Thank you, Judith. It is good to have the appeal done. There is quite a backlog of appeals apparently so we will be waiting awhile for our answer. It could be weeks or months before we hear anything, but ART has acknowledged they received.pur submission at least.
Yes, it is exciting and nerve wracking to have the Demonstrator Development Manager, Emma, coming for lunch and a card class! I made her a card last night to thank her for coming. I'll get everyone to sign it. Outside is says "There is beauty in your history." Inside it thanks her for becoming part of our history:
I know you are familiar with SU colours and jargon, Judith, so for you the details are: The card base is made of Balmy Blue cardstock, dry embossed, then heat embossed in gold and inked with Petal Pink. I die cut the images from Kintsugi Inspirations dsp and blended Basic Beige over the chrysanthemum as it seemed too stark white. The sentiment is stamped on Basic Beige in Cloud Cover ink. The embellishments are Pressed Flower Motifs. The bow is twined around the stamped frame and is made of Linen thread. I enjoyed making this card after everyone else (including Sharon and Barry) went to bed!
I must go move furniture and set up.our dining room table as a craft table for 6 of us. I hope everyone likes the cards I have prepared for them to make today.
TThinking of you all.

Susan. Prospers that the ART appeal goes your way or some help for Colin. Also, prayong that yiur stampin goes well. I’m sure with the regional managers from New Zealand and Queensland can be nervous. You got this with God’s help. Maybe a qpsquahy ball to help with stress you got this I’m sure.
Linda I can’t wait to see the piano runner cover sounds neat. Sorry about you running out of bags to bad we don’t live closer so I can give you some. I sometimes don’t use any at walmart as I have a green bag with me.
JC prayers for you. Hioe the pain can be less for you.Judith praying for you, especially with yiur health and pain. We are going through the book of Mark. It is interesting too.
So Harry 3 talked to KC Ability, the put patient place they like him to go, to, I’ve heard it’s good too, 3 called the, and KC ability told him that he would be there no later then 8/18. So we are praying it will be sooner. HH and him walk around the house with him using a w@lamer so that’s good. Guess that is his PT.
We went over today and Harry, dad helped him use Rest room WC, and shorts on. So glad he gets some PT. HH is not sleeping much and slept on the couch keep, praying she needs to rest in the lord easier said then done. I will be making some rice and meatballs for supper tomorrow. Mariposa wanted meatballs, for her bay so, that’s why I’m making some.
Prayers for all.Pt with HH and 3.

PS One of you asked about 3 & his work. His job is giving him 6 months & he can work at work at home. Pray all that works out. He’s getting some of if his pay in the meantime.
Thank you for the prayers. Plus your churches too.1 -
The runner is done and I will download the picture tomorrow. I need to take it out of my phone, send it to myself in an e-mail then download it here. Maybe there is an easier way to do it but that is what I do now. I really needed it because it covers the damage that was done when we transported the piano to Grand Junction. It was in the back of the truck and a huge gust of wind opened the top and it was ripped off and landed on the road then skidded to the side of the road in the snow. As long as I have a cover, it does not look too bad but without it, there is a lot of conversation about what happened to it. I had covered it with just a piece of material but this cover is much nicer.
Susan - you said your great grandmother made quilts of your clothes. My aunt was a seamstress and she had lots of extra material so she frequently made quilts for people. Although I did not recognize some of the material, there would be a few pieces of clothing she had made for me. She also made some for our children. Having 5 unexpected visitors for lunch and with the busy schedule you had, I am amazed that you said it so calmly. I need to have some advance warning if people are eating at my house! I hope your visitors had a safe trip to your house and you have a wonderful visit. I am sure the Regional Manager for NZ and Queensland will be very impressed with your card creations as we always are.
Barb - I read in Caring Bridge how little sleep HH is getting. Being on "alert status" is going to wear her out until she can not keep going. I do remember bringing home each new baby and feeling that alert status feeling. I was checking to see if the baby was breathing multiple times during the night. Of course, back then, I had the baby sleeping with me in my bed so I did not have to get up. Now, it is really considered a safety issue and babies are not supposed to be in bed with the parents. Was she also nervous when Anabella came home? I remember there were hard days when the Annabella had reflux and could not sleep well. I hope things settle down quickly. Having you bring dinner tomorrow should help her some.
Judith - We are finishing a study at church on Matthew and it has been very interesting. On Tuesday evening when we have our small group study, Glenn taught on the same chapter that we had on Sunday and added highlights that were very interesting. He was looking at the Emotional Intelligence of Jesus and the people he interacted with. Jesus loved unconditionally, did not hold grudges against his accusers and keep his eyes on the Father. All of these things I need to cultivate in my life.

