Good evening everyone, just back from a walmart run with my sister, I asked her to take me to get a mattrice enclosure for Gene - it barely fit his bed, so I know the one I got me will not fit so back it goes, I need it for 13" pockets as I have a pillow top mattrice and his was 12 and it barely fit plus it is plastic, and I don't want that I want cotton. So back mine will go it cost me 54. plus change yea I will use that for another one. He things he found what was bitting him but I think it is more then the mattrice, morning will tell, I never got bit while I was in there, and it is not bed bug - I think he might be highly illergic to mites the mattrice cover will help. Next up,he's gonna take his cloth wardrobe thingy apart and wash it, or ELSE ... course tomorrow he has to go get his meds and use that cream. His back still looks like it is on fire and his ears too !
@Dianedoessmiles1 dermatologist first for him, not sure when, could. take years as our health system is so broken. Plus he got a ticket on the way home for using his cell phone to take a picture of the prescription at a stop light. BUSTED !! Cost him over 400.00 and he paid it right away. Yup poor Amigo is in the living room not sure what to do with all the fussing in Gene's room plus the bigger Bertha ( that's the mile vaccuum ) was out today and Amigo not friends LOL In half an hour I will fling him some treats he can go hunt them.
@NovemberGail that was a good work out and should have iliminated the candy - lol my sister bought some chocolate and gave me one little package, had 3 in it I ate it when I got home. We stopped at a pastery place and I wanted to get her an apple fritter - there was one left so I went to cashier and paid and then someone else came and got my fritter - I was NOT happy and let them know that I paid for it first and my order should have been taken care of. HoW RUDE ... I did get my money back and my sister did not get her fritter, it was my treat for taking me to walmart ! Oh well I will find her something else.
Time for bed almost ... have a good night eh ... LOVE LOVE LOVE the LTGL - do it all the time, piece of cake eh !!!

@Novembergail,, NICE WORKOUT indeed!! I am so impressed!! The candy, it's so weird to me candy WAS A FOOD GROUP!! Along with Take OUT, Take IN, Frozen. Though I do not eat "healthy" by any stretch of the imagination, I do eat much "healthier" than I used to. On Sparks Raylinstephens taught me "you can still have junk food in moderation" and I stay by that to this day. Everyday I have something (or things) as long as I am in calorie range (1250) it's a good go!! At times we just need/want/desire that extra. That weight if it's up will go right back down again.
@Katiecondy1 ,, WOOHOO TOTAL Approval on the phone!! I'm pretty sure its the one I had been considering when I FOOLISHLY went into UScellular and OHHHHHHH THE S10? SURE!! AARRGGGHHH!! I LOVE the phone, I really do, but!! BUT!! I want my bill down. I am usually a saver, not a spender. I'll buy what I want/need, but as with many of us as I age, I need less. I sure hope you LOVE the Samsung!! I SURE DO!! So sorry you all got that late start, indeed it's harder. Today we set into Portland around noontime, of course the busiest street from out of here ,,, across the draw bridge, into Portland, and I was just shooting through the main area, but they have construction on that square that was supposed to take 3 months, it's been over a YEAR!!! Today we were stuck there for a bit, but my friend and I were joking around so much, we just relaxed and enjoyed the time. We own a Honda Fit, , so we DID consider picking it up and walking faster than the traffic. LOLOL I DID GIGGLE because I HAVE THROWN a few people out of my car in the past!! NEVER MAKE THE DRIVE ANGRY!! LOLOL @Cheririddell? YOU? @Debby4576 You?
@Lindiemaep ,, LOL Keep that kid busy!! It's good for him. Haven't you been telling him for 47 ish years "GO CLEAN YOUR ROOM NOW!!???" LOL those words just become automatic. OH MAN I do feel for Gene though with the ticket,, WOW 400!!! I'm not sure how much they are here, I "think" 125?? For the 1st offence and it climbs up from there. I'll not text in the car, it only takes one inattentive driver to hit me and I do not trust ANY other driver. So I am always keeping an eye on what other drivers, bicyclists, walkers etc. are doing.3 -

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today I go dress shopping with my soon to be step daughter and my daughter. I am excited to be going and possibly getting a dress. I know it is going to be a hard choice as there are so many beautiful dresses out there but I really want something simple. Not sure the style yet but I will figure something out. Atleast I hope I do.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is what we are doing. Trying to keep it simple. We will stick to the time frame of the church. We just want a fun relaxed day too.
@LindieMaeP - I am sorry Gene got a ticket. They really do not play around when it comes to texting and driving. It is rough. Glad to know his issue is an allergy and not something else. Now that he will be able to get something for it I hope it helps. That does sound cool with the person coming in on a dirt bike. Not my kind of wedding but still cool. We have elected for a church wedding and reception.
@CSEGUIN2 - Dinner sounds good. I am not really a big fan of shrimp but I would give it a go.
@NovemberGail - Halloween candy will do it every time. I am going to try and stay away from candy and such for the time being. Gotta fit into a dress. You got a lot done yesterday
@katiecondy1 - It is hard when you break your own rule. It can get frustrating for sure.

