HOW IT ALL WORKS: The June challenge runs for five weeks, from June 29th - August 2nd.
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get July on the road! 😎

MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (9 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is 2 yrs old. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. At my highest weight, I was 257 lbs. I just had gastric bypass surgery on Dec 20, 2024 to save my life. I had to do something fast as I was losing my mobility. I haven’t had to use a cane since my surgery! I hope to get down to around 165 lbs, or whatever is healthy for me. For exercise, I like to walk with my husband and friends. Up until my surgery, the arthritis in my knee limited me a lot. I am doing a lot better since surgery and a cortisone shot. Besides walking, I occasionally do water aerobics or hike. I also joined a gym at the beginning of June, and very much enjoy going and lifting weights. My goal is to age gracefully and be able to get up off the floor if I fall. I want to remain independent as long and as much as possible. My husband and I love to cook, I've got 9,244 recipes saved but who's counting? LOL Seriously, I do and they are all organized, so if you need a recipe for ANYTHING, let me know! I've got everything from healthy foods to pet treats to recipes for cleaning supplies. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods.
Here's me:

@Cornanda It said the same thing for me , so I let it go and checked on it a couple hours later. I wish it were faster! Last night, I did a different image for a birthday card I'm making, and after 2 hours, it still wasn't done. I love the cartoon of Gus! Oh no, I didn't take your comment like that at all. Thank you for wanting to clarify, though!
@Digger61 Congrats on the loss . I hope you are doing well!
@micaroo4 Cute kitties .
@Katmary71 I have a TON of leftovers ! I want to put some in the freezer but our freezer has a lot of stuff in it. I may bring some to work for coworkers! Ah, I knew it was going to cause a gain, I read that, so I shouldn't be so upset. Thank you! That photo of Daisy is what I submitted, the photo of the golden retriever is what ChatGPT gave me back! LOL Thank you! I'm glad your muffins came out well. How fun to let the kitties run around! Challenge ideas: I don't know, let me think about that. The kittens are beautiful and look like they are doing well. They all seem to have their own personalities!
Hi all. The gym was okay. My lower back was bugging me a bit so I skipped one exercise. I did add an exercise so it all worked out evenly. My husband wasn't done when I was done so I got on the treadmill for 25 minutes. I was wearing my weightlifting shoes, which are flat-bottomed and not very supportive, they are made by Sperry...kind of like Converse All-Stars. That was a mistake! My feet ached so bad all day after that. We did go to the zoo. We got there later than I wanted to get there (about an hour after it opened) so it was really busy. We walked around and my knee was bugging me a bit. I shouldn't have done lower body day at the gym that day. NSV: my husband noticed I was less out of breath going up the hills at the zoo (there are a LOT of hills there!). This morning, I am meeting a friend for coffee and then going to the gym by myself after that. I wonder if the gym will be busier. I hope not.

@Cornanda, yes, I could get someone to come in and help me, but from what I've read they want a minimum of hours a week, and I don't like the idea of a stranger hanging out in my house. However, that day will probably come, and I need to figure everything out now. I did order a high-quality gait belt with handles to help me control his movements more effectively than by grabbing his shirt or arm. Joe goes to his oncologist for blood work on Tuesday, and I am hoping it’s his hemoglobin or potassium causing his excessive weakness. I am always going to be worried about the colitis or, worse, the twisted colon returning. You are right that doctors aren’t much help. We must be both advocate and detective, trying to determine what is needed. I feel so much for your dad and often think about you all and what you're having to take care of. (((hugs))).
@Katmary71 I love meeting your adorable kitties and learning about their names and personalities. I want them all!! 😍
@trooworld Sounds like you need to bring better shoes for when you end up walking on the treadmill. That is an awesome NSV that your breathing was easier going up hills! I hope the gym isn’t crowded and that you enjoy your time with your friend. 🙂
Good morning! Not much going on today. I decided to rest my back and not work out. It has been fun having the girls here. They are so precious and bring a lot of life into the house. Joe adores watching them. We watched kid-friendly TikToks and played with ChatGPT. I turned them into cartoon characters, see below! 😆 I'm totally up for a July challenge! I want to track my exercise and calories this month. The goal is to lose at least 6 lbs by the end of July. 👍Elena and Hanna! 😍

