your dr. to readjust the dosage or remove. Think this will resolve my lightheadedness. Skin grafts still on going. Told to stay off my feet still. So bored.
Was looking through a closet today and ran into an old notebook that I used to record weightlifting sessions and measurements in. Trigger food.s: Diet pop and chocolate, corn chips
had to stop drinking pop because it left a sweet taste in my mouth that made me want more and upset my stomach so would eat something with it. Now I eat fruit or if I want chocolate a Built bar. They have 130 cal, are chewy and have 6g fiber so very filling. Tomato sauce tends to trigger sugar cravings so rarely eat it. Just stopped buying corn chips and didn't miss them.
Your measurements are very interesting. Also, menopause for me has added stubborn weight in the abdomen. Thank you as I am very happy about the insulin. Sounds like things are coming together with your doctors finally. When will you be finished the skin grafts?@Beautyofdreams very eye opening numbers. Thank you for sharing. I have been off my b/p meds for months. They started taking me off or reducing last year when I started getting lightheaded. Used to be on 2.
@lindamtuck2018 congrats on starting to wean off insulin. I hope you get to stay off it.

Steps - 6234. Bad day when I was standing. Got lightheaded quickly. Pulse while making pancakes should never be 127.
Calories - 1700. Had room for a flan cup.
Exercise - 1.5 mile walk in 35 minutes. Had to stretch my legs so I did a little one. Back is really sore today. I want to hit a long one tomorrow or maybe the gym.
Thanks Roger! Sorry about the dizziness. Nice walk in spite of your back being sore. Did you do the lying on floor with legs up on chair? Ok... Now for the rest of the story. I'm just getting back online today. First and foremost, I would like to think all of you who stuck with me for the last couple of months. When I got back from my last trip in late June, I had a really really bad ankle sprain. I was coming down the stairs, and our cat just jumped out of nowhere and surprised me. I missed the last step and turned my ankle. I had to get 2 sets of x-rays over time. The concern was there might have been ligament damage, the swelling was so great. It was so weird to be totally stopped in my tracks like that. I know I have often said that it is not what is thrown in ones path, but how one deals with it... Well, I must humbly admit, I didn't deal with it very well. I went into a funk. You see, I am totally type A. I expect a lot of myself. I am able to accomplish quit a bit.
Well as of last Wednesday I was given the total ok to resume my regular exercise. Also, I didn't gain too much. Moving around was slow and painful. I'm just dangerous on crutches, so that didn't work very well even with a protective brace sort of thing.
A real positive is that I am still at 50 lbs. lost since 9/1/20. I'm not to my goal, but within 15 lbs., or less. If I had been over weight, I would have broken my ankle for sure, no joke. 😬
This was my first real setback. However, the one thing I know for sure is I will never go back to being overweight. I just need to really give myself grace. I have to work on that.
As a final note... I am going on another trip to the East Coast in the wee hours on Monday morning. I have a niece getting married, and will be visiting my sister. I'm not sure what my internet situation will be for some of the trip. I will have my phone, but if it is cellular only, I have to reset my login days, even though I check in daily. It needs to be wifi. Anyway, I will do my best to check in. It is my last trip till the fall. 😛🙂🧡Lee

Missed 2 of my reminders to move because I had a nap. Not sure what happened to the third. I used the exercise bike and tried the elliptical again. I think the elliptical is hard as I am very uncoordinated.
My granddaughters stayed over last night so I will only do the bike when they go home. If my steps are short I will hop on the treadmill. It’s going to be too hot to walk once they go home. Hopefully the pool will be open tomorrow.

Calories: Within Allotted Range (low end of calories as didn't eat all all my dinner, made Keto "bagel" bites to go with my soup & salad and HATED them so didn't eat them, took an hour to make them too! On the plus side the soup I made was delicious!)

Good morning team! Day 6 of being back on track!
It’s rest and recovery day for me. I had a nice long easy walk with hubby and hound and got home to a gorgeous bouquet from my neighbor and also some courgettes all from her garden.

Got up in the morning and met dad at the lake for a 5 mile walk. We had a very deep and therapeutic talk about insecurities. The walk was good for the body and mind. After that we relaxed for a bit and then headed to our friends' house for swimming. After a couple hours the kids got tired so we headed home. My husband made yellow curry for dinner that turned out fabulous and I made a fresh loaf of bread and tried a new recipe for low calorie chocolate chip cookies. After the busy day, I was pretty tired and crawled into bed early haha.3 -

This week has been a rollercoaster for my weight. I did a midweek check-in, and it was up to 167. Fortunately it’s gone back down, but I am still frustrated that my weight is back in the 160s at all.
I’m trying to keep my eyes on the NSVs -
- Overall my weight is still down from my original start weight.
- I have been doing well with my steps.
- My work pants that I haven’t worn in over a year still fit!
- I’ve met step goals daily this week.

