Sorry, I think I forgot to post them. I have been struggling to log my food. I am going to have a weekend trip to San Francisco; meeting an old friend. Since I know I am not going to be home for a few days, I have been trying to "empty out the frig " before I go. I may have gotten into my son's potato chips😐.. and the icecream sammiches...😶 But today is a new day. Going to take Jack out for our walk and try one set of push ups and planks. Happy Tuesday!

@terytha Please stick with the group. I am exactly the same as you, this time last year I was in the 180's and very happy with where I was at. Last Friday's weigh in I was 217/8 I can't remember, I log it and move on because if I dwell on the number, it upsets me and I spiral. I put on 5lbs in one week a couple of weeks ago. I'm in a bad place weight wise and it sometimes gets the better of me but being in this group is helping me to not to go too mad and at least have some conscious about what I am doing. This group is very supportive (I've only been here a month).
@ashleycarole86 @bowens1973 Amazing!!!! the pictures are so cool and what an achievement.
@PlaneMonkey It's hard to juggle the other half that doesn't have much staying power. Mr B always says 'I don't want to tempt you.....' and then he does. He sees everything as an opportunity to celebrate with a margarita or two.

I'll take it. Doesn't really feel like I earned it because I haven't truly logged and been under my goal in... I don't know 5 weeks?
@PlaneMonkey of course the Deck Master would have good furniture advice! Great idea on youtube.
It sounds like you know this pattern with the hubby pretty well. It's so hard to be "good" when other people in the house just don't have the same idea of "good."
Small win today: I actually got out of bed and took a 40 min walk before the day got going. I feel like I am back where I was in June-ish, having to take baby steps and not overpromise to myself. But baby steps we go.5 -
I immigrated in June 2010 to Oklahoma City, OK. We stayed there a year, experienced a really bad tornado and moved to Mesa, AZ which I loved and is still my favourite state. Mr B's dad got cancer and we moved to Jackson, MS as it was as close as we could get to his parents as we could. It was horrible and we knew after two months it was not for us. We moved to Las Vegas and stayed there until January this year when we moved to rural Missouri. Each time we moved, my husband's company moved us. It's really easy, they come round, look at your stuff, arrange a date for packing, load you one day and move you the next. At the other end, they unload and unpack your stuff and all you have to do is dispose of the packaging. We had 150 boxes in January and there are still a couple in the garage I haven't been through.
The move we do in ten days is on our own dime. I'm astonished that a single Dishpak costs $46 and a wardrobe carton is $32, there's obviously other cartons at $$ and $200 to crate our mirror (totally worth it). What this has done has made me evaluate all the 'stuff' we have, what we use, what serves a purpose and what doesn't. So I've been purging, we took six large black bags of clothes to Goodwill on Sunday and I have gone through all the cupboards and have six large boxes of items for a friend that has a Flea Market stall and the time and energy to make some money off the items we don't need. We've been giving away and selling stuff and will put anything that we can't get rid of on a dump trailer that comes next Monday.
There's many good things to this process but the best one so far is that I am busy. Being busy keeps me from the fridge and the food drawer.

Greetings Friends,
It's been a crazy busy day and I feel like I've been on the go all day. And the next couple of days look like they'll be just as hectic. But as @LoraineGB says, busy keeps me out of the fridge and out of the larder.
I amazed myself today by doing 8 push ups today! Actually, 7.5 would be more honest as I brushed the rug with my stomach before finally being able to push myself up on the last one!

Alrighty, heading in the right direction despite a few hiccups
PW: 142.4
CW: 140.0 (-2.4)
I won't be able to weigh in next week because I'll be leaving for the Redwoods on Monday and won't be back until Saturday. Hopefully the pre-wedding nerves won't make me want to eat everything in sight And I'm hoping that all the hiking will counteract the many....many...hours in the car.
As for my workouts in the meantime, I've been focusing on really low-impact stuff lately. I'll bike and walk, but I've really been focusing on my yoga and it's been really nice, especially as I try to suck up the last bit of nice weather here. I learned quickly that Montana doesn't actually have a fall, or a spring for that matter. It goes from 80 to -20 and back again. Winter starts Sept/Oct and doesn't end until late June (seriously, I had to postpone taking my car to the dealership because of a June snowstorm and it was in the 40s for most of the month)7 -