Susan, Love the Card so much. Emma will love it. And it’s so special with everyone in the class signing it. And I have the Balmy Blue Cardstock, I have just started using the Heat Tool and the Powders, need lots of practice. I love embossing and using the Dies and have many embossing folders & the Dies in various designs. I don’t have the Dies or the Stamps for the Kintsugi Inspirations but I would love a set. I found the Kintsugi Inspirations on Page 58 in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalouge! I think I will buy the Suite Collection! Do you use the Uninked Ink Spots? I just bought a set beginning of the year. My Favorite ink pad colors are Pink Passion, Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lilac, Tuxedo Black, Call me Clover! I will be thinking of you as your group gathers for the Card Class. Can hardly wait to hear all about what Emma thought about the group and the cards the group made. You have me inspired especially trying out the Kintsugi Inspirations Collection. I sit here with my Catalouge open to page 58. 😊
Barb, thank you for sharing the picture of Harry3 and Hong Hong. It’s good she is helping Harry3 with walking and getting some exercise. The new group for Physio you are telling us about sounds like it will be great for him. August 18th is not too far away but it would be nice if it’s earlier for Harry 3. I am happy Harry3’s Work have given him 6 months and he can work from home. This is good to hear. My Prayers continue for Harry3 and Hong Hong. You said you are going through the Book of Mark, is this at your Ladies Bible Study or is your Pastor taking you through Marks Gospel in his Sermon series?
Linda, Great to hear the Runner is done. That’s great! I look forward to seeing the picture tomorrow. So sorry to hear the top of the piano got damaged in the wind srorm while transporting the piano to Grand Junction! So glad the piano was not damaged just the cover. I am sure the runner you have made is lovely! Thanks for letting me know you are finishing a Study at Church on Matthew. I am sure it has been interesting! I like that Glenn touched on the Emotional Intelligenge of Jesus and the people He interacted with. I hear you about how Jesus loved unconditionally and did not hold grudges against those of his accussers but always kept His eyes on His Father. And yes we need to apply those same principles to our own lives.
It’s late gals. Will say Good Night God Bless! 🙏🤗

Yesterday was so much fun! Emma loved our group and her cards. Sharon made her one, too. And the ones we made she enjoyed. There was lots of laughter and craziness, good food and company. We had a ball and I needn't have felt stressed. Emma is very down to Earth and fit right in. Here are examples of the cards we made though I gave them a variety of colours and patterns to choose from:
And one picture of the group for you. Emma is on the left in front, I am holding Jasper. My friend Sharon is on my right. The other three are also friends of mine but are not staying with me!
Judith, I am so glad you liked that suite! 😊 The girls want us to play with it next time too. I'll figure out a card for them before next month. I knew all the cours you mentioned, though they are all retired now e kept for Tuxedo Black. You'll have to let us see what you make!
Linda, how lovely that you also had a family member who made quilts with clothing pieces! Now I am really looking forward to seeing your piano cover, especially after reading the story about its accident. Luckily my visitors were more than happy with curried egg sandwiches. Lol!
Barb, I knew Hong Hong was stressed. She probably feels kind of alone in all this and the weight of responsibility for three lives must be heavy. I'm glad you could help her and know you will in the future. Maybe she will relax more as time goes on. It would be great for Harry3 to get more help sooner rather than later. I hope he feels up to working from home. It must be so hard to consider that right now. Happy birthday to Mariposa for the weekend.

Susan, yes the Colors except Tuxedo Black have retired. I looked at what I posted and forgot to mention that. I am glad I bought them as sets with other ink pad colors I bought when I was told they were retiring. One thing that is great about Stampin’Up is they let you know so you have opportunity to purchase them if you really want. I love the cards the ladies made. And the picture of Emma is so nice, love her smile. Jasper is so wet sitting on his Mommy’s lap, and of course you always look lovely and have a nice smile Susan. Nice to see Sharon too. Now when you speak about Sharon and I pray for her I have a pretty face in my mind as I lift her up to the Throne Room of God! I sure love the Suite and when I buy it will let you know. It might be quite sometime before I make a card from that Suite as it might be near Christmas when I start ordering my supplies from Stampin’Up to make my Cards for the family. I have a lot of Card Stock, Ribbon, Paper, Punches, embossing folders, Dies etc etc but I like to get something new each season. And as you know it’s not hard to find something new at any time! 😁
I am on really early and don’t see Linda or Barb but I know they are around. I am at the Cancer Clinic tomorrow seeing the Oral Oncologist. Will update you when I can.
Prayers are with everyone. Love and God Bless you! ♥️🙏🤗

