@CSEGUIN2 -glad you got your walk in before the rain hit. What's swill? Your residents' meals sound great. Sorry about tense situations at work. Sorry about the foot infection came back. Will they call you when the prescription is ready?
@Dianedoessmiles1 -it's cloudy here-which beats the rain! My younger daughter loves that water fill game...she is on way too high of a level. I do enjoy it but I got stuck fairly early so i don't play it often.
@Tabatha_Cain -great idea! Glad it was so successful.

    Good Evening Everyone!

    Congrats Tabitha!

Today was a great day but cold. Went for my morning walk, had breakfast which included a hot chocolate to warm me up. Then ran some errands to get more walking, came home, had lunch and got ready for work. Also did some studying, dishes and laundry. Residents had ceasar salad, lasagna, chicken and rice soup, garlic bread and canned peaches. So glad to have my 3 day weekend. Well not completely as my friend needs help with a work thing and we need to work on the menu's so it's more organized and everyone knows what's going on. Will also help control the food costs hopefully. I do not see pay for that part but I don't do it for the pay. I do it to help her. Oh I also found out that since Tuesday I am getting paid for 2-6:30 now I get paid for all the hours I am in the kitchen.

Good evening everyone, hope you are all settled in and enjoying the night as best as you can. Today was busy, was out in the blustery rainy weather, but only needed my umbrella once. I took the large one - it's almost too heavy and big for me, but it worked when I needed it. There are puddles aglore and I had to watch near corners as drivers LOVE to splash pedestrians - so I kept note of that. Went to A&W for a momma burger and small friy - yup put it in the tracker the day before so it was planned. Found a cute hat and glove set at Winners - the fingers for the gloves are suppose to be able to work the phone without taking the gloves off. I also washed all my winter socks and other gloves and other hats as well and now I just need to find another drawer to put them in. Some of the gloves are just dollar store gloves so not very thick ...
@Tabatha_Cain, your ring sounds beautiful, and you are obviously very happy with it. I look forward to hearing more about your wedding details as they become available and as you wish to share!
@Kurtize dont' you just love Maxine ? I had several of her sayings that I had previously saved - I am glad to hear you have a plan of action with your doctor and you will action the plan to stave off surgery! I hope it all works out well too !
@Dianedoessmiles1 what happened that the infection is back, is this a re-occouring infection? I hope you do not have to go through all you went through last time! Perhaps you have too much on the go with all you do with the building and here and then your other meetings ... maybe you need to give something up ... and concentrate more on your well being ...
I have a cold that seems to have settled in so I am keeping myself home and wearing a mask if I do go out - not happy that I have a cold after having all those shots ... Gene seems fine and has not caught it yet, but I told him to watch for a sore throat and stay away from me bwahahahahaha ... he will cook his own food for sure.
Well have a good evening and enjoy what ever you have planned eh