Hi all, happy Saturday, it is a beautiful day after the storm, 55 degrees out, clear sky. Tornado went by somewhere here but not in our area. The siren did go off warning us. It was noisy for a few seconds then quiet and then a rain storm. No damage on our street.

@Kurtize good to hear you are safe and not affected by the tornados - they can be killers as I saw in the news - we had a chance of thunderstorms last night but if they came, I slept through them! I even slept in till 7 !!

@Kurtize so happy you are safe!! Hopefully all others are too!! I am not sure how one lives in tornado alley, but I suppose it comes of those "if it hits, it hits." things?

Last winter, normally in the afternoon as it was at the time I took the picture the cars are so backed up here, but of course on a snow day the kids are usually though not always home. I had so much fun working with the school we had a LOT of days off, with pay for me.4 -
Good Evening Everyone!
Today was windy, mostly cloudy, and rain this evening. Went for my walk, did my inclined push-ups, and calf raises. Hubby, Son and I worked on cleaning up the backyard and parking area. Also worked on laundry and dishes. Also went and hung out with friends sor a bit this afternoon. Now watching Bones while Hubby naps.

@Dianedoessmiles1 I got a text from my sister asking if I wanted to go to Walmart to return the thingy I bought that is too small for my bed. She drove I spent but sparingly after I returned the thingy. We had planes over head but hard to take a picture when the car is moving so I just enjoyed watching them go by. We have been issued a snow fall warning but most likely nothing here will stick and mostly to the mountains, they now getting a dusting n look so purdy !! Tomorrow is Congregation service group at the KH so I will be going but mask on. The cold is much better but the sinuses still a bit leaky at times.
@Tabatha_Cain how did the dress shopping go ? I hope you girls had lots of fun and lots of laugh dispite the seriousness of it all.

Well tis a strange way the weather these days. I saw a post of mine from two years ago with nearly a foot of snow..today it is in the 50's and sunny. The breeze is cool , nearly all the leaves are gone what few there are will be whoosh by tomorrow as we are to have "gusty" winds in the 60 to 80 mph range.
Ahhh tornado's, I thought I had moved away from them when I left OKLA, but wouldn't ya know it..this part of Colorado has 'em too!! Not as often but just as dangerous.
Sounds like everyone has a nice Sunday planned ..so enjoy!!

@LindieMaeP, Geeze Gene is having a time with that rash..I wonder if there is something in that name..cause my Gene sounds pretty much like yours. Good Evening Everyone!
Today was another cool but beautiful day. Went to the 8 am and 10 am church services. I enjoy the early one and Son prefers the other. I have no problem taking him to the later service. We had coffee hour after the first service and a small luncheon after the second service. It was the Church's 170th anniversary. Did a couple of errands after the luncheon and then made a small lunch of blts. Spent the rest of the afternoon playing Transformers Monopoly until it was time for Son to get ready to head home. Didn't get any workouts or chores done but that's ok. Back at it all tomorrow.2 -

I don't want to share it here as he does have MFP and I am not sure what all he can see if he were to come into the group. @cormierannie - I need to get out and run. I really do. I need more exercise and I have not ran for a while now.

Good morning folks, it's going to be another rainy day today maybe mixed with snow at the higher elevations. Laundry in the washer, 3 loads today as I want to wash the new blanket as well. Landlord getting rich off my laundry money - 12.00 today alone! lol
@Tabatha_Cain, as much as I want to see your beautiful dress, I will wait as this team is open to the public which means the whole world on MFP can see it. However, on your private team is different, only team members can see. But always remember anyone can take a copy of your picture and use it anywhere, which is why I do not post too many personal pictures here or on FB either. Really happy you found a dress !! @Katiecondy1 ,, here though if you do not move your car it WILL Be towed. I can tell you that just picking up Izzy kitty who's not a big kitty at all (her pics look like she's HUGE!! She's only 9 lbs) at night before bed, I've always picked her up and held her so she and I can look out the window. My view is to die for!! I'm of course looking at the lights dancing on the harbor that FOOL Izzy? She's looking for any cars that may be out and about. At 1 or 2 AM there aren't many on this end of the city, but every night she looks with excitement. If she sees ANY even from a distance, she purrs so foolishly hard, I get to laughing hard. Little goober she is. But over the past week when I pick her up I now need to hold her tight against me, and I am struggling. So I am not yet sure what I'll do about the car. The person I felt so comfy asking if he'd help me, has moved out of here. He now lives in "northern Maine". He's a nice caring guy, and I've helped him with things (job) but LOL I can't really ask him to travel 5 plus hours each way to help me. LOLOLOL!!! STILL there are many here, hopefully someone can help. Of course my friend who owns half of the car, might think she can do it, but she's as bad off as I am or even worse (She'd never admit it!). We'll figure it out though. We will. As you likely recall for a few years I was one of the ones who was out cleaning off ALL the cars, so hopefully I'll get help. GRRRR I LOVED doing that!!! I'd be so excited!! It was FREE exercise!!

