We were one degree off of 90F today. There was a nice breeze so it did not seem as hot either. As I am looking at the long range temperatures we will be in the 90+ all week until Saturday then it will be 100F (37.7C) and Sunday when we have out picnic in the park for Father's Day, it will be 101F (38.3C). It will be good that we have a shelter to be inside but still it will be hot for the men who are cooking the burgers and hot dogs. As long as the humidity stays low, it does not feel at hot as when it is more moist. Yes, our swamp cooler will get a workout all week. After church one of the visitors that we have been building a friendship with invited us and another couple out to lunch and paid for it all. He loves to talk and gets lonely sometimes. He has had some seminary training so he and Glenn can sometimes get very deep in discussing scriptures and the rest of us just listen. It really was interesting to hear what he had to say about the last days, rapture, Nephilim (giants in the Old testament), etc. He is not disturbed if someone has a different opinion which is good. Glenn is good to ask the rest of us if we have opinions which is good also.
Barb - I have a Fahrenheit to centigrade calculator that I downloaded from Google that helps me know what the temperature is in Canada and Australia. I am so glad that 3 is able to get outside with you. I know he must get tired staying inside the rehab facility. I am hoping that after HH talking to the new rehab place that Tuesday will be the day that he moves. I am glad that you are getting an MRI of your breasts since you have a history of breast cancer in the family. Wednesday looks like a very busy day for you.
Judith - praying for your doctor visit tomorrow and that you will stat cool as you travel. It is nice you have a portable fan to take with you to help with the heat. Our garage sale was not for a specific cause. Our whole neighborhood once a Summer has a garage sale for anyone who wants to participate and they give out maps for people to know who is having a sale. There were four of us who did it so everyone just took what they earned. I told my daughter to keep what ever I made since I was not able to help and I really did not want anything back.
Susan - hoping that Barry and Sharon feel better soon. How is Colin feeling with his cold. It sounds like he really enjoyed taking a shower. It is hard to get my head around that you have such beautiful flowers when you are in winter. I know you do not have the cold temperatures that we have during our winters but that is all that I know about. Winter equals cold and freezing to me. Are people able to grow vegetables and fruits year around?

Judith. So Victoria being by the ocean is cooler than you. Praying for you as it’s to early to,have a heatnindex so early we may have it Wednesday day but only one day of it. So glad you have the a/c.
Do you have the humidity too? We get thats it can be awful. Praying I keep telling myself that hell is hotter & no a/c.
aundrea, social worker doesn’t know if a move. Please keep praying. The social worker feels that it being a Neuro rehab could fine tune 3.
Harry told me that his glasses are more for driving as he use to drive than read, and the contacts are not though not much difference. He needs to see a neuro eye Dr. the place gave him a bpdrs name so maybe. He had his contacts in again but had not shaved. He needs to do that tomorrow. As he has a 3 day beard on him.Praying for you as you see the drs and the heat Judith.
Susan. Hope you hear some biopsy news for Colin soon. Plus hopefully some good news.
How did the practicing if the UkeI go? You are talented able to play that and the flute. So neat.
praying for Lyn Barry and Sharon too
Linda. So did you have another hot day too prayong for you. Our wind is switching from the south so, hence warmer temps. Prayong for all of us with summer coming.Marilyn it was Monday so hope you did ok with dialysis and you have 2 more this week. Prayers

We hope to get our deck painted tomorrow. Our handyman will paint it. I got the chairs and plants off it. I’ll sweep it tonight or inthe morning.
So hoping 3 gets moved tomorrow guess God knows and we prosy and Hioe God knows what is best for him all with insurance and all He is making good progress but needs more with balance and allIn OT he wrote his signature and it was good now numbers are harder so thats coming he wrote his daughters bdays & their address they will come
Prayers for all0 -
Judith, thinking of you and praying about your upcoming appointments. Glad you have strategies for keeping cool! Yes, we do have a concert to do on June 21st, your first day of summer. Rehearsals are ramping up. I'll sing, play flute and also play Ukelele this time. It's a dance night and a fundraiser for the Artistic Seniors group.
Barb, you'll have to show us when your plant blooms 😃 I have a couple of orchid spikes that haven't opened yet, so will keep a watch and show you when they bloom. Glad to hear Harry3 is improving daily. He's amazing!
It's cool here and crisp today. Our winters are really nice. It is snowing down south this week but it rarely snows here.
Colin got his test results back and was given the all clear! Praise God! He has his stitches removed tomorrow. Barry and Sharon said they are starting to feel better and their fevers are gone. Praise God! Lyn is resting after going to a caravan and camping show. Praise God!
I am teaching today. I'll post photos tomorrow....

