Susan - I am so glad you got to celebrate your early birthday and did some crafting. Having gluten free and dairy free just for you is special. Where will you be going in August? Will it be in your caravan or a bigger trip via airplane? One more sleep and it is over. What an amazing trip you have had. I am so gald we were able to visit with you and see sights that we will never be able to see ourselves.

Judith - I am glad that you are having nicer weather and no more hard rains. I think out weather forgot about Spring and is now in the hot Summer which is scheduled by the calendar for next week. Hope you are having better days.

Marilyn - How are you doing? I believe your stitches are out - how is the hearing process going?

As I was talking to a friend this evening, I saw 8 ants crawling up my wall. The pest people were here yesterday and either they made the ants mad and they are coming back to punish us or they did not do a very good job yesterday. Glenn left a message with them and I have been told that they will come out for free if the pests are not controled after they spray.

I took a meal to our minister and his family tonight. She had given several of us recipies of things they liked so we could make them. When I talked to our minister when he called and thanked me for the meal, he said his wife apologized for giving me such a complicated recipe. I had to cook the onion, mushrooms and garlic then and make a cream sauce, add meat, pasta and cheese so there were several steps but I did not think anything about it. There are only a few foods that I will not try to make at my age except one. I tried to make croissants and was a total failure. I do not plan to try to make them again! It is much easier to go to COSTCO and buy them if I need some. Is there anything you do not plan to attempt to make?

Pleasant dream everyone! Talk to you later.

Susan, so glad your cake was so yummy. And it was so kind to make the cake gluten and dairy free for you. Extra special for sure. I sure hope your wrist and finger settles down so you can play your Ukulele, will keep you in much prayer. Your Choir you have at home, will there be upcoming concerts you will be practicing for? So glad you are enjoying your crafting and making cards. Have a good last few days with Sharon and Barry before you head home, you are very close to home now. You mentioned some travel in August, is this for upcoming birthdays?

Thank you Susan and Linda for praying and hoping I get some answers in my next appointment, so appreciate your love and kindness.

Marilyn you are missed here, know you are in our prayers and are trusting you are recovering well.

Missed you on chat again Linda but was glad I saw you on our Weather Thread, you sure had some hot weather. Be safe and stay cool!

    Good Morning All

I came on very early this morning and see I am the only one here so will come back and see who has posted and reply to your day’s activities you share here. Nothing is planned for me today other than going out to my yard to tidy up and water the plants. It was quite windy mid afternoon so quite a lot of debris got blown around that needs sweeping up. I plan to spend some extra time in Bible Reading and Study and listen to some Study DVD’s on the Book of Revelation!

Susan hope you have a safe journey as your travels are coming to an end as you make your way home!

Linda and Marilyn thinking of you both. Have a blessed day! Be back tonight!

    Love and Hugs….🤗🙏

Good Thursday morning. The stars are still out here. It's 5:52am and I haven't been able to sleep since 4:30am, so read my Bible and have been posting a bit. It's a travel day today. We're aiming to be home by Saturday so we really are almost done with this 9 month trip.

Judith, I see you were here in the early hours of your day. We will travel in the van by road in August to Cairns to see our daughter, son in law and two granddaughters there. I'll also get to see my sister and brother in law. And maybe some friends. Thank you for praying about my hand and wrist. Yes, the music groups plan for concerts and events all year round. With me being away so much, I don't know if I can join in. We'll see. Hope you have a good day in your garden. Sharon and I got to craft all day yesterday (apart from grooming/walking dogs, doing the washing and preparing meals!) The men went to Rockhampton to do errands and bring groceries back.

Linda, there are many things I will not try to make now as my hand/wrist is weak and painful. I believe homemade sauerkraut takes a lot of strength and energy as you need to chop then crush the cabbage so it is bruised. It's too much for me to think about! I used to cook fruit cakes, cookies and candy every Christmas but no one eats them due to 'health' concerns so I have almost stopped making them. I used to make jams and marmalade but not any more. And croissants would also be beyond me! Lol!

My phone tells me the sweet smelling plant outside my window is a wax leaf privet. It is mildly toxic to plants and children. As I am looking outside from my window I can see over 25 Elm Blossom bettles crawling on my window screen. As I was outside I had two crawling on me for the few seconds I was outside. They do not bite but are a nusience! I ave not seen many inside yet but if we open the door very often, they can get in quickly. I have been told they cling to windows to get the cool air that is coming out for the window. We have to keep the windows open because that is how the swamp cooler cools the house. It pulls air inside, cools it down with water and as the air enters the house, the hot air is forced out of the windows forming a cycle that is repeated over and over cooling the house.

