Good Evening Everyone!
My MFP app won't let me log in...grrrr. Oh well. Won't be tracking till I get it working. Doing it on my phone with the website is way to slow.
Today has been cold with a few flurries. Went to Mom's church as we had flowers in the alter in memory of Mom and Dad. Mom always did them at this time as my Dad passed away in November of 2008. They also had soup day and bake sale to raise funds for a local organization. After that came home and did some laundry. Took my huge blanket to my friends as she has a washer and dryer to clean it. Watched the Lions with there game then came home to watch the Raiders and get more stuff done. Back to work tomorrow. This week is going to be an extremely long week as I will be working 2 full days as I need to learn the breakfast and lunch shift. I am also working Friday as the girl who normally works dinner shift that day got a new job and can't work it. Lots of hours this week. Tuesday I get off half hour early as I have a fairboard meeting @ 7:30.1 -
Diane, you did a beautiful job on repurposing the cabinet. The colors are bright and cheerful. Sorry that you haven't had snow yet. I'll do my best to send ours to you.
Tabatha, with the holidays on the horizon, wouldn't that help with shipt orders? Hoping that business will be booming for you and tippers will be generous.
@macrat12 sounds like you are doing really good and glad you are at peace and calm!
@Kurtize: A smart home sounds like fun but the learning curve is probably beyond me. Let's hope you understand the heating system before it gets any colder. Brrrrrr.
Connie, as usual you have a lot going on. Glad you will get more hours and hope that there is less drama this week at work.
As evening settles, Billie just walked into the door. I just discovered this afternoon that she likes to hang out with our neighbors who are hunting. One of the young men said that Billie sat with him during bow season and that she is no problem. Another neighbor said that Billie jumped into his truck, sat next to him and they drove to the hunting site together. (The secret life of my dog. I might have to let her write another post so I know what she is doing).
Tomorrow's word is TENDERNESS.

@Cseguin2 ,,,, Have you uninstalled the app and reinstall it? Sometimes that'll work with the App. You've had a busy day and will hopefully sleep so soundly you'll wake up all "OH WOW That FELT SO GOOD!" Well I hope so!! Sounds like a busy week at work. It'll be fun to learn breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is always one everyone looks forward to ,,, more comfort types of food. Oh man I SHOULD make some baked oatmeal instead of typing here!! Everyone LOVES it and it's so versatile! LOL it's so super easy! YUMMY!! Hope the learning and work goes very well !
@Novembergail,,,,,, LOLOL OH LAUGHING SO HARD at Billie!! LOL OH MY YES indeed the secret life of Billie!! LOL that's so cute!! WELL she's clearly a very very friendly dog!! She's so cute!! LOL AND WELL behaved it seems, most of the time, and for others. LOL She's way to cute!! Awwww the kitties!! They DO have Izzy approval!! She's laying on my lap, but I think she'd be a tiny bit happier, maybe not,,, having her night time YUMMY!!! But, she's all curled up and purring away. Oh Gail we need to figure out how we are going to get the car taken care of when it snows out!! I have a FEW healthy neighbors, not many, but a few. I might be able to get one of them to clean it off for us for pay.3 -

I hope you are all having a good morning. Today is going to be a good day. I think it is great that we are all doing well and we are all getting through the days the best we can. Some days are definitely better than others. I want this week to be a good week.
@Kurtize - Smart houses are great. They do so much for themselves. Hopefully you are able to get the furnace working without the app. I have heard that sometimes stuff has to have the app to run
@Dianedoessmiles1 - I did have a well rested day. We went to Joe's niece's 10th Birthday Party. that was last minute. I did take one order yesterday. It took me to almost the $100 mark for the week. It all goes into the wedding fund though.
@CSEGUIN2 - I have a meeting tonight. I have to go for the Executive meeting for the Pride board. I just have to finish out this year. I have to. I don't want to leave them stranded. We had flurries yesterday too. It was super cold. I got through it though. I had a hoodie I wore almost all day. I hope it will go quickly for you tomorrow. I really hope it does.
@NovemberGail - I am hoping it does as well. It would be nice. I do need to get some decent tips to help get to my goal. I would like $100 a week for the wedding fund. If I can do that it would be great. I would be freaking out if my dog were just roaming around randomly. That is the difference in where we live.

