Well it looks like I posted two times today but the prior one is old news. 🤪We all received a daisy flower as well as a little packet of seeds to plant symbolizing that we as mothers plant seeds of God, kindness, friendship, love, etc into the hearts of our children. We had four people who were visitors that were "older" that found our church when they googled churches. They seemed interested to know more about us and God. This is exciting to see God work. The person we were to get with about the patio had to cancel today so we will be seeing him tomorrow. Our daughter should be here in the afternoon so I am putting taco soup in the crockpot to cook while we are gone to we will have something to eat later. We went out to eat today at Olive Garden for Mother's Day. I only ate 1/2 the meal and will save the rest for another day so I did not overdo on calories. Besides the flowers from yesterday, I got really nice texts from each of my children and Glenn did a handmade card for me. It is not as beautiful as Susan's but it came from his heart which makes it really special.

Judith - I am so sorry that the debrided area is coming back again so soon. I hope the call from you to Pharmacare makes a difference. Obviously you need further care if the debridement is not removing the disease as it should. I am praying that they have a tenderness somewhere in their "hearts" that realize how badly you need this new treatment. I will look forward to seeing your flowers as they grow and fill your garden.

Barb - I am sorry that Harry3 has had some falls. Sometimes when we are recovering we think we are more capable than we really are and then falls happen. It is great that he is standing up without the lift now. Is your mammogram just a yearly check-up?

Susan - I am so glad that you were able to hear from all your family for Mother's day. The hot pad and towel sound really nice and are so practical. I will have to watch and see what kinds of flower seeds the church gave me.

Praise the Lord: after MFP having connection issues with my Local Area last night I finally gained access today: God is Good:

Glad you were able to post Judith.

I'm off with Col to see what they say about why the decision was made to withdraw his support funding. It means an early morning drive in the traffic. Then I teach a card class this afternoon. ...

Linda, the picture you asked about is of my daughter and one granddaughter who live far from us, Liz and Evie. Inara is our son Shaun's and his wife Yolanda's. They are the only ones within visiting distance (a 40 minute drive). Our other son Nathan lives a two hour drive from us.

I hope your mammogram goes well, Barb.

Sorry, I must go for now.

Linda, how exciting seeing how God uses our technology with the 4 people older couples looking for Churches and more about God! It’s awesome to see how God works these days in drawing people unto Himself. So nice to receive flower seed packets as gifts for the Mothers at Church. I loved the Olive Garden, there was one near my Doctors office and I often treated myself to lunch there, the food was delicious but always generous servings that I ended bringing left-overs home. I am still waiting to hear about the medication my Oncologist wants me to have. I leave it in God’s Hands. Mother’s Day was beautiful yesterday. My daughter came for a visit and brought me two beautiful Hanging Floral Baskets. They are so pretty. The rest of my family were working yesterday, even Grandkids but I got texts and phone calls. My Azalea Bushes are in full bloom in one side of my garden and in full buds on the other side of my garden. The starter plants I planted last week look even bigger in such a short time. I am planting my Carnation starter plant later today, early evening. Pictures will come of the Hanging Baskets and will be posted on my FaceBook page for you to see.

Barb, so sorry about the recent falls Harry3 has had, read this on Linda’s post, will check out CaringBridge updates as I missed yesterday’s updates. Linda also mentioned about you having a mammogram, with not gaining access last night I missed some of the posts.

Susan, so glad you had a lovely Mother’s Day and heard from all your family. A nice gift, hot pad and towel set, it will come in handy. Enjoy my friend. Thank you for letting everyone know about the connection issues MFP we’re having in gaining access to my area. So strange as I had posted a Mothers Day image wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day and then couldn’t get back last night. So glad I got on today.

as you can see I have posted in all the threads early Monday afternoon. It’s now 2:30pm Pacific Time Zone in BC.

Have a great day my friends. God Bless…see you all tomorrow….❤️🙏🤗💐🌸

Next Monday we will try to get a hair cut and beard trim, which be nice if it be gone, if possible. We missed he lady who comes only on Mondays. So need to try next week.
sorrynshort I a, tired with a early start to my day with up at 6:47 due to mammogram at 7:45. I was to be there at 7:15.

Susan - I hope that you were able to have good traffic on your way to your appointment. I hate to be nervous about traffic then have a possibly difficult appointment following that. Maybe your visit will be smooth and they will have things all settled before you get there. That would be wonderful.