@Coermierannie, great job on the exercise!! Indeed stay safe. The town next to me has closed the HS for 14 days because the staff and students have COVID. It's one if not the richest town in Maine. Many travel overseas a lot.
@Kurtize,, SO HAPPY they now know what's causing the pain!! AND that they have a plan to help you out. PHEW!! Sure hope it'll be an easy enough fix for you. You've been in such pain for so long.
@Bookienj,,, Hope your day was good. I am guessing you didn't work on Thurs? I hadn't written my response up above well enough to @Cseguin2 ,,, it's me with the foot infection. This is now round #6 of antibiotics 3 of them oral and 3 different times of the IV ones. Its been going on since MAY!! Sadly these things hate to leave us when we get a bad enough one. The bottle fill game is sometimes aggravating! LOLOL but, there is a strategy to it. Never try to fill the bottle color that has the most of a color on the very bottom. I also try to not use the ones that have 2 of the same colors at the top right off. That can clog things up. I do tend to play cribbage online before bed. It does relax me. Plus that's when I also do my bible reading. Last night was in the book of 2 Kings chapter 3 and I could not easily put it down!! It was just fun. So I was up later then I wanted to be.
@Cseguin2 ,,,, YUMMY YUMMY hot chocolate!! Your meals sound so YUMMY ALSO to the max!! LOL Can I move in Do you deliver? Very very kind of you to help your friend with the meal planning. TY TY TY 4 also being kind. Seems like we have MANY here who are very kind. LOVING THAT!!
@Lindiemaep ,,, OH I MISS A&W!! SURE do wish they had stayed in the US!! I went there so much as a kid!! Those frosty glasses FILLED UP to the top with Root beer!! Do they still do the frosty mugs? JEALOUS!! I had figured the infection I have been dealing with wasn't gone. I was right, it's the same one since May. This is treatment #6 ,,, 3 of them oral antibiotics 2 times in the hospital with IV antibiotics and as you likely remember the picc line at home for 6 weeks. OOPS 7 forgot about 3 weeks ago we did another oral one. Actually I am pretty sure he's trying that one again, but to be fair I am allergic to many of them. This one was breaking me out, I quickly took Benadryl. So sorry you have a cold!! They are miserable indeed. On Tuesday night for meeting we had 45 on ZOOM and around 35 at meeting. So many with colds, and a few with covid. My dear friend who was also on ZOOM with us, has fought cancer 4 times is fighting it again. She was arranging the surgery (kidney) and she has Covid now, so it had to be put off. She's so sick. In Maine right now they said there are 202 people in the hospital with 45 in the ICU and 6 on vents. Yet, "it's over." Hmmm no it's not. It's now just "normalized" which I am sure all of those in the ICU would not agree with. OFF I GO to bed!! LOL Tonight I've been painting a storage cupboard ,, it's a small one. I went to DITCH the bureau in my bedroom, use this and another one to put my seasonal clothing I am using now in. The out of season ones can slide under my bed.

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Friday and it is going to be fun. Sunday we are going to go look at a couple of venues. I think it will be a good idea to look at these other venues just in case but we are pretty set on the church. It is beautiful and I want it to be there. Just not sure how we will do that with the decorations.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - Sorry your infection is back. Is there a different pharmacy you could use to get your meds? Thank you. I will have to send you a photo.
@cormierannie - Thank you. I love going on walks. I think that is by far my favorite exercise.
@Kurtize - Now you know what is wrong so hopefully the injections will work. Praying for a speedy recovery.
@bookieNJ - We at work today are doing a food bank food distribution. That will be a good thing for the community.
@CSEGUIN2 - That is great that you are getting paid for all that time. You should have been all along
@LindieMaeP - The weather has been fairly nice here. It is chilly but sunny. This weekend we are going to look at some outdoor venues and possibly a couple inside ones. We really want the church but are worried about cost. Let's hope we can get something relatively cheap but looks really nice.

Well it is time to get ready for work. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Happy Friday, we are getting rain today, which is good. Went grocery shopping. We got some Halloween candy, this is the first time in years where we lived in a neighbor that has children. We usually moved to a 55+ community, looking forward to seeing little kids in costumes, hope we won't be disappointed.
@Dianedoessmiles1, @Tabatha_Cain, @LindieMaeP, thank you for the well wishes on my upcoming treatments.
@LindieMaeP- we use to go to A&W for a treat when I wanted to just have a day without being diet conscience. LOL

    Good Evening Everyone!

I don't deliver and don't think you would want to move into where I work. Also definitely not any room in my small apartment.

Today ended up as a self-care day. Got up and did the finances then went back to bed and didn't get up till 11 am to take my pills. Messaged my friend and told her I wasn't coming over as I am just tired and also had to get my flu shot at 4:30. Worked on finding some new recipes to make for the residents. It's starting to get boring. Went for my flu shot and got my 5th COVID shot at the same time. Luckily I have another 2 days off. Hopefully my arms aren't sore by Monday.

@Tabatha_Cain ,,, Have super fun on Sunday!! All the talking, arranging so much fun and exciting!! The pharmacy did fill it as soon they got it. It took the Dr's office more time then I'd of preferred.
    @Patti241 ,,, Oh no doubt!!!
@Kurtize ,,, Glad you got rain too!! YO candy is so much more expensive! Maybe the parents LOL will dress up also for some.
@CSEGUIN2 ,,, Awww your food sounds so good!! I cook too, but LOLOL I am also lazy. I hope you aren't to sore, if not at all from the shots. Mine wasn't.

I wish the gophers and Billie could coordinate better.