Good morning Patti...I woke to snow flurries and a soft blanket of white covering all the faded Autumn glory. Temps are almost to single digit but not quite yet..bet they will be by nightfall!!
Oh Billie,,,what an exciting life you live!! She must have been a hunting dog at some point. Neat that the neighbors just include her in their day trips..but wouldn't you prefer they let you know before hauling her off somewhere?? I like the word of the day..Tenderness is much needed and rarely practiced .
Diane..cabinet is great..when will you start on mine?? Been waiting long time !! Seriously I need to decide on a color and get busy I have the trim , I have the flooring.. I need to get hinges and two handles..but already know those will be silver..continuous debate on a dark forest green or a light gray...the walls are a pale greenish gray and the shower is gray grained marble effect. Yes I like gray in all its shades!! but need to finish this bathroom someday..oh almost forgot need new light fixtures..right now is those ancient single globes ..70's style..hey it lights up the room!!
I got beans cooking..and tortilla's out..cheese ready to grate and hamburg to fry up with onions...tis a burrito making kinda day!!
Off to tend to the pups ..they think they should be fed too..imagine that!3 -
Good afternoon everyone! it is a beautiful cool day here today. my daughter says hi to all. i am really enjoying the challenge! both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i did my strength training workout earlier this morning and i really enjoyed it. i went for a walk a while ago and i feel great! i will be doing some dancing later on. over the weekend i helped one of my friends with housework and running some errands. i like to help others as often as i can. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.2

Good Evening Everyone!
Today was cold but sunny. If it wasn't for Hubby my Son and I would have missed the bus. As we knew we were going to be early for his appointment we had planned to have breakfast at Tim Hortons. His orthodontist appointment went extremely well. He came out and said "There's good news and bad news." Of course I ask for the good news first. "The orthodontist says my mouth is moving and he his happy with the progress." Then I ask for the bad news. "I have to come back in 5 weeks." LoL he is so funny sometimes. He then got picked up for work. On my way home I stopped to grab a few groceries. The residents had garden salad, spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread, potato soup and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. Since I posted last night more has been added to my schedule 🙄. We are doing Christmas cookie baking on Saturday with the family. Mom use to do this but now I have taken it over. So on Wednesday morning I need to get the cookie dough made ready as it's the only morning I have available. We normally wouldn't do the cookies till December but with the family Christmas before Christmas and my oldest nephews hockey tournaments it is what it is.1 -
I better clarify that Billie is only taken up the hill from my cottage. She can come back home without having to go across the street. She is safe with them. If she were anything other than a Beagle, I would be so protective. She is her own little person. Today she was out with me in the field and finally I had to bring her in because she was trying to dig to China again. I had to pick her up to go into the mule and then had to pick her back up to put her in the house. She would have been out of her collar in a millisecond if I had not hold her.
One - two inches of snow tomorrow. Diane, can you call the local school and see if any of the teens need service hours? Or, any of the youth at your church?
This is my favorite photo of my dog before Billie. Allie was a wild girl and one that I kept quite close. She would not have a clue how to handle herself in the woods. But like Billie, she managed to get skunked (two times).

@Tabatha_Cain ,, Hopefully you'll be able to get the funds, and if not,, OOPS maybe something can be cut back a bit? Or changed a little bit?
@Patti241 ,, it's 11:06 and already down to 26 they are saying the low will be 24. I turned my heat down, LOL maybe it needs to be up a little bit. It's barely on.
@Katiecondy1 ,, if the cabinet is small I'd do it in a forest green, but if it's a pretty big piece I'd learn more towards the gray. or you can ask them for a sample size of both and see which you like the best on it? OH GF today I got me a NEW TOY a jigsaw!! I love the smell of cut wood, and in my mind I THINK I AM BOB VILVA!! Of course my skill level is brand spanking new!! I am watching everything FIRST on safety!! That's only smart, the guy at the store Lowe's did talk to me quite a bit, but with so many eons of how to use properly videos we KNOW I'll exercise caution above all else!! THough he did get to laughing harder perhaps then he SHOULD of when I said "Ehhhh I'm missing a toe, so if I miss a finger ,, well they'll match!! BUT it makes counting to 10 harder!" I do have safety glasses which is a MUST of course. GO REALLY SLOW of course and the wood I cut must be secure so it does not slip. Of course all eyes always on my work and not on Izzy. Etc. Etc. Etc. You know I'll be smart about this! I also can ask my brothers for any hints from what they've learned. LOL Knowing me one of them will INSIST he does STUFF FOR ME, but if I wanted that I'd of ASKED!! A friend who has moved in uses hers all the time and of course wants to be here at first.
@Cormierannie ,, Are you thinking of volunteering for more tennis games etc. this coming year? Is it something you can sign up for ahead of time?

