@Bookienj,, LOL I looked as forward as the kids did to snow days!! LOL no going in and WOOHOO PAID indeed!! It's Maine so we'd get quite a few. Portland would try to hold off if they felt they could, but they were the biggest school system so they couldn't wait til to much. LOL I'd be sitting here half dressed "just in case." LOL!!
@Lindiemaep ,,,they did, and they are GREAT!!! Bearpaws (a nice knockoff of Uggs) does a very nice job, and are true to size. They fit perfectly and are a nice purple, not a bright purple, but not brown ,, but a nice shade of. I figure they'll look great with my mauve coat. YO I bought that coat many years ago online and it still looks new!! Sometimes it pays to shop online, but if one wants to, I always buy EARLY in the season. I have extra stuff to put into my shoes/boots/sandals. Its such a THRILL to be able to wear regular shoes again!! I AM PAYING for it though, my feet, poor things but they don't hurt.
@Cseguin2 ,, Sounds like a very productive day!! WOOHOO I LOVE THOSE!! YUMMY food for them!! Very yummy stuff!! UGH on that coworker, do they only work there still since it's not easy to find help?
@Novembergail, ,, Awww Billie gal you are looking FINE in your new duds!!! LOL that face "LET ME OUT!" Will she wear the doggie boots? There's so much SALT out here, that dogs where I live should, but many owners say they don't like them. If I had a doggie the moment I came into the lobby they'd be having their little paws taken care of in grand fashion to get off ALL the salt!! Since we are right on the water, once the weather turns its RARE to see the parking lot without ice. It will warm up just barely enough in the day for snow/ice to melt, and run all over the parking lots. At night it'll free up, so out comes the salt trucks, well they are NOT SALT but it's something "natural" that works like salt. Our city forbids any chemicals on the roads or even our personal lawns. Other cities are taking notice of this, and seeing that it's helping the environment or so they say. This end of the city is surrounded by the harbor.3 -

I hope you all are having a good morning. Today is Friday and I am so happy with all the things going on this weekend. I am tired and I just want to relax but I have so much to do. I really don't want to do anything Pride related anymore. I just want to relax. I am so tired of all the things that go one with Pride.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Yesterday was not bad. It could have been worse. I hope today was a good day for you.
@cormierannie - I need to go for a walk. Like a really good walk.

The story behind Billie's coat is that she keeps it on long enough to get to the woods and then she gets out of it. I spend the next day or so looking for her coat. Very seldom is salt used around here so I don't have to worry about Billie's feet.
With the colder temperatures, Billie is quite content to stay in today. Usually she wants her food and then is ready to go play outside. Today is certainly a colder autumn day.

@Tabatha_Cain,,, It's okay to step on down. Just be firm with them because I have NO DOUBT they really like the work you do for them. But, we are all (GULP!! LOL As I put this) replaceable. GULP, but yes, LOL And we all continue to grow, our circumstances change all through life. Changes can be good for us freeing and or exciting. You are clearly entering a new phase of your life. To many balls in the air is to hard to juggle. It'd be nice if you had some quality you and "Almost Hubby" (LOL like that?) time.

I might, but not sure. I need in a few to shower, Laundry needs to be done (SIGH wish I had my own washer/dryer in my place, instead of having to be dressed to use the ones here, they are very nice, brand new , kept well, aarrgghhh but how do you keep ALL clean clothes if you have wear clothes to wash clothes? LOLOL Okay!! Huh?) Hope that made you all smile!! Ever forget to get dressed ,, go shopping, and have someone come up to you "I like that color on you, but WOW it has a lot of wrinkles." ?
@Novembergail,,, LOLOL You should write a book about Billie!! She does keep us laughing that's for sure!! Ever read "Marley and me"? OH MY THAT DAWG!! LOLOLOL. I did also see the movie, an excellent movie. At the end, well it was sad, I watched these motorcycle men walking out,,, IN TEARS!! Some sobbing!! NOW that's the way a movie should be, that it touches you deeply. Oh I was laughing so hard at Marley. If Billie and Marley had been friends!! YO!!! Billie clothes are to keep you WARM!! The color should help to find it later on. LOL!! Maybe you need hunter orange? Or ohhhhh I KNOW!! To put one of the electronic tags on it, so it'll show you were it is on your phone! I love that guote. Last year I set a goal to go from 180 to 163. Now that's ONLY 17 lbs, but you know my body, it's GOING TO THROW STUFF at me to make that almost impossible and it SURE HAS this year!! Of course I started at 180, today I am 167!! JUST 4 MORE LBS to go and 7 weeks to do it in!! As long as my body behaves I SHOULD have this. Setting attainable goals WOOHOO!!3 -
Lovely light rain in the neighbourhood today - might go out for a walk later - have to go to London Drugs to pick up my frankensence roll on - it was recommended by a friend for the hip issue - so I'll give it a go - it was not very expensive.
Gene is home as well and JUST did HIS laundry !! Hope he folded it all nicely and not just crumbled it into the bag LOL
@Dianedoessmiles1 glad your boots came in and they fit good. I am getting leary of ordering things online especially since I am STILL waiting for BathBed and Beyond to reverse the order and refund my CC - it has not be charged but is in pending which is like a charge. They said at first I have to wait till I receive it and then either reject the delivery or return for refund. I asked them how I was suppose to do that when they dont' even know when the manufactorer is going to send it out cause they have "supply issues" I explained I could not have those funds tied up for ever but they are being addimat about it so I will never order from them or shop there again. I am not a happy camper and the lack of good customer service in this situation is annoying to say the least. However, I will wait till Monday before I pursue it again.
@NovemberGail that is so funny that Billy takes her jacket off - guess it is hindering her shinanigans eh ? Has she been spayed ? I wonder if it is just a matter of waiting for her to reach doggie old age before she calms down lol I know my friend's dog has calmed down considerably now he is an "old man" in dog age...

