Great Idea Linda, let’s Host a Huge Party so all of our Friends are included. We can Show them all a good time!
SHOW0 -
I like that idea, Linda. It would be a great way to get together to socialise and the only cost would be our time!
COST1 -
The cost of time it will take is not much to be considering the wonderful conversations we would have "lost" if we did not do this.
LOST1 -
Yes We can Show everyone a Good time, that’s right Susan the only Cost would be our Time, yes Linda I wouldn’t want to even think about the Lost conversations if we didn’t do this. I believe Most will want to attend, what an awesome time we will have! I believe Most of the Town Folks will come.
MOST0 -
I think this is something we must do. For ourselves and the town folk..
MUST
1 -
we need to advertise these gatherings. a tall "mast" of a boat would be seen by many people. we could put signs on y=there.
MAST1 -
Yes Susan this is a Must and good idea Linda advertising on a Tall Mast on our Largest Sail Boat we have anchored in our Harbour! We can get a Large Signage and attach it to the Stem of the Mast!
STEM0 -
With the signage on the tall mast, we might bring in other people to "meet" who become our friends who happen to float past our boat from other cities.
MEET1 -
Yes Linda that’s great to bring in many people from other cities to meet. We can make a great Team by having a Signage attached to our Mast! This is exciting to have a great plan to Meet others from neighbouring cities.
TEAM0 -
I love these ideas. Boats are fun! I am curious. Is the mast made out of teak? Maybe the people we meet on the boats can tell us.
TEAK1 -
Thank you Susan, Not sure but think the Boat is made out of Team and it’s a very sturdy wood and Teak guards against any Leak in the Boat. So very safe for us!
LEAK0 -
Teak is a very strong wood. Even a bird with q very strong "beak" could not damage the mask by pecking on it.
BEAK1 -
Teak is a good wood, alright. I'm glad they didn't build with weak wood!
WEAK1 -
Yes Teak is a very good Wood, no Wear and Tare on Teak Wood, a wonderful wood to build with!
WEAR0 -
I have some teak salad dishes that my MIL had that are very tough. I "care" for them because I can remember eating so many delicious things out of them.
CARE1 -
What wonderful memories your salad bowls mustcevoke, Linda. Glad you care for your teak bowls. Judith, teak is such a good wood. Cane ware doesn't hold a candle to them.
CANE1 -
That’s awesome Linda that you have those memories of the Teak Salad Bowls and Susan yes good point to make about the Cane! Which brings me to a thought that I remember Mr Green Jeans and his wife opened up a Teak Wood Store down the (Lane) in the next community not too far from us. They have all kinds of Dining-room tables and chairs made of Teak and have Salad Serving Utensils, Salad Serving Bowls and Side Salad Bowls. I think they have every kind of articles made of Teak Wood.
LANE0 -
I would love to go to Mr Green Jean's store some time. It sounds fascinating. Is the store close to the ranch that has that pony with the famous golden "mane". People drive for miles to get a glimpse of this magnificent animal.
MANE1 -
Oh wow, what a treat is in store for us, to see the pony with the golden mane and to see the Teak Store down the lane. Can I bring my friend Jane?
Jane1 -
I am looking forward to both places, the Ranch to see the Pony with the Mane Linda and to see the Teak Store down the Lane, and yes Susan, bring along your Friend Jane: Jane will love seeing the magnificent Pony with the Mane and the Teak Store, did I tell you that in the Teak Store Mr Green Jeans has a corner in the store that he sells Cane, many make some lovely things with Cane, it’s a hard and sturdy material.
CANE0 -
I hope that my hip is feeling well enough to go down the lane to see the cane and teak as well as the magnificent pony's mane. It would be a great "bane" to me to have to miss this.
BANE1 -
Linda it would be a Great Bane to miss going down the Lane to see the Teak and Cane shop as well as the Pony’s Mane; and I wouldn’t want you to miss seeing Mr Green Jean’s New “Great Dane Puppy” who is now the Teak Shop Mascot! Hope you can join us Linda?
“DANE”
(Great Dane Puppy)0 -
Oh, wow, I will enjoy seeing the Great Dane puppy and hope nothing stops any of us visiting the store! I hear Mr Green Jeans has named his new puppy Tane, a good name for both a male or female dog!
TANE0 -
Yes Susan Tane is a great name for the puppy. I forgot to tell you that Mr Green Jeans installed big Picture Windows at the Teak Store. The Windows have a large Pane of Glass in each section which allows a great view inside the store from outside.
PANE0 -
Oh, that's nice, Judith. We will probably be able to see Tane through the window panes too. Does he also have pine furniture?
PINE1 -
Pine has a wonderful smell but I am afraid that if I bought the furniture, unless it was finished well, there might be some sticky sap on the pine. It is hard to remove the sap from my hands when I am picking pine cones. I might have to defer the call pine furniture "mine" if it is sappy.
MINE1 -
Yes Susan he has Pine Furniture. Pine is beautiful which reminds me of all the rows of Pine Trees that line the Lane leading to the store. Linda you bring up a good point about the sap that is sticky, I remember as a child picking up pine cones and hands can get sticky, Mine were for sure. The Pine Trees that Line the Lane to the store look lovely. Did you know there are Nine Trees along the Lane.
NINE0 -
Oh, I do hope Mr Green Jeans makes his furniture from treated pine! I wouldn't like sap oozing out of it either, even though it smells good. Judith, how lovely to have nine pines lining the lane. I don't have enough space to grow trees so have none here.
NONE1 -
I do love pine trees in nature. The really tall ones that look like a "cone" made wonderful Christmas trees. You can put things on it that contains seeds and other food to feed the birds too since it is outdoors.
CONE1 -
So sorry to hear that you have None Susan too bad you don’t have the Space for Pine Trees. And Linda I too love the Pine Trees that are so tall and they look like a Cone shaped tree. I have a (Lone) Pine Tree that is in a Shape of a Cone and my other tree is tall and bushy.