Hey Guys... I'm sorry. I'm really terrible for finding time to get here on weekends. Were always go go go, from the moment we get up. Lots of stuff going on today... Including 1 hour Jaunt on the Elliptical on our Fast day. 🤓
Granted I took it easier then I normally do, and intended at first to elliptical for the duration of an entire movie.. But after an hour and a pretty crappy movie. I called it quits. lol
So after the Elliptical, it was visiting an Aunt and Uncle I haven't seen post Covid... Had to empty my car of stuff from another Aunt/Uncle that I loaded up in Ottawa. Anyway, a great visit, and they were pretty impressed with Lynn and I (how can they not? 🤓😃)
And since our return home, I've got what appears to be the best Keto Hamburger Buns to date in the oven... They are full size or better (so exciting)... And another Keto Loaf of Bread is on its final rise before cooking. Just gota have it, no two ways about it. 🍞🍴=😃😋
As for Tomorrow's weigh in.... Things are not looking promising for either Lynn and I... Not sure what is up but my ring is actually tight on my finger (And months ago it was threatening to fall off). And the scale is confirming that for both of us. But who know's maybe a I'll lose 10 pounds over night? (Could happen right). 🤞
What's left... Just gotta pull that loaf once it's cooked, but before then a Hair dresser will be giving my head a shave. (not like bald.. huh-huh). Hey every little extra bit of weight will help tomorrow morning. Perhaps I should spray my body with Naire while were at it yah? 😳😅
Um no... Don't do that. lol
Here's the Buns before cooking... These things are amazing and only about 2.5 carbs each and 142 Calories.

Steps - 5332 plus 20 minutes bike. 5.5 miles moderate effort.
Calories - 1705. Had a small cake slice and pineapple for dessert.
Exercise - gym - 9 machines and 20 minutes bike. Interval training lvl 9. Last 5 minutes at 80 rpm. Mini golf - 45 minutes. Could only last 28 holes due to back. Had 3 aces.
Quick question...the cake container from store says 910 calories but MFP says 670. I had 1/3 slice. Which would you all use?
Mini golf was rough. Up and down stairs, hot, crowded. Wife stepped on my ball and took a header. Scratches but ok, she says. She always says that even when bleeding. Infuriating. When I tried to help her up she didn't even help so I hurt my back.4 -

Hi all, here for Monday check in.
Wow, 78 posts to catch up on in the thread when logging in and I try to read the thread daily. I love how active the team is.
I think it's time to acknowledge for myself, that some habits have crept in and I haven't been doing the best I could be with my food choices for multiple reasons lately. I'm still logging what I'm eating, there's been a fair few instances where I don't know the exact calories.
And I'll be honest, I thought about taking a break from weighing in within the past week, but instead recognised that it is important that I still keep the structure of checking in each week as I didn't come this far to only come this far. Reading all your posts continues to inspire me, no matter what.
I'm about to eat some overnight oats with chia seeds, choc oat milk and strawberries that I put together last night. Oatly chocolate oat milk tastes good, just like regular chocolate milk. Not too bad either, 92.5 cal for 150ml which is a decent amount for overnight oats.
I'm determined to get back on track and prove to myself again that I can lose consistently whilst not feeling deprived etc.

Good morning team! 1 week back on my journey. I’m so happy to get back into my workout routine and to start taking some accountability for my eating habits. It’s not yet perfect but I’m making small improvements every day.
Today was a home gym day. My workout buddy had to travel for her dads funeral so I won’t workout with her until maybe Wednesday. Until then it’s home workouts for me.

Or maybe not? If you know my fiancé Lynn, reach out and give her a little loving today. The scale was indeed quite mean to her this morning, and she worked harder than ever last week to add salt to the wounds. Sure, it was probably the fact that she did work harder that caused extra water gain, and or muscle development, but it still tugs on the heart strings. You had an incredible week, and the payoff is just around the corner. The scale isn't the end all be all and we both pretty aware of that. I love you babe! 🤗😘
Me on the other hand, managed to right the ship somehow... I must admit I cheated a wee bit. With the 1000 Cal fasted Cardio yesterday. 1 Ton of water drank, and a few Ibuprofen for no other reason yesterday afternoon other than to drop water weight 😬. I woke up with my bladder about to explode at 11:58am and it didn't help that it was raining outside. Then it was ready to explode again at 4:30am when my alarm went off. 😁👍 Then I followed that up with a fairly hard cardio session (Still fasted, now at the 35ish hour mark).
Oh, and breakfast was extra tasty this morning with some well worth waiting for extra yummy fresh toast! lol
New weight this morning 381.3 (I guess this scale can measure in increments of .1 ?) For a total weight loss of 2.5 (which you all know cause the scale beats me to this post. lol)
Great burn this morning and cool down... 77 zone minutes for my 30 minutes on the Elliptical opposed to 100 zone minutes for a full 60 minutes on the elliptical yesterday. Harder is better than longer in my opinion. (Although longer and hard would be agreeable yes? haha me bad🤦♂️)

Thought I would share one of the meals I prepped for hubs. These are pork loin roasts. This one is with organic coconut aminos + whatever spices I had handy. I have made this before, but it is never exactly the same, lol.
I'm on the first leg of my flight that left at after midnight. I was so busy packing, etc., that I forgot my healthy snacks...!! I was able to snag some Lesser Evil popcorn. It was the healthiest thing on the snack tray, lol. I'm going to snag a salad or something during my layover. As of now, I'm drinking water😊!