2nd time and was almost done. 😫
Susan thank you for the picture. So glad you had fun and it’s nice to put faces to names thank you. Love seeing jasper being a good dog on yiur lap!
HH just has to realize that motherhood is hard, and she needs to get a routine. Well, her whining got her help from her church. Not really helping her depend on God & family. We were away and came back a day earlier than planned.
i made the meal and have not heard how it was good or ? I bought walmart salad for them she didn’t want it. I picked up lettuce on way home so, I’ve got lots of veggies. HH didn’t want any of my home grown cucumber either. Harry hubby, bought celery which I bought before we left so, we have lots of veggies here. When I got over there to bring the supper she had a.lady playing with the girls, the. She left and a couple came shortly after. Makes me feel real important. Her mom is here till next week. Crazy.
Judith I usually get on after I get ready for bed. When I can wind down the day. Praying for you tomorrow as you see Oral Oncologist. Wisdom for drs plus no pain for you Hioe you sleep well tonight too. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Linda. So glad that you got the piano cover made. Can’t wait to see it. I just use my phone or iPad to put my pictures on MFP. Hooe it works for you how you do it. So sorry your piano, was injured on the way to Grand Junction. Glad you got a fix!!
Well we got the heat here and we may get a break with rain, the the humidity comes back with 90’s temps. Our heat index is in the 100’s. Oh well fall will come some time.
Prayers for all. Blessings.1 -
I am afraid that all your excitement about the runner will be less when you see that it is just basic but made with memories and love. It does cover the broken top so that is all I wanted it to do and hang over a bit.
Susan - I am so glad that Emma loved your card and was easy to be with. Your group looks like a fun group. I am glad that the ART appeal is done and now just the waiting. It seems that long waits are true with our government entities also. My daughter-in-law works with disability claims for the state. She says that they have very strict guidelines to go by since so many people lie about the extent of their injuries. It is sad that people who really need the help have to work so hard to get it. I pray that you will hear soon.
Judith - from your talk about what StampIn Up supplies, it sound like you could give classes also. I would love to see some of your cards that you have made for your family. I hope your appointment with the Cancer Clinic with the Oral Oncologist is able to give you new helpful information.
Barb - It is encouraging that the KC Ability will be able to help with therapy. I hope it is sooner than the middle of August but at least 3 has verification that it will happen. Thanks for letting us know about 3's job status. I assume that HH does not work right now since she is so busy caring for the three of them. What kind of work does 3 do? I am glad that he can do it from home. Why does HH not like your vegetables? Does she think they are not organic?

Linda, the piano cover is pretty with its pops of pink! Thank you for showing us. It is a perfect size for the piano and I like the trim you chose. It's even better that it evokes good memories. Thank you for sharing. I love how crafty each of us is. Yes, the NDIS gets its share of fakers. I agree that it needs checks and balances but we had already done them and they lost the records. Now they are sticking with the idea that Colin does not have any disabilities other than hearing loss. Verbally, they agree he has significant physical challenges but in writing they are not budging. I think the government is finding NDIS hard to fund. That's the real cause of the withdrawn services but they are blaming us instead. It's frustrating so we have to take lots of deep breaths and pray.
Judith, I have been praying about you and your appointments today. I sure hope there is some good news for you soon. That's lovely that you add something new to your supplies every season. I do it every month so I have something fresh for my classes. If I weren't teaching, I would buy far less! Sharon and I are having some fun moments sharing ideas right now. Shevteaches classes too. We help each other.
Barb, I am sorry HH is finding it hard to accept family help. Does she let her mother help? I hope as time goes on, she will realise you all care for her, the girls and for Harry3. It's tough, I know. Hugs!
1 -
Linda. Your piano, cover is so, neat and with the ,memories it is great! Thank you for, sharing t he pic with us.
Susan. Praying as ART will take its time. That is upsetting thinking that the NDIS thinks Colin doe t need anything when they are the ones that lost the papers. You need a squeeze ball besides prayers. We know God loves us all and He can work it out. Prayers.
Judith praying for you and hoping that the drs can help you soon maybe today. Prayers for Any pain you may have. Hoping you can get the ointment and shots maybe that you have talked about. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I helped today and the meatballs were a success. So that is good. HH had veggies and didn’t want any more so nothing about me just a bit disappointing as I bought some for her plus mine. Oh well.
Sounds like a couple from church and maybe others will help give 3 some PT each day one hour. 3 has argued with me that he get enough walking from wheelchair to bathroom and back NDIS walking in the walker is enough. Nine if which is a hour. So that’s good.
Harry hibby sister is a retired OT sis she may help with that. tTomorrow is a funeral that 3 like to attend so that may be fun. I hope to attend after helping with Jeans boys and lunch.
also pray as the 2 HH & 3 have fought more , as 3 doesn’t process it all yet. My mom mentioned that with him hearing Cantonese probably not helping him. HH talks Thant to Mariposa and Amy her mom. Maybe talk in another room. Pray as I can’t tell HH it. Pray HH figures that out. Hearing another language is not helping his brain heal.
Lots to pray for.PT one hour today. 😊

We just came back from the monthly church midweek summer activity. This month it was pickleball. There were benches that we could sit on to watch and cheer the players on. We had a some younger players (ranging from 12 years old to 26 years old) and three adults who were brave enough to get out on the court. The smoke from the fires were bothering several people's eyes including Glenn so we did not stay very long.
Barb - I am glad that the meatballs were a success. HH is missing out by not accepting your help. I have a DIL who is from Puerto Rico who also does not like to accept a lot of help. When our in-laws grow up in a different culture, they need time to adjust to our family traditions and ways we do things.
Susan - I am so glad you can talk and plan with Sharon about card making ideas. It is redicious that the NDIS says the only disability Colin has is his hearing. I have never met him or examined him but I know that is not true. My mom would say you have earned the jewels in your heavenly crown through all this. I appreciate your tenacity in your search for funding.
Judith - I don't expect to see you on here tonight after your day at the oral oncologist. I pray for a good rest tonight and look forward to any updates you want to share with us later.