@Katmary71- The kitties are so SO cute and it sounds like they all have nice personalities. As for my attitude, my thought is that now that I am aware of my annoyance, I can stop the pattern sooner.
@trooworld- Great NSV and how about the fact that you were able to walk that much with sore feet. I think that is one too. And after a weight workout to boot! Chat GPT has been working on a second image I requested for 14 hours now. I may try something else.
@TeresaW2024 - a gait belt is good. Hopefully Joe won't be hospitalized again, but if he is the discharge planner might have some resources for you. Visiting nurse/home health is not a long term solution, but they are a great resource for helping you get your home set up and teaching you hacks to make things easier. What I often find with my Mom is that her dementia is ignored by the doctors, so you have have to ask or DEMAND that they pay attention. We understand each other, but I am far away from my parents- I'm not living it every day like you are. Ditto on thinking of you often and the hugs.

Hi 👋
@Katmary71 I give Chipper CBD drops in his food and follow up with CBD chews as needed. It really helps to keep him calm instead of freaking out and being so scared, and I stay home home with him.
Yesterday, I spent 2 1/2 hours weeding my back corner garden, boy oh boy, it wore me out, but the tall grass was taking over. Now, I have one very small garden left to clean up.
Every year our city puts on a Bridge blast. It's a big firework show they do on one of our bridges over the water. It's a big show and so beautiful. They always do it the Saturday before the fourth. We went to that last night, we left Chipper in house, I knew he would be alright since regular fireworks are not allowed until the 3rd of July.
For the next 3 days it's supposed to be in the 80's, one of them I'm going to give Chipper a bath, lol.. he's a stinky boy 😅😅😅
I don't know what my plan is for today, but I'll figure it out as I go.
Yall have a great day 😀

@TeresaW2025 your strength is to be admired . I know how hard it is to have to go down this road of finding out all the things you need to find out. Knowledge is strength, it is the unknown that makes us weaker. You should be so proud of yourself for having the courage♥️.
@trooworld the picture that you put in of Daisy is just beyond ! Oooo that face♥️♥️. I think I know what happened, it happened with Vannie. When I put Vannie's in the first time, I put the text in and then put the picture in separately. When I put the text and the picture in the same section, then it came back with Vannie's picture (I hope that makes sense what I just said). I got the same labrador picture🤣.
Wow! You are shape shifting!! You are really starting to show definition, great pictures!
@Cornanda I got the same message of it was busy , but it only took about 20 minutes. I wonder if it is regional? I have no idea how these things work, I just think where I am is way less populated lol.
@Micaroo such beautiful cats! Thanks again for the info on food sequencing, definitely making a difference for me!
@katmary71 it sounds like you are doing such a great job with the kittens , really learning to read each one of them. You are doing such an amazing job at socializing them, it sounds like you are bringing out the best in each one♥️.
The Agility match yesterday was much different than I expected and there were a lot of takeaways for me. I have only gone to matches for a short time to watch a couple of people and then leave. Yesterday I was there for six hours, my brain was so overcooked! The runs that I signed up for weren't until the very end, by that time my brain was so tired. Luckily the competition was small and because I signed up "for experience only", I was able to say that I was only going to do half of the contacts. The dogs had a lot of fun, I learned so much and although my brain was exhausted it did not make me extremely anxious, if that makes sense. We will do it again, next time I will only go for the last two or three hours. There are a lot of different kinds of courses, so I was able to get a really good idea of the whole thing. Each one of my dogs did four runs, they had fun, I learned a lot, it was a huge win! We got there at nine in the morning and got home at four in the afternoon, I was so brain dead lol. Later this afternoon, I am going to a young dog seminar with Ty, I am excited and a little nervous.
I am getting better at food sequencing and I think it was very helpful yesterday. Around lunchtime I started to feel overwhelmed and a bit jittery, I probably should have had the morning snack that I brought but I forgot. I had my food planned for the day so was able to easily reach for what I needed and eat it in the moment. I find I am eating just about the same foods but the way I am eating them is different. Before I would have spread that food throughout the day at an event like this. I am definitely finding that if I am purposeful my energy is more level throughout the day.
We got a lot accomplished earlier in the day and now we are just chilling:).
hope everybody's having a great weekend!1 -

Hi all! My name is Mica, and I live in Dover New Hampshire with my boyfriend Rich and my fabulous cat Earl. I'm 69 years old, and I work 3 days a week as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. I plan to retire in July 2026. I'm at my goal weight (range 127-133).