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well. Today is going to be a work hard day. I have the house to clean and then once I am done with the house work I have to get a photo shoot done for my engagement photos. We are having my son take some today and my Fiance's brother take some tomorrow. We are going to use the best ones from both people. My son just recently was hired to do professional headshots for my office to put on our website. He got paid $100 for 2 headshots taken and edited. So he was super excited about that. I think that will help him get the courage to explore his photography further.

@Kurtize - I don't get any trick or treaters in my neighborhood. It use to be full of them but not anymore. So I don't get to give out candy.
@CSEGUIN2 - I think you will be able to find several recipes for the residents there. That is a good idea. I hope there are no side effects from the 5th covid shot. I still have to get mine and the flu shot. I will get it after the 1st of November. When my insurance kicks in.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - I am so looking forward to the photo shoot. It is going to be great. I really think it is.
@NovemberGail - Thank you. I too hope we do. I just feel so elated. I love him so much. Billie is such a cute pup. She does need to coordinate better with the moles.

Well it is time to get ready for cleaning. I hope you all have a great day

Good morning all. The sun is just starting to come up here in Edmonton. I really don;t like the next 2 months. The daylight time is getting so much shorter. That said i am loving our warmer temperatures this fall, not quite records but very nice and still above freezing except for a few hours during the night.

I have weigh in for this week and am happy that I am finally seeing a loss, not a big one but no gain. I used to get so upset about ot losing, now I am more concerned about how i feel and what I have been doing. I know that the last few weeks I have over eaten. I am trying to learn my body cues and follow them. After years of abusing myself with food this is not easy but I know it will get better.

I also have figured out that while my morning routine is pretty good my evening routine is terrible and needs to be changed. Currently I eat dinner, sometimes clean up afterward, sit down and watch tv till bed. Of course I mostly snack while watching TV, which is not good at all and I don;t need to eat what i am eating. Most of the time it is robotic eating, I'm not even tasting the food just stuffung it into my mouth while watching TV. This week I am going to work on not eating in front of the TV. Writing it down this sounds easy peasey.... :D

Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a good weigh in and are happy with the results - I had a 2 oz loss and I'll take it over a gain any day ! It's hard to get the formula right for our bodies and our ages and it take time and work and effort, but so far on this challenge I have lost 2 lbs - that's 4 lbs of pressure off my knees!!
@Tabatha_Cain hope you have a good day today and the cleaning gets done, be sure to track it as exercise eh !!
@Patti241 the farmer's markets are done here too now to wait till they start up again. I do have a couple of good choices for fruit - T&T and the little fruit/vegetable place across from Safeway so I can walk there and get what I need at sometimes a better price.
@majork29 I used to have that problem of sitting in front of the computer and chowing down for no reason. These 5% challenges for food and planning has helped me to iliminate that - I also try not to eat anything - except protein in the form of a cheese strand or hard boiled egg in the evening. I can be quite mindless at times on my munching day or night !! You also might find you sleep better as well when you iliminate evening snacking! The temps here in BC are now finally down to where they should be and we will have 2 storms coming through - atmospheric rain fall with high winds - forcasted till Monday evening last time I checked. Means exercising inside not out ..
@everyone my ten minutes of happiness will be me lazing in my recliner listening to calming music - more then likely will be longer then 10 minutes - what's yours plan?
Have a great saturday and enjoy what ever you have planned!

Hello happy Saturday, hope you all had a good weigh in. I gained again this week :# .
It is overcast, 60 degrees only 20% chance of any more rain. But then the weatherman isn't always right.
We did have a real good rain yesterday.
Have a great rest of the day. Hugs and blessings

    Good Evening Everyone!

Today started out foggy and lasted most of the morning. Ran some errands to get a walk in. Went to my friends to work on menus and helped her decorate for Halloween. Also got some dishes laundry and studying done.

