I am still plugging along, logging my food and eating every last calorie. In fact, yesterday, I was 24 over, but I was really hungry so I was okay with that. My knee is feeling a lot better but I still haven't gone for any purposeful walks, just getting some steps in doing much neglected chores around the house.

    Keep persevering. You're doing great!

My daughter graduates High School tomorrow ... She has been a straight A student.... Proud mama ... I am gonna miss homeschooling her ...She will be going to the local college here to start her Veterinarian career :)

Happy graduation to your daughter. Last Thursday it was my granddaughter’s prom, last night it was her graduation and next Thursday it is my daughter’s graduation from nursing. I am so proud of them both.

Thanks Linda .... That is awesome :)

    CW: 213.6

    Thursday Recap

    - Eating only at Hunger Level 3: Yes for lunch, not for dinner
    - Water (Goal 64 oz) : 80+ oz
    - Increased intensity while walking on treadmill: yes, plus outside walk for 30 minutes

    - THOUGHTS: Weigh in day.... It was a roller coaster week but down is down, I'll take it. I'm going to have to work on reducing my lunch so that I can be hungry (3) at dinner.

Slow And Steady Wins The Race

I personally struggle with this but have to remember that I didn't gain this weight in a week or month or even a year! I want it gone yesterday, but it took me over 20 years to get to where I am now. I don't want to take another 20 years to get back but I think over the course of a year or even two should be doable.

    Weight History
1999 to 2002 - 4 years - Gained 30lbs (7lb to 8lbs each year) My Mom died in Nov 1998, I moved, extra responsibility of my disabled sister...yada yada yada
    2003 to 2004 - 2 years - No Gain
    2005 to 2013 - 9 years - Averaged 2lbs a year for a total of 18 more pounds
2014 to 2014 - 1 year - Gained 8lbs - Got married in Feb, started cooking meals every day, going out to eat, pizza ordered in etc
2015 to 2016 - 2 years - Gained 5lbs - Lost my job of 17 years, started commuting for new job 3+ hours per day
2017 to 2017 - 1 year - Lost 15lbs - Keto for the first half of the year. 26 year old stepdaughter moved in
2018 to 2019 - 2 years - Gained 15lbs - started new job but primarily sedentary and stress of house guest
    2020 to 2022 - 3 years - Lost 5lbs - Lost 5 - House guest moved out, covid Gained 6 - Back to in office, sedentary, Loss 6. Net 5lbs
    2023 to 2023 - 1 year - So far down about 10.
Over the course of 25 years, I have gained 84 pounds and lost 36.

    Step Challenge - Goal 8,500

    6/4 4,861
    6/5 11,280

Slow and steady does win the race. It has taken me 4 years to lose my weight. I had a few setbacks over those years that caused stress and in turn resulted in weight gain. If it takes me 4 more years to get to goal I am fine with that.

    Nice loss!

Lost the Vegas gain plus some. No water gain from last nights pizza. The cake was beautiful and tasty. My granddaughter looked lovely in her cap and gown. Next Thursday it’s my daughter’s nursing graduation and my birthday. More cake and eating out. We never got home until late and my back is very unhappy. Today I am going to take it easy. I will swim before grocery shopping tomorrow giving me my 4 days of exercise.

    Have a great Friday!

    Woowooo! Solid work buddy!