@everyone, weigh in tomorrow, so don't sweat the small stuff or the scale - it's just one way to measure your success. If you learnt something from reading labels, then you were actually successful this week. I am more attentive to labels when shopping now and just take my time. All around me might be a gong show but I still take my time!

Good Day to all..post bkfst and lunch here..so know it is as the song says...5 O'clock somewhere!!
Kind of a kick back day...No school so Kailey is home. Angela is working so we all try to be as quiet as possible. I guess cleaning out the fridge and mopping floors are quiet things to do..unlike dancing with Mr V..That needs to be done..but not today!!
Got a cozy fire going to ward off the chill, mm we are above freezing, just! The wind is brisk and there was a skiff of snow on the cars this AM. There is a half load of wood that needs to be stacked before it gets buried in snow, it is resting in the back of my truck at the moment. I was already told to NOT touch it..Gene was kinda "man in charge" attitude. But I see his point, he loaded it ..he paid for it and he was the one that made the trip to get it. Now the crew can unload it at least ,,but not hard headed me! So far in all fairness it is a noisy process lots of clinking and clunking and yells of Look OUT! So probably tomorrow AM for that job I think!!
Got around early with the idea that a shower would be a great way to start the day. Then decided I needed to eat first..then clean the kitchen up a bit while emptying the left overs from the fridge and shining it up a bit. Then got feeding done, still need to go out to do water basins, but waiting for the hose to unfreeze, I forgot to stretch it out last time I used it ,,,when it was 70 degrees out!! So lunch tucked into my lil belly I do believe I am headed to the shower unless another project pops into my path!
Ya'al have a good afternoon, evening and find joy in all you do. I am at times just so thankful I can do as much as I do. Kinda like that country song...I am as good once as I ever was!! But only a bit slower and once is the limit!! tee Hee...see ya later!!

Good Evening Everyone!
I am not sure what is up with my coworker. The manager is easy going and just wants everyone to do their job. She doesn't like conflict.
Today has been cloudy. We were supposed to get rain but haven't seen any yet. Went for my walk this morning. Also studied, did dishes, laundry, my other exercise and got the green tomatoes all cut. Tomorrow I will make green tomato bread and freeze the rest for another day. Didn't feel as productive as I wanted but I know I got a lot done.2 -
@lindiemaep ,, that's so frustrating!! Did you call the corporate office? Ask for a supervisor of sales? That may help. Walmart did that to me, so now I no longer use them. I know at times they'll hang onto the money in case they do get the product back which in todays world makes sense. Hopefully you'll get the money soon.

@Katiecondy1 ,,, as kids we LOVED stacking wood!! My Mom made it so much fun for all of us, even as teens!! We be singing and goofing off thanks to my Mom and the fun she had with us. Afterwards we'd get hot chocolate. Of course when there are 8 kids it made the work lighter. You got A LOT DONE today!! WOOHOO!!!
@Cseguin2 ,,,, To bad the manager isn't a little bit more firm, but its so hard to find workers, which makes it nice for those who really aren't team players get away with so much more. Great job getting things done!! WOOHO!!
Nicole is now visiting the area. In the summer we so badly needed rain, we do not now! Awww my GD did a gender reveal today, my GGS will be a BIG Brother to a BROTHER in May. SWEET!! LOL 2 boys. LOL of course they'll be almost 6 years apart so that makes the 2 boys easier,,, well MAYBE!! Time will tell, but likely. I am hoping the little one will totally admire his big brother and visa versa.2 -