@Tabatha_Cain ,, how did the photo shots go?
@Pati241 ,,, I buy frozen veggies more so since they are instantly frozen and not trucked across the US. But as you likely know since we are on the same team, LOL I DO NOT LIKE FREGGIES!! So there are a precious few I will eat, but they are frozen. IT's also more economical with no waste. I have no doubt some are struggling, and likely will more so, its scary to think of any without heat in the northern areas. I live in Maine, everyone talks about the high prices, but so far I am not hearing "What am I going to do?" from anyone I know. Yet, we are a very stubborn , proud , independence bunch so it's unlikely any of them would speak up.
@Majork29 ,,, Oh I used to do that and it was so super weird to break it, but like yourself I KNEW I was not hungry, it had just become a habit. So I needed to replace a habit with a habit. LOL My current "replacement" Is being a leader here, with MORE than enough to keep me busy until bed! Hehehehehe now you all know!! I had before this did little hobbies and stuff like that.
@Lindiemaep ,, Okay GF you have me giggling, I also have lost 2 lbs so far this challenge and this week also 2 ozs. WELL Yesterday it was more, but it was NOT more today!! STILL I'll take it! WOOHOO!!! Sure hope the atmospheric rain doesn't do the damage it did last year up there. WOW! That was so hard on many. My 10 mins of happiness was simply laying down besides Izzy today and just listening to her purring. SWEET!!
@Kurtize,,, today we hit 56, but I didn't go out today. Oh, I kept trying to make myself go to the grocery store, but yeah, I didn't . I did get a few things done around the house. I have in 25 mins and about to do a video ,, either after I post this ,,, I may go the Positively Strong 4 Life team and hit the chat. YO it's a super busy chat!! @Lindiemaep ,, LOL do you miss that?
@Cseguin2 ,, Sounds like you had a good day. WOOHOO to that!! So kind of you to help your friend out!!

Ten-minutes of happiness tonight was watching a 1999 movie: Notting Hill with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. Enjoyed the scenes with Hugh's family and their quick answers back and forth.

I also got quite a workout getting rid of Japanese Honeysuckle and unwanted cedars. Cedars multiply faster than rabbits.

Tomorrow's word is responsibility. I'll be responsible for getting in ten-minutes of happiness. I love this challenge.

    Good Morning Airport Friends:

I hope you are all doing well. Today is round 2 of engagement photos. We are chosing different outfits and will go to different places. I am liking the idea of multiple locations to do the shoots. I really love that idea. It was Joe's idea too. He has great ideas sometimes. LOL. It is nice that Joe and I are both working on weight loss and we are both logging what we eat and are exercising regularly. Although this week has been a challenge getting some workouts in. Yesterday for our photo shot it was on one of our favorite hiking trails so we not only got some exercise but did the photo shoot.

@majork29 - That sounds like a sound goal. Another option would be to limit yourself to one serving. Put the food in a bowl or on a plate rather than grabbing the bag. That might be an easier option to start with.
@LindieMaeP - My 10 minutes of happiness is my engagement photos. Joe and I laughed so hard during yesterdays session. It was great. We both had a lot of fun. I hope they turn out well. I would definitely take a smaller loss to a gain any day. I love being able to lose the weight.
@Kurtize - I hope you get a bit of sunshine in between those clouds.
@CSEGUIN2 - Sounds like you were pretty busy. I hope you made time for yourself.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - The shoot went great. I will post pics as soon as I have some to post. I cannot wait. I am super excited for them.
@NovemberGail - This challenge is great. I like it too. I am super excited about the happiness part. Now I have to find my 10 minutes of happiness every day. It is going to be great.

Well it is time to get some food. I hope you all have a great day.

Good afternoon everyone, just finished my planned lunch and now letting it settle in before i go so some inside exercise - Amigo has been helping me lol I find I am thinking about food more with this planning then normal - now I have to check to see what I decided the day before ! Well it is only a few days left to go and then I can go back to random! How are you all doing with the challenges? I do enjoy the happiness one indeed!
@Tabatha_Cain it will be great to see some pictures when you are ready to share and so happy you both have a plan to a heathier version of you both !!
@Patti241 I am fortunate that I can go to places that have a good selection of vegetables and fruits other then safeway, which is never cheap unless it's old - it is honey mandarin time and I absolutely love those as well as tangerines so I will have to be careful not to chow down too much on them, or I might turn ORANGE !!! LOL I do like the squashes that are available too and have to get back to cooking them but I can also get them frozen too and roast them.
@Dianedoessmiles1 I liked the picture of the cat that @NovemberGail posted as well, if you need a grin on your face, that'll do it !! My friend had a Norwegian black forest cat who was bigger then her dog - and she would walk the cat like the dog but only around the property - sadly, Yoshi-cat had to be put down as his back legs stopped working and there was nothing that could be done for the condition. I am sure she will miss him. He was huge!
Well I need to get off here and get other things done - so have a good sunday afternoon !!