Your weigh in from yesterday was already transferred to the new month spreadsheet that started today so it has your old weight for the last spreadsheet AND the new spreadsheet, I'm headed to the Captain's Thread to request it being changed.
1 -
Hi everyone! I'm Co-Captain of Mission Slimpossibles along with the amazing @trooworld and our motivator is our wonderfully supportive @micaroo4 . We're happy you're here!
I'm in charge of logging all weigh ins, if you are unable to weigh in or need to change your weigh in day please let me know preferably ahead of time so we can excuse you or come up with another option. If you fail to be excused for two weigh-ins you will be dropped from the team. If you are dropped it's not the end of the world you can come back any time and re-join the team. It does take me longer to handle missed weigh ins especially after the fact as I need to report it in the captain's thread to be changed so the sooner I know the easier it will be handled. If you don't post your weigh in when the week is up the spreadsheet is usually calculated going into the next week with all the weigh ins of the different teams so chances are it won't count toward the team percentage or if you're a top winner so please get the weigh ins posted on the day you chose before that happens. Also if you'd prefer to be "support" to everyone and not weigh in yourself or if you're in maintence please let me know so we can put you in a different category. For those who are new or need a reminder the weigh ins are a friendly competition and we ARE NOT judging you. I was close to quitting the team the first year I joined because of gains and felt I was dragging the team down and luckily @TeresaW2024 and @AustinRuadhain were the leaders then and got it through my head no one was throwing darts at my photo after I posted my gains!
I'm 53 and have two cats and just started fostering a litter of 5 kittens with the rescue group I found my cats at. I file claims for work, volunteer at the food bank farm and greenhouse, have a large garden, have two beds at the community garden that I also help with, am active in the garden club, and sometimes trade office work for supplements or treatment with a functional medicine practitioner. I'm also Secretary for my HOA but luckily it's a small community and doesn't take up too much time. My roommate just moved out and my most likely next roommate will probably move in at the start of August if all goes well. I have chronic pain issues and have for a long time, I'm always trying new things to be in less pain and get inflammation down for my CRPS and spinal issues as I'm in a lot of pain and it's a challenge to get through each day. I'm about 15-20lbs overweight right now and am trying to recommit to my workouts as I've been doing the bare minimum. I lift weights, stretch, and do chair cardio, gardening, or short walking videos for cardio and try to stick to an anti-inflammatory diet.
Let's have a great July!

@laurelfit57 Thank you for those kind words! 💓I’m so glad that the Agility match went well for you and that you and the dogs had fun! How great that you didn't get too anxious and want to go again. And next time, you will know more, so your brain may not be so exhausted. I’m glad the food sequencing is working for you. It is essential to maintain your energy levels throughout the day. 🙂
I didn’t do an intro yesterday, so just in case you don’t know. I’m Teresa! 😀 I live in Georgia and spend my days taking care of my 82-year-old husband with dementia. I’m also a part-time church secretary. I’ve been struggling with my weight my whole life. I have lost and gained many times, but I refuse to give up on myself and am determined to get fit and healthy before my 60th birthday next March. 🙂
Good morning! Today, I’m determined to get Joe up and walking without falling! He hasn’t been able to walk in three days without his legs giving out on him. It’s stressing us both out! He has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, and I’m just praying we can get him into the car without a lot of drama. ☹️ This morning, I will do a lower-body workout and eat very little today. I’m hopeful that I will at least achieve a tiny loss tomorrow. 🙏 I found this cute tracker that I’m going to use for July. My goals are:- Weigh in each morning.
- At least 20 minutes of movement each day
- No snacking between meals
- Track Food in the Lose-It App (Don’t want to, but determined to do!😕)