Judith - I am so glad that your plantings are already growing and thriving. Having flowers around makes me feel happy so if I were at your house, I would be giggling with delight.

Barb - I am so sorry that the schedule was changed without your agreement or knowledge. What you had was working so well. Hopefully you all can come to a consensus for what works best for all. I hope that you can find the missing pants for 3. Do they put names in the clothing? We did that in long term care but I don't know if he is staying a short stay if they do this. I know it helps me to get a nice haircut so maybe a haircut and beard trim will be an encouragement to 3 on Monday. Did the insurance agree that he should have another week at the hospital. Does the doctor feel he is ready to go home?

We spent 7 hours walking and driving today up to and on our mountain property. The landscaping man said it would be very easy to put the patio in place for our trailer. They will give us an estimate next week and he said they could start immediately. We had put concrete blocks down for where the wheels were sitting last summer but they were not very level with our uneducated try at it. They will take up the concrete blocks, even out the ground with the dirt that they have to dig up and put the blocks in a more orderly fashion with a good foundation and make a little patio for us. It is pretty dry up there since we did not get the snow they usually get. At this time of year, the ground is usually soaked but it is just damp. We saw three elk running as we drove and I saw just the shoulders and hindquarters of a brown or black bear as he was running away. He was so quick I did not get a good look at him but it definitely was a bear. We got our swamp cooler set up today. A younger friend got on the roof for us and connected it. Our children have forbid us to get on the roof anymore. It is really nice and cool with the extra humidity in the air. I know that most places can not use swamp coolers but need to have air conditioners because the air already has lots of humidity. Living in the desert as we do, humidity is appreciated anytime we can get it.

Since the grandkids and my daughter are here, I may just be here periodically or at different times. Today we made rainbow pancakes that were really pretty. I give them regular pancake batter and they put colors in them then create shapes or words. They swirled their colors today and they came out beautiful. Their syrup had turned to sugar so I put it in the microwave to turn to liquid but forgot to watch it closely. The steam built up and blew off the lid, the syrup flowed out and the plastic bottle started melting. That was not a pretty picture! There was not much left in the container so I did not loos a large amount of syrup but I was embarrassed that I had let it happen.

When we got home yesterday they were already here and my granddaughter had written me a letter while they were waiting. Here is what she said - "Dear Gma, Thank you for raising my mom the way you did. I love you so much and happy Mother's Day, Love Etta She is eleven and was named after me (my middle name is Loretta) so we have a special bond. It really melted my heart.

I notice that either MFP or my computer is now showing our icon as a nice circle rather than a long oval that it was for quite a while. Maybe they had an upgrade and things will work better. We can always hope.

What a nice Mother's Day, Linda, except for the syrup bottle! Aww, that is a lovely thing that Etty wrote. My heart would melt too. Inara also thanked me for raising her Daddy. Oh wow, a bear near your van! Shudder! I hope it doesn't get bold and cause you any trouble. I like the sound of you having a nice patio out there. I agree, getting up on ladders could be an issue especially with you having replaced hips! A friend told me yesterday that 70 years old is the cut off for climbing ladders, as she was 'spotting' me while I got something down from my pantry for her. I was on top of the ladder at the time. Lol!

Barb, I hope your mammogram turns out to be just routine. It's actually nice to hear that Harry3's issues are about lost pants and haircuts! The time of life threatening issues is over, thank the Lord. I know he still has a long road of rehabilitation ahead, but I get the sense that he is determined to get there, which is so important. I hope HH realises that she needs to ask you for help, not just take it. I know you love them all but you need some consideration, too.

Judith, I am so glad you had a good Mother's Day and that you got back onto MFP. I saw your flowers on Facebook and boy, are they nice! I actually didn't tell everyone you were having trouble getting on to MFP because you had already been able to post by the time I got on myself. Let's hope they have upgraded the program, like Linda said. It would be nice not to have so many program glitches on here.

Yesterday's meeting: traffic was pretty heavy on the way there and we had to find the building and figure out where to park. Fortunately Colin took his walker so wasn't too exhausted by the time we got up to the 5th floor of the building snd he had somewhere comfortable to sit. The chairs they had were all kinda low. We had two workers talk to us. They were polite but the records since 2020 have indeed vanished. The outcome is that we have to get the GP, Physio, OT, Neurologist and Geriatrician to resend their reports and notes, all without NDIS paying for them. I lodged an appeal for his case to be reviewed, and stated that someone in the Dept should be held accountable for this. They agreed. We were all civil, but it sure puts a strain on Colin to have lots of support then suddenly have it taken away. We did find out there is a weekly hydrotherapy session he can attend locally for $4.70 per session. He says he will register for that and start it next week. It's a bandaid but it might help him keep his muscles from tightening and spasming.

