@Dianedoessmiles1 I live in Palmdale (Antelope Valley/High Desert). We get freezing temps now and then, but the freezing temps have remained since last Fall. We warmed up to the 40's (F) for a few days, then it will be back down to freezing temps again early am. The wild flowers haven't bloomed here yet, but south of me they bloomed early. It really has been a crazy year weather wise.

@Dianedoessmiles1 I don't really mind the time changes after the body and mind adjust. They keep talking about keeping DST year round in Florida but that would be so confusing if the other states don't do it as well. It is hard enough to keep track of time zones let alone some states on DST and some not.

@jeanhickokhaley1 OH MAN!! I'd LOVE someday to see the flowers bloom there. I am pretty sure it's GORGEOUS to the max!! Stunning!! You are so fortunate! Any pics you'd like to share, WOOHOO!!! LOL Tomorrow NO DOUBT I'll be putting up a few of the snow. It'll be a day storm (Starting some at 4 AM but not picking up until 11 AM through 7 PM) perfect daylight time! The wind no doubts we'd rather do without at 40 to 50 MPH. With the snow, some will lose electricity. We haven't lost it so far this year, they must of fixed the lines which we are grateful for. I do though live outside of Portland (Maine LOL THE FIRST Portland here) in a city close by. I'm so fortunate.2

Good Evening Everyone!
Snow all day again but no work as it's not sticking to sidewalks. Completed all exercise, studied, did laundry and dishes. Also organized one of my kitchen cabinets and played cards with Hubby. Heard back from school. It was delivered on February 24 according to the tracking number. I was home that day when it was apparently delivered. So I contacted Canada Post and was informed that since it has been more than 3 days since delivery the sender has to start the investigation with Canada Post. Messaged the school back and informed them of this. Waiting for a response.1 -
Just stopping by and saying Hi. Our granddaughter Daralyn and great grandson are here in Texas visiting her mother (our daughter Denyse). We are getting together on Thursday. Sending hugs and blessings. Here is a picture of Daralyn and Karson from last year.

@Cseguin2 ,,, SO SORRY about the package. That happens a lot here in the States too. UGH UGH UGH!!! Glad you didn't get much snow (unless you wanted it?). WOOHOO in 12 hours we'll be at the start of one going until around 11 PM!! WOOOHOOO can watch it during the daylight!! loving it!!

One of those nights where I won't respond to the individual posts. The kitty in the photo was Cattawissa. She is my stalker and follows me everywhere. I am glad that those loving the snow is getting a nor'easter. Enjoy!!!❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
I got to bed earlier and slept later than I ever do -- 10:00 I awoke. My fur babies let me sleep--the sweetie pies.
Today, I think I am one step closer to solving the computer problem. I finally made contact with the a tech who understands the problem and can fix it. I need to research a better internet server since ours is so slow. A whole new chapter. I kept my calories down but filled the calorie intake with empty calories--a delicious brownie and peanut butter cookies.
Tomorrow's words are Courage and Gratitude.

@Catwmncat - It was decent. I was able to relax. I have so much I have to do now for the wedding. Since it is getting closer.
@CSEGUIN2 - Same here. It snowed but nothing stuck. There was no extra on our cars or anything.

I’ve been enjoying all of the posts earlier about putting gardens in and the warm weather. @NovemberGail, I love the snow, but…it is March already.
I’m ready to get rid of all of this white stuff. 🙄

@tjharleygal55 -Oh my goodness...that picture is beautiful! I love, love winter. What state are you in that you are getting that much snow? I live in Michigan and we haven't got nearly that much and it is going to start melting tomorrow.

@NovemberGail -Awesome that you found someone to fix your computer. Hope you get some faster internet. Makes a huge difference. This time change has me waking up super early. Get a chance to sleep in until like 8 and I wake up at 6. Go figure.

@tjharleygal55 ,, SO PRETTY!! Where do you live? I am in Maine and it started to snow here just over an hour ago. It'll snow for at least 12 more hours, it's coming down at a good pace.