Judith - I hope you were able to clean your yard without overexerting yourself. One of our Elm trees has a lot of small dead branches on it and with the wind blows we also have cleaning up to do before the company comes by to mow the lawn.

Susan - I assume you are now home and unpacking. Are you two feeling better from your virus you had? Traveling brings a person in contact with many viruses that they do not have when staying in the same region. I had four friends who just came back from flying to France and then went on a cruise. Two of them came back and tested positive for Covid. The other two did not but had a lot of fatigue from the time changes.

Susan - Well it looks like I got ahead of myself and had you home already. I see now that you plan to get home on Saturday. do you know how many miles you put on your vehicle pulling the van for 9 months? We do not put a lot of miles on our car but had to replace our tires this week. They were showing wear and cracks which could be dangerous. I do not know when the tires were replaced before because we got the car from Glenn's Dad.

Judith - it is interesting how your family was musical too. I wonder what else we have in common besides being in the medical field and your daughter also being Linda. Of course there is an age difference between myself and her.

Tomorrow we will go up early to get the trailer from storage, get new tires on it and take it to the mountain property. Our tires on the trailer are at least 10 years old so it is time for a change. Since we do not know how long it will take for the tires, we plan on just staying the night at the trailer. I will take something simple to eat so we do nto have to take a lot with us or have a lot to clean up when we leave.

It was 101F this afternoon but it is clouding up a little so it is cooler. The humidity is only 9% today so a rainstorm would be nice but sometimes when it is so hot, the rain evaporates before it hits the ground.

I got the shelves in the curio cabinent today and now to unpack the lamps and other things. It may be awhile before I get that done though because we leave for Denver on Monday and this weekend we are in charge of the Father's Day potluck for church.

Thank you Susan for letting us know all is well as you head out on your journey home. I am sure you will be happy getting home and seeing Family and Friends and attending your own Church service rather than a Live Stream of the Services. Safe travels my friend. My prayers are with you and Colin. 🙏🤗

Linda, It’s good you are staying the night over at your trailer before you take it from storage to get it up to the Mountain Property. It’s good to be safe as you wait while they put new tires on the trailer.
it is so interesting that we both have so many similarities in our lives with our Music, Medical and your name Being the same as my daughter. So glad you got the shelves of your Curio cabinet so now you can unpack the lamps and other things. You sure had some hot weather in your area. Hope it cools down for you.

Marilyn, thinking about you, hope all is well. My prayers are with you.

Will be back tomorrow. Good Night and God Bless! 😴🤗🙏

It certainly has cooled down but no rain yet. The sky is dark gray so it might start as we travel. This will be short because we are about to leave to go get the trailer moved this morning. We will be back tomorrow morning so talk to you then.

We're home! The dogs went wild! They knew we were close to home when we got within city limits! They didn't stop running and chasing each other for a couple of hours! We spent the rest of the day unpacking and putting away and gathering dirty laundry while they zoomed around us. My plants look amazing, and our friend Lynda brought us dinner! We're glad to be home awhile. The space in the house seems so big compared to the van. What a trip, but how nice to come home.

Linda, we travelled 21,862 kms/13,584m in our 9 month journey. Safe travels on your journey.

Judith, thank you for your prayers. Hope you are having a good day. Praying for you 🙏 ❤️ and for Marilyn too.

Linda, glad the weather has cooled down. You said you were leaving to get the trailer. Safe travels, praying your weather stays calm, you said the sky was gray, hope you don’t get rain or stormy weather as you move the trailer. 🙏

Susan, you are so welcome, I was glad to Pray for you and Colin. 🙏

Welcome Home! 🤗 Looking at all those kilometres you travelled while away for 9 months. You sure covered a lot of ground; guess I could say that “literally” 😄 That is so sweet reading the account of Archie and Jasper in how they reacted when they realized they were home and then how they ran and chased each other around and around the house. They were sure happy to be back home. Hope you got all unpacked got the laundry gathered up and organized for laundering. Hopefully you can rest up the weekend. So nice that Lynda brought you dinner. I am sure you appreciated not having to cook.