We will not get tjis sorted out for awhile but have already contacted the Physio about her notes and we are seeing the GP today.

Susan. Praying for all of Colin’s needs. That would be so, bad to have it and have it taken away. Also prayers that the drs all can get their notes sent in. Be careful when driving when the traffic can be bad. 🙏🏻

Be careful on the ladder I don’t climb ladders.

Judith. Praying for you and that you can get the ointment plus that the dead skin taken away would not grow back any prayers in the wisdom area too.

Linda. So, do you know if it has been hot in Denver or near it? It is warm here and we need rain badly. We are to be near 90* here tomorrow.
Harry 3 got extended till wednesdaynsom2 more days. They had him in a car and talk about a wheelchair. They have not practiced steps yet and they live in a bilevel.
Harry hubby fed him some he can feed himself some but is fed too so, pray for that plus it be nice if he didn’t need to be Catherine’s. His brain needs to, signal so he can empty his bladder. In Gods time I know but be nice if that be nice if it’s soon. 🙏🏻

Oh the pants got found, HH had washed them So they were not lost PTL

    Have a good day all

Linda, I saw our Group Icon Image, so nice to see the open Bible, Cross and Dove. Now when others see our Name and see our Group image they will know we are who we say we are. Indeed “God’s Amazing Grace” And yes, I agree, hope MFP have made some good upgrades for us so we won’t see anymore glitches. You sharing what your dear Granddaughter said warmed my heart also. I love the name “Etta” such a pretty name, I’m sure it has given you both a very close “Bond of Love” between you. Your Mother’s Day sounded so special for you and your Grandkids, I loved hearing how you described how you made your pancakes and how they decorated them; my grandkids did the same thing, I was at a garage sale and found a pancake pan with each well in a different shape and had a different animal in centre of it, two popular images were a Butterfly and a Bee. I still have the pan so will take a picture of it so you can see it. Sorry about the burst syrup bottle but glad you didn’t lose too much syrup!

Susan, thank you for being willing to let the team know what happened and why I wasn’t back on MFP in the evening like I had planned. I sure hope they have made good upgrades that will keep the glitches away, we sure have had our share of them. Glad you had your meeting and you will get the appeal in so you can get the process moving to recover or at least get all the reports sent in from your GP, Physio, Occupational Therapy, Neurologist. And what doesn’t seem fair, is it’s all at your cost. You didn’t lose the reports from 2020, my goodness, 5 years of lost reports. My heart goes out to you Susan and Colin. That is hard for Colin to suddenly lose all his support all due to someone losing all his Health Records. It almost makes me sick. I am also saddened that all the reports have to be sent in without NDIS paying for them. I am glad you found out about the hydrotherapy for Colin, but again he has to pay, $4.70 per session. I hope you will be reimbursed all the monies that are being paid out for getting these reports sent in. It sounds like this will take a while to get sorted out. But glad you have already contacted the physiotherapist to send in their reports. And hope your GP does the same when you have your appointment today. I will be praying for you both my dear friend.

I don’t see Barb here now but earlier but will try and come back later tonight and see what Barb has shared. I know it’s early, usually Imam logged on later at night. I am tired today so wanted to get on here as I am going to bed early tonight.

Take care all, my prayers are with you all. ❤️🤗🙏😇

Our group icon does look lovely. How nice!

Judith, how are you feeling now? I hope you are regaining your energy after the trials of the week. Yes, it is very bad what has happened with Colin's records. We were given his notes from the Physio yesterday, no charge. They are in a 1" high pile. He's going to take them to NDIS for scanning/copying and keep a copy himself. Our Dr was bewildered about how they could question Colin's needs after being in their system so long but agreed to provide her notes for free too. It will just take her a few days to get them ready. She has specialist reports on file too. So we are being shown kindness, praise the Lord. I need to write a Carer impact statement so will get onto that today. Colin found some OT reports and will add them to the pile. We'll get there.

Barb, that's great about Harry3 coming home soon. Are they going to take him home in an ambulance? Maybe the paramedics will carry him up the stairs? Wow, that's going to be an ordeal for them all. Glad the pants were found. Yes, having a catheter would be a nuisance. I hope his brain starts giving him signals about those needs very soon. It's all happening quickly now. I remember you wondering if he could go home before a year was up! Praise God for His mercies.