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is going to be a good day. I am hoping that my co workers are all at work today and we don't have another day where it is only one other person and I to deal with the whole office. I am hoping that it will be a good day today.
@katiecondy1 - I am redoing my master bedroom so here soon we will probably be knocking out the plaster on the walls, rewiring the bedroom, and then putting up drywall. We will then of course have to paint the walls and mudd the walls and sand the walls. All that fun stuff. I agree that I wouldn't want my dog just going off somewhere without being told they are doing so.
@cormierannie - I can tell you like helping other people. You are always helping someone. You are great at it too.
@CSEGUIN2 - My Mom and I usually do Christmas Cookies a month a head of time and then we freeze them until Christmas. So it is ok if you do them early.
@NovemberGail - I am glad you feel safe about your dog going. It is nice that you live somewhere you don't have to keep the dog in a fenced in yard. That is what I have to do. If I don't they will either get hit by a car or stolen.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - I am thinking we will get the money. I know ways to cut costs so no big deal. I told the co president I would not be available to volunteer for a while. She was so upset. She said I was on the executive team and I am held to a higher standard and not able to take time off. I told her I would quit the board if she didn't give me the time I need.

Good morning, @Dianedoessmiles1 knows how I love to do laundry and this morning I watched a video on how to fold a couple of things differently like fitted sheets. I am going to watch that part again and maybe play with my towels one day - I don't have a lot of hoodies but I do have a couple. @Tabatha_Cain, sure hope all employees show up - I know my old place of employment had high turnover in Alberta because it was better to work with the oil companies then the government so they often quit to go work elsewhere. Now none of them have a steady job thanks to the oil issues ... choices are what they are .. sounds like you have good plans for your house too.
@NovemberGail so cool you can do that with Billie and funny about the digging, not for you of course, my friend's dog Bunker tends to dig too ...
@Kurtize I like to read the posts on the phone but not answer as I like to post gif's at times and the phone is different, have to download it and sometimes they just do not download. Usually around 8 pm after I have shut down the browser for MFP I use the phone from that point on. How are you doing today ?
@Dianedoessmiles1 oh our Amigo is not well this past weekend, he not interested in foods and barely ate his treats, I am hoping he's just going through a phase, Gene thinks he's gonna wake up one morning to no Amigo - I just told him that Amigo will be fine - he just not having a good week. good morning everyone! it is a cool and mostly cloudy day here today. my daughter says hi to all. both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i went for a short run earlier this morning and i really enjoyed it. i went for a walk a while ago and i feel great! i will definitely be doing some dancing later on. quite a while ago, i signed up to receive emails about upcoming free advance movie screenings. today i was able to get 2 free tickets to see a movie called She said. the movie screening is for tomorrow night and i am going with one of my friends. i am looking forward to spending time with my friend and on seeing the movie. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.2 -
Good afternoon all, another chilly day, cloudy, 42 outside. I would say the shot is working 75%. I have a different kind of sensations, pain but not where I can't stand it, taking Advil and that seems to help and I can get around an do things which I couldn't before. See the dr, Friday.

