How I am changing my eating habits by only 1% every day is impacting my life. Normally when I attempt to lose weight I want to make a major change so I can have a major success. But this time I am focused on making very small changes frequently that, with time, will lead to major success. The idea presented in the book Atomic Habits by James Clear is that if I make just 1% change in my eating every day, then at the end of the year I will have made a 37% change. That is huge!

My small change today is learning something new about how I am eating, how what I am eating today is better or worse for me. Increasing understanding of my way of eating is very important to understanding how it impacts my behavior, sleep patterns, health affects, relationships, and social interactions. I'm going to spend just 10 minutes today to examine what I eat, when I eat, how I eat, who I'm eating with, and the impact it has on me.
