@CasandraW The woosh is very real! But my weight has just been moving so little this whole week. It went 216.2 - 216.4 - 216.4 - 216.0 - 216.0 - 215.1 - 215.1 - 215.3. It just feels like the woosh should have already happened. I am having a 'screw it' day today, and then back to the healthy eating again.

@Pupowl For me, even that one “screw it day” a week is what makes me weight drop so slowly. I finally had 1 week where I had no screw it’s all week and lost 1.5 pounds. Maybe consider a not so screw it day instead. 🤞

For people celebrating Thanksgiving come up - what's your plans? Travel? Hiking into the wilderness to isolate?
I have a new neighbor and she was showing me photos of her cats, and she had this new one that had come up. I recognized my elderly orange boy, lol, she had him dressed up in the photo with a mini-bandana around his neck. It was adorable. He's such a tubby boy though, really doesn't look like a stray except he's a little threadbare and has some health issues due to age. He's in the house 22 hours out of 24 but I guess he went to visit at some point. lol, I loved the bandana. He has thin fur so I have an electric heated blanket(s) for him and wherever he decides to sleep for the day I'll turn it on or he's on my lap. He is living a sweet retirement life! (And apparently has fans!)

Two (count 'em! TWO) Thanksgiving meals. Lunch with the in-laws at their retirement community and Dinner with my family. My mom has promised not to put on a huge meal, just concentrate on having fun spending time together, which she loves. I plan to be logging food religiously on the day of; not in real time (that might come off as a bit rude ) but definitely taking eating breaks to take stock of the calorie situation. I'm going to concentrate more on the hanging out with family and watching American football. Emphasis on the experience, not the eating!5 -

Wednesday steps 4919.
I woke up this morning with a cold. I seen my endocrinologist yesterday and things were good. I see my primary care provider tomorrow and do labs for push. I'll see if my pcp can oder some cold meds for me.6 -
@Pupowl I feel for you with the frustration on the scales.Dont be a slave to them & eventhough I sometimes weigh daily it's not recommended as everyone knows your weight can fluctuate for all sorts of reasons.Just stick with what you're doing weigh once a week,record & track accurately & you've got this !!
I've been eating all the leftover party food this week & as I've felt so exhausted I've not even done many steps.So it's likely my good streak on the weight loss front may be coming to the end.My throat was very sore all day today so I'm off to bed with 2 paracetamol & my hot water bottle.

@daria0919 No worries, it just seemed like you didn't see my whole post I try to do well as much as I can, but sometimes I need a break from watching calories and just eat whatever I want (within reason). If you can eat perfect all the time, I am very impressed!2 -

@izzyred9400 Thank you! I think weighing once a week works better for most people. I like having the data every day, but when it starts getting to me, it is probably better to stop doing it. Hope you get some good rest and don't get sick!1 -
Good morning Shape Shifters. I went to the store early in the morning before the rain started. I saw they had some new cheap puzzles going on sale, so I wanted to check them out. I found a nice Kinkade puzzle of Alice in Wonderland. They also had a Lion King which I didn't like and a Beauty and the Beast one which I already had. I got another wooden puzzle as well. This is only my second wooden puzzle, the first one was pretty crappy quality of very thin wood. This one is so much nicer! I might get one or two more; they also had an owl, dog and turtle and they were all pretty. I tried to take some selfies with Tinus which is always challenging, but I think one of them was nice. I’m weighing early this week because tomorrow I’m leaving for the Bahamas early in the morning with my son and husband. Also, it’s my birthday tomorrow !

I hate my scale here in Houston. It doesn’t seem that accurate and only weighs in .5 pound increments. Good thing I’ll be back in Colorado in less than 10 days.
For Thanksgiving, I will cooking for myself, my husband and son, parents and brother. Hopefully it will go okay. Going to see a theatre performance of A Christmas Carol on the Friday after which I’m looking forward to.

So, in essence, busy with both jobs big quarterly mtg was Monday and next Monday which means 10 min for lunch break and sitting most of the day from 8AM until whenever we get done
At least I'm off from both jobs over the weekend to catch up on home stuff and decorate for Christmas

I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving!! My daughter and her cat arrived today, and more relatives are arriving this weekend. Now that we live in Miami, everyone wants to visit lol. I honestly love it, though. I am only FOUR pounds away from a 100 pound loss! Having said that, however, I doubt I’ll reach that goal during the holiday haha. And that’s okay. Here’s a pic of my daughter’s cat, Goose. I adore him. And since losing my dog in September, I’m excited for all the kitty snuggles in my future🩷

@nancyinmo - Same! First time people will travel to come and see me and I just happen to live in an Oregon wilderness area near a beach, lol. I have never been to Miami though, I would really like to, especially during our cold rainy season! It has a real energy to it, I think it would keep me young if I lived there. Love Goose! Wow, almost 100lbs down - what's your secret?

Good morning Shape Shifters. I went to get groceries in the morning. Later in the day I decided to go back to the other store for the wooden puzzles. All the Disney puzzles were gone, the panaroma's were gone, the Wasgij puzzles were gone and there was ONE wooden puzzle left! Thankfully it wasn't the cat again, that would have been annoying. Instead I was lucky and they had an owl left, so it went home with me. The rest of the day was lazy with lots of Tinus laptime. Happy Friday everyone