Good morning everyone, sure hope you are enjoying your day and having a blast at what ever you have planned. I am going to go do some exercises in a bit and maybe burn a few calories that I had too many of yesterday !!!
@ginnaboots love the picture not only the sun setting but the lighthouse ( at least I think it is, it could be something else) as well. One thing I dont' think I have in all my pics is a light house, think I might have to remedy that! I dont' know if I would want to live in one though, I do want a treehouse some day ... with butterfly bushes and what ever else I need to attract them. Is that building functioning or is it abandoned at this point?
@tjharleygal55 only @Dianedoessmiles1 would think that all that snow is pretty - at some point, one gets tired of it, I know I would lol

Good Evening Everyone!
Today is sunny but cold. Last night it snowed so I had a dusting to clean and then salt as it was a little icy underneath. That was around 8 am and my fingers froze even with gloves on. Oh well more money in my pocket. Went to TOPS. Gained 3.5 lbs. I know where the struggles were and am working on fixing it. Also today I also had a moment of being honest with myself. You see when Hubby hurt his hand I was using it as an excuse not to play Wii sports and march. He was willing to play the whole time with the opposite hand. Well that excuse stopped today and we played. Felt good to do that instead of playing cards. I need the extra exercise as we're partying at our friends Thursday for her heaven bound Hubby's birthday, and Friday for St. Patrick's day. Also got word from school that they have started the investigation with Canada Post. Otherwise I have no clue what's going to happen with my course. Waiting for a response about that.1 -

@Dianedoessmiles1 this year should be spectacular due to all the rain. I will post a pic from 2019. That year was beautiful as well. It really is breath taking. It looks cold where you live.
@Kurtize your Granddaughter is pretty, and your grandson is adorable. Have a wonderful visit! We have buds on our trees as well.

Love all the comments on the snow and the gentle razzing of snow lovers. It's been so cold here the last couple of days that I miss February's weather. Go figure.
Still working out computer issues today but made some more headway. Yeah!
As I was walking back to my cottage this evening, the pear blossoms were none the worse from last night's cold weather and today's. The word that came to mind is
RESILIENCY.

@Lindiemaep ,, in a tiny bit after I catch up on the chats (The wind is so wild I am just waiting to see if we maintain power, many around us are out) and I'll look out the window. I heard we now have some snow build up. Pretty pics!!
@Kurtize, indeed it's a choice, even on the worse of days. It's still a choice of what we will let our minds linger on. Not all days are great, on those unreal hard ones, we can still be grateful for something.
@Cseguin2 ,, NICE on the extra cash!! Hope they find the package!!! I hate gaining, with events I try to make it about the event, not the food. Ohhhh I am such a foodie!!! Seems like there's always something going on for all of us. Hopefully, soon things will settle for you.

Tuesday ~ Honey Vanilla Greek Yogurt and Two-Ingredient Pumpkin Spice ~ (not pictured) Healthy Pineapple Crisp ~ Roasted Turkey Breast, White Sweet Potato, Green Beans and Cranberry Apple Ginger Chutney ~ Caramel Rice Cakes with Almond Butter, SF Caramel Sauce and Dark Chocolate ChipsBusy day decluttering and yard work so I hit the carbs hard. Craving sweets and more sweets so my after dinner snack ended up being more calories than my dinner.

I hope you are doing well this morning. Today is going to be a good day. I have to work both my jobs today and I know I am going to be so tired. I am sure. I also work both jobs tomorrow night. We will see how things are going to see if I am able to actually go into work. I am not really feeling like working today. I will do it though.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - It i going to be I am sure. I got offered a job through AAA so that is awesome. I am waiting for my background check to come through. If all goes well I will be starting April 5th.
@LindieMaeP - I did plan on it being a good day and it was. I will hopefully be starting a new job as of April 5th. I am excited.

Diane-Oh that view is incredible! Absolutely beautiful. Yes went on a hike yesterday. I will miss the snow! It is starting to melt today which is a big bummer! I love winter so much! Me and you sis are in the minority for sure...lol.
Lindie-Yes it is a lighthouse in the picture. We have a lot of them along the shoreline. We were taking a ride that evening and I turned around to see the sunset and told my husband to stop so I could take a picture. I am always taking pictures just like you. Some days I just hike and don't take any because I want to focus on the beauty and the peacefulness out there. Oh my goodness those pictures are so gorgeous. The flowers are spectacular! Love tulips!
Kurtize-Love that meme. I would rather be a flower than a weed...lol. Although sometimes I am a weed....hahahaha! Sometimes I say it like I see it and it doesn't go over well.....hahahaha!

