What a wonderful man! I "gave" him a thank-you card last week for bringing hankies to us with his mare. He said we are the nicest and helpful people he has ever met.

My next door neighbor "Dave" asked us to pray for his son's recovery from cancer surgery. The son is very depressed with some complications he is having. (This is true but his name is not Dave - I just needed to fit into this thread. LOL)

The whole family needs support! They have had to made visits to the Emergency Room lately to deal with his complications. They feel like they are tossed in the storms of life and need some protection in their lives like a boat in a "cove" with calm waters during the storm. They are believers and have a strong faith which is good but are getting tired.

Working together for everyone's good reminds me of busy bees in their "hive". Their hard work results in delicious results.

Have you seen the bees as they jive? They do these dances as a means of communicating.

The bee's dance dive is so fun to watch. They jump and "dive" with beautiful graceful movements.

Yes they do. Bees are the bee's knees. They can spin on a dime.

spinning bees are amazing. I wonder if they would spin if they tasted something sour like a "lime"?

Not much happening on the lime experiment with the bees. I guess I am not destined to have "fame" since the experiment stopped before it got started. (I started with a big doubt in the first place.)

Yes Susan the Same, we agree no Limes for the Bees: Sorry Linda, just didn’t sound right giving Bees Limes, anyway we tried now we move forward as always. We will have to see about having some succulent fruit pods made for our garden that the Bees will enjoy eating!

I think bees eat nectar and pollen so I will look for some flowers in bloom for them. I would not like to see their interest fade in staying in our area. Then they would swarm and move the hive! Oh no!

I read a story last week about bees in France that were making honey that was green (like "jade"), red and blue. They discovered that the hives were close to a candy factory that was throwing out their waste from the candies and the bees were eating the sugar and the coloring and making colorful honey. It must have seemed to be a good source of sweets for the bees. I don't know if there were no flowers around or not. It was supposed to be a true story.

Wow that is interesting Linda, Jade Honey, it would seem strange eating Jade colored honey! Yes Susan they love the nectar from the flowers, my hanging baskets sure attracted the bees, they had a feast. I had to be careful when watering the plants as the bees were always there and I didn’t want to get stung. So we can put our heads together and ask Mr Green Jeans if he has made some hanging Flowering baskets we can use so our bees are well fed!

How pretty hanging baskets of flowers would be, Judith. In Australia we have the bigger, stinging bees but we also have little Bush Bees who cannot sting. My brother-in-law keeps them (for real). One variety can bite! But he keeps the ones who cannot bite or sting. They make honey from the wild, flowering trees in the rain forest. Their honey is usually darker than the bigger bees' honey, so maybe the candy factory story is understandable! They do lade themselves with pollen and nectar.

Yes, colored honey would be strange. I like golden honey - like the mother "lode" vein of gold in a mine.

Thr bees must have a code for creating thr honey and working out its colour.

The bees must have a good communication code since they are so organized. I do not understand their "mode" of communication but it seems to work well.