Congrats to the whole team for achieving 1st place for the month of JUNE! and 1st place for the last week of June! Congrats to @AustinRuadhain for taking down 1st place for the month . A special shout-out goes to @txcritter69 @bobboyardee @AustinRuadhain @Digger61 and @alimalli86 for also leading the way ! I want to point out that 3 out of the 5 people that were in the green all four weeks for June were ON OUR TEAM! @txcritter69 @@AustinRuadhain and @bobboyardee incredible job !
@laurelfit57 Congrats on the loss ! I know, I love that picture of Daisy! Ah, I bet that's what happened lol. I tried again and it created a pic of a pug but it's not Daisy--- I know because it has two eyes and Daisy only has one eye! LOL Thank you! Wow, 6 hours is a long time! I'm glad you got something out of going and that the dogs enjoyed it too. How was the young dog seminar? That's great that the food sequencing is helping.
@TeresaW2024 Yes I do ! Thank you!!! I'm glad you are listening to your body. That's wonderful that you enjoyed the time with the girls. Cute pics of the girls!
@Cornanda True ! Thanks for pointing that out! Lower body weight workout to boot! ;) Try Google Gemini, it comes back much quicker, like seconds!
Hi all. I met my friend for coffee and then got to the gym at about 8:15 am. Luckily, it wasn't busy and I was able to do my workout without modifications. We went for coffee in the afternoon and that's about it. I came home and made some bookmarks for my coworkers and then made Enchiladas Suizas Verdes with chicken. The weekend went by so quickly! By the way, I tried Google Gemini and it is a LOT faster at creating images than ChatGPT!

Hi 👋
I finally finished putting all my plants in water and washing all the pots with soap and water with the exception of a few. I didn't do the ones I water from the bottom and I didn't do my corn plant, which is huge and in a different room. I'm going to wait a few days to start replanting and make sure I have the problem under control. Fingers crossed 🤞
It's going to be mid to upper 80's today. Lol… that's to hot for me, so I'll be hiding in the house.
I'm going to try and get my food choices back on track, since I've been spending so much time outside, I haven't really paid much attention, all though, I have tried to watch my portions.
Y'all have a great day 😀

My name is Jennifer and I’m a single 51 year old living in beautiful Southwest Michigan, right on the Lake (throw a stone across the Lake and you’d hit Chicago). I have an American Blue rabbit (her name is Kismet). I have 3 children in their 20s and 5 grandchildren (the oldest turned 2 in April). I go by Grammy since I consider them to be my Grammy Awards 😊
I love to rubber stamp (I’m a Stampin’ Up demo) and make cards. I'm an active member of my church, and also love horror movies. I have worked in Community Development at my County for over 20 years. Tea is life.
I have always been a yo-yo dieter, but mostly up. I have 62 pounds to lose (goal is 155). I am, by nature, a Negative Nancy, but I am trying to stay focused and positive. I see my therapist biweekly and he’s been a tremendous help with understanding that my ADHD causes me to be a dopamine chaser…both with food and acquiring things. We are now working on tools to address it.
My Mantra: 2025 is MY year!
L to R: SIL Michael holding Brayden; Daughter Hunter holding Byron; DIL Ashley with Amelia; Son Marcus holding Sophie; Daughter Sydney holding Oliver; Niece Kalyn holding Great Niece Zoey; NIL Patrick holding Great Nephew Elliott. This is my world right here 💜

@trooworld – I’m definitely printing up that Summer Corn and Veg Soup recipe…thanks! That Garbage Pail Kid of Violet was perfection! I’m so sorry you have haters watching with baited breath to see you fail. That is so disheartening. I’ll have to check out that blocker. It HAS been a long time since you talked about walking at the zoo. How awesome your hubby noticed you were less out of breath! Did YOU notice it, too?
@AustinRuadhain – Walking is what I used to do. Unfortunately, with how swollen and painful my ankle is, it’s just too difficult right now. Just walking through a grocery store is hard – my ankle gets tight and stiff and I swear I can feel the screws and clips in it. It swells up so big, too. (see below)
@laurelfit57 – That agility competition was so long! Glad you made it through the day!
@TeresaW2024 – Thank you for always being my cheer coach. I am so sorry that Joe is close to the last stage. I am keeping you both in my prayers for peace and comfort. Little girl conversations are perfect right now.
@Katmary71 – I see my therapist today and plan on talking to him about strategies to help with the compulsions to eat and shop. Those kitties are just so sweet!
@Cornanda – When I ask for modifications of a photo in Chat GPT, it will tell me it will let me know. But sometimes I don’t get a notification. Then I get out of that chat and re-open it and the picture magically appears. It’s never taken more than maybe half an hour. Just a thought… But I think I’ll take @trooworld ‘s advice and try Google Gemini the next time.
The Birthday party for Byron & Brayden was a success…and I was exhausted! Going into another busy week as I’ll be driving down to Marcus’ after work today. He has a medical procedure tomorrow and needs a driver. I’ll drive back home tomorrow night since I have a cataract check up Wednesday morning. Syd was scheduled to work 5pm to 11pm Wednesday through Saturday, so I’ll be taking Oliver with me to the fireworks. I’m so glad his epilepsy isn’t triggered by flashing lights or sounds. Even tho he’s 16 months old now, I think I’ll still baby-wear him. I’m sure I write about it every year, but I enjoy walking to the fireworks and then staying up afterwards to watch Independence Day. Prayers that my ankle holds out! I feel like I have to prove to all of you that my ankle really is janky. Here’s a picture I just took. This is just me doing nothing special today at work. Meaning, I don’t have to even do any strenuous walking for it to be filled with fluid. I feel like I need to get a 3rd opinion. The doctor that did the first 2 surgeries and the doctor that did the 3rd one both say my only next step is a complete ankle replacement.
I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Afternoon Slims,
Congrats to all that made the leaderboard. Job Well Done!My quick intro:
My name is Sandy and I live in Copperas Cove Tx. with my Hubby John and our 2 furbabies Tigger (cat) and Diesel (dog). We have 2 wonderful Children both married and have families of their own. I am a grandma to 5 boys ages 13 to 22. I'm a retired correctional officer of 21 yrs. I have been pretty much able to keep my weight down until my 40's. My weight topped out at 186 after I quit smoking. Now thanks to Wegovy I am back to the weight I was before having a heart attack and quitting smoking 155 lbs. I still have roughly 30 lbs to go. We will see when I get down to 130 if I want to keep going. For those that were asking Diesel has been doing really great. He is much easier to handle when out walking. He even has a girlfriend Sofia that walks with us on Fridays and Saturdays. We have not put them together to play yet but I think it will happen this month after we get back from our next camping trip coming up next week.
This month I am going to be focusing on strength training a bit with cardio. Here's to looking at a great month of July!