Linda, we're probably posting at the same time. I'm waving to you. 👋

Susan. Prayers for you and Colin. Has it gotten cooler there with it being fall? We were near 90* today here so I turned on our a/c . It’s to get cooler so hoping to turn off the A/c

Linda I hope you had a good day prayers for you and Glenn

Barb, I came on here later and was so happy to see these pictures of Harry3 working on his Physio walking up and down stairs. So sweet seeing Annabella sitting beside her Daddy as they both learned to sit. It’s awesome seeing Mariposa right there watching her Daddy walk up the stairs. You could almost hear her cheering 📣 her Daddy on. My prayers continue for Harry3 and all the family. Enjoy seeing the Grandsons tomorrow, have fun at the park with Evan Blake and Cody.

Susan, It has warmed my heart hearing the kindness of the Physio and your GP photocopying all of Colin’s Health records free of charge and its great Colin has some of the OT records and will take them in as well. God has made a way and is opening the doors providing for you in every way. It’s good to keep a copy of all these records. This must lift Colin’s spirits up seeing how his GP and Physio have stepped up like they have and provided all of Colin’s records and doing it all for Free. Praise God!

I am waving 👋 a Hi to Linda also as I guess we have posted at different times.

Tomorrow I am at the hospital for my Surgeon appointment. Going to bed early. See you tomorrow evening! Prayers for all! 🤗🙏

It has been very "cold" to us today after having it really hot last week. It barely got above 50F (10C) with occasional rain and lot of wind. Our mailbox cover was blown back on its self but did not come off. I finally got my mother's day seeds planted we got from the church. I tried to dig up the mint I had in my pot but it was so root bound I had to just throw away the dirt and start with new dirt. The mint plants were getting pretty old and scrawny. I hope there are not roots left in the pot to start growing again. It is so hard to get rid of. We put up the framed diploma's of Glenn's today since we needed to use a stepladder to put some of them up on the wall. I have a gilded mirror that I need put over the piano when we are done in the office.

Susan - I do not understand why you are expected to pay for all the papers to be resent. They were the ones that lost them. I am so glad that some people are saying they will do the copies for free. I hope the hydrotherapy can be of some help to him.

Barb - I was reading Caring Bridge and HH seemed to be quite overwhelmed several days ago with all the things that she will need to do before 3 is able to come home. I hope that there is a social worker at the rehab to help her get ready. Even with all the equipment, taking care of the girls and 3 will be hard work. We will be in prayer that things work out for the best. It was also gross to me to hear that there was mold in the straw and the water was not good. I am glad that HH was able to get that straightened out so he can have fresh water. Yesterday sounds like it was a better day for her.

Judith - I am praying for your doctor appointment tomorrow.

My daughter and kids are home so I need to talk to them about what they were able to see when they went out to the ranch today. Tomorrow we will go to the ranch to pick up the wool that was just sheared off the sheep. Our daughter takes it to a friend who makes dryer balls from it. They are dyed really beautiful colors. The wool sure does not look very pretty when it is just off the sheep. She had to washed the wool a lot to get it clean.

Linda the wool and dyes them into dryer balls sounds neat. So you were cold in the morning. We have had warm 10* above normal. We need rain again here too. May is usually a wet month and we only had one day so far of rain. We may get more rain next week. I bet Glenn’s diploma looks, nice hanging up. .

Judith prayers for all that you are going through wisdom for drs too prayers to sleep and less pain too

Susan so glad you got some of your photocopies with having to pay hope all is going well for you guys prayers for Colin

They had 3 standing by himself for a bit and more steps. We were with our daughters boys this morning. Our son, James Branson, and family coming up tomorrow. So that be nice.

It is 10 degrees warmer today but it still feels chilly. We got our swamp cooler ready to use and then with this cold streak, we are using the fireplace more than the cooler. It is supposed to be warmer tomorrow then another cold front coming on the weekend. I hope my seeds I planted can get some warm weather to sprout soon. It will not be long until I am saying how hot it is so I am trying to be grateful for this cooler weather that we have now. We went out to the family ranch where my SIL lives and picked up the wool today. We did get to spend some time seeing the animals and enjoying talking to my BIL who was recovering from 5 teeth being pulled yesterday. He is pretty sore but doing OK. I had my weigh in tonight at TOPS and I gained back the weight I lost last week. I have had extra carbs with our grandkids and my body is feeling the extra weight. Next week we will be in Westminster but it is easier to watch what I eat there.