Wait a minute. Are the pre-wedding nerves, um, because you are getting married? Did we miss that? Do tell!!
Great job on the -2.4 by the way4 -
I'm DONE with preparing and cooking for the day. The gigantic pile of beautiful ripe roma tomatoes are now turned into sauce and put away in the freezer. A heap of green stuff (zucchini and spinach, mostly) is now green soup. Red peppers are chopped and frozen or roasted. I'm very tired of standing in the kitchen, but at least I had a great book to listen to!
I was good on food and did an intense Pilates session this morning before all the cooking, but I did not get my practicing done today. First thing tomorrow. No more skipping days! It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so it will be a good time to play music and do laundry.
@LoraineGB You are amazing! Having to pay for every box is a great way to cut down on stuff, but you are really doing it right. I'm inspired.
@Kali225 go baby steps! You got up this morning and did that walk - a win.
Things are looking lovely green so far this week5 -
Yesterday was not the greatest but I worked out at 9:30pm Instead if skipping!! Also the sit-ups daily are going well! I’ve been tracking and meal planning ahead of time which is helping! I also have most of next weeks meal plan created!! Hope everyone has a great week!!5

Step report will be coming up shortly (thanks @YinxFed .. appreciate those kind words).. may need an extra day or two to compile it depending on how the next couple days go.
We had the celebration of life on Tuesday at noon and it was a good reconnection with an extended member of Brad's family. We stayed at her house visiting for the day and we are meeting up for breakfast and some sightseeing again today. Not sure when we will catch the ferry back to the mainland but we will need to no later than Saturday (but thinking likely Friday).
Not being as active as we normally are on vacation, but sometimes ya gotta roll with the punches. I'll have to ensure my resolve returns the second I get home - no excuses from there
@MoonlitMuse Sending you best wishes for the wedding!!5 -

Great week with steps! And I am also right there with you and @Terytha ... twenty pounds in the last 6 months and I still can't get a grip on it. Life is busier now than in a long, time. I haven't mastered it YET! Hopefully, I can soon without too much damage because I am getting near the top of my weight limit ever.4 -
Finally the internet is back! We have been alternating weather-related outages and the taller half working on the electrical system today. It has been quite lovely not being able to get online most the day! I got the phone calls done, the workouts in, plenty of practicing (with recording bits just to drive myself crazy), walks in the woods, and the sad discovery that every single apple in our little orchard is GONE! They are not on the ground, not on the trees. I think they must have fallen (due to some unfortunate ailment) and when I mowed the other day, I probably sucked them all up into the clippings. The grass was seriously long, so I did not see a thing. In any case - one job less! I will be sad not to have our lovely apples, but the trees are now quite ancient, and this might be indicating that it is time to start replacing them. Good thing I still have jelly from last fall...
On my walk in the woods today, though - there was a complete riot of very colourful mushrooms. Bright red, orange, yellow and every shade in between. Here is a cute one -7 -

@bowens1973 & @ashleycarole86 -- If you two travellers want to have a week EXC from weigh-in, that is OK! You'll be home soon and can just relax for this week. Let me know2 -

Great colors in those woods! Sorry to hear about the apples but glad that you have one or 2 fewer things on your list considering the upcoming performances and travel plans! Let me know when you're thinking about going to NC and I'll see if I can pull it together to go, too. If I can't, perhaps Monica can.
I can feel the length of days shortening, I swear! My inner bear is pushing me to nosh and nap. It's amazing that any of us can keep from fattening up for the cold months coming. I'm glad so many on the team have been in the green this week 'cause I may not have kept my lead from last week at the rate I'm going. I've worked more hours this week because my immediate coworker is away on vacation (on the Cape) and if I'm not there when the clients come in, they're not very pleased.
Well, off to bed. I hope we all have lovely traveling dreams and solid REMs before daylight.