Evening Hello Everyone, I can home and spent a long time resting! Been up and worked in all the threads and now here with Chat cafe. Have enjoyed your posts.
So sorry Barb the way things are going with HH, it’s hard when our DIL and families culture doens’t fir in with our Western Culture. My friend told me once that is how they are raised to do everything for themselves and not accept help. Glad Harry3 is getting help with his therapy. My prayers continue. Thanks for sharing Harry3 having his Physio session.
Linda, thank you for sharing the picture of your piano top cover. Your cover is beautiful. The colors and design are lovely. You are so talented. God has given you a gift for sewing and design. So nice to have a piano to be blessed with! 😊 I am sure you get a lot of use of it.
Oops not finished yet! Posted too early!Susan, thank you for thinking of me and praying for me. So nice that Sharon teaches also and you both can get ideas from each other. So nice you both can support each other in the classes you teach with brushing ideas off each other.
My post is short but wanted you all know I read your posts! Love and appreciate you all. Off to bed now!
😴🙏🤗1 -
Judith. Glad you got to post. Prayers for you in having a day with less pain and prayers the ends can help you. I hope you got to take it easy today.
Susann Prayers continue for Colin and for the ACT or NDIS and funding.
Linda. Sorry about the whites? Where are they? I know we had some from Canada fires but have not heard of any new ones..yet we usually get some smoke from the fires out west. Prayong for you. Stay safe. Smoke can bother me too I use drips/allergy for my eyes that helps.
Today was a big day helping, daughter with watching Evan during Blake’s swim lesson. I got a few pics for you. Evan has eczema, and theynatpre trying to find out why his stools are loose for a 2.5. So a friend, has a coworker in another state show with nail, clippings and hair can get some answers. Sounds like they need to clean him out due to the loose stools so a 3 week clean out and they will do the test again. The medical field has not been much help, for Evan.
The funeral was nice and 3 did good. Many pleased to see him, who have been prayong for him.
Then we got 2 good news,,his own wheelchair will be delivered next eeek. I was kind of hoping not neeed when it was made. Oh well his insurance should cover 80% of it. Plus ,airing his deductible it maybe free. The. KC Ability, called 3. This is the place where he will have his outpatient care. He will start 7/6. So that is 12 days early!! So that is good. God is good thank you for the prayers!!
hopefully the PT continues with his church, though with going down and up his steps, using his feet in the wheelchair, and getting in and out of the car 2 times to go, to, the funeral. He had PT.
I’m praying HH can sleep though for some reason she’s had this problem for some time. For some reason she pumps yet has no job. Oh well. If she can sleep,I think much would be better for her and house.
Pics of swimming.Evan in baby pool
Blake on red short near steps. He forgot to, grab his goggles and i didn’t know. Oh well. A fun day.

We just came back from a fun dinner with friends. The couple went to college with us and the husband was the best man in our wedding and Glenn was best man in his wedding. They have lived in the area for many years and got us caught up on where a lot of our classmates are now. We did note that there have been quite a few who have gone on ahead of us to heaven. It was good to spend time with them. We found out that they do not live far from us so we hope to see them more often. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary but we were out of town so this was out little celebration with them by ourselves. Thanks to everyone for the compliments on my piano cover. I am glad that this project is done.
Barb - I am sorry that Evan is having eczema and loose stools. I hope that the nail clippings and hair samples will give them some answers. I had eczema when I was younger and I remember being miserable because it itched so much. I am so glad that 3 is getting to start therapy 12 days early. I understand your thoughts that you were hoping that the w/c would not be needed by 3 but he might need it at a later time. I was so glad that we have a walker and wheelchair here at the house to use when I was having hip pain. We keep them just in case we need them later. The walker belonged to my FIL and the wheel chair was free from my work. They were throwing away some and getting new ones. I took two of them home and my son took parts off of one and fixed the other one and now I have a great wheelchair.
Judith - thanks for the update from your doctor's office. What is the doctor expecting to find on the CT scan? Will this help him see how he can make your jaw more functional so you can eat again? I am glad that you were able to get some rest yesterday.
Susan - I hope you are having a good time with your friends this week. Continuing to pray for a good outcome from your appeal.
2 -
Linda, that is great you got to fellowship over dinner with old classmates so nice when you can connect with friends that were in each of your weddings with the husband being best man at your wedding and that Glen was best man at their wedding. I am sure you had lots of reminiscing of by gone days and shared a few chuckles too. Nice that the couple don’t live too far away from you and Glen, hope you can get together more often, that would be nice. You asked about the scan I had, when I am back next month the results will be discussed and what type of treatment is recommended! Right now I really don’t know what the Oncologist is planning. I hope the plan includes my jaw for getting it to function better! I leave it in God’s Hands! Appreciate you asking after me and your prayers.
Barb, thank you for sharing pictures of the boys, love Evan’s goggles, so cute. So glad the boys could enjoy the water. So sorry that Evan is has eczema and loose stools. I hope that the nail clippings and hair samples you spoke about will give them some answers. My Grandson Logan had it as an infant and toddler, he scratched his skin raw at times until they found right treatment for him. Today at 16 he has no signs of eczema. Hopefully it will pass with Evan. So glad Harry3 did well at the funeral. Glad the exercises he is doing at home is helping him. And pushing the wheelchair around with his feet is good also. So happy he has his own wheelchair now, yes I hear you that you were hoping he wouldn’t need it by the time it arrived. It’s great his insurance is covering the cost. I am sure Harry3 will do well getting around using his feet to propel the chair. This is great news he is getting his therapy 12 days earlier. The Lord has answered our prayers. We serve a Good God! Thank you for your prayers and asking after me.
Tonight I missed Susan here, I replied to her post last night but think I just missed it on my feed. Will check later.
Love you all, my prayers are with you always. 🙏🤗