Hi! Gail asked me to tell you my story. You should see my tail wagging at this opportunity. The first five years of life is a secret that I haven't even shared with my person. I met Gail when I was really depressed at the County shelter. Someone found me and took me to the shelter. I was in a family way and was looking forward to my puppies. Instead the vet decided it would be better to terminate my pregnancy and then "fixed" me. Gail and some of her sisters met me and they fell in love. I was in no mood.
It took me about six months to finally adopt Gail. First of all she had a cat named Charlie, who let me know that he was there first. Those first months are a blur and she and the other sisters would catch me staring off thinking of my old family. But living in the country with plenty of places to run, I decided I was blessed to have a new family. Gail and I are the best buds. She provides me with plenty of treats, let's me sleep in her bed and doesn't get too mad when I go after skunks. Now when I go after cars or try to get into the UPS truck, she gets real excited. I no longer go into staring because I am now home here.
I love that you love my stories. I promise I'll try to get more creative. You should have seen me going after a rabbit today. I yelped so loud that the person with Gail thought I was hurt. Don't worry, the rabbit got away. We've been playing this game for months.
I am to tell you that tomorrow's word is GRATITUDE. Gail is just grateful to have me!

@Billie ,,, I mean @Novembergail,, NAH I MEANT BILLIE!! Oh hon if Gail had only known before your pups were taken from you, you'd of had them. IMAGINE if some of her sisters had taken 1 or more the MORE "Creative" you'd all be!! But, instead its the way it is, and now you get to have ALL the attention TO YOURSELF,,, well shhhhh we won't mention the 2 kitties now, but they are really cute huh? BUT YOU Miss Billie, you leave us a laughing so hard!! Please continue to entertain ALL YOU KNOW. We are so happy Billie you ended up in such a great home, and place to live, a place where you roam rather freely without having to worry about to many cars. Well there are cars, but not like in the city. Where I live in a big big building of 82 units, I think there are maybe 10 dogs who live here (Many more,,, sorry,, but, hmmm cats!! Including mine Izzy) they are not allowed to roam as freely. You've got it so good Billie!! We are so happy you are no longer depressed, oh we KNOW YOUR EYES SHINE BRIGHTLY now!!! Life has turned around for you and in turn you turn around other lives with delight. WELCOME TO GAILS of course, where it's warm and nice at night all snuggled up and in the day where those paws find some interesting things. So much FUN!2

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is going to be a good day and we are going to get a lot of stuff done. At least I think I will be getting a lot of stuff done. I hope to. We are working outside today and in the bedroom on the floor and then I have to go look at fake flowers to use for the wedding and then I have to do shipt orders. That is what I have to do today to make some more money.
@NovemberGail - We are doing some wedding stuff this weekend but not much. We have to get some stuff for the wedding purchased and we have a little money for it. Don't want to break the bank but we can at least try and find some stuff and see what we are going to use.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Thank you. I told them I wouldn't step down but that was before I got engaged and am now trying to plan a wedding. I have so much going on. They just don't get it. People are literally arguing with me on what I should be doing.
@LindieMaeP - I hope the frankensence roll works for you. I have not heard of that helping with hip issues but probably more so a muscle issue. I am sorry you are still having issues with that store.
@katiecondy1 - Nice getting in a good shower. I think the wood should just unload itself. That would be nice right. You have already gotten a lot done. I hope you had a great day.

I don't think I've written to this "overall" group since late September - even before we officially began this fall challenge. Once our individual teams got going, I forgot to come here. So I caught up on most of the reading and I want to remember to come back more often. So many of my old buddies from SP are on different teams now and I'd love to keep up with them.
I've moved into my new place - all on one level so I don't have to navigate stairs and my car is closer in an attached garage. I've been here now for 3 weeks and I love it. My daughters flew in from Oregon to help me unpack and it's starting to feel like home now. I have a lovely ocean view from my office window so it's inspiring as I write. I might even start a new series that involves the ocean here. On any map, it looks like my island would be totally destroyed when we get a big wave.
Good luck to everyone as we near the end of this challenge! Hard to believe we're already on Week 7!