Marilyn thinking about you and praying for you. 🙏

Well, we made it back from the mountains. The transportation of the trailer when fine except that the pavers were not exactly flat so it took a little while to get the trailer balanced. It did get windy and rain for a little while but we rested in the trailer so we did not get too wet. We went through things and got everything that we could ready for our trip back up there with the kids and grandkids in two weeks. We try to store everything we need at the trailer then carry it up to the cabin that belongs to Glenn's sister when we have a big group. There will be 7 of us and the trailer only holds five very short people in the beds. Our grandson wants to go fishing so we will need to have all that is needed for that as well as swim suits for the grandkids that want to get in the water. It will still be pretty cold but they do not seem to mind. The bottom of the lake is pretty muddy too so if a person it not careful they can loose their water shoes in the mud. I amy just sit on the shore and watch with lots of sunscreen and a large had on.

Susan - I am glad that you got home safely. It sounds like Jasper and Archie were also glad to be home. It is so fun to watch when dogs get the "zoomies" . Ours does that when it snows and she loves to run and play in it. Will you and Colin be bored with nothing new to do or see?

Marilyn - I pray you get over your cold quickly. We wold love to hear from you when you are able.

    Afternoon Everyone,

I can back to share what going on here in my area. It sure is cold 🥶 here today. It’s 52 degrees Fahrenheit with Grey Cloudy skies. We had a heavy Rain ☔️ downpour earlier today. It’s the Summer Season but you would never know it with our weather conditions, it sure feels more like the Autumn Season!

Hope you all are having a better day than us and it’s warmer in your area.

Hope everyone is alright as I haven’t heard from any of you today.

My prayers are with you all!🙏🤗

I always just come and write something once a day and that is in our mornings usually. Glad to read your updates, Judith and Linda.

Judith, I hope you start getting Sumner weather soon! We're not likely to get warmer weather here till about September/October, our spring. I have been wearing a blanket or layers of clothes as I really feel the chill at night. I always wear socks this time of year. Yesterday we got most of the laundry done from the caravan- sheets, our towels, dog towels, kitchen and bathroom mats and cloths, clothes and all. The dogs are still smiling. We also got the van into storage and went to the local shops for chemist needs, hardware to install Starlink at home, dog food, and a coffee out. At home I unpacked some craft items, found things that I had put away so they wouldn't get dusty and I had to cook our dinner last night. Lol! Today we go back to church in person! Yay!

Linda, that sounds like quite a job, levelling the van on pavers in the rain. Glad you got it done. It sounds like you will have a busy and fun family time coming up. I don't think we will ever be bored. Life anywhere is so interesting. We need to do the routine things getting g back with optometrists, dentists, Diabetes specialists for Col, physio for him, Dr appointments etc to start with, then this weekend we have family coming for my birthday too. Two granddaughters are staying with us for a week from Saturday. There are all our regular activities to get back to with church and Village life plus my craft ladies want classes! Nope, no boredom on the horizon that I can see!

I need to get ready for church. Have good days, everyone.

Linda, I scrolled up and see that you posted just before me but it didn’t show after I had posted my message. Delayed reaction. I see that a lot with MFP more than I ever did when we all were on Spark. You posted at 2:23pm your time and I posted at 2:30pm my Pacific Time Zone here in Canada. Not a lot of time between but just enough that we seemed to miss each other. You had quite the time with getting the trailer balanced on the pavers. Guess with the rain and wind it kept you going. Glad you could stay in the trailer and not get too wet! It’s funny how kids love playing in the water and are not bothered by any mud at bottom of lake. I am sure you will have a lovely time this weekend celebrating with the family at your Fathers Day Picnic.

Susan. You sure can say you won’t be bored with your craft classes and the ladies wanting to get together to make cards. I look forward to seeing all the cards you make. You mentioned it’s your Birthday this weekend; so from me to you Happy Birthday 🥳🎂 and God Bless you! Hope you enjoy your family celebration! It does take time to get your Hardware to install Starlink at home and all the things like getting stocked up on Dog Food and other supplies and of course all your medical appointments set up after being away for 9 months. It’s amazing all that needs done when being away for an extended time away. Will be nice to catch up with everything and settle back into the comforts of home. Enjoy your two granddaughters as they come to stay with you for 2 weeks. I am sure Jasper snd Archie will enjoy
the grandkids. I am hoping our weather will warm up as it has been so cold here. Enjoy being back to your Church services in person Susan.

Marilyn hope you get better soon and you feel better and stronger as you are so missed on here. Praying for you.