Hope all have a great weekend.
Susan. Hope you are enjoying the weekend with your friends. Also comtinue prayers for Colin and your appeal. In Gods time.
Judith. I hope you got some much needed rest. So, glad to see that with all you have going on you didn’t loose an ounce. Praying you gain another one too. So prayers continue as you wait till next month to hear what the Drs suggest for you. We also we hope it involves your jaw moving more.
How did your grandson parents know what to help him. We are all hoping his eczema gpes away with age They have been told that. Prayers & wisdom in meantime.Linda. Sounds like your fellowship was fun. Somglad you got together with friends who your hubby was best man. So neat. 50 year anniversary is nice. 🥳
Have any of you others been married that long? We only have 47.5 years. So getting closer. Some days I hope we don’t see it 50 years, as I hope the Lord comes and we are in heaven. All up, to God. Today I was there when 3 had some PT. I was a spotter with him doing the steps. He did good. He was doing some leg exercises on his back. The Neuro place gave him several pages of exercises he can do so glad it’s getting done. The more he does PT it the better it seems.
Tomorrow up we will celebrate Mariposa’s bday. So HH was busy making cupcakes. She had them decorated nicely. Elisabeth and family will be coming up too James won’t as his wife and kids are on their way to Canada to see her sister her town. (Toronto area Judith. )
Have a good weekend all. We got some rain last night and had a shower this evening, & we may have more.
Stay well all.1 -
I didn't remember to post yesterday with all that was going on here. Our friends left yesterday and I needed to clean up after them and then prepare a card class I am running today. We had other visitors yesterday and today too.
All is well and I have read your posts. I need to leave for my classes in a few minutes a need to pack the car. There are several boxes, bags and my Big Shot die cutting and embossing machine to remember to put in the car.
Do take care, all of you, and I hope to post more tomorrow.

Today we had a ladies luncheon. Several people were on vacation so it was a small group. We hope to do this once a month. I signed up to donate blood this afternoon but when I got to the donation center they were closed. There was a gas line break and they did not have any electricity. I will need to reschedule for next week. The smoke is less today but the news said it will come back from Arizona tomorrow.
Barb - We have been married for 52 years. We had a big celebration for our 50th anniversary. Eczema can go away with age. I did get some creme from a dermatologist to help with the itching. Getting out in the sun seemed to help me. Right now I use coconut oil as a moisturizer. I am glad that you got some rain. Some places are getting too much rain and have flooding and others like the Midwest need more.
Susan - It is nice to have guests but cleaning up when they leave takes a lot of energy especially when there are card classes to get ready for. I hope you can get some rest this weekend.

