Congrats @PatriceFitnessPal ! That’s amazing!3

I made it to maternity leave! It feels really, really weird to know I’m going to be a stay-at-home mom for about a year. It was a nice last day at work, even though it was way too long and I’m super tired.6

I’ve lost a little more than 40 pounds and achieved my goal weight of 125 pounds. It’s time to solidify my positive nutrition and fitness habits so I can sustain the results long term. The ‘maintenance phase’ requires lifelong application of what I’ve learned through the MFP tracking. I’m going to continue reflecting, refining, and improving!
Thanks for all your support and encouragement, especially during my final ‘push’ in reaching my weight loss goal. Now, I’m focusing on body recomposition and maintenance.
Best wishes, Shrinking Assets teammates! Let’s go!!
Congratulations, that's TOTALLY AWESOME!2 -
@PatriceFitnessPal -- What a great update! Congrats!2

This is the new horse I will probably be unable to resist. I meet him tomorrow afternoon. He's a retired racehorse and his name is Terror! Isn't he gorgeous? He's supposedly quite the ham, despite his name. I already have 2 horses, but one has an injured back (I didn't do it!) and the other's retired (first from racing and then from riding) so it would be nice to actually be able to ride again. I can afford to keep 3, as I have 9 acres and don't have to board them out, and my barn has 3 box stalls. Wish me luck! (I'm taking carrots for the meet and greet).

Super frustrated with my scale result today. Last weekend I didn't do great (nothing terrible but exceeded my calorie limit on Sunday). However, since Monday, I have had stayed well-within my caloric limit and hit my step and water goals everyday. My weight was even down on Tuesday from my weigh-in last Friday...and now a big ole gain.
I know I need to continue working to clean up my weekends, but this is very frustrating.8 -

Grateful for the loss but honestly a little surprised.
Have a great weekend everyone!6 -

There are lots of opinions about the frequency of weighing. Do whatever is going to work for you. My recommendation, is to understand why you are weighing yourself as often as you decide to and how it benefits you overall.
Personally... I weigh myself three or four times a day. I do it because seeing the regular fluctuations on a daily basis helps me accept the smaller losses or the small gains week over week.3 -

I’ve had wild fluctuations in my daily weight, and I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Monday so— fun times.5 -
Here I am, meeting Terror! He's so gorgeous and sweet, I said yes! He's going to be my new horse!
He's so handsome, he makes me look bad. And speaking of looking bad, check out the belly on me - you can see why I wish shapewear was a better option (I bought some Jockey brand shape wear, but it just rolls down to my waist!) And I still have not got my hair cut (OBVIOUSLY).
Anyway, this is the first picture of me that I have ever posted, as I don't do selfies. Laughing Terror (yes, that is his name) is a 10-year old standardbred gelding, was injured last spring, but sound enough to ride (just not sound enough to race). He's the fattest standardbred that I have ever seen.7 -
Congratulations to both of you, @chublet25 🎉🐴 🎉
How exciting! When will Laughing Terror make the move to join you? Do you have to socialize him with your other horses? 🐎🐎🐎
You both look great in the photo and I can see the strong connection. I especially love the expression in his eyes in that moment of interaction!
Enjoy the weekend! 🏇4 -

Just a little gain. Not bad considering the cookies that I can't seem to quit eating. But another week like this and I risk gaining into the 170s. Not gonna do that!!8 -
Congratulations! Terror looks like a lovely horse.2

Thanks, folks, I'm pretty excited! It'll take me a couple of weeks to get ready for him. I have stuffed his future stall with about 100 bales of hay and have no place to move them to! (hay's a buck cheaper a bale if I get it off the field, so using that extra stall saved me $100!) Also, my fences are in very bad repair. My mares never bother getting out but this frisky looking young fellow might be harder to keep inside imaginary fences! They are very accommodating at the track and have said that he can stay there forever if I decide I don't want him. But I think that we will get along very well. They've delivered him all the way from Ontario, and are going to take him the hour from the track to my place, all for only $800, and he is otherwise free. What fun! I took my black shirt off and rubbed it all over him and let my mares smell it when I got home. He is apparently good to turn out with other horses, but my old standardbred mare is pretty bossy, so I'll have to keep an eye on them. She will definitely be on a lead when he arrives, and he'll be spending nights in the barn, safe from her heels! What fun we shall have. We are going to "back him" next week at the track to see how he reacts. I confess I don't want a bucking bronco, but he's very quiet and friendly and nobody anticipates any problem. He's everybody's favourite horse!

Good morning and happy Saturday.
PW: 280

I can finally say I hit my out of the 280’s goal!!!!!!! YAY!!!!
Went for my physical yesterday. Everything went well. He did say to watch my blood pressure; it is a bit on the high side. My BP has never been on the high side. (I was stressed and trying to calm down before my visit.) He also mentioned my weight. Told him what I’m doing. He said do what works for me. Cut back on the calories and I’ll be just fine. Going for blood work next week.
This week overall was okay. I did have Jersey Mikes 3 times this week. I know it’s a bit much. My proud moments were when Jersey Mikes was for lunch. Instead of getting the regular size, I got the mini. 😊
Didn’t have chips nor soda. My husband and I have been together 20 years this week. We had JM for dinner. I had the regular size sub, a few chips and seltzer water.
Need to cut back on carbs. Slowly but surely. 😊
Have a good day everyone!!!!!!!!

Back on track. With such a big loss I’m guessing my gain from last week was mostly water weight. I was able to stay more focused this week and hit my weekly exercise goals.9 -
Does anybody else have trouble with their ticker, or with their "pounds lost" counter? First the ticker stopped working, and then the pounds lost jumped back to 2 pounds a week or two ago, and this morning it's reading 0 pounds lost! I've messaged them, got back an automated (irrelevant) reply and haven't heard from them since. The reports still work, so it KNOWS how much weight I've lost. But it sure doesn't give me any incentive to actually pay for this program. Or maybe they fix it if you pay for it. Is it just me?1

@Nature003Life do you have a chance of purchasing a blood pressure meter or borrowing one for a week or two? It’s fairly common for blood pressure to be significantly higher at a doctor’s office than at home, in Finnish there’s even a word for it that translates something like ”white coat fear”. My maternity clinic freaked out about my BP in the spring - then I got a meter that I started using frequently at home according to their advice and it’s been fine ever since. When I go for an appointment, I simply give them the last reading and they mark that down. I was adviced to measure it once or twice a week, in the morning, after at least 30 minutes of rest without anything stressful or exciting like a tv show.
I don’t know how much meters cost where you live, but I think mine was about 60-80€ and it wasn’t even the cheapest model. A worthy health investment in my eyes.4 -
Yay, @PatriceFitnessPal! Can't wait to follow in your footsteps.3

You can definitely reach your goal @coblujay! I didn’t make any drastic changes; instead, I built energy and momentum through incremental steps that led to better daily habits. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I appreciate all the supportive comments posted after my weigh in day. Thank you for adding to the positive energy of the group and continuing to inspire all of us to continue down the path. Your encouragement feels like the wind at our backs, helping all the Shrinking Assets team members move forward. Take that wind and let it propel you to your goal … or let it flow beneath your wings if you prefer to fly! 🦋 🦅 🦋 Best wishes, team!!6 -