Susan
My orchid only has leaves. If you like a picture I can send you one tomorrow.
prayers for all.
Oh the rehab is giving 3 more food he’s down to 137 lbs,my weight and he’s taller. He was 140 lbs when he got there. So he’s getting more food so,thats good he weighed 165 lbs back,in April before his surgery.
So I’m glad he’s getting more food.
3 doesn’t think there will be any move tomorrow. I pray for best place for, his healing all in God’s hands1 -
I’m sorry all no texting tonight; been quite a day, I’m not doing well tonight, so nauseous: feeling really sick, taking meds and going to bed! Will update you tomorrow! Thanks for praying!
1 -
Today was a day to finish projects and mop the floor for our Bible study group tomorrow. I am feeling like I accomplished all that I wanted to do. The problem being that as I get older, there is less that I want to do so saying "all that I wanted to do" does not mean much some days. LOL We did go exercise at Planet Fitness and I got my workout done.
Susan - Great news from your posting. Colin's biopsy is especially good to hear. I am sure you are both so happy. Did he do a lot of things out in the sun when he was younger making his susceptible to skin cancer? I am glad that Barry and Sharon are feeling better and that Lyn feels well enough to go to a caravan and camping show. Are you planning on any caravan/camping trips in the future? We need to take our camper up to the mountains but we still have not heard back from the man who said he would do our patio up there. We may just go ahead as we did last Summer and keep using the pavers although they are not very level.
Barb - Great news about 3 being able to sign his signature and HH said he could tie his shoes now. Slowly he is gaining back function that he lost. I hope that he can gain back the weight loss he lost also. I am sorry that the date to move to the other rehab facility is still in limbo. What color are you having your deck painted? We are forecast to have temps in the 90's all week. Today was 92F (33.3C) and it is supposed to get warmer as the week progresses.
Judith - I am so sorry that you are feeling so nauseous today and not doing well. Rest well my friend and we hope to hear from you tomorrow or whenever you are feeling better.

So 3 has not been moved the social worker says that his insurance and the Neuro are getting close to agreeing on a price. Pray. Please. Harry 3 is getting tired of where he is only one other person has been there longer than him. I told him if he fell his parents HH or Amy could not pick him up. I’m readin the book, “The Red Sea Rules.” Today it was about waiting on 5he Lord. Stay calm and confident giving God time to work. Easier said than done.
Deck is painted. Redwood. I always paint it that color. We are using Lowe’s Cabot correct as it fills in the cracks on our deck. Good paint.
We were 83* today and tomorrow it’s to be 90 or 89*. Praying as it’s hot for most but Susan I guess. Our humidity will add to the heat index and thats hit. I’m sure juspdig and others have that plus the low is not cooling us off. I know it is hotter south of us like in TXSusan. Such good news on Colin PTL. Glad to, hear that Barry and Sharon are feeling much better too. It will take some time, to get a bloom on my orchid, as I have no flower stem maybe next year? The flowers take along time to bloom I find.
How did the teaching go? I’m sure you did good and all enjoyed it.Judith. Praying for you and healing and that you can sleep so, healing can come.
Linda I find it takes me longer to get house and work done too then there is always waiting till tomorrow maybe to do, it.
So glad you got your exercise in that’s always good.Marilyn prayers as it’s a dialysis day for you tomorrow.
Prayers stay well.

