We had a great trip over the mountain today. The traffic was busy on the other side of the road but our side was not much. We had a cloudless day and the weather was 10 degrees warmer when we got to the other house. We listed to our church's sermon online as we traveled then attended the 4pm service at the church here. Both sermons were good and gave us lots of things to think about. We had a potluck after the service and since we just arrived at our house 45 minutes before we had to get to the service, we just bought some fruit. I did not have time to cook anything. I was up early this morning making artisan bread for the family before we left. It was my first try and it was OK. I need to try again with a different recipe I think.

Sounds like such a lovely day, Linda. Glad you arrived safely. We are at a caravan park tonight in a place that looks like a botanical garden.

Our minister just sent us a note today saying that he had just tested positive for covid. He had a scratchy throat when he preached Sunday but had taken a test on Saturday and was negative. He is so sorry to have exposed us all but we are getting exposed everywhere we go now a days. We also had a potluck meal all together so we are watching closely to see if any of us show any symptoms in the next few days.

Susan I hope you are having good traveling weather.

Judith - I am glad that when you do not feel well you can feel safe to take a day off from posting. We understand that you have good and bad days. We think of you every day and pray for you.

Today is National Spouse Day. I am go grateful to be married to a devoted Christian man who is so kind, loving, and patient with me and encourages me to be my best for God.

I woke up during the night with a irritated throat and a runny nose but by the time I got up I was fine. I think I was mouth breathing and my throat was dry and my CPAP machine was irritating my nose. I let my immagination get the best of me thinking that I was getting covid from my exposure on Sunday. When I am half asleep, I can believe a lot of strange things! I am grateful for good health today.

Praying you all don't get Covid, Linda, and for your Pastor to recover soon and without complications. I understand about the dryness from a sleep apnea machine because I also use one, and about what we can tell ourselves in the half asleep state. Hugs.

Judith, it's just good to know you feel up to posting sometimes! I hope you are getting some quality rest and recuperation times. 🙏

    Marilyn, those are interesting thoughts.

We had a night in a free camp last night, close to the highway. The traffic noise kept me awake along with the rain and noise from other campers. This morning in the pre dawn light the local Kookaburras started a noisy conversation. Ah well. Today we should be home and tonight I can sleep in my house bed with no traffic noise.

We came across a tree full of Flying Foxes (bats) yesterday. Thought you might be interested in seeing them. They make a lot of noise too! They love fruit trees so farmers are always trying to keep them away from orchards.

Hello everyone! We arrived home yesterday afternoon and have been busy cleaning and unpacking ever since. It feels good to be home. Even with family, visitors get a bit like 3 day old fish at a certain point. Lol!

I am taking my time today comma relaxing and enjoying the peace of being at home. I'm washing and reorganising things. We need to spend a day at the caravan cleaning it and restocking it. I'm also restocking my grocery shelves at home by ordering things online.

Judith, it is so good to have you back. I'll keep praying for you. It's good to know that you pray for us as well.

Linda, how are things going? Have you had any results back about the tests? Praying for you too.

Marilyn, you always find such a nice graphics with thoughtful words to match. Thank you. I hope your pain levels are good today.

Take care, all of you. May the Lord bless and keep you all. xxx

Infection in big toe is getting better but the nail needs to be tended too - looks like I will have to have the complete toenail permanently removed in order not to have the problem again - with being a diabetic it is not good to keep having the same problem over and over - so just waiting for the infection to get somewhat better then will see what the doctor says - and am sure he is going to send me to the foot specialist.

Am hopeful that all 3 of us will be able to get our booster shot next week - will be good to have that over with - and am so looking forward to when things improve with this covid numbers getting smaller though when that happens I think I am going to be one of those that still won't venture too far from home just in case.

    Be blessed everyone

Susan - that picture of the bats in the trees is amazing. I am watching a bunch of crows in our tree in the backyard. Some are sitting together and it looks like the two of them are having quite a conversation. they are very noisy so I am glad that they are quiet at night. I am so glad you got home safely. I know the feeling of having to clean, reorganize and restock for the next trip. It is always good to get home and the freedom of having your own comfortable bed to sleep in.

So far, everyone who was sick are feeling better and those of us who did not get it are feeling safer. It is the few days before you know you are negative that can be unsettling. Every ache and pain, sniffle, and/or cough make my imagination run wild.

Judith - good to hear from you anytime you feel like posting. Thank-you for letting us share your burdens. I hope it helps lighten them a little.

We were gone most of the day traveling. My husband surprised me this morning saying he wanted us to take the day off and go to our mountain property to check the depth of the snow. It is not very deep so it will probably be a dry summer again unless we get more snow in the next two months. My cleaning I had planned did not get done but it was great to just get away for a while.

Judith - thank-you for your steadfastness in your faith in God. You are an inspiration to us.

Linda, how lovely to get a surprise day away like that. You're right, cleaning can always wait!

Marilyn, I do hope they take care of your tow properly. Having diabetes would make you very protective of your feet. Take care.

Judith, good to see you here yesterday. Linda said it - you inspire me too with your practical faith.

I think I missed logging in yesterday. I was very tired and just needed rest. Wechad online church today and I did nothing else much, except for making us meals.

    God bless you all.

I watched online church from Denver this morning and will attend in person church at 4pm today.

I have been reading a book "An Aging Grace" which is a compilation of essays on aging gracefully. Today I read "God's gift of aging helps us gain humility as we lose physical strength and control, so that we might more tightly hold to God's strength and control. God's grace allows us to experience the winter of life, and thereby more eagerly await the spring, when all things are made new." This is an interesting thought as I feel the effects of aging. Instead of complaining about aches and pains, loss of height, and tiredness, if I saw it as a way to hold more tightly to God and his strength, I would see the blessing aging can bring.