@Patti241 ,,, Its a pretty day up here today. STRANGELY We ended up NO SNOW accumulation yesterday!! SO STRANGE!! It did snow all day. Inland a tiny bit from 4 to 10, in NH LOL one town had over 33"s. They must be higher up though in the mountains. For awhile last night the wind was so strong I had to wonder if the building would be okay. It was that strong. Of course I knew it would be, yet,, the thought ran though my mind.
@Ginnaboots,, LOL I am usually in the oddball group anyways, but the GOOD oddball club. Winter is so pretty!! Sure one has to shovel, but during the dead of summer, being outside with a mower does zero for me. JUST ONLY 9 MORE MONTHS and our SNOW WILL BE BACK!!! Hope work went well!
@Novembergail,, WHAT A COOL bluebird house!! That'd be so much fun to watch. LOL it's cold to me today with the wind gusts still be around 30. The air temp is 37, but the wind chill is 28. I am an INSIDE GAL TODAY!!

Good morning everyone, I sure hope all are well during the nasty weather some are getting. We have sun today and I know I am going to get out for a walk but later this afternoon maybe before dinner. My grandfather always went for a walk after dinner - you could always tell what time it was and I used to go with him from time to time. We never talked just walked ...
@ginnaboots oh I would love to see the light houses - I have never actually been in one, can you imagine living in one? Na I want a tree house - and definetely need willow trees and butterfly bushes and milkweed to attract the butterflies! There are times I just walk too and enjoy the area. This morning doing laundry I caught a plane landing ! Must be our plane for next week, getting ready to load us, er board us LOL

@Catwmncat I never thought of putting chocolate chips with the almond butter on my popcorn cakes, guess what I am adding, gonna go get the ghiradelli ones for that, they are awesome ... besides, the Thomas Haas ones are almost all gone !! LOL Keep posting your foods, I get good ideas and then I share - my sister was told to do a 15 hour intermitten fasting to loose weight - you know she not happy, but maybe i can give her some tips to help her, when she asks, so far nope...

@Dianedoessmiles1 -did you get snow yesterday (3/14?) we were supposed to either get 6-8 inches or 1 inch. We got the one and it didn’t stick on the roads or sidewalks2

Good afternoon, Everyone! First off, want to thank all who posted the beautiful flower pics! @LindieMaeP @NovemberGail @jeanhickokhaley1 (Sorry if I missed anyone) I love flowers so much! (We live in the northern part of WI, called The Northwoods. We’re almost at the border of WI and the Upper Peninsula of MI.) Hubby and I tried to plant flowers & bushes the first 2 summers we had our place up here and the deer ate everything! Dh tried it all to prevent it. He then went to the garden center to see what they would suggest. After asking what kinds of plants/flowers won’t the deer eat, she told him “plastic”. 😂
I love the snow as long as I can go out and do things in it. Walking outdoors has been hard this winter, mainly b/c we’ve had too much ice to deal with. I have an aversion to falling down. 😉 Anyway, with all of the snow we have had this month, we decided to go out on our snowmobiles yesterday. The temps were perfect! It was warm enough to be really comfortable, but not too warm to melt the snow yet. Also, there weren’t very many people who were out, so it was almost virgin snow. I’ve never had such a beautiful ride! Posted a pic below.
@ginnaboots I love lighthouses. They are so majestic. Catching it at sunset makes the scene so breathtaking.
@NovemberGail We use to have bluebirds before we moved. I do miss them, but can’t complain too much. Here we have bald eagles all around. We actually have 3 nesting pairs on our lake alone.

@LindieMaeP You are right about eventually getting tired of the snow. I might complain a bit, for sure by April, but I miss it just the same. Got to have my four seasons. Btw, I absolutely love tree houses, too! Been trying to talk dh into building one somewhere…anywhere on our property, but still hasn’t happened. Have you ever heard of Tree House Point near Seattle, WA? It is kind of like a B&B, but you stay in tree houses! It is the coolest place! We were able to stay there about 8 yrs ago. There was a show called Tree House Masters years ago and the guy who led the builds owns this place. If you like treehouses, you’ve got to check it out!