Yes, Barb, you are all in the heat and we are in the cold. I still love winter here. It's a welcome relief from the heat and humidity. And it does feel cold to us but rarely freezing. Orchids often take their time blooming. Mine are getting ready to bloom. I bet yours never bloom in winter there but they often do here. I sure hope and pray Harry3 gets an answer about his rehabilitation centre soon.
Judith, so sorry you are exhausted and knocked around by your heat. Glad you will take some time to rest and recover. I hope the news from yesterday's appointment was OK. I know you will let us know when you can.
Linda, yes, Colin worked outdoors for a lot of his working life. Our sun here is very strong. So even though he wore hats/caps/helmets, the sun still did some damage. I had a cousin from Oregon visit once and she didn't believe me about the strength of the sun. She was determined to get a sun tan and lay out in it in the most dangerous UV time. 😳 She got well and truly burnt. Colin often didn't have the luxury of shade. He has been in so much pain lately he is really only awake in the mornings. He takes strong painkillers and sleeps the afternoon and nights away. We can't plan a trip away for now. We need to get him back to having regular physio, which isn't happening right now. Every day I find out more people's NDIS funding has been cut. I'm beginning to think we won't win our fight to get Colin's funding restored. The government is seemingly going broke. Colin's shoulder tendon tears are also making it difficult for him to even get dressed (I often help him) so I don't want him trying to manhandle the caravan on and off the hitch, set up dog pens, awnings, etc...
On a lighter note, we girls had fun at yesterday's card class. Colin is used to our chatter and laughter so sleeps anyway. I am teaching another class tomorrow. You have seen the cards I taught the girls yesterday so I will show you the new designs I'm teaching tomorrow instead:
1 -
Our temperature was the same as yesterday but we did have more cloud cover which was nice. We had our usual Bible study groups but the attendance was less than usual. Some people were on vacation and others were working or had appointments. Although I missed those who were not there, sometimes a smaller group allows for more discussion.
Susan - As usual, your cards are so pretty. I am sorry that the NDIS funding is cut. We have had some cuts in several areas here too. Maybe the other fund for aging people will have more money. There was talk about so many of us "baby boomers" starting to get social security that the next generation will not have any money left in that fund. The retirement age has been changed to 67. When my Dad retired it was 62 and it was 66 when I retired.
Barb - It is about time that the insurance gets to have an agreement on paying for 3 to be able to move. It is paying now for where he is staying? It the other place more expensive and that is why they do not want to pay it? Is the Lowes paint only for patio's? Our siding has cracks and it would be nice it we could use that to fill in the cracks in there.
Judith - praying that you can take some nourishment and that the nausea has subsided. Do you think it was from the hot weather or something else? Please rest well and take you time getting back on here.
Marilyn - Praying that each day of dialysis is a little easier and you feel more energized from the toxins being removed from you body. How much water weight have you lost?

Thank you all for your kindness and your love and prayers. I felt better by this afternoon. Rested most of the morning and even went back to bed and slept for few hours. I posted a detailed update on the Prayer Thread so will let you read that.
Barb, I am so sorry Harry3 has not been moved to the Neuro-rehab yet but happy you learned that the Insurance was getting closer in agreeing on a price. Hope they do this quickly. Praying for this to be arranged for Harry3. I am happy you got your Deck painted, I too love the Redwood and Lowes Paint is excellent to us as it covers well. Maybe you can send us a picture of your finished deck. Your Book you are reading; The Red Sea Rules, thanks for sharing about it.
Susan, praise the Lord the report came back as clear for Colin’s biopsy. Good News to hear. I am so sorry Colin is in so much pain with not getting any help. My heart goes out to him. I wish NDIS would give the Funding back so Colin would get the help and treatment he needs. I understand that you both would not be going away with all that needs doing with the Caravan. My prayers are with Colin and with you Susan. The pictures of your cards you will be teaching the class are beautiful. I love them. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your next class you are teaching.
Linda, you asked about the nausea and me being sick when I got home. Think it was the stress and heat that got to be. I posted an update on our Prayer Thread to see what’s going on with me. Sorry there wasn’t as many out for your Bible Study as usual, perhaps it was a combo of heat and ladies being away on vacation. Hope your weather cools down for you. It seems we both are having the same temps of 92++ Degrees Fahrenheit! I am glad I have AC which helps. Tonight I watered my garden and they sure were thirsty, couple plants looked a little wilted but did revive once watered!
It’s late so this gal is off to bed! Good Night All. 😴🙏🤗

