The pith would give us good fiber if we eat it. Maybe we need to take this "hint" for more fiber and our intestinal tract will thank us.
HINT1 -
But what about eating a pint of pith? I think goats could thrive outside a Juice Bar with their juicers full of pith!
PINT1 -
Indeed, when I think about juice bars and all the pith which at end of the day sadly gets thrown away, I hope they at least have a compost. I am sure the poor goats Pant at the Juice Bar hoping for some Pith
PANT0 -
I think goats should be a part of every juice bar's business plan!
PART1 -
Goats would love all that pith! They especially love fruits so if they have "pear" pith they would jump in excitement.
PEAR1 -
Yes I agree Susan, let’s try and promote that next time we are at the Juice Bat
And Linda I could see the Goats jumping up excitement seeing the Pear Pith! I wonder if the Goats would like Peas from the veggie Bar in town?
PEAS0 -
I think the goats would say 'yes, please' to the peas, Linda. And to the pears, Judith. As far as I know from owners of goats, their pets eat everything!
PETS0 -
Yes goats will eat lots of vegetables and fruits. I was raised around goats and know though that they will not eat tin cans as some people think. They actually eat the labels off the cans to get to the glue. They also will not eat food that has been on the floor or moldy feed. They loved to eat burdock and thistles that have really prickly spines on them. They rolled them into a tube shape with their tongues so the spikes were on the inside and did not prickle their tongues. "Lets" say a cheer for all the goats do for us by eating the weeds that prickle our legs as we walk on the farm.
LETS1 -
Yes Linda I give thumbs up for all the good they do, and yes their Pets eat everything Susan except for the tin cans Linda said. So I join Linda Let’s give cheers to the good our Goats do for us.
And if our Goats try and eat a tin can I will have Nets handy to catch and pull the goat 🐐 away!
NETS0 -
Be careful Judith, the goat might eat your net. You know that they like to chew on things. My rabbits also liked to chew on things. One day I was standing next to the cage and I was wearing my mom's long scarf. The scarf was against the cage and the rabbit pulled on it and eventually it "eats" a hole in it. My mom was not very happy about that!

Thanks for the warning Linda, I hadn’t thought about the Goats chewing on the Nets. Yes I could understand your Mom being unhappy about the Goat causing a Hole in the scarf as he Eats through the scarf. And besides the Goats we need to watch out for the Bats in the area!