WEIGH IN UPDATE
Reminder To Weigh IN Tomorrow To @TeresaW2024 @FushiaKatJust had my final fitting (I thought it was done and I got it today but no) on my partial and I kid you not I came home and the front tooth next to it broke eating ice cream. It's taken 7 months and still not ready and now I lost another tooth, I wish I never bothered getting them crowned the problems never end and I don't have money for any of it and it's embarrassing walking around with teeth missing. Don't feel like posting more have a good Tuesday

@AustinRuadhain Way to go , woo hoo!
@vegan4lyfe2012 It's amazing you went from having zero grandchildren to having 5 within 2 years ! :) What a great picture. I think you will love that soup. Yeah, I don't post anything about my weight loss surgery or how much I've gained/lost on social media because of those haters. I did notice the difference at the zoo! Thanks! I'm glad the birthday party went well. I hope you enjoy the fireworks wiht Oliver. You don't have to prove anything to us! Your poor ankle.
@txcritter69 Good to hear Diesel is doing great . How cute that he has a girlfriend!
@Katmary71 Oh no ! I'm so sorry, Kat. Big hugs and hopes that it takes less time to fix.
Hi all. I was at work yesterday afternoon and I was walking and turned a different direction and I heard and felt a POP in my right knee (this is the GOOD knee). It was accompanied by pain. I tried to ignore it and it did not go away, so I called my doctor's office and they wanted me to come in that day. Luckily, they had an appointment open. They did some movement tests and determined I tore my MCL, a ligament on the side of my knee. So now I have to stay off it, ice it, and wear a brace for the next two weeks. I cannot do any lower body exercises at the gym (but I'll still go and do upper body). It really stinks!

@vegan4lyfe2012 I love that picture, and what a wonderful world you live in! ❣️You do need to keep looking for an answer that will help your poor ankle. Are you sure you should be walking to the fireworks carrying a heavy kiddo? I will be hiding in my bedroom with a barking dog during the fireworks. 😀
@Katmary71 , I'm so sorry about your broken tooth! Dental expenses are so ridiculous, and I have never understood why our insurance doesn’t cover dental and vision care. (((Big Hugs)))
@trooworld Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry about your knee! I swear, the moment we decide to take our fitness seriously, something will happen to derail us. But you are right that you can still go to the gym and get in a good upper-body workout. Can you drive and go to work? Maybe they will let you work from home! 😕
Good morning! Today, I have to take Joe to get blood work done and run up to the church. He did walk a little yesterday, but I'm so nervous that he will fall that I won’t let him get off the carpet. We will see what today holds! I am excited for a new month and have my tracker ready to go! My goal is to lose at least 5 lbs and end the month proud of my efforts. 🙂3