3 time. It maybe short.
Judith. Prayong for you. Somglad the drs are keeping a close eye on you. Hank you for posting a prayer link about its ll prayers. How you keep your dates smtraiight. I guess you are very organized. Prayers.Susan. So glad Colin had a clear biopsy. Now praying for the NDIS. Prayers it can work out for, you. I know as you get old seems like, there is less money all the time. Sorry about that o trips maybe sometime.
so is the UV rays close all, year long as where Australia is on the earth? Prayong you don’t need any skin cancer.
I hope your today maybe card class went well too the cards look like fun I’m sure many enjoy them.Linda. Sorry less for the Bible study but with school out ,Aubrey traveling we don’t have the ladies Bible studyndurong the summer with kids out of school. Prayong for your heat. We were near 90 but not too bad. There is a chance of rain which would be nice we get it. Harry got the grass cut so any rain will be nice.
So today I saw the dentist Probably abscess so I need too have a root canal. Probably due to a fall I had in Elementary school on the monkey bars. My teeth were o loose I ate soup with a straw. I also, killed a nerve on a front tooth that now has a bridge. It had root canal several years ago. My dentist thinks that my damage was asleep and woke up now, I see the endodontist next week.
i also had a ultrasound on my breast. I have dense breasts so I will need to have a mammogram and ultrasound yearly. That was negative too so that is good.
pill tkae pic of deck after I send this as I rather not do, this 4 times.
prayers for all and Marilyn too0 -
We have the Joy just older youth group tomorrow at church. I made a ez tortilla bake. All made but baking it tomorrow. Our deck,is so all but so is our house.
The wet spots are from watering I was standing at the other end. Flowers are all around the deck. The deck faces SE.

OOh, The deck looks lovely, Barb! What a nice place to sit outside. Bet it looks great with all your plants. Yes, the UV index is always pretty high year 'round here. My work was usually in an office or classroom so I didn't get a lot of sun exposure in my life, but Colin did. Say hi to 3 for us. Our church is still praying for him.
Judith, thank you for your kindness. I will go read your prayer update soon. I am just grabbing a quick bite of lunch before my card class ladies arrive. I think I am almost ready for them! I need to get my paper trimmer put out but everything else is here, I think. I'll show you how I set up:
I sit on the far right to teach. All my new cards and product is on display on the far left kitchen counter. Here's a close up of this month's display:
Linda, I think you are right about the number of Baby Boomers being a challenge for governments but they have had warnings for over 70 years and we did all contribute or support someone who contributed. It makes me sad that the government has spent the Social Security money as there should be heaps in there to cover us all. Why did we contribute all our working life otherwise? Yes, there is no csp on retirement age here now. You can work asi long as you want to/need to. If you can find a job, that is. Sigh. It's a tough time sometimes but I am thankful to own our home, car and caravan. We just cannot afford the cost of health insurance and treatments, as I am sure would also be true for over there for many. Colin has a health insurance policy for himself but I do not. I just pray I don't get seriously ill. It's a big topic, isn't it. Hugs to you for living through it too.
Better be off. My card class ladies arrive pretty soon. They help me fund my craft addiction with their class fees and orders but their friendship is far more valuable to me!

Barb, sorry about the abscess tooth, and needing a root canal, hope your appointment with the specialist next week goes well, will he do the root canal. GlD they keep a close watch on you with having the dense breast tissue. Good news that both the mammogram and ultrasound came back as a good report. Love the picture of your Deck, very nice. Your yard looks lovely. Your tortilla bake sounds good, the Joy Youth group will enjoy I am sure. Our Church is like yours Barb, we close done the groups Bible Study and other activities with school out the Mom’s are busy with kids all summer. We have a closing Luncheon for the groups who are having their last day breaking for the summer holidays. Everyone brings a dish hot or cold to share. We have lovely fellowship and close in prayer. Our groups finish week of the 16th of June and return right after Labour Day in September. Our Schools are out last week of June, around the 25th!
Susan, Thank you for sharing the pictures of how you set up to teach your class. Love it. Great idea how you have a table set up in front of your Kitchen Counter, here in Canada we call that raised counter a “Kitchen Island” often used for Food Prep, Buffet Table or anything you need an island for! Love the Display of the New Cards and the Products you have for the Ladies to see and get ideas for the cards they will make. I am sure your class will go well. Look forward to seeing all the Cards the Ladies will make in your Class today!
Thanks everyone for your prayers and your kindness. And your comments left on Prayer Thread regarding the Updates I posted last night! Tomorrow I am back to my Surgeon and Friday I see my Oncologist.
So I am calling it an early night. Will see you tomorrow when home from seeing the Surgeon. Good Night God Bless! 😴♥️🤗

