A nice cold soda on a hot day is refreshing as well as playing the the stream of cold water from a "hose" when I was much younger and I had the energy.

You made me LOL 😂 Susan as when I a young child I did the same thing & had Huge water fights with my cousins! We had Spray bottles filled with water and ran around the yard chasing each other around the back yard spraying each other with mega water. Heaps of fun 🤩 Then after we all were soaking wet we gave each other Hugs and started all over again! 😆

Not only did the water fights cool us off, it also scared the "bugs" (flies and mosquitoes) away with our loud yells.

A water fight of the century with mugs, jugs and my pet "Pugs" to run between us and get caught in our feet so we fall down. Oh to be young again and not be afraid of breaking anything when we fall.

Rugs must be protected because they can get very heavy when water soaked. Anyone who has to take them out to dry remembers the strength it took to get them out of the house. A disobedient child might get a strong talking to directly into their "lugs" (ears) to make sure they heard well for the next time.