Barb, you mentioned Toronto area, I was Born in Toronto. Most of my family on Grandfathers side in Newfoundland, Dad’s side Britain, have my Brother in Boston, Sister in Mississauga and Dad’s wife moved from Brampton after Dad died to Meaford. Then cousins Uncle in USA and spread across the States from Miami to Toledo, Ohio, Buffalo and Rushford New York! A lot of family still in Ontario! Hope James wife and kids enjoy their visit to see family (Sister) in the Toronto area. Safe journey for them. You asked about my Grandson and what my kids did to help Logan with his Eczema, their Doctor gave them a prescription for some cream, don’t remember the name but after a few years it just went away. Hope this happens with Evan. So glad Happy3 is doing well with his exercises and you were able to be there to watch him and cheer him on! Please wish Mariposa a Happy Birthday 🥳 from me. I am sure the Birthday cupcakes Hong Hong made for the party are so pretty!
Susan, It’s always nice to have company and friends stay with us but the clean up takes extra time. Especially with you doing card classes and setting up for them. You mentioned you were packing up the car with your Big Shot Machine and all the supplies you take. I love my Big Shot machine and use it all the time. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have it. Enjoy your class. Have a great weekend!
Linda, so sorry the clinic was closed when you got there and couldn’t give Blood like you were hoping to. That’s scary having a gas line break. Hope it works out for you to give blood next week! So glad you had a nice luncheon with the Ladies even though it was a small group. Yes in the summer months a lot go on vacation so the groups can be small. Hope it works out for your group to meet every month. That would be great. Our Church closes the groups down for the summer months.
Thanks everyone for asking after me regarding my appointments and treatment. I leave it in God’s hands, He is a good God and looks after me.
Have a Blessed weekend. See you all tomorrow! Good Night 😴 God Bless!

It's Sunday here and we are heading off to church and afterwards a business meeting. Then we have visitors coming. No rest for me this weekend
Yesterday went well. I took a picture of everything I had to remember for the class.
Somehow I didn't forget anything and the ladies seemed to enjoy making their cards.

2nd time.
Susan Happy Lord’s day. You sure have a lot to remember to bring. I hooe your class went well. So you had company and then have company again so you will be busy but enjoy the time with them. How long have you been married Susan?Linda. I Hioe the next time you can give blood? Where are you schedule to,give blood?is it American. Red Cross? If so they give pins for each gallon you give. I got a 5 gallon pin. We also,ha pver community blood center and who knows how much I gave with them too. Do hope you can give next week. My Bible study closes also for the summer. Enjoy your time eve if small at times.
Congrats on 52 years of marriage thats neat. 🥳
Judith. Your family have been all, over. It’s kind of neat. What took you to Vancouver and how long live there?
I am ,hoping with them getting Evan DNA, and cleaning him out, as he has loose stools, and is 2.5 years old, so he shouldn’t have that, will help him. In 3 weeks they reevaluate him. He is not to eat blueberries and sugar beets. Evan needs sugar cane. I got 2 bags of sugar from Jean so I have plenty of sugar to make hummingbird food when I need to.
I am prayong Evan looses the eczema too as he ages. The parity was nice. I’ll include ode a picture or 2. HH did good she and dad Harry, hubby thinkmharry 3 has regressed some. So,it’s good that his church is doing PT with him. His aunt helps with OT. I’m also, glad he starts 8/6 and not 8/18.
in Gods time.Peppa pig theme
Cousins playing and tower made.

We just got back from walking to the store. It was cooling off but by the time I got home, the swamp cooler felt so good! The walk is a little over a mile but it is along a busy street that has a lot of exhaust fumes from the cars and trucks. We try to find quieter streets when we go walking normally. There is an area behind our house that has a new building being built that will be a recreational center for our part of town. There are some nice walking paths that we like to go on that is in like a farm land area. Once the building is done, they will develop this farm area into parking lots, tennis courts, etc. There is already a disc golf course there now.
Susan - Are you visitors just there for the day? You have had a very busy week. Do you have classes at other peoples houses besides your own? That was quite a large amount of supplies you had in your picture. You would certainly get large muscles carrying that to multiple houses if you met different places.
Judith - You have relatives all over the country. When we went on trips when I was growing up, it was usually to visit family so it was nice that we have some in different parts of the country so we could see a lot of scenery. I think that was true about lots of people who traveled then. Now it is common for people to fly all over the world. Times have changed a lot.
Barb - I rescheduled my donation to Monday. They say this is my 50th donation but that is not all I have done. I first started in the Denver area giving at Bonfils Blood Bank. They would come to my work with their bloodmobile so I did not have to travel far to donate. In 1917 they were taken over by Vitalant. They have centers in Denver as well as Grand Junction so when I am due to donate, I give where ever I am at at the time. I think the the 50th donation they are talking about is only for Vitalent and not the times I gave at Bonfils. You were talking about Even not having sugar beets, are you talking about the red root beets or the white beets they get white sugar from? Glenn's family raised the white sugar beets for years and sold them to sugar companies. After the company decided to not use the wester slope sugar beets, the family changed and started selling onions. They sold onions all over the country. Mariposa's Peppa Pig cupcakes were so cute. HH is very talented and creative. I am glad the cousins were able to play together.