Our temperatures are heating up this week. It was a high of 96F (35.5C) and a low of 76F (24.4C). When we were out walking, the black pavement felt like the heat was radiating up from it onto our legs. I had a webinar early this morning so since it was zoom, I just dressed from my waist up and left my pajama bottoms on because I was in a hurry to get dressed. Glenn had a friend come over to talk and said they would be in his office. The gentleman was early and I did not have time to get to the bedroom to dress appropriately. I was thinking they would close the door but they did not so I was stuck in my office for two hours until he left. Glenn's office door is almost across from our bedroom so if I tried to sneak in there to get dress, they would have seen me. I did get a lot done office wise but I had wanted to do things in the rest of the house too. Next time I will ask him to close the door or I will just dress all the way like a normal person would.
Barb - I am sorry about you needing a root canal for your abscess. That was a long time after your injury that it decided to "wake up". Great news that the ultrasound of your breast came out normal. You were talking about the UV index being high for Susan. Ours is high when we go up into the mountains. The air is thinner and we are closer to the sun. It takes just minutes without sunscreen and a bad sunburn can develop. We probably are not as close as Susan but there definitely is a difference from being in town and in the mountains. HH posted really cute pictures of the girls helping their Daddy. I am glad he gets to spend time with them this way since he can not go home yet.
Susan - You have a very impressive set up for your card classes. I am sure the women enjoy the friendship that goes along with the classes. I agree with you that since we paid into Social Security, there should be money for us to use. We are not going to live as long as we did when we were paying it in. We have Medicare part A for our health insurance. It does pay really well. I did not have to pay anything for either of my hip replacements which were quite expensive. We do have to pay for Medicare part B which is to pay for doctor visits and medical supplies and then we have a Supplemental insurance that pays for what Medicare does not pay. The Supplemental is getting expensive but so would it be if we did not have it.
Judith - We still keep having our Bible studies during the Summer months but we are a group of people who are older and do not have children to care for. Once a month we have a fellowship time in a park where we can bring picnic lunches if we want and the kids have a good time playing on the playground. Your schools let out a lot later than ours do. Our kids were out the last week in May and go back the last week in August. When do your children go back to school since they go longer than ours do to begin Summer break? Praying for all your appointments. I assume you have a place to keep track of all of them so you do not miss any. Do you have insurance in Canada or does the government pay for what you need? It is good news that your lymph nodes are looking good. I am glad that they will keep a close watch on your lymph and salivary gland.

Here is our house south east view with the deck, rose garden, veggie garden along driveway.
Susan. Your card making is so cool,in your kitchen thank you for sharing. Praying for you and Colin and health of you both. It’s neat that you have examples as I find so many people are visual learners like me. We have life insurance for both of us. Harry is still working so,he has that plus we GP have it through tour insurance company too.
Linda. Sorry about the heat. Guess we are getting it too I hope we get some more rain we have cloud cover but some of that is the fires from Canada.
Our kids are done with school in May too they start in August like by the 9 so early August. Out east they go to mid June or so and start closer to Labor Day. That is what I remember now we have to have the first semester over by December so before Christmas they have finals, the kids do better that way then doing it in January so all the schools have a/c to help
Judith praying as you see more drs today wisdom, prayers for you as you go through all, of this. May you feel God’s arms around you. A busy next 2 days also, praying for any pain and that you can sleep too.In the pics that are on caring bridge I am in the background I had a light pink top,on and you can see that amynt9ok the pictures 3, almost fell in PT as the dr and PT teacher were talking, and he thought he could stand and take a step to,the walker no 3 like to, go home tired of the same place and 2 patient been there the longest maybe tired of the same walls pray the rehab comes through soon I know he like to go, home but with falling we can’t have that. My dentist told me that balance takes the longest to heal As for the abscess, I have no pain, no cavity on the tooth should be an easy fix. Not sure why it woke up but monkey bars are bad, and I’m fell on blacktop now playgrounds have cushions of some sort,
Have a good day all