We had a movie and popcorn night tonight. We watched a movie about what pets do when their owners are gone to work. They had quite an adventure rescuing their dog friend who was taken to the pound.

Barb - I am glad to hear 3 is standing by himself. It sounds like his balance is getting better every day. The victories that may seen small in themselves all compound each other and great strides can be seen over days. It sounds nice that your son will be visiting tomorrow.

I do not see any posting for Judith and Susan but I know God has you both in his strong hands.

    Good Evening All

I was at the hospital today and had procedures done. My Surgeon was concerned on how the Lower Face is presenting itself with the multiple tissues and excess skin forming in layers and extremely hard crusty patches. He wasn’t able to remove it all. He is away for 2 weeks so I get a break to hopefully heal from 2 weeks of procedures. I am still waiting on the Medication that was prescribed from Oncologist! Tomorrow I have to call the Clinic to check on the Date for my next CT Scan see about the decision on the med and check with other Surgeon on when he wants to follow up with me regarding issues with Lymph Nodes Mouth and Jaw. A full day tomorrow.

I am tired so heading to bed now! Good Night and God Bless you! 😴🛌♥️🙏💐🌺

Glad you are home and able to rest, Judith. I am so sorry you have to go through so much with your medical treatments. I am posting later as I took the opportunity to clean the house when Colin went out for awhile this morning. He helps me otherwise, and gets very sore and exhausted.

Linda, the weather sure sounds cool! Movie and popcorn night sounds perfect. Sorry for your poor BIL. I have gained weight this week, too. C'est la vie.

Barb, Harry3 really is making good progress, as far as I can see. Glad to hear you get to see other family this week. Yes, it is cooler here but not cold at all. The temperature is around 70 - 80+F in the day and goes down to around 50 - 60F at night. It's really my favourite time of the year.

Judith. So sorry for the pain and all that you are going through. With it being your face near your mouth so hard. Hopefully with 2 weeks off will help you. Continue prayers for wisdom for doctors.
I hope you can sleep well too 🙏🏻. Still praying you can get the ointment too very soon too.

Susan 50-60* at night sounds so good we get that tonight! Enjoy your clean house happy Saturday for you. Prayers for Colin and all too

Linda 5 teeth pulled oh my. Lots of gargling with warm salt water I assume I guess soft diet for a meal or 2 too Did you see the wool dyed too? Must be kind of neat to see Enjoy Sorry about gaining the weight I find with maintenance i go back and forth between a couple of numbers.

James son came by himself as his Kaelyn is having stomach issues and didn’t want to make the trip. He will help HH take the 2 girls to, see their dad so that is nice! I now 3 enjoys seeing them too.
He stood, walked and did some steps. He even tied his drawstring so he knows how to tie a shoe. He has the sensation.of going potty plus was in pain. I hope no UTI which he should not get with being Catherine’s. Prayers his brain can signal to empty his bladder so he won’t need to be Catherine’s. Plus get his insurance to let him stay another week.
Thank you for the prayers. I’ll send today’s PT pics. Some of them.

Barb, thank you for posting the pictures, I love the Bright Shining Face and expression on Annabella’s face. She truly “Shines for Jesus” I can see the physiotherapist, Hong Hong and Annabella are all smiling seeing all the hard work Harry3 is doing with his rehab. He is doing great. So glad James is able to help Hong Hong with taking the girls to see their Dad, sorry he had to come on his own as Kaelyn was having stomach issues, will keep her in prayer she will feel better soon. So happy that Harry3’s insurance extended his stay at the rehab until the 21st. This is good news.

Susan, thank you for your kindness and your love and prayers. So glad you were able to take advantage of cleaning the house while Colin was out, this way it kept him from trying to help you and do things that would of caused him pain that he sure does not need. You are getting some cooler temps and rain we have had here the last couple of days. But our temps have been really cold at night, like this evening it’s 47 degrees Fahrenheit and we are in May. Sure hopes it warms up.

I am tired tonight so heading to bed earlier than usual, my “being a night owl” has sure passed on. So will say Good Night, God Bless! Weekend Blessings! Be back tomorrow. Hope the rain ceases as I want to plant my tomatoes tomorrow. I have beefsteak tomatoes and 2 Cherry Tomatoes. Didn’t buy Bell Peppers.