Barb, loved the Peppa Pig Cupcakes, HH is very creative. Glad the Church is helping Harry3 with some Physio and his Aunt and you are helping with Occupational Therapy. It’s good Harry3 is starting on August 6th and not August 16th. Nice pictures you took and happy the Cousins played so well together. So nice you donate Blood also, such a blessing to be part of helping others who need blood. Barb you asked what brought me to Vancouver but a friendly correction; I don’t live in Vancouver but I travel to Vancouver for my Treatment which is very tiring. That’s why I rest next day from travel and painful treatments. I live in Northern BC just down from Marilyn. My family lives all across the USA several parts of Ontario. Newfoundland, Victoria, Yale/Hope, Maple Ridge.
Susan, you have had heaps of visitors which have kept you busy. The supplies you had to load in your car was a lot. Your Big Shot is just like mine except mine is white and grey. I have never seen a Big Shot in Black, didn’t know it came in Black! But I like it, so cool. Hope the class went well and the ladies enjoyed making their cards! It’s now Sunday for you I believe, Blessings on your day. Will you be playing your Ukulele or is it music practice after the service?
Linda, you sure have donated a lot of Blood. Such a blessing to be able to help others who are in need of blood! I’m sure it gives you such a good feeling you can help. Yes I have family all over the USA and Canada. Growing up as a child I have memories travelling to Buffalo New York visiting Aunt Marie and Uncle Peter. Then of course family in Toledo Ohio and Miami Boston and many States in between. Of course I lived in the states for almost a year then moved back to Canada and got married shortly after. Interesting about Glenn's family who raised the white sugar beets for years and sold them to sugar companies. Thanks for sharing!
It’s bedtime now, Good Night All, have a Blessed Sunday tomorrow and enjoy your Sunday services! God Bless. 😴🙏🤗

Susan. Hope your house will calm down after visitors. I’m sure it was an enjoyable but busy weekend. Did you play the ukulele or after the service practice? Sure hope all worked out with God usually it does one way or the other.
Judith. That’s right you don’t live in Vancouver but go there to see the dr. Thank you for ,I’m cool front. MyA correcting me. You sure have been an many places. We went camping growing up so I’ve
I have been up and down the USA on east coast plus we made it to, CO. I grew up in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. Went to the shore NJ plenty of times too.
Linda. Are you getting any of the hot weather I am getting. We got 2 more days of it then a cool cold front. My mom gets the heat tomorrow. Thank goodness we get some cooler temps,on Wednesday.
I do a lot of walking around the neighborhood trying to get the shady streets. Plus watering the plants. Morning, It’s nice and cooler if I get up early.
Have a good week all.1 -
Hello everyone. I finally have time to chat. It's our Monday here and I have been to Uke Jam practice with fellow Village residents. We are learning some new songs with new-to-us chords so it is tricky right now. Now I have free time till 4pm when we have Starlight Singers practice time.
Barb, yes, having Sharon and Barry here for a week last week meant we were very busy. We also had various friends drop in for a cuppa, some lunch etc. On top of that, we were helping another couple figure out how to fill out forms for a deceased estate in Florida and they needed to know how to get the forms emailed to the US, work with their bank to sort out the financial transactions, and we were witnesses to their signatures too. They just didn't know where to start. Now that's done. Mariposas's party looked so cute! I liked the cupcakes too. About church, I only play my flute there, so far i don't play Ukelele there. I need the chords for our hymns and no one has the knowledge to figure them out. I think I could learn to figure out the chords and need to work on that sometime. It might be easier than I think but the problem is finding time to do it. On Sunday afternoon after church, the Uke Jam leader dropped off our new songs to me. That might be why you thought I was playing Uke in church. You asked how long we've been married. We were both married before. Colin and I were married in 1996, so our 30 year anniversary will happen next year.
Judith, you sound like you have the newer Big Shot. I bought mine from Stampin' Up! in about 2008. They were all black with pink writing on them then. So yours is much newer! Yes, the class supplies are always a lot. I need to keep lists of what each class I run needs to use as I only have one of each thing. I use my ink pads, stamps etc in between classes to do my own projects and to supply other classes, so keeping up with what I need for each different class means I use a notebook of lists! I have a list of things I need for EVERY class (stamp blocks, adhesives. Scissors, paper trimmer, stamp cleaner, placements and grid paper etc) then I do lists for specific cards we are making. If I had not learned skills in administrative and management roles before, it would be harder to keep track, and I do need to be organised! Lol! I hope your Sunday is beautiful and peaceful. How are you feeling since last week's appointments?
Linda, your walk sounds nice, even if it was a bit noisier and fumier than usual. I am sorry you will eventually lose the farm land behind you. We used to walk but not now with Colin's pain and mobility issues. About my classes, three per month are held here in my home. One is held at other people's homes. The women in the 'outside' group take turns hosting so there are 6 different houses we rotate through. Colin used to help me pack the supplies into the car but since his back is so painful, he no longer lifts much. I just do things slowly and only carry so much at a time. Class attendees usually help me at the other end.
And that's me for now! Enjoy the rest of your Lord's Day.