Kurtize-thank you for the reminder..that last one is one I really needed. I tend to think then rethink then even dream about things. There are times when I wish I were one of those just let it go types..but sadly i chew and review till I wear things out sometimes. I seriously need to just Let It Be!
Up and out early for a pick up at Walmart. Sadly in our lil burg shopping is very limited and indeed Walmart has a corner on the market. But having had several bad experiences since they went to self check out I now refuse to go in the store. I will online shop and pick up..but nope not going in there. We have a lil Neighborhood Market that is fun to go to so that is where I will go in ..and yeah it is a Walmart holding as well.
Then too Molly to the groomer for a nail trim..turns out she has a broken pinkie toe on her right front paw. Not sure exactly what to do about that since our vet closed..and from the calls I made it is a 2 month wait to see any of the other vets scattered about town. A broken toe is not considered a life threatening emergency ..so.. She does get around and most of the time you can't tell there is anything wrong, just the nail on that toe is so long I am afraid she will catch it on something . Hope one of the two vets I use will have a cancellation and I will be able to take her in sooner. Hate it when they are hurting cause you cannot explain it to them, they just know they hurt and turn to you to fix it!
Billie,,thank you for sharing your story with us. Much like Molly's, only she was much younger. She and her sister were roaming the alleys looking for food when they were found. Fate took me to the Shelter that day and led me to Molly. As grateful as I can be for that day. Now please do your best to be a really good girl and don't get into too much trouble,,OK!
Hmmm tis turning cooler..been in the 30's most of the day..but I think the temps are headed downward..probably be a good idea to bring in some wood and get a cozy lil fire going.

I've been chipping away today on things I want done here, by doing it tiny bit by tiny bit, I am actually getting a lot done!! WOOHOO!! So sorry they aren't exctied. If you feel it's best to step down, that's the way to go. Especially if they are making life more stressful. We have enough stress in life as it is.

@lavalily .. HEY WOW!! CONGRATS on your move with the view!! I LOVE seeing the harbor from my place!! Though where you are is much warmer. Awww that's so cool your kids came and helped you!! So happy you are feeling like it's home already. It's a great feeling when we do.

@Katiecondy1 ,,, would adding in for your DO's this week help to make it on DREAMING? I know with my illness it was so easy to crash down inside and think of ALL the things I can NOT do now, or on my good days barely do. But, I am redoing my bedroom slightly ,, more of a cleaning stuff out and really simplifying things. So I painted over a simple storage area thingie and using it for part of a dresser, and a smaller one for the rest of what I was using. Then LOLOL I want to take the dresser apart and build the "ideal" stand for by my bed. What would you like to do to your place so it's more user friendly? As I age as my body feels like ,,, ewwww I want things set up so it's easier.
I'm taking it Molly won't let you try to cut the nail? if you were to wrap it would that last? With the self adhesive stuff that sticks to itself? I bought some pet ones, for my foot because LOL they are the exact same thing, but it has PAW PRINTS on it. I got so many compliments on it,, AND FOR YOU when I was at Walmart,,, I PEED ON THE FLOOR!! AM I NOT A GOOD GIRL? AM I? Do I get TREATS? (we are both previous Spirited Under Dawggies,, AKA the Dawggie team)

Good Evening Everyone!
It snowed most of the day and stuck for awhile but not on road or sidewalk. Did my 3 Mile walk HIIT video and my strength. Concentrated on working on my bookclub book so I wouldn't fall behind. Also worked on laundry and got all my dishes caught up again. Oh yeah also made green tomato bread today. Son showed up tonight and is staying till Monday sometime. Not a planned visit but will make it work.1 -
Been dancing with the vaccuum - spider hunting as well. When I unrolled a rug for where I get into and outta bed, a spider scurried away and I didn't get him. I did a thorough search of that area including looking where it might hid on the underlip of my storage containers, but nope no spider, no idea where that lil or not so lil bug went but I did vaccuum up in there, the bedroom, the livingroom and of course Amigo thought he was being brave sniffing the vaccum cylinder till I turned it on and then after I removed the power head and what not from the vaccuum, chased him with the non powered power head to get him to exercise LOL he immediately got on the couch and is not sleeping or cat napping - gave him a couple of pats and rubs for his effort - he's such a lazy cat ... er ... on he's on saving energy mode ! Well no spider no idea where it went but it better not be in my clothes - I'll look for a while but when i moved everything out of the closet ( clothes ) onto my bed, nothing came out so maybe he found a nice hiding place in the wood work... no ide how though... Now that is done and I am relaxing for a bit and commenting here.
@Tabatha_Cain it is unfortunate that they took your request to have time off and away so you can concentrate on your wedding and had negative comments - I would just give them written notice and call it a day. Let them know you will contact them when you are freer to do things, but family comes first and your fiance is family eh ! I do volunteer work with my congregation but I set my hours and what I can do and they appreciate all I do, even if it is just an hour - they appreciate it. Time for you to walk away for now eh.
@lavalily sounds like a great set up you have in your new digs - hope you will be happy there and oh oh oh the view - I only have a tree but I like it anyway - I get to see old leaves fall off and new buds happening ! Glad you family came to help as well!
@Kurtize that is a good list and many could use it - well read it then use it ... how many of us do those things at least once in a while, I know I have !
@KatieCondy1 after my last experience with BathBed and Beyond, I will be cash and carry only now - no more ordering online - no more being charged 2 x for something they can't deliver ! But I do like going to Walmart and I like going up and down the isles and look for things and get steps in - great way to do it. Do the same at Costco now there' s a gong show - the Richmond Costco is the businest one in Canada !! I hope you got to relax and enjoy the day/evening !
@Dianedoessmiles1 "clean up on isle # " I am sure you have heard that through out your life time. but really peeing in public?? That's what depends are for eh ?? lol I was with my friend in the pet store and her dog poo'd on the floor and it was like oh well dogs do it, see animals are excused people not so much ...... we had a good talk today part of it was not allowing the past to discourage us - so I shall not live in the past but the present and look forward to a wonderful future!!