Good morning. We will be out with friends today so I need to make a shorter post.
My house has one room for kitchen, dining and living room. The picture I posted is the dining and kitchen part. Behind ne is the lounge area and I push our furniture forward when I have people over to craft. I guess it's a multifunction room. I pack everything away after classes so we can eat at the table. My craft room is a small bedroom with no room for extra people to craft in! Lol! The cards were lovely yesterday.
Linda, your adventures on Zoom with pyjamas made ne smile! I would probably have done the same thing! And I would have felt trapped too! Love it.
Barb, I hope the dentist does a really good job for you so your old injury is totally repaired. Love the picture of your house. I'll take another look at 3s latest photos to see you in your pink dress.
Judith our school year runs from the end of January to the beginning of December. Summer break is 6 weeks which is Dec-Jan. I know that's hard to think about, but we do live in opposites with our seasons. Amazing, hey.
I must run. Take care, everyone.
1 -
Susan
I am in an Old Navy top that is light pink. Your cards are lovely. So, neat to,have a multi functional room. Well make it that way.
Linda. I also have supplemental Medicare. Harry hubby still works so I have my glasses and dentist with him
Harry 3 MOVED TODAY. I’ll send the 2 pics of his room that I took. One of the ladies there is a sister in the Lord. The grounds are lovely with rolling hills. The place use to be a mansion and they converted it. Only 11 patients and all have brain injury. So that’s good.
God is good!!!0 -
Another hot day. The car temperature said 100F but it usually is a little high. It definitely was 97F or more. There was a very small shower that cooled things off a bit. I lost 2 pounds this week at the TOPS meeting which was good. I am down to what the doctor originally said I should be but has agreed to have me loose another 5-10 pounds to get my triglycerides and A1C down. Tomorrow I will have a lot of eating out so I must be careful. I am taking a friend out for her birthday at Red Lobster (her choice) and then eating at a friend's house for dinner.
Barb - Yea, 3 is finally where he belongs. I am so pleased that it is only 5 minutes from their house. He will be able to get the care he needs to be able to be the Daddy and husband he wants to be. The room seems to be more homey than a hospital. Having a small amount of patients helps them give special attention to each of them. What a relief for all of you. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your outside. I would love to have a lot of outdoor space like you do but then I think what we have is just fine. I do not have the energy to do a lot of outdoor work at my age.
Susan - the cards are lovely. It is interesting to see even though it is the same basic picture, how different they are from each other. It allows the women to express themselves through crafts. Thanks for clarifying the school schedule. Yes it is very different than we are. We have 3 months off for the Summer.
Judith - praying for your appointments. I hope it was not as hot as it was earlier this week.

Sorry all this is short as I have an appointment at Cancer Clinic tomorrow.
Barb, loving backyard and house, you keep it lovely. I’m so happy Harry3 is where he should be, so happy he has a lovely room and windows to look out, it’s nice you met a fellow Sister in Christ at the Home. It will be so nice Harry3 will get the care he needs there so he can be home soon. Love the Vancouver shirt Harry3 is wearing in the picture. My prayers continue for you and your family.
Susan, your home is like what we call an open concept, seems to be popular here. My daughter and family have a large house but have kitchen dining room and family room as open concept but the other rooms are spread over 3 floors. Love the cards that were made. Thanks for sharing. My prayers continue for you and Colin.
Linda, congrats on the 2 pounds you lost, keep up the great work. Yes your weather has been hot like we had last week but now last few days it’s been cooler. Our school holidays for the summer are from end of June to day after Labour Day weekend. They get Pro-D days, Christmas and Easter holidays each year.
I will update everyone tomorrow night for my last two appointments from today and tomorrow. Good thing about tomorrow my appointment is anafternoon so I get to sleep in tomorrow. Yay me!
Good Night All…😴🙏🤗❤️

Judith I hope all goes well with your cancer appointment. Glad you will be better rested for it. Yes, our home is what we call openness plan and it is all on one floor. We have our bedroom at the front and a guest bedroom at the back as well as my craftroom. There are two bathrooms, a laundry and a walk in pantry. Our garage is supposed to be a double garage but is more like 1 1/2 spaces. The yard is tiny, only 1m wide on the sides and 2m wide at the back. It's enough!
Glad you all enjoyed the cards.
Linda, congratulations on your weight loss and wow on hitting that goal! 👏 Losing another few pounds hopefully will help you with your health goals. You're amazing. 😃
Oh, Barb, what a beautiful place the rehab centre is. 😍 I'm so glad for Harry3! Thank you for the pictures. I hope he gets what he needs there so he can go home as soon as possible. Is the house closer to you as well?
We're celebrating two of our grabdchildrens' birthdays today, ages 17 and 16.