Judith, I hope you get some warmer weather too, especially with planting out tomatoes. It will be good to have tomatoes in your garden in summer. Our weather will keep getting a little cooler but will never reach down to freezing point. I do like wi ter here as it is so mild. Here is a Brisbane average yearly temperature chart I found. You'll see what I mean about wi ters being mild!

    Screenshot_20250501_074556_Chrome.jpg

Barb, it's encouraging to see Harry3 getting stronger on the pictures. Thank you. I'll pray that Harry3 doesn't get an infection and for swift healing if he does. I'm sorry James' whole family couldn't come visit, but he sounds like he was a blessing to you all.

The Lord has purpose behind all of the pain and suffering we all go through. My dear former Pastor Buddy sent me this today, written by someone unknown, but it blessed me. Maybe it will bless all of you, too?

“I would have pulled Joseph out. Out of that pit. Out of that prison. Out of that pain. And I would have cheated nations out of the one God would use to deliver them from famine.

I would have pulled David out. Out of Saul’s spear-throwing presence. Out of the caves he hid away in. Out of the pain of rejection. And I would have cheated Israel out of a God-hearted king.

I would have pulled Esther out. Out of being snatched from her only family. Out of being placed in a position she never asked for. Out of the path of a vicious, power-hungry foe. And I would have cheated a people out of the woman God would use to save their very lives.

And I would have pulled Jesus off. Off of the cross. Off of the road that led to suffering and pain. Off of the path that would mean nakedness and beatings, nails and thorns. And I would have cheated the entire world out of a Savior. Out of salvation. Out of an eternity filled with no more suffering and no more pain.

And oh friend. I want to pull you out. I want to change your path. I want to stop your pain. But right now I know I would be wrong. I would be out of line. I would be cheating you and cheating the world out of so much good. Because God knows. He knows the good this pain will produce. He knows the beauty this hardship will grow. He’s watching over you and keeping you even in the midst of this. And He’s promising you that you can trust Him. Even when it all feels like more than you can bear.

So instead of trying to pull you out, I’m lifting you up. I’m kneeling before the Father and I’m asking Him to give you strength. To give you hope. I’m asking Him to protect you and to move you when the time is right. I'm asking Him to help you stay prayerful and discerning. And I’m believing He’s going to use your life in powerful and beautiful ways. Ways that will leave your heart grateful and humbly thankful for this road you’ve been on.” ~Unknown

5/16 Today is the last full day of the grandkids visit. It has gone fast but I will admit that I am looking forward to the quiet when they are gone. Right now the are visiting friends but will be back for dinner. We are having leftovers from the week so I do not have to cook anything. It was a little warmer today and the wind was calm. Just the right kind of day I like.

Judith - I am glad that you have two weeks off to heal from all your procedures. I hope all your calls tomorrow are positive.

Susan - great plan to do the cleaning when Colin is gone out of the house. I have done the same with the grandkids. I do things that I need to be able to concentrate on when they are not around. They are really interested in my jigsaw puzzle app on my tablet. I like it better than puzzles that are hands on. This one has the pieces in the correct position and when the pieces get close to each other, they automatically pull together with each other.

Barb - thanks for the update on the prayer thread. It is great that he is beginning to have the urge to pee. It would be healthier if they can take out the catheter.

5/17 Well I did it again. I forgot to post my message. I think I was thinking I was going to come back later and finish it but I must have forgotten.

Barb - Yes I have seen the balls. They are mostly white with strips of blue and purple wool on the outside. She puts lavender scent on them so the clothes smell nice when using them. I am amazed that she is able to get the wool so nice and white. When we see them directly off the sheep, the wool is dirty and very oily with the natural lanolin in it. The shearers throw the fleeces on the ground so there is hay and straw also in the fleece. It is a good deal for her to get the wool free then after all the work of cleaning it, she can sell it. My BIL says it is hard to sell the wool to anyone because the wool is coarse and not as soft because the sheep are white faced. The sheep with the black faces have better wool but they are not as good mothers to their babies as the white faced ones are. They like that their sheep are good mothers. I am praying that 3 will get more time at the rehab and that they will take the catheter out soon.

Susan - Your winter's are very mild according to the chart. Do you have a season that is more humid than others? The writing given to you from your former pastor was very thought provoking. It is so true that if we do not go through hard things we and the world might miss out on a real blessings.

