Had to weigh in a day early I hope this is ok?? If not I can weigh in again tomorrow
no problem! You are on a serious roll, too - you were our team 1st place loser last week, and here you go again! Be careful not to go too fast, though - the bounce back can sneak up and get you. If you start feeling hungry all all all the time, take a week at the same weight so that all your systems can catch up with the new reality. Short on-purpose plateaus of a week or two from time to time will save you from crazy bounces, usually. Always good to be prepared in case you start getting the raging hungries!
I’ve honestly been shocked with my lose I haven’t done as much as I want to exercise wise but I’ve been more aware of what I’m eating

@conleywoods VERY impressive and beautiful hike! What a payoff at the top. What a wonderful accomplishment. Despite, perhaps, aching muscles, I bet you felt wonderful reaching that goal.
@YinxFed Ohhhhh, you are so close and so ready for your Bridge Challenge. I remember when you were at about 5K steps a day. You are rocking those daily steps. And those leggings are absolutely wonderful!!! Good luck.
@KellyBgetsfit What a stressful time for you! Saying an extra prayer for you and your family. Hoping, whatever the results are tomorrow, that you are all feeling better very soon. Hugs.
@happimess01 Such great success!! You have done an amazing job and I love the new profile photo too.
@jugar I LOVE Heather Cox Richardson. She sustained me through the last year or so. I have taken a break to save my sanity, but I'll have to check that essay out. Here's to all those who worked so hard to bring us the weekend and labor laws to protect us! Happy Labor Day to those in the US.
@ashleycarole86 Thank you for the compliment. Being a “Mom Mom” is the best!!!
I have been in a funk and stuck in the "gain mode". Not sure why because nothing has really changed. I'm trying. I know I am feeling heavy from this pandemic and people refusing to do their part to control this. My granddaughter cannot go to PreSchool tomorrow because we don't want to put her at risk of getting Covid. I feel a bit like a prisoner in my own home. I know it's a choice we have made, but I wonder if we are too cautious? ugh, just feeling the weight of all that is going on in the world today. I have been reading posts, but couldn't even muster up a post until now.
I managed my pilates and then some this morning. Beach Barre Pilates. It was challenging and my legs were shaking. Then I talked on the phone with my niece for 3HOURS!!!! She's trying to lose weight too for health reasons. After I got off, I hula hooped for 15 minutes and really worked up a sweat! Not sure what I did different today, but actually had it going for a little longer. Then, I danced to Rock Lobster by the B52s. So despite my overly long phone call, I got in a little activity.
Now, it's off to my daughters for dinner. Hope you are all well. Michele5 -
@micki48
You win the wild rock'n'roll workout of the day award! Beach Barre (Boys?) Pilates, hula hoop, Rock Lobster - you hit all the coasts and probably had a blast. I substituted a different one for the beach barre thing today - I am not fond of that one. I went back to my fave "fun pilates" one with the lunge-flamingo-airplane-lunge series and all the silly rolling exercises, including the one where you clap your feet like the flippers of a seal. So you were rockin' and I was rolling! What a pair. I hope it keeps you out of the pandemic doldrums for at least a little while. Fall walking weather must be on the way, right? Hugs to you.
Quick catch-up -
still due today:
@lovethyneighbor
@TessieMac833
heads up for Tuesday:
@Kali225
@nat_meister
Off to bike my way through an episode of something fun. I haven't been on the exercise bike for a while, but the weather is all coooool again!4 -
Just started the next 30 day yoga series on my list in the Yoga by Adriene videos. Looking forward to seeing what progress I make with this next set.
Got a nice walk in too.. just a nice quiet day off. Beautiful weather here on this fine Labor Day! Who is wearing white tomorrow? Hahaha5 -
@micki48 What a fun day you had with all of your workouts! Love all the fun stuff you picked. I hear you on the no preschool covid stuff. No fun. If you guys get really bored, I found a great website called outschool they have all kids of fun zoom classes for kids. They have little camps, art, preschool etc. I did one for my daughter and was really impressed with how they run stuff.
@jugar Sounds like you had a great silly workout today too.
@ashleycarole86 Great job with the yoga. Yoga is not my thing so I am always impressed with people who do it consistently. I will not be putting my white jeans away just yet...I'm a rule breaker.
My little guy is sick and has a covid test tomorrow 😫 Seriously! He went to 2 days of school and hasn't been anywhere else. I'm just disgusted. Our state has an indoor mask mandate and my husband found out from a coworker that the new PE teacher told the kids to take their masks off. My husband has definitely been a little sad to not be home with the kids like last year. So he is ready to pull the little guy and quit his job. I am tired of the covid roller coaster but here we go again 😪 Hopefully we can sit down with the district's superintendent soon and figure this out.6 -
@conleywoods Hope his test comes back negative.. sounds so stressful what all you parents and grandparents are going through right now in terms of worries for the little ones... tough times
Exercise 09/06 - 8286 steps and 30 mins yoga
Night all! Tomorrow would have been the return to office date had it not been postponed... can't say I'm all that disappointed (minus the obvious fact that it means the world is still in shambles and so many people are having a rough time for a variety of reasons)... my wake up call would be MUCH earlier if I was commuting in.4 -