I had some problems checking in Google was blocking me. Crazy.
Linda. So glad with 2 lbs lost prayers as you continue. That’s nice you got a F* & C *adjuster. I don’t have one sorry.
We are getting the heat as it’s to be a warm weekend and week. I guess summer is here.Harry 3 rehab was to have a pizza party tonight so I’m sure he enjoyed that. No therapy on weekends, which the other rehab did a little on Saturday. He can and will try to,do as ,u h as possible with his own wash. Plus any activities he enjoys. The grounds are very nice.
Praying he can get his balance, the cyst gpes away and maybe he needs to see a Neuro ophthalmologist, HH was given a name not sure if she contacted him. His glasses may be 20 years old and contacts a year so he needs that. That may help with his balance we are not sure.Susan. I hope the birthdays went well. Congrats. Many prayers continue for you and Colin.
Judith So, glad you got some sleep between the 2 Dr visits. Prayong for all involved especially wisdom for the doctors and healing for you.
Thank you all for the prayers for 3. He love to go home and balance he needs so, he won’t be a hinderence& not fall and can help with the girls.
Have a great weekend.0 -
I went out to eat twice today so I am afraid that my pounds I lost may be partially back on. I took a friend out for her birthday for lunch and I got a chicken Caesar salad and only ate 1/2 so that should be OK. For dinner we went to our friends house with another couple. It was a healthy meal and then we played the game "Tic-Tack-Know" which was a game of Biblical trivia game. The scales will tell me tomorrow if I over indulged.
Judith - I am glad that you can sleep in a bit tomorrow before you have your appointments. I hope the weather is cooler for your trip to the Cancer clinic.
Susan - We also have an open concept house with the kitchen, dinning room and living room all open. I like the space to have people over but I do not like the idea that people coming into the front door can see directly into the kitchen area. I certainly do have to be careful about leaving things on the kitchen island and to have the dishes washed and put away. Our three bedrooms are down the hall so I just keep the door closed to the rooms. Glenn has one bedroom as his office with one whole wall with just his books. The guest bedroom also serves as my office. It is a bit crowded but it works. We also have two bathrooms.
Barb - I am so glad that 3 is getting the care he needs and he is enjoying his new surroundings. Hopefully it will not be long until he comes home. I have forgotten when his cyst is located. I pray that his balance improves so when he goes home he will be safer.

Linda Harry 3 cyst is on his vocal cord so he has a soft voice. With the 2 girls growing up he needs a loud voice.
His vision, as he has old prescriptions in glasses and contacts. So seeing a Neuro, ophthalmologist might help with that. HH may need to make an appointment with the rehab helping with transportation maybe.0 -
Good Morning All,
So sorry I didn’t get back here last night but after 3 appointments this week it proved to be too much. As you can see I came on this morning posted in all threads filling in most for Friday I had Tracked but not posted. Will fill in Saturday’s later. You have your Devotions and Bible reading for today. Feeling better this morning. Thanks for your prayers.
Barb, so sorry to hear about the cysts on Harry3’s vocal chords. Are there plans to remove them? Will keep him in prayer.
Linda, it’s hard to keep weight down when going out to eat as we tend to eat foods we normally don’t eat at home or at least control the portions we eat. And you said you ate out twice which is so hard. Nice you have an open concept hose too. Forgot to mention when replying to Susan but I have an open concept condo which I like very much.
I will be back later today and hopefully post updates in our prayer thread.
Have a Jesus Filled Day! ✝️🙏📖🤗

Good morning. I have read everyone's posts and have left it kind of late to reply. We have Church this morning and as usual I struggle to be on time in the cold. It feels like a refrigerator in the house but I have turned the central heater on in the main room and in our bedroom. We're fine. I'm praying for you all.