Judith - this week, like you, have been going to bed early each night. The grandkids were so full of energy it felt like they made me tired just watching them.

Our daughter and grandkids left at 1 pm this afternoon. They had a devotional to attend at 5pm in Denver for the children that are going to youth camp in June. Now that they are gone, I hope to get back to eating healthier and not having to get up early to cook breakfast for them. This morning we had sausage gravy over biscuits. This evening we had plain hamburgers (no buns) and a large salad. Tomorrow we are having the monthly potluck after the church service. We will have an indoor BBQ with pulled smoked pork, pulled chicken and kielbasa sausages. I am taking pineapple coleslaw.

Susan. Thank you for the chart. So you never get the cold winter temps we can get here is UDA. Plus Canada.? I guess only snow on the mountains.
I Hioe you for your cleaning done when Colin was out of the house. Thank you for the unknown from Pastor Buddy. Very good thank you. I’ll try to, pull it up, in the afternoon when I am with 3 tomorrow. So good. Thank you again

Linda. I bet you will sleep, well, after having the grandkids. James has been spending the day with his brother. He and HH got to see OT. And I and James saw PT. She had him doing math which he didn’t know what 7 + 7 or 7x2 was and forgot a in the alphabet. His surgery was 1 month today. So not bad I think she had him doing, marching and kicking plus putting his fingers at a certain way.
So he still is catheterized. I hooe that comes out soon. Also, pray along that his insurance will extend his stay in rehab as he really can’t go, home. They live in a bilevel, plus with the catheder. And the girls. Well God knows.

Judith I sure hope your 2 weeks off helps with healing and you get some energy and strength back.

Nice day today , though we are needing rain. We are to get storms Sunday night and Monday. We do need the rain so I hope it’s gentle rain

James will see 3 in the morning then he will head home.
Thank you again for the 🙏🏻🙏🏻.
May you be blessed with Gods word. Susan hooe your being blessed now or already.

Barb, I am so encouraged with all the
progress Harry3 is doing, he is making great strides! Praying the Insurance will extend Harry3’s rehab for another 2 weeks so he can get stronger and be able to manage stairs; also praying the catheter will come out quickly, it’s encouraging Harry: is getting the urge to empty his bladder.

Linda, glad you have enjoyed your grandkids visit. Yes kids do make us tired but it’s such a blessing having our grandkids with us. All week I had gone to bed early like you but early evening I fell asleep for an hour so I am up late tonight. You mentioned you were making pineapple coleslaw, I have never had that kind of coleslaw. Can you share the recipe with me please, thank you.

Susan, thank you for sharing the chart of the temps you have in the winter months. Yes I can see you get mild weather as we get the colder climate but not as cold as northern BC or Eastern Canada which gets the Bitterly cold freezing temps. The writing you shared from Pastor Buddy was really thought provoking and it really touched me. Thank you for sharing.

It’s late now so this gal is heading to bed. Good Night 😴 all! May your Sunday Services be blessed! God Bless you! 🙏🤗📖✝️

So it looks like, 3 & HH church are going to.fix his lower half bathroom so, it works plus get rid, the belongings storage kind of in the big room there so 3 can go there. So his is big and nice of their church to do this for them. That way he can be home & do sponge baths. So PTL

Linda. Hope you recovered from the grand kids in the sleep department. They are fun bit do tire us put.

Judith continue prayers for you and your healing. Having 2 weeks off I pray hepls a lot with your healing. Are you sleeping ok?

Susan. I hope you had a good day and continue prayers for Colin

We are to get storms tonight and then tomorrow afternoon. We need the rain & then cooler temps. So maybe we can give the a/c a break. Prayers not to severe.

Harry 3 will be seeing his surgeon with Harry hubby & HH tomorrow morning. Plus he is to, have a haircut and shave. Then his usual therapies too, so he will be tired when I see him in the afternoon.
Have a good eve and day.

Hello everyone. Glad to see you are all doing alright. I loved the Unknown from Pastor Buddy. He is the one who I asked prayer for who was not expected to live after collapsing at church but he is almost back to full strength! He knows about adversity. I really hope you can read it to Harry3 and Hong Hong, Barb. Judith and Linda, you also face so much. I was thinking of Marilyn and JC too.

Yes, our temperatures in winter are mild. The summers are the humid times and the heat is prolonged and significant. I have.lived in far northern Canada and also in Washington state plus California, so I know what your cold is like. We never get that kind of cold in Brisbane, but Tasmania gets pretty cold with snow and ice, and mountains in the southern states here also get cold and snow. I believe Sydney has an outdoor skating rink, biut not Brisbane. Ice would never form here. The worst we get is frosts.