@LindiemaeP,,,, WOOHOO LOOK AT TODAY. I went for a walk to the grocery store. It was YO 75!! HUH!!??? THAT's a record easily for us, 75 in NOVEMBER!!!??? Now tomorrows high ,, LOL 48. GRIN!! This is the park near my house, it's across the street, and goes to where the grocery store is (opposite side). It's pretty enough of course, the other side though is the harbor.
PHEW CAUGHT UP!! WOOHOO!!! Now to hit the PS4L team and catch up all the way there also!!

Evening everyone, hope you had a good day of it, I did get my new blankie washed and put on the bed - 12.00 for laundry today and will have to spend that next week too as the other blanket needs to be washed before putting away or given away. Amigo is testing the new blankie but his blankie IS on top of mine, no claws allowed !! He's listening to music with me, I swear he likes my spirtual music and loves to be in here when it is playing. His tail is still so I know he is content!
@Dianedoessmiles1 OH NO to your internet being down - was that just today ? Did you go to the Hall for yesterday's meeting? Not sure what I would do if my internet went down. That picture is very nice eh ! You did the sun through the trees very nicely as well. Love taking shots like that!
Managed to get over 9,000 steps today and that is without a walk !! It is very cold out tonight, might get snow but I hope not, I can't go out in snow. It is 39F rightnow and feels like 36 F and overcast!

I was so surprised to see I haven't been in the airport for too long! This morning the last of the Halloween candy is gone. Now I just need to stay away from sweets for three days to get it out of my system. You all can relate, I'm sure, but food is an obsession right now. Even with all the work outside, I'm not burning the excess calories. But this is why I am on the 5% challenges; it is so easy to get off the straight and narrow.
Was glad to hear that no one here experienced damage with the tornadoes. Delighted to see the posts from Katy. Glad to hear that you are behaving Diane -- no snow removal! Patty, always good to see your good mornings. Tabatha so glad you found your wedding dress. That had to be so much fun. Lindie, our weather pattern has been similar. We hit a record of 80 last week. Thursday the weather goes down to the 40's. I envy you winter people. How I have a hard time accepting winter cold. Now I do enjoy snow.
Tomorrow's word is simplicity.

There is an eclipse tonight..from what I read it will be about 3AM our time..reckon it is going to have to happen without me,,,sad to say cause I do like to see them. I do understand why the ancients felt it was a magickal time..the entire atmosphere changes, night sounds become silent, the winds do not blow, there is an erie sense to the surroundings , yet it is amazing to watch . Years ago out at our big farm, Angela,,,about 12 or 13 at the time . and I were outside watching an eclipse. As things began to change and you could feel the atmosphere change around you..she got a lil antsy..then suddenly burst for the house saying..that is all I can take of that ..it is scary!! I stayed out for a bit..but had to admit..she was right there was a feeling of the entire world being just a lil off kilter and not quite right!
NovemberGail-beautiful picture!! We have no Halloween candy..but there is a very large sheet cake..Birthday cake-in the fridge. It is (of course) my favorite..white cake with white frosting..oh yumm! I did manage to only have one small piece of it..but wouldn't ya know it was a corner piece..lotta frosting!!
It is a process and a life challenge ..and we all are gonna slip now and then..after all we are only human!
Diane-Oh yeah..know what you mean. My test of ..how ya doing..is out in the yard. I used to be able to at least roll a pallet from here to there, do some yard work steadily for half a day..now I think I can still stand a pallet up..and about a half hour at a time is my limit. Not happy with that..but happy that I can at least do that much. Like the turtle..slow and steady , needs to be my pace in this race!!
Got the pups tucked in..and suspect I will soon follow. Good news is my doc said I am doing ok..now waiting for labs to see what they have to say ..Next week see the pulmonologist and I think that rounds out the doctor go round for this year!! Whew!!

I hope you are all doing well this morning. I am ready to go vote. That is what my son and I are doing this morning. Weird that he is now old enough to vote. We needed his vote I am sure. I am really looking forward to seeing my dress on me on the big day and how much weight can I lose between now and then. I want to get a decent amount of weight off.
@LindieMaeP - I completely understand. I really don't want him seeing the dress before the big day. I would love to see his reaction but not yet. I am nervous that he won't like the dress.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - I could never be a bridzilla. Those ladies are so mean. I want stuff to look a certain way but I am open to suggestion if you think it doesn't look right. Tell me a different way and we will try it.
@NovemberGail - The weather has been unseasonably warm it is scary that it has been this way. I am hoping we are not dumbed a big amount of snow really soon.
@katiecondy1 - I love eclipses. I think I have only seen 1 or 2 during my life that I was awake for. All others I have slept through.