Susan. Enjoy the cold a lot of us are having hot temps. Wish we could send the hot to you send us the cold temps. Hope church is blond wel for you. Prayers for you and Colin.
stay warm.Judith. I’m sure 3 appointments kept you so, very busy plus being very tired. Praying for you. Thank you for the posts you made. Hope the drs helped you with all you we t through. I’m not sure on cyst on his vocal cords. I like God to just make it disappear. I imagine surgery but I’m sure he’s had enough of that.
Linda. Well it’s getting hotter here and a week of inthe 90’s coming up. I guess our green grass will be turning brown later. I prefer the green grass to brown. Maybe we can get some rain with the heat. Our heat index and humidity will be on the rise too.
Today while we were with 3 he was lying down on the his bed and sat up with I problem to, eat a Reese’s we had gotten for, him and nature valley sweet and salty bars. His back and head were straight. One has to sit, first then stand and then walk so maybe his balance is coming. Thank you God.
Thank you all for the prayers. Keep, praying as God can remove the cyst on his vocal cords.1 -
I have been busy today getting things ready for the Father's Day picnic for church tomorrow. I made two salads - "Simple Quinoa Salad" and Barb I made your "Cornbread Salad". Your description of it sounded so good I am making it without even trying it out on Glenn. He has been sleeping a lot today. He had to get up for a 7am zoom meeting with some students in Haiti. It was the best time for them but hard for him to get up and be awake for their questions they had. I am so glad that my time getting up is more flexible and I can sleep longer than he does. We had a nice walk shopping in the store for ingredients for the salads as well as getting tablecloths and napkins at the Dollar store. We read the directions incorrectly and bought twice as many table cloths than we needed. At least they will not spoil if we use them at a later time when we are in charge of the next potluck. We rotate between three different Bible study groups so we will be due in September.
Barb - it does sound like 3 is getting better balance. That is encouraging so he will not be falling as much as he has. Is the facility close to your house? HH said it was 5 minutes from her house but I did not ask you about how far you have to travel. The only way in this hot weather that we can keep our grass green is to keep watering it with the river irrigation water. They have not put any limit on us for the use of the water but there was a time a few years ago that they were not able to water the lawns at work and they all turned brown. Visitors were so concerned with all the dead grass we had but we assured them that they were just dormant and would be nice and green the next Summer. It was true the next year there were no water restrictions and the grass was nice and green again.
Judith - I am sorry that your doctor will not consider any alternative medication since the one he wanted to use has been denied so many times. There is a biblical example of trying over and over. The widow who kept coming to the unjust judge with her requests and he finally granted it just to get rid of her. Maybe the request will be granted if your doctor asks enough time. I am praying that you will regain the few ounces that you lost this week. Rest up well after your three appointments this week. I don't remember that you have so many next week. Praying for your lips to feel better and that a good decision will be made by the dental surgeon about getting your mouth functional again. Will you be able to eat solid food after surgery if that is the route he goes?
Susan - I hope you had a good service today. Congratulations on your accomplishment in Stampin' Up for being a part of them for 15 years. You have made a lot of beautiful cards and enriched friendships over that time (really 19 years with a break.)

Good morning. I have a lot of rehearsals for a dance concert Saturday night, a card class to run, visitors, and sole responsibility for the house and dogs this week as Colin is staying with Shaun a few days to help with Inara while Shaun does some more construction on their house. I won't have a car as Colin is taking ours. It feels like I have too much to do. I'll try to get on here every day but forgive me if I don't. I'll keep you all in my thoughts snd prayers.

The church potluck went well. When we first started getting the plastic tablecloths put on the picnic tables, the wind was pretty strong and the tablecloths were flapping like flags. We held them down with packing tape and some little metal clamps that we had. By the time we had the service and started eating, the wind had died down but the temperature was getting pretty warm without the breeze. It got up to 100F by 2pm but when we were eating it was 98F. We had plenty to eat with enough left overs that we gave some to the college students and took some things home. Glenn really loved the Barb's cornbread salad and said we should have it more often. Thanks Barb for this addition to our menu. Now the fun part is cleaning the grill of all the grease and cheese that dripped off the cheeseburgers. Some people do not clean their grills until the Summer is over and say that the heat of the gas fire kills all the germs from the leftover food particles but I like to clean it each time we use it so the grease does not build up too much.
Susan - you have a very busy schedule this week. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to be here every day - we understand. Even if you do not have a car, are you able to get around with your golf cart? It is so nice that Colin is able to help Shaun by watching Innara. I am sure he and Innara will have so much fun. I hope his pain level is not severe this week and can enjoy his time there.
I hope every one has a good week. Prayers and love to you all.