Hello!
It's been awhile since I checked in. All is going well and work is shaping up nicely. Last weekend I was able to get two walks in, date night with the husband, sewing and my husband and I made Mason jar terrariums with native plants from our forest @jugar I would love some of those mushrooms for my terrariums! To avoid the whats for dinner situation I used my clean simple eats macro cook books this week. Took the week one shopping list to the store and now I just cook the recipes. So nice! The 5 am workouts are going surprisingly very well. I'm getting up easily and I am really thankful to have my workout done for the day. Lunch prep isn't going exactly how I want. I just envisioned myself being able to do it faster. I was probably being a little ambitious since it is food for 5 people and takes about 40 minutes. All that prep makes a big difference in the morning routine and I am a lot calmer while directing the children through the morning routine. At work we screened little kids who may need special ed evaluations. There were sooooo many of them and it took 4 hours straight with new kids arriving every 10 minutes. It went pretty smooth considering it was the first one of the year!
@PlaneMonkey I feel annoyed for you when your spouse goes through his healthy for a few days phase over and over again 😉 I have had some success in those situations by cooking a protien, a carb and then a vegetable or salad. Then you have to each plate your own portions of the different macros based on individual needs. That way you provided the healthy options but didn't monitor the portions or combinations.
@Kali225 You have had a whirlwind of activity lately! Hope you get settled into a schedule you like soon. Good luck with the furniture!
@MoonlitMuse Congrats on the upcoming wedding!
@mick48 Hope you get into a routine soon as well. The first few weeks of preschool is like herding cats!
@Melissa0711 Wow late night workouts take some serious dedication 👏 nice work!4 -
Thanks @jugar
Brad is definitely taking you up on that
His words.. "I'm having a good vacation and I don't want the scale to ruin it"
I'll weigh in - I have my scale and I do every day anyway. You've been on this ride before so you know what to expect
I'll be back on the regular team for a bit, no doubt about it. The good thing is I feel ready to be back to my routines. Shouldn't be hard to get back to business as soon as I get home.
I'd like to think I don't need to freefall as much as I have been on these vacations but I'm clearly not finding my groove to handle them any differently yet. A work in progress!4 -

Thanks! @ashleycarole86 did say that when you moved your step count shot up and that's what's happening for me. I can't tell you the last time I had a week where I did so many days over 10k
What is it with this funk? I get up every day planning to do well and then...... I have two favourite sayings, one is 'don't confuse efforts with results' and the other is 'the road to hell is paved with many intention', well I seem to be living and breathing the road to hell right now. I'm hoping this move will get me back on track and I hope settling into your new job and school year has the same effect for you.

I will try to continue to creep in the right direction.
There was no hockey this week due to a scheduling conflict between the teams so fingers crossed I will be able to get back out and sweaty next week. I'm hoping to go to the free public skating in my village this friday night to try out my mom's old skates to see if they will work as a backup pair for me. Mine are made of fibreglass (I guess to make them lighter) and they have started to crack around the heel. There's not much structural integrity left so I want to be prepared if they have a catastrophic failure during a game. not prepared enough to actually buy myself new skates though... Hoping for a "free" option first!
Last night we had a thai shrimp red curry with red peppers and sweet potatoes. very filling and delicious. I only made a small serving of rice to go with it and as there was no leftover rice, hubby didn't go back for seconds of the curry. maybe that's the secret for him.

@LoraineGB Ahhhh the funky road paved with all those intentions. As long as you land on some of them some of the time, you're making progress, right?
@PlaneMonkey I hope the skates hold up and that your mom's old ones can take over if needed. Buying new skates, hiking boots, all those things that need to be sturdy but well broken in to your feet is torture! I hate buying any kind of shoes, but those hard-used kinds are the most difficult to part with when they age and break down. I just finally found a new pair of boots to use for snowshoeing this winter after dragging my old pair through one more winter than I really should have. A good cobbler helps, but they finished the season beyond repair.
I'm thinking about my favourite season on its way It is going down into the nice cold temps now. Friday night will be close to frost. My kind of weather report. Of course, it will be a while before it really gets here, but I can feel it coming!5 -

Ugh.
So some facts about this weeks weight. My FIL is here and as he is 83 and unsteady on his feet, we put him in the master suite. This means I weighed on different scales in a guest bathroom on small tiled floor, so not a flat surface. It is also an hour before I usually weigh and we had Mexican last night. Facts not excuses - excuses are what I appear to use for not doing exercise 🤷🏼♀️

Wow! This is a serious drop for me. Once I went to work and quit freaking out...the stress melted away and so did the pounds. I also hit my macros daily except for my one day I take off. I also was up at 5 AM every work day for my morning workouts. I took one rest day a week and then got walks in on the weekend. Feeling really good about my efforts and definitely easier with the work/school routine going.9 -