@Tabatha_Cain ,, Oh I'd quit!! It's a volunteer position. If you wish later on to do another volunteer position there are TONS to choose from. Perhaps you and H can find one such as habit for humanity (LOL I love that program!) or something else you'll both enjoy.
@Patti241,, AWESOME!! We are colder, but it's far from cold yet. LOL YET!! Come January when I get up and it's -20 plus with the wind chill. I just laugh. Its so rare that even in the 40s I'm in a sweatshirt. LOL Outside I am not cold, but INSIDE??? My place feels chili if it's under 74. Sometimes it needs to be warmer, but I am on so many meds that thin my blood it makes sense. A friend stopped by last week, her face was turning purple/red. I THINK the heat was WAS WAY TO MUCH, but she didn't say anything!! I need to tell her to ALWAYS SPEAK UP and REMIND me I can always put on more clothes and I'll be FINE!
@Lindiemaep ,,, LOL I now just mainly use 1 sheet and wash it weekly (more if needed) as soon as it's out of the dryer it's back on the bed!! I wanted a specific type, and color. I love this sheet, it's so soft and nice. It goes through a lot and still looks amazing! It just fits my lifestyle of HATING TO FOLD SHEETS!! I've seen many of the fancy ways to put up towels, and they are just fun to play with. The sister who cleans for me has been injured and not here, I am able to keep up though not quite as nicely. I hope Amigo just has a cold, I am pretty sure right now that's what Izzy is also going through. Our poor pets!! I am keeping an eye on her, but it's always iffy when a pet is pretty much chronically ill. Come on Amigo! We know you'll both take him to the vets if needed, and if you can find one.
@Novembergail,, LOLOL it sounds like a puzzle huh? WOW THAT IS GORGEOUS Gail!! Now that WOULD make a very nice puzzle!! It's so pretty!! Many here do puzzles. On each floor we have a small community area, but for us on our floor its by the PHYCHO's unit, we ALL DO NOT USE IT!! I will go up to the next floor though to do theirs. LOL Every place we live if it has over 3 units/apartments you are bound to get a crazy or 2!

Good evening, everyone.
I was grateful for the snow and enjoyed a low-key day. It was a good change of pace not to work outside or clean a cottage and just kind of be. I tried a new recipe for dinner. My entree was acorn squash. The house smelt so good while it was cooking. All I added was butter and some light brown sugar.
This morning I let Billie out and thought for sure she would come right back in. Instead she headed for the other community house (probably to try to get a second breakfast). I come in for lunch, and she is curled up on one of their chairs looking at me: "Where have you been?"

Good Evening Everyone!
LoL my kid is 22 but yes has a very good sense of humor. No 5 week's isn't bad. It doesn't matter to me how often he has to go. He just knows how busy December is for me. Expecially when the appointment fall's.
Today has been cold, rainy and snowy. My weigh-in was not good but not to bad. Based on the scale at TOPS I only gained 1.25 lbs in 2 weeks.
The residents had sausages, oven roasted potatoes, gravy, vegetable soup, corn, and lime jello with fruit cocktail in it. Got off work half hour early and came home to Hubby with takeout. Rushed to eat in 15 minutes before my ride came. Went to the fairboard meeting and got out at a decent hour. On to tomorrow.2 -
@Novembergail ,,, SO PURDY!!! They just said it's snowing in Portland, so I got up,,looked out the window and TADA RAIN!! WAHHHHHH oh COME ON!! LOL I live nearby!
@Cseguin2,, He's a good kid to be not wanting to add more to your very busy Dec Schedule. So cool!! I am hoping I'll get my stuff together and make my 50% I wanted it this week, but I do not think that'll happen. I NEED to get back to eating breakfast and my hot chocolate!! That really does help. YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY din din!! I make my own sausages cause I have NO sodium in them, they aren't any more, if anything they cost less to make. It's only the lb of pork, sage and thyme. That's it, mix it together. I added more sage and thyme then it said. SO YUMMY!!!
@Katiecondy1 ,, THINKING OF YOU!!! LOL I bought some apple pie filling, but I HATE how hard the apples are in it, well until you cook them that is. But, because it's for 2 different things, i am cooking them down. ONE Of the things I am making with them is,,,, TA DA BAKED OATMEAL!!! MAN is THAT STUFF GREAT!!! TY TY TY again for the recipe!! I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is going to be a good day. I am super tired and I have been up since 2 this morning. I just could not sleep. I guess I have a lot on my mind. Not sure why or what is on my mind but it must be there. I know I am thinking about stuff Joe and I have been putting in our book. We got a relationship book from his brother to work through. It is suppose to help strengthen your relationship. I just find that it is not so good. Some things I really did not want to know.
@LindieMaeP - Thank you. I really do have a good plan. I just have to come up with the money for it.
@cormierannie - Have a good time at the movie.
@Kurtize - Glad the shot is working. That is always a good thing.