@Cseguin2 ,,, Oh we've not gotten snow yet, but that storm out west is going to be here on Weds. Inland they'll get plowable snow, here on the coast we might see a few snowflakes. Good job with the cleaning. Okay what is green tomato bread? Enjoy S being there.2

We had our first light snowfall last night. I was told that the roofs had a dusting of snow on them early this morning.
Got the floor vacuumed and deep cleaned with a Hoover this afternoon. It took over two hours because I really wanted to make sure that I got all the grime off from the pets. Now I keep looking at the floor and enjoying the shine.
Word for tomorrow is EXPECTANCY (maybe that's why I played Christmas music today).
Here is a photo from years' past but something tells me that is will also be in our futures.

My Day it did get warmer ,, they said we hit 74! NOVEMBER??? Hmmm Tues on we'll be in the low 40s for a high. Here's what I've been working on for over a week. It was in such BAD SHAPE from a friend who hates to be neat. I KNEW I could repurpose it.
And now
Now to get everything into it's spot!! I want this room DONE tomorrow!! ALL of it. LOL It might take til Monday, but doing what I can!

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is going to be a bit more relaxing day. We are doing church on the tv and we are going to work on the bedroom floor and I am going to take some shipt orders so I can earn extra money for my wedding. I think it is going to be a good day. If I can get 3 more orders in that would be great. I would like that. I really would like that. It would be fun. Although I cannot have my fiance with me but he will be able to do some other stuff at home I think.
@lavalily - So glad you are getting settled into your new place. Sounds like somewhere beautiful. That is great that your daughters came to help you unpack.
@Kurtize - We got some snow versus rain yesterday. We wish it was rain though.
@katiecondy1 - Sorry both your vets are booked up. Wish that was not the case. They usually do antibiotics for a broken toe nail. My dog has had it a couple of times. It just happens
@Dianedoessmiles1 - We got so much done yesterday that today my body hurts everywhere. We got the entire front and back yard cleaned from all the leaves. That took 4 hours and 30 lawn and leaf bags. Then we went shopping for flowers for the wedding. I am so sore typing is kinda achy.

@LindieMaeP - I agree. For not it is time for me to walk away and handle my house. There is just nothing I can do. I am working 2 jobs and I cannot afford to take time off to do this stuff.
@NovemberGail - That sounds wonderful getting that floor cleaned. Makes me want to get mine done too. I need more time to get everything cleaned this weekend.

Good afternoon, it is a chilly 46 degrees, we turned on the heater for the first time. Still trying to figure out how it works, but we are getting there, No instructions, the lady who owned the home didn't leave any except for refrig., and washer. This is a new home, a smart home, which we are still learning how everything works. We decided not to put all the stuff on the phone to operate. Not quite that tech savvy nor do I want to be. Not much less is new, getting some pain back but still being positive.

@Tabatha_Cain ,,,Hope you get the orders. So many aren't buying much, but yet, its the time many will go deeper into hole. So here's a hoping you get them!! WOOHOO on an easier day!! That'll help you to be rested for work and more planning!
@Patti it's now 4:35 PM and it's only 47. LOL We hit 73 on Friday and now this. I did put my heat on.
@Kurtize,,, Hopefully the back pain won't be nearly what it was. My place is not a smart place, and I'd not want it to be. I do not want it to be. Now I LOVE TECH STUFF, but there's a security there i do not want to expose, the more we put there, the easier it could possibly be. Plus of course when one loses electricity though there are back ups, still yeah.3
