Labor day sent me into the week without a plan. I ate every thing junk. I haven't had a lot of time to spend on here. So I'm trying to catch up. Also going to push the reset button and plan for the week. I hope you all have a marvelous weekend.1 -

slow and steady wins the race, the saying goes but we are in a competition and this just gets frustrating. doing all the right things and payday will come, I think. trying to up my steps and being more selective on where the calories come from.1

@brandi_84 I hear you...without a plan I am toast! No holiday Monday this week, so pushing the reset button now makes total sense. Hope your plan for the week is coming along nicely! (nudge, nudge)2 -

@maryc11 I take it you were looking for more than 0.7 on the scale? Upping your steps can definitely help. I know @DaffyGirl88 made some correlation between types of calories and success on the scales in her own personal journey. I think it was keeping her carbs under 100 grams. Just doing that, and not changing total calories, she found made a difference. Sue, if you could corroborate what I just said (hate to be spreading untruths) that would be great!2 -

@ashleymullo6195 So happy for you that the scales finally moved!! And in the right direction, too!2 -
@murdog3t I can't believe you have a 15 year old granddaughter!! Happy Belated Birthday! Casey, is it?
And I also can't believe that 9/11 was 20 years ago already! Because it is a day that was seared into everyone's brains, in some ways it seems like yesterday. Seeing footage can bring up those same emotions as 20 years ago; maybe not as raw, but still.1 -

@maryc11 and @HASWLRS True story. 😊 About 3 years ago I restructured my way of eating to reduce the number of carbs. My total calories haven't changed but my macros have. I used to eat oatmeal, a banana and Greek yogurt every day. All healthy foods but they pushed my carbs over 200 grams a day. I've found that by keeping my carbs below 100 per day I do much better. I've since lost about 20 pounds,( give or take) and kept it off for 2.5 years. I still eat those things and more (french fries, pasta, etc) but not all in the same day. I plan my day in advance to account for them. If I go over once in a while it's ok as long as my 7 day average stays under 100.3 -

@murdog3t happy birthday to your granddaughter. My grandson was born 3 years ago today. It gives us something positive to look forward to on this day.3 -
That was me. ☺️ I'm used to the new weight being on the bottom. Happy to change my hug to a Like! 😂1 -
yup, I understand that. Carbs and sugar are avoided but I am going to go back and review my logs anyway (thanks for the tip). You never really know what is slipping into the daily diet. I am trying to adopt a heart healthy diet for the next 90 days so I will see how that works out. I did a high protein low carb diet some time ago which had great temporary results but my focus is on finding a comfortable, balanced diet without gimmicks for the long term.2

Need to get on track and get those calories under control. I'm working on my sleeping, or lack of it. Need to set my goals, restart my strength training and get motivated. Looking forward to the weekend. Best wishes to all.
I need to do all of the above as well. You did get some exercise in which is awesome. And your tracking. If I see I am going to go above alloted calories. I just stop tracking.1 -

Just another 100 calories down and I'll be under, so working to get it down. My watch doesn't connect to myfitnesspal site, so that might actually help. Sometimes, my phone connects and sometimes it doesn't. For some reason it didn't today, but did yesterday even though I walked more at work and I have my phone in my pocket all day at work. Not sure how to get it to connect everyday. I do enjoy eating. And handing out snacks is a part of my job, so it makes it hard.1
