Happy Friday Shape Shifters! I'm happy to report that I got myself back on track this week with nutrition, logging and with a calorie deficit everyday. Had a small weight gain today, but will keep at it this coming week, hoping it's just water weight and hormones.
Congrats to everyone! It's motivating to read about all your progress (steps, workouts, races, meal-prepping and losses) that others are posting this week.
We had a lot of snow overnight. This morning I did a 20min weight workout, 30mins of snow shoveling and then a 30min dog walk! It will be a busy and active weekend for us. I'm on the ice tomorrow for 2hrs of hockey practice with my kids and then have my own game on Sunday. I was hoping to cross country ski, but don't think I can fit it in...or will have any energy left for it.

Yesterday was day 30, so I'll be giving it a rest for a few days at least. I may not try for another 10Kaday badge. Instead, I want to try alternating between shorter and longer walk days, to see if that helps, just like with weight lifting, where you work your muscles every other day.5 -

I’m starting to feel human again after this bout of bronchitis but still have some lingering congestion and cough. It’s been interesting to see the fluctuations in my vitals. My blood glucose was quite high (for me) while I was sick, along with my resting heart rate. Both stats have been dropping as I am improving. My energy level has been improving as well. I’m starting to track again so hopefully I will see some progress. I still have to make an appointment to get a cortisone shot in my knee; hopefully that will help with swelling and I can get back to walking.6 -

To be fair, I'm on a different scale and my race is Sunday so I'm eating more and drinking lots of fluids. Unfortunately, some of the fluid is wine....
However, my morning run was great! My daughter and cousin are in town and we are having a great time!
My VO2 Max was 40! The highest I've been since I've started recording.

Good morning Shape Shifters. Seeing a lot of great weigh ins, go us!
Yesterday the weather was still not being nice and we weren't able to go for a walk at all. I was not about to sit on my butt all day though, so I did a 40 minute workout in the living room as usual. I felt a bit awkward with my mom being in the same room, but it's my mom, so I got over it fast. She told me I did a good job.We walked to the restaurant in the evening, thankfully we made it there mostly dry. I both like and dislike eating out, and sometimes I am not sure if it's worth it. The food is nice, but it is always too much. I am never able to turn down a dessert, when the main meal is already plenty. I guess it's because I only eat out with my mom, which is 5 or 6 times a year. So it feels a shame to skip the dessert. I think I will try next time though. I don't like going to bed with a stuffed belly. I am also just not really a food person, and I am just as happy to eat at home. I will give it some thinks. Happy Saturday everyone

I got up early yesterday for Dance fit but got there & the class was cancelled.I did a bit in the gym instead..Later that morning I felt 🤢 so put the heating on & just rested on my sofa watching TV.I had to go to the local supermarket in the evening but that's all I did.
So my steps were low that day.
Glad that the scales have moved.I feel OK today so hopefully go for a swim or gym.Sometimes at weekends alot of kids go to the pool & as I do lengths I prefer an empty pool.
Then I plan to visit a big warehouse to look at wardrobes for my newly decorated bedroom.A good day to get lots of steps in.
