I had a feeling your week would be momentous because your losses have been so study (and you're working so hard)...last week your weigh in was the same and I literally told myself...watch out for this guy next week, he's gonna have quite the drop! Congrats!! Hard work pays off!!
10th grade...that's amazing! So, have you started to think about what your ultimate goal is at this point?
I just ordered 4 pr of pants, one size smaller. I haven't been in that size since right after college, so I know what you mean!! I'm very hard to fit anyway and they were on sale with free shipping, so I said why not. It's more incentive to keep pushing forward! To be honest, I know I'm losing more in inches now than I am pounds, especially with all the walking I'm doing each month. I just love the way I'm feeling better and better each month.
CONGRATS again, my friend...keep up the great work!

Last week, I reported that I had a DEXA bone density scan but hadn’t received the results yet. I contacted my doctor and learned I have some early signs of osteopenia - or bone thinning - so I’ll be adding a couple of new nutrition goals: (1) track my calcium intake more carefully and (2) increase my vitamin D and calcium as needed. I already incorporate a lot of body weight exercises into my workouts but may need to increase my weightlifting. I just thought it was worth mentioning the benefits of weight bearing exercise, especially for those of you approaching menopause or who have already experienced the resulting body changes.
Sending peace, love, and energy to anyone who needs a little extra boost this week!5 -

Struggling with trying to keep my calories steady while dealing with an increased appetite from weight lifting. When I'm working during the week it's easier to have a protein shake first when I start craving something, but I didn't do that this weekend and ended up snacking too much.2 -

Hi --
@jessicakrall8 I'm sorry I've been MIA! Clearly I should've waited to join til March 🤦♀️
I'm almost done all my graduate school interviews and hopefully when that's over I can get back to focusing, because this group immensely helped me when I was able to mentally commit. Unfortunately I've been all over the place recently (and it shows on the scale...)
Most recent weigh-in: 177.8
Hoping to do better next month, sorry again.2 -

Hi Guys and Happy Friday!! Busy day at work, but I got up early again this morning and walked for nearly a half hour, then did a brief walk on my break to make sure I got my half hour in for the day. Been walking a lot today and hit my step goal before I left work, so I think I'll end up close to, if not over, 8k for the day. Not too shabby.
So, what's the plan for everyone's weekend. I was going to walk after dropping my car off at the dealership in the morning to do my annual state inspection but it's going to be cold with a chance of rain...so much for that plan! I guess I'll get them to drop me home, or I might wait and just walk around the service center. I'll play that one by ear. Don't have a lot scheduled for the weekend, just a few things around the house. Got a movie I want to watch and a book to finish reading. IMPORTANT WORK THERE! LOL
Oh yeah, I hit my 38 intentional mile goal this morning for February!! I'm gonna do 40 for March! YAY!
Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

I’m probably going to try to maintain this week. Had some lower back issues and the bad weather has not cooperated with my walking routine. I’ve had some other things take priority this past week so I think I should just acknowledge that and move on.3 -
@jessicakrall8
Just wanted to confirm I will be coming back for March. I would also like to be joining the step challenge again with 12.000 steps. While I haven't been posting here, I did keep that up for the whole of February; that's one habit I didn't ruin at least. I will post my horrible starting weight in the new thread tomorrow.
Good job on finishing your miles for the month!1 -

I am happy with my weight this week even though it is a gain. I spent close to 2 weeks traveling and vacationing this month. Previously I would be up a lot. I made a conscious effort to not over eat and to have an active vacation. I swam more than 1 km through a river and caves in Mexico and went for a 5km walk in Jasper Alberta on the ice in a canyon.
I will be home the month of March, and the weather should improve making activity a little easier.
Then away again to Virginia in April.5 -

The scale went in the wrong direction 😕 this week. We had a celebratory Italian dinner yester evening - my daughter got student of the month @ school (Yay!) - probably went overboard with the warm brioche and garlic dipping oil.
Shifts at work have increased my responsibilities and workload. I'll have to figure out how to keep/maintain my health habits (logging, meals, lunch walks) without getting overwhelmed and letting work take priority.

Hello All, thank you for welcoming me to Shape Shifters! I am excited to be here.
I'm a 47 yo female in MI. I have struggled with weight my entire life. I have also struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my adult life. Living in the COVID era has intensified the depression.
I first joined MFP in 2012 to get healthier. I was working a job that had me on my feet 10 hours a day with an hour lunch and access to a free gym I utilized Monday through Friday. I had success with this setup and had my eating, anxiety, and depression under control. In 2017 I took a promotion that had me sitting at a desk for 75% of my day but I managed to maintain my previous success. I was able to join a gym and my living situation made it easy for me to prioritize my health and fitness.
Fast-forwarding to today, I have gained back everything I lost and then some. I am very near going back on medication for depression and anxiety which I do not want to do. The meds are not for me, I find some of the side effects are worse than my issues, so I prefer to manage through exercise. I joined Noom for a bit but I did not find it helpful. I already knew much of the information I was being "taught." Needing a more social environment since I have little support for my goals in my current living situation, I have returned to MFP in search of a community I can lean on when times are tough.
I have started running again, which has been tough, I have been battling breathing issues unrelated to COVID since the start of my training in January. But I keep pushing through. If anyone here is a runner and uses a Garmin I would love to have more connections. Just look for MJ Reeves
I have no friends left from my original time spent here. I would love to add some friends. I am a bit introverted at times so I may not always respond quickly, please do take that personal.
I look forward to our journies together!
