09/11 exercise: 12391 steps + 10 mins yoga
It was late afternoon before I started on these steps.. I had gone to the farmers market with Brad this morning but my phone said I'd only moved 400 steps.. I don't even think that's possible, but in any event, that's what I use to count so I had my work cut out for me. Brad and I took the dog for a really long walk around the community our trailer park is in and got my 10K and then some!
The morning rain had cleared so it really was the best part of the day to get out.. lucky us!5 -

@micki48 My husband got Covid. We aren't sure how. It was not bad, he just lost his sense of smell and taste. I happened to get sick at the same time with some non covid virus. I took 2 tests and they were both negative.
I don't think I will be allowed to return to work until the 21st. I am beyond stress about what is happening in my classroom. I have a lot of students with serious behaviors that a sub is not equipped to handle. I haven't slept through the night in so long because I am so worried, which I think caused me to stay sicker longer then usual. I can't remember the last time I felt this bad. I am going to set wellness goals.
1. Meditate daily (I started this week)
2. Move my body daily
3. Journal. I have a gratitude journal, but I want to add writing three things I love about my job everyday7 -
@KellyBgetsfit My heart goes out to you, it's so clear how much you care for your students. It's tough that the stress is compounding on top of the sickness and keeping you worn down for longer. Lots of hugs to you.2

Brad and I are big Bills fans... he used to drive across the border from Ontario with season tickets back when he lived there. We usually go back for a game every year, but that hasn't happened for a few years for obvious reasons.
Last year, he got me a custom made jersey for Christmas, and it didn't fit. It was so tight, and I was bursting out of it.. into the closet it went with a silent thought that it would never be worn.
Fast forward to today.....
Go Bills!!!!!!!!
Oh, and just for good measure, this is where I came from (taken one month into my journey)....

I wish I could say it was a breeze! It was challenging - but worthwhile. The second half was understandably the hardest. This was mainly because there were so many tourists around - well there would be, wouldn't there?
Nevertheless, I think that I will do another one next year, but with a friend. I think that it was harder because I was walking solo. Don't get me wrong - everyone was super friendly. I just think that it would be advantageous having a walking buddy.
Now I'm going to take tomorrow off as well, rest my legs, then get back to daily exercise on Tuesday.
BTW, I loved seeing your transformation picture - such a good job. You should be proud!

What a treat! The ever-shrinking @ashleycarole86 (WOW) and the ever-walking-over-bridges @yinxfed ! You made it! You look happy for sure - but maybe a bit tired and sore with it. I think you're right to find a buddy for next year - I'll be there would be some volunteers from the team here. There are a few in the UK and some of us from far away who would love to give it a go. And Ashley, you have changed SO much. I'm really impressed. That shirt is downright baggy.
I would also like to make a late addition to our winners for the week. @ellz_runs weighed in late, but had a seriously impressive week! She lost 4.6 pounds 2.05% and would have been our top winner if it had been there this morning. Better late than never, I say - and well done indeed. Hats off!
I think there is a very close race among those just about to pass into Onederland. If you can all keep us posted on how you are doing this week and next, you might all have some wild parties mighty close together - check it out:
@nat_meister 202.0
@MoStacy 204.5
@bowens1973 200.8
@micki48 202.5
Brad is ahead of the pack for sure, but all of you are so close! Hit a personal best for tracking and moving, and see if you can get across that line - everyone is rooting for you!
I had a perfectly lovely day here today - the weather was amazing, I got a lot done, and I had a huge hike around in the woods, through the neighbouring woods (getting wonderfully lost and finding the way to somewhere I knew), and all over the place. I always expect to be able to see the same views I see all winter when I am snowshoeing up there. With all the leaves in the way, it is much more subdued. Today there was quite a breeze, so the sounds were fabulous and I was able to sneak up on a few deer before they heard me. Happy feet.
So here we are in week 3! Weigh-ins due for Sunday and Monday:

Thanks everyone for the kind words as always... this team is SUCH a big help for me! So thankful.
@jugar what a fun thing to highlight with the four teammates currently on the cusp of entering the 100's! Can't wait to watch things unfold!
Congrats @ellz_runs ... what an amazing loss!
Decided for the ladder challenge to focus on increasing exercise minutes this week. This is my last full week at home before our vacation begins, so I want to move while I can! We are driving as far east as Montreal and back and that's a lot of in car time! We plan to take our bikes and fit in exercise where it's possible.
Today's exercise - 10368 steps3 -
@YinxFed do you think 49,242 (race day) is the most steps you've ever taken in one day? So fun! I absolutely am obsessed with the idea of long walks ... what an accomplishment!2
-
@ashleycarole86 Really an amazing before and after. Great job. Your dedication definitely is paying off!
@YinxFed Congrats Girl! That is amazing and I am so proud of you. Definitely a day off is in order and well deserved.3 -
Today was not to bad. I was a little over on calories. I got a small 15 minute walk in followed by lots and lots of laundry. My youngest is feeling better and I was able to get some more sleep.4
-
@ashleycarole86 49,242 is the highest number of steps that I have ever taken in one day, Ashley, that's for sure!
But I think that my next challenge will be a hike through the countryside - country slways wins over city. And it's much kinder on your feet.
@conleywoods So happy to hear that your little man is improving 💙2 -
Wanted some motivation today and just read through the September posts. Thanks for everyone posting their ups and downs and this MFP group. It’s helpful to see everyone going thru different struggles and it helps me remember that it’s okay to struggle and to just keep working towards my goals! Added encouragement even to set a few new ones!
Happy Monday!6 -

Thank you @jugar 🥰
Serves me right for not participating in Team chats 😁
My loss was only lucky because of the Time of The Month and heatwave in UK. I swelled up the week before like a balloon 🎈😱 now all back to normal so we will see this week. I've cut out all the bread, pasta and starchy food and I'm concentrating on on vegetables, meats and salad ☺️
Happy Monday all 🥰5 -

I'm really short on time, so I'm just going to say "all you can eat South American BBQ yesterday".5 -
@ashleycarole86 girl you look awesome!! I had a very similar experience in the last year or so with an old Packers jersey (big fan, let's not talk about yesterday..... hahaha) and it still feels a bit tight in the shoulders but it gets on! Really inspiring pics.
@YinxFed woooooo!!!! 49k steps! Man what an achievement. Way to go!
My mini vacation in NC has been so much fun. We did a ghost tour of Hillsborough friday night, a sunset kayakiing tour Saturday (truly so beautiful, I could have slept out there on the water), and went to a river swimming hole in the woods yesterday that was spectacular. I will certainly have a gain tomorrow since the food is too good and we've been indulging in some drinks haha. But that's how it goes. Still happy about how my autumn is set up, and ready to plan some new dinners for this week after I get home (flight late this afternoon).
And a steps & exercise update:
Friday: 10,971 +64 min total body
Saturday: 8,1354 -
Looks like the new week is showing some vacation results but no worries - I am sure everyone will come back to our good old losing ways soon!
@Kali225
Your time in NC sounds beautiful - sunset kayaking must have been fabulous, and a good swimming hole is always a great find. At least you gave those indulgences some exercise and outdoor time so they won't hit you too badly. Good trip home, I hope!
I spent a lot of quality time with my rototiller today -- and my muscles are going to complain tomorrow, I'm sure. I have a small electric one that I can heave about rather easily, but I went after the compost piles that needed turning and churning, then the garden rows that have been emptied, so it was a lot. More to come over the next couple of weeks as the garden gets put to bed and the cover crop gets planted. I'm going to be relieved not to have any more piles of veggies coming into the kitchen everyday! I went a bit overboard this year, that's for sure. I keep forgetting that there are just 2 of us in the house now.

@YinxFed 🎉🎉🎉Way to go!! Fantastic job with your bridge race. You worked so hard training. I’m so proud of you. You look so happy.
@ashleycarole86 What a wonderful achievement! That Jersey looks great on you!! Well done.
@conleywoods and @KellyBgetsfit Sending hugs to both of you and hoping all those germs are gone from your houses soon.
I did 22 minutes of Pilates this morning. Then had my granddaughter here the rest of the day. We colored, made a craft, played hopscotch and took a dip in the hot tub all before dinner. Logged all my food and was under. My steps are low but I also forgot to put it on for part of the day.
@ashleycarole86 My steps