Uke this morning and later, Starlight Singers.

We had an indoor BBQ today at church for potluck Sunday. We talked about gratitude and spent quite a bit of time with some visitors that came for a second Sunday. They said they loved how friendly we are and that we are small. We hope to get to know them better. They also came to our Tuesday evening Bible study but we will be in Denver for the next two Tuesdays so the Bible study is canceled. I washed a lot of clothes today in preparation for packing tomorrow. I still need to do the sheets and towels so we can come back to a clean bedroom and bathroom. It has been raining on and off today. Multiple times of not much rain does eventually add up so that is what I am hoping. A friend asked me to make her some elasticized bowl covers so I cut them out today but will sew them next week with my daughter's sewing machine. My friend does not like to use anything disposable so the covers work well for her for leftovers. Since they are cotton, I do not know if the food dries out in her refrigerator when she uses them though.

Barb - praying for Harry3 bladder to respond. I hope this is not offensive to ask if he is having problems with his bowels also. Sometimes those two go together. Some more time in the hospital seems reasonable to ask the insurance company but since I have worked with insurances a lot, I know that each disease or surgery is given a certain number of days that are expected to be used. Having a baby was given a week many years ago but now it is 24-48 hours depending on any trauma or if it is a c-section. I pray that the doctor is able to appeal to the insurance showing them that there are extenuating circumstances and that he needs more time than is normally allotted. Now that the stairs are not a problem, maybe It will not be a big an issue if they do not give as many days as it was thought he needed. It is great that the church is helping with the remodel of the bathroom and there is a large room for Harry3 to use without need of climbing stairs. HH will still be busy caring for him as well as for the girls but at least the stairs problem is solved.

Susan - It is great news that Pastor Buddy has recovered so well after the doctors were saying he was terminal. It just shows that God is much more powerful than man's knowledge. He has the number of our days already planned out. I always rejoice when I hear that the doctor's opinion is overturned by God and people are healed.

Judith - I hope you got the rest of your plants in your garden. The vegetables will be so delicious in the Summer. I will see if I can post the recipe for the Hawaiian Cole Slaw. I got if off the internet so it should be easy to cut and paste. I did not put the onions in it and changed the brown sugar to honey when I made it. It seems everyone liked it.

Goodnight to everyone. I need to get up early to wash and dry the sheets before we leave as well as pack and mop the kitchen floor before we go. I hope you have a blessed week.

    Evening Hello Everyone,

I was on the phone regarding upcoming medical appointments all Friday morning and now I have several appointments booked.
I am at VGH for 2 appointments: First with my Gynaecologist Tuesday June 3 @ 1 pm. Second @ the Cardio Lab and then follow up with my Cardiologist Tuesday June 3 @ 3pm June 12 @ VGH Follow up and procedures with Facial-Cranial Surgeon 9am to 12 Noon! June 26 @ VGH with Facial-Cranial Surgeon, Follow up and Procedures. 9am to 12 Noon.

“Came back to edit” my medical appointments: June 9th @ 1:00pm appointment at VGH with Head and Neck Surgeon regarding the Ultrasound I had on Lymph Node and Lymph Gland to discuss results.

I am waiting on my CT Scan and Dental Oncology that was ordered by my Neurologist and my Follow up with my Oncologist regarding the med he has ordered that has not yet been approved.

Barb, this is great news the Church is looking after the main floor bathroom to make it into a half bathroom so Harry3 can use toilet there and wash at sink. The big storage room they will clean out so Harry3 has a place where he can rest when he comes home. Hope the appointment Harry3 has with Hong Hong and your Husband Harry seeing his Surgeon and then having a haircut and shave, a full day for Harry3. I am praying the Insurance will be extended for another 2 weeks so Harry 3 can get stronger and better prepared for going home.

Susan. You sure have milder winters in Brisbane and your summers are quite humid and hot. By the looks of the chart you left our winters are colder but not as cold at the temps back east where I lived before moving to BC. What Your Pastor Buddy wrote was such a blessing for all of us. Hope you enjoyed your Starlight Singers practice and your Ukulele practice today!

Linda, I saw you on here earlier but have missed you now. It’s probably time change.

I’m off to bed now. Good Night and God Bless! 😴🛌🙏🤗😇