Will sign off for now. Have a Blessed evening and Lord’s day as you attend your Home Church Services and the time you spend with your family. 🙏🤗

We had a really nice Father's Day potluck this morning. We were in a pavillion so were out of the sunshine but the wind was pretty strong. We had plastic tablecloths that were flapping in the wind even though we had taped them down with packing tape on the ends of the table. We presented all the fathers with glass glasses with statements like "World's Best Father", "Cheers to Father" and "Best Dad Ever" written on them. I think they liked them. The church provided hamburgers, brats and hot dogs and we had the members bring side dishes. We had three potato salads but they were all different so it worked out. I took a vegetable tray with ranch dip and tomatoes, onions, lettuce and dill pickles to put on the hamburgers. It was 94F (34.4C) when we got home. It felt good to be in a cooler house after all the sunshine we had outside.

We went out to eat with friends on Saturday to celebrate Glenn's birthday. They were gone to Paris on his actual birthday so we celebrated late. It was nice to get caught up with them about their trip and things that are going on in their family.

We will go back to Denver tomorrow for a week to help celebrate my middle daughter's birthday. Although Denver does have hot weather also, it is not able 100F yet so it will seem cooler to us.

Here are two pictures of the flowers we saw when we were up in the mountains. The first one is some sweet peas and the other one is a wild iris. This wild iris that comes up when the ground is wet from the snow runoff in early summer. There will be more flowers later in the season.

Linda, your Father's Day celebration sounded great. Ours happens in September here so we'll celebrate then. Those were some good ideas about gifts and food. My, it did sound hot out though! Glad you can keep enjoying Glenn's birthday and are looking forward to your daughter's. We'll be in Cairns for our daughter's birthday next month. Have you heard anything about your next surgery yet? 🙏

Judith, thank you for your birthday wishes. It's a milestone birthday for me so I am glad some of the kids can come stay with us. Today we're b9oked in for Optometrist check ups. I think I will wash at least one of the dogs today and that will be Archie. He looks the scruffiest! Yes, I will have some card classes in July before we go away again. I'm not starting Uke classes again till September and we'll see if my hand can take it then. Same for choir, I think, thoughmaybe singing would be good. I know they ate practising for a big concert in November and I might be able to slot in and out of thst group easier than tbe instrumental one, which is smaller. I still need to let the group leaders know what I am thinking about. 🤔 I hope your medical appointments are not too daunting. Praying for you, hon. 🙏

Marilyn, hope you are doing well and that you get a chance to come back to us. Praying for you, too. 🙏

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad’s here in our Group. Hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating with your families!

Linda. Please wish Glenn a Happy Birthday. So glad you were able to get together with your friends who were away when Glen had his special day celebration. It’s always nice when you can extend the birthdays to join with those who were not there at the time. Your Church Fathers Day Barbeque sounded so nice and the food you all provided sounded so good! 😋 I loved the Flowers you shared here, especially the wild Iris, so pretty. You sure are having hot weather but will be nice when you are in Denver where temps are cooler. And yes Linda, wish I had some of your hot weather.

Susan, you are welcome for the Birthday wishes. I forgot you had mentioned a while back it was a milestone birthday for you. Always special when you can celebrate those birthdays. Please wish your daughter a Happy Birthday from me when you travel to Cairns to celebrate her special day. Nice you can be with her. So glad you will be doing some card classes in July and hope you can join the choir who preparing for a big concert in November. It would also be nice if you could play your Ukulele, will keep you in prayer and hope your hand will be much better by then! Hope you had a good Optometrist appointment and Archie enjoyed his new “hair cut”!

Marilyn, just want you to know you are missed here, hope you can come back. Prayers are with you! 🙏

Thanks everyone for your prayers for my next Medical appointments.I have follow ups at VGH and Cancer Clinic. Will keep you updated when I know further. It’s late, so will say Good Night, I will be back tomorrow. God Bless…🙏😴

We made it over the mountain safely. We will be here 6 days then go home. I have started freezing things that we will be taking up to the cabin already. I still have some more to do and also shopping for the meal items. Sometimes I feel like it is more work than it is worth but then I see the faces of the grandkids and how much fun they have and I am so glad for the memories they are making. I was really tired as we were driving and almost fell asleep but the motion of the truck kept jerking me awake when my head would fall down. I try to read to Glenn but this was not the time to do that when I was so sleepy.

Susan - is there a theme for the November Concert your group will be doing? I am sad that you might not be able to play Ukulele due to hand problems. Does playing your flute also cause any problems with you hand?

Judith I was thinking about your weight and how it is so stable or goes up and down and ounce. My weight varies as much as 3 pounds each day depending on how much salt eat or how many carbs I have. When are your next medical appointments?

Marilyn - I'm glad you are feeling better and less congested. I pray that the medicine you recieved will relieve some of you symptoms.