That would have been some nice countryside to traverse!
We have all set a baseline for September… let’s see what we can do for the rest of the month. I will be looking for things to celebrate as we move through the month.
Keep up the great work everyone!3 -
Tuesday Weigh-In
PW: 210.6
CW: 210.8
That's pretty frustrating. I added in evening walks the last 2-3 days so I guess I was really hoping to overcome my bad eating days on Wed/Thurs - but like they say, you really can't out-exercise poor food choices. Alas. Onto next week!
@jugar your Willy Wonka meme made me laugh. Today's Epic workout is ENTIRELY bulgarian squats for 49 min! If you all never hear from me again, the chair did me in.
@conleywoods awesome pics!! what an accomplishment.
@happimess01 you inspired me to try to find my vain side this weekend - I still don't excel at selfies but it is incredible when you get into a mood where you look at a mirror and think, "hey. looking good. " hahaha4 -
My youngest tested negative for covid! So relieved but emotionally drained.8
-
@conleywoods I'm so relieved for you!
This week has already been stressful and I didn't even work yesterday 😖. My work contract got extended to the end of October but I also start evening classes for my master's (online) and it's been an ordeal to get that bureaucratic BS sorted out. So I'm worried about keeping those balls in the air, plus maintaining my gym routine (which is necessary for both my physical and mental health).
Anyways, I'm not anticipating the greatest weigh-in this week.3 -
Uhhh had dental work done today. All I’ve had is half a cup of coffee, two pieces of raisin bread can of cola and a tiny bit of chips. My mouth is so not happy5
-
Hugs going out to all of you having a tough Tuesday - things just pile up sometimes. I hope it all smooths out soon
It has been very quiet, cool, and sunny here - the garden is slowly coming to its end of season, and I'm getting all the veggies picked, processed in whatever way they need, and put away. Still a lot more tomatoes, basil, eggplant, and chard on the way - but most everything else is done. I'm completely out of containers for the freezer
Wednesday is @EvMakesChanges (my little sister!) birthday - and weigh-in day. What perfect timing - don't forget to weigh in before any party food, Ev! I hope you have a great day
So, speaking of Wednesday weigh-ins - here is the heads up list for tomorrow:
@AshenMoon
@EvMakesChanges
@KellyBgetsFit
@MoStacy
@coramae7417
A couple of people are overdue - get 'em in! No late penalties, I promise...
@lovethyneighbor
@TessieMac833
and still due today:
@nat_meister
Thanks!2 -
@Kali225 wait who me? I never take selfies, my profile pic has been the same since ages haha. But srsly, that"s great because selfies require mad skills. I have been trying to take a decent one for 2 months now. You should start practising asap so that you are a pro by the time you reach your goal weight.4

09/07 exercise:
10148 steps
Great news about the negative test @conleywoods
Hope everything gets itself sorted soon @kellie_erin
Hope the mouth feels better soon @Emerald_Storm
Happy birthday @EvMakesChanges4 -
@EvMakesChanges Happy birthday!! Hope your day is great!!🎉🎂🎈
Did some last minute jogging in place but I made my step goal right before midnight. Lol Food is logged and under. But had dessert.
Time for bed.3 -

Dessert can be included in the total calorie count for the day - nothing wrong with that as long as you stay under! And you did - bravissima5 -
Happy Hump Day all!
@Kali225 It's official - I hate Bulgarian lunges! I had a sore butt for about 2 days after that workout!
@EvMakesChanges - Happy birthday!
@conleywoods - So glad to hear that your little man's Covid results were negative. Air Hugs for the stress that you're going through with school, though!
@micki48 - I'm with you on feeling so fed up with things. I've gone back to rationing my news intake again. I also find that I am being really mindful whenever I do a workout so that I can enjoy the time that I'm taking for myself. Your hula hooping sounds good, too!
I'm enjoying today because I'm working in the cafe tomorrow. I have a Zoom meeting this evening so Ben's cooking, but I've managed to be quite productive throughout the day, so I'm feeling happy.