The place where we usually meet for church did not have any electricity due to construction so we had our smaller group at our house. Next week we will have them again since it is the first Sunday of the month. We have a meal on that day. It is fun but it is a lot of work to coordinate all the food and house cleaning. We will be gone to stay in the trailer from Thursday night to Saturday night this week so I will not be here on Friday. It will be nice to go where it is cooler but I don't know how much smoke will be there since the wildfires are not far away.
Barb - our weather was 96F (35.5C) today but the next two days will be 101F (38.3C) then cool down a little but still in the 99F-94F range. Our humidity is 10% and things are getting really dry where it is not irrigated. The ground has big cracks in it and is very dusty. HH wrote that 3 has been asking about going back to rehab and is keeping her awake with his choking/coughing. I am so sorry that she is struggling with all of this. It will get better but it hard to believe that when in the midst of the chaos.
Susan - You are very organized in your cardmaking. I need to make lists to be able to remember where I put things. I think I have put it in a "safe" place but forget where it is. When I do find it, I write down where it is so it does not happen again. I usually do find it but there is still one thing that I have not found. It is not essential for life but I miss it. I know that when I quit looking for it, it will show up and I will say "Oh yes, that's where I put it" and it will all make sense.
Judith - You said you lived in the states then moved to Canada and got married. Was your to be husband from Canada or did you meet him while you were living in the states? How long were you married?
0 -
Linda, yes I married a Canadian man in 1968 at age 17. We were married from 1968 to 1980 and then I was on my own, a young widow. Raised the children as Single until they got married, my son got married at 19 and I was a first time Grandma before I was 40. Grandma in late 30’s 😳 but a proud one, Bailey Judith Anne: Anne was the other Grandma! They had one more girl. My daughter was married in her 20’s and had their first Live baby a Girl, Nyla and then had a Boy, Logan. Lynn and Darren lost 2, 1st miscarriage was early at 2.5 months but 2nd one at 5 months 😥
Barb, yes I have lived in so many places and my family. You brought back memories when you spoke about camping. My husband and I did a lot of camping and I continued after I was on my own. My kids loved camping, and we roughed it, tent and cooking on open fire. Loved every moment of it. I continue to keep HH in prayer and Harry3. Yes it tough now but am hoping things will improve soon. It’s hard when both can’t sleep with the coughing and choking.
Susan. I hadn’t thought about having a newer Model of my Big Shot. And my Big Shot was a Gift from the Church, my group I taught Bible to thank me at end of season before we broke for summer holidays. They also included Dies and Embossing Folders as they knew I loved making cards and doing Crafts and Scrapbooking. Such kindness shown. I am sure you will be able to figure out the chords for playing in church your Ukulele!
Will close for now, Good Night God Bless! 🙏😴🤗

Good Morning.
Judith, that's is so nice about what the church did for you. They obviously value you highly! I liked reading about your family life, too. It would have been so challenging being a young widow, raising kids on your own then becoming a young Grandma. I'm sorry for your daughter's loses. You would have become strong through your experiences but even more so after becoming a Christian. You did a lot on your own before welcoming the Lord into your life. I admire you.
Linda, isn't it annoying when we can't find something like that? I went through a lot of my craft room looking for something yesterday. I didn't find it, either. Maybe today. Oh, the wildfires are still close? I hope they burn out or are extinguished soon. Is your trailer in danger? Thinking of you as you remain vigilant.
Barb, I read about Harry3 wanting to go back to rehab too and about their disturbed nights. It also concerned me that he has had several falls. It was a big thing to go from full, live in rehab to home life with very little rehab. I hope they can figure out something that will help them all. This is a huge challenge. You must often feel helpless too, offering help but not having it accepted. Hugs to you all.

Wow, Judith so young when got married, then my mom was 17 & 18 having me. So you have some games I heaven also due to miscarriages too. So young having grands so,that was a nice reward from God, So glad it all worked out for you. I’m sure it was hard at the time.
We had a pop, up, trailer but cooked outside. So a bit of roughing it I guess slept,I sleeping bagsSusan. Hearing about your stamp in classes sound interesting so glad you have that. I. Sure it feels good having the company all calm down.
Yes Mariposa party was good. I think HH likes to,vent & knows by venting instead of asking us and prayong she gets answers from her church. I guess they are going to try a wedge pillow. Dad-Harry, suggested he stay there pver night but they said no. Just keep prayong. In 8 days rehab out patient starts. She is getting a hour of PT and OT. So Thats good Louise, Harry sister, aunt has him standing so that’s good. The PT he has is from mid America and it’s all lying down We have him do some steps and use the walker too.Linda so I think we are hotter and tomorrow is our last day of this it’s our humidity that is high when your low is 76-78* it’s bad our heat index is 105-110* uck A cold front comes in tomorrow night so that will be good lows going down inthe 60’s yeah!!
sorry about the smoke fires I hope they go away or get taken care of soon has there been lots of homes burned I’m glad we don’t have any but have and them this year too you and Glenn ok and don’t have any breathing problems with them? 🙏🏻
Thank you for the prayers I’m sure once the H’s get their routine down they will be fine praying God gives them wisdom.
I’ve been told now to come between 1-2 instead of when he has PTSleep well and happy Tuesday Susan