@Lindiemaep ,, WOOHOO HAPPY to have ya on the IBC!! We hope you'll LOVE IT too!!! The meeting was outstanding. I did zoom it, then I wish I had gone. Been going through some dizziness. I should think of calling RoseMarie for a ride!! DUH!! LOL i am SURE she'd be happy to give me a ride on "those days." LOL She used to pick me up as a teenager!! WHERE HAVE THE YEARS GONE? In turn I've picked her up also. We live only 2 mins away from each other now.
@Tabatha_Cain,, , GOOD DECISION!!! I feel the same about the Council Association where I am!! I've done this for 3 or 4 years and I AM SO DONE!! Today is our NEXT TO THE LAST Meeting with me as President!! LOL I CAN NOT WAIT TO QUIT!! I am sure you feel like I do "STICK A FORK IN ME!! I AM DONE!!" I wonder if a fork stuck in me would help to get of the hot air, and I'd weigh less? LOLOLOL!! Hey. With the book just because it's there you both do not have to do that. If there are things that make you uncomfy,,, YUP I'd SKIP!!! People change, we all change. What happened in the past does not mean it's the future. We learn, we change for the better or not. @Patti241,,, OH it's very foggy here too. That storm is pretty big to encompass us both!! LOL if it also reaches @Lindiemaep we are in TROUBLE!! LOLOL Linda is in Canada on the west coast. It's also POURING HERE though of course inland and in the mountains SNOW!!! SIGH SIGH SIGH, but I am not moving north or west!! Its fun living on the ocean, any time in the state I get lose (RARE SO RARE ,and well now of course all cars have GPS so there's really NO WAY to get lost) but simply head east. Eventually we hit the ocean, then it's either north or south and HOME!! LOL Tried years ago explaining this to someone who was so LOST!! LOL She did not get it. I had explained going by the sun. I had to give up trying to help her. That just made me laugh so hard. I can't say she appreciated it, but its so basic!!

Good morning, fog alert this morning - but not outside my window, the sunset last night was spectacular as usual and I am so grateful to catch a glimps of that and very thankful as well. Slow day today, Gene has gone to work so quiet here and Amigo is feeling better and on the chair behind me - and relaxing. I have volunteer with my congregation on zoom this afternoon. @Dianedoessmiles1 yes the meeting was awesome as usual we have also been strongly recommended that masks be worn in the KH so we will see - the numbers in Canada are climbing up - some areas higher then others - value of life first right ?
@Tabatha_Cain I am sorry the relationship book caused you stress and lack of sleep. How was Joe? Was he awake too ? I hope today was not too too hard for you - I used to hate going into work on no sleep, so I would not go in! I agree with @Dianedoessmiles1 leave the past in the past ... as much as I love history, I do not live it I just learn and move on.
@Patti241 so you have fog too ? Get ready there's a cold front coming from Canada and it will be cold cold cold - my son has been watching it on the radar but I am thinking those by the ocean should be ok - no snow though ... just cold !
@Dianedoessmiles1 just as well you let someone else do the presidency and just enjoy your apartment as best you can. If we had something like that here ( many condos do ) I would just give them my feed back and walk away - not up to me to implement.

No snow and just cold. After the 70+ temps last week, it's hard to get into these lower temperatures and a stronger breeze today.
Tabatha, you have so much on your plate. When you quit maybe you can slow down for a bit. There is so much extra energy (adrenalin) when making life changes. No wonder you can't sleep.
Diane, God bless the directionally challenged; they too will arrive at a destination. I had to laugh. I once got so turned around driving from MD to WV that I took the wrong turnpike. Ended up two hours out of my way in PA. I knew I was in trouble when the hills turned into mountains and I spotted an Amish buggy. Thought I would never get home (but the scenery was gorgeous).