"eventful cleaning the house" sounds kind of ominous. Cleaning is not supposed to be eventful - what did you find? drop? slip on? throw through the window? use to hit someone on the head?
It was one of those kind of non-event days here too. Pulling up cattail roots before the pond refills (SO exciting), more garden picking and cleaning, a cheese shredding and chard chopping marathon. I did get some music playing in, but skipped Pilates after all the root pulling - I think that was enough core work for the day! Wild thunderstorms blowing through now with dramatic lightning. Internet will be gone soon, I'll bet!
Hopefully some weigh-ins will be coming my way soon...4 -
@jugar and all: thank you for the birthday wishes! I’ve had a good day. The warm breezes were pleasant and even though many of my morning plans changed at the last minute, I had a nice dinner out at a local restaurant…first time in ages! I ate well above my normal daily quota and had chocolate cake for dessert. I’m sure I’ll work it off in the coming weeks, provided I get outside and move more than I’ve been able to in the past couple of weeks. Don’t get me wrong - I love naps but when it’s encouraged as part of the daily healing routine, it gets a little boring!
As soon as I replace my dang computer with a slightly newer MacBook Pro (hint, hint), i’ll be able to catch up with everybody's posts.
Have a great night. I’ll weigh in tomorrow.

Didn’t weigh in on Monday. We took a few days of vacation time to a nice quiet B and B in the middle of no where. No cell service. No wifi. Just relaxation.5
-
Evening all!
Started the day with a nice 30 minute yoga practice, and had a walk at lunch, but tonight was full of sewing with a friend and so my activity stalled out and I came up short. It's late, I have a busy day ahead again tomorrow, and I decided to just leave it as is rather than do anything more before bed. Sometimes you just have to be adaptable!
Exercise 09/08 -
5762 steps + 30 minutes yoga4 -
PW - 191.3 lbs
CW - 191. 1 lbs6 -
Sorry for lateness! This weight is from Monday, but I kept losing track of time to log-in and catch up on everyone's posts.
PW: 165.9

@DD265 I totally feel you on the 'finally finding this hard' concept. I'm also 8ish months in. I was definitely paying super close attention to food and getting a TON of steps in the whole time, but I was initially seeing the payoff. So it was tough, but at least I was felt successful and like results were happening. Things have slowed down a LOT recently, and that's been frustrating and led to multiple relapses. It's kind of scary how easy it is to fall into old habits and undo a bunch of good days...
As I mentioned before, I've been seesawing between 160 and 170 since May/June. Hoping to finally break into the 150s, but I haven't been feeling great so we'll see how next week goes (might be a red, sorry in advance 😬). I'm trying to summon the energy to try running again because I've stalled on that and I do think it will give me a boost.7 -

Hopefully back on track next week!

You are seriously boosting our team numbers for this week! Great job - and Brad? You ARE hitting onederland very, very soon. Party time! What are you going to do to celebrate your amazing progress?5 -
@jugar speaking of plateaus.. it's almost time for my second maintenance break of my weight loss! How exciting. For those who don't recall (and it was so long ago I'm sure most don't), I am doing a planned two week maintenance break every 16 weeks (and I'm sure I'll drop the time period between when I take them as I get to a lower weight).
So, I'll enjoy my good numbers now because I do intend to try to hold steady for two weeks... think it's a good rest period for my body. I'll also happen to be on holidays for that time, but it was just coincidence that it fell that way (lucky me!)
I have another night of sewing tonight (working a top secret surprise project for Brad) and work is kicking my butt so I know my activity is going to be low again today.. just not enough hours! But, I do not fret over this.. since I eat back exercise calories it just means I eat less, which is totally fine when I plan for it.
Have a lovely day everyone3
