@Sableness Aww, Eve is very well taken care of, as was Mickey!!! Are you having cooler weather? We are, and I am THRILLED about that!!! Last night we got down to 49, and I almost had to close my bedroom window. ALMOST! LOL ,, DEAR me I hope your friend will be okay. Is it the new strain with the razor edge feeling? Ohhh, I do not want that! LOL I can't imagine anyone would!! I hope you didn't catch it.
@alphafitchick Sounds like you are doing amazing!!! Would you recommend a coach? For our new members who may be thinking about this and our regular members, why? Please.
@micaroo4 LOVEEE that question!! I have a daily step goal (it's not much, but it's what I can do). New members, if exercise isn't something you've been doing, PLEASE know we do not ever want you to be discouraged. Everyone starts at the start. Go at your own pace!! Never compare yourself to someone else. Years ago, when I starte,d I did 10 minutes of exercise, 3 times a week. It was all I could do; everyone was fine with that. If you are dealing with limitations, an injury, surgery etc. please let the leaders on your team know they will work with you! I'll continue to work also on getting to bed on time, soon I'll have this 100% with a rare maybe not. I love having personal goals.
@Ronnie_happy2ranch @micaroo4 I really enjoyed reading your answers!! TY TY TY for sharing!
@cormierannie We sure do have this!!! How did the challenge go for you? I had quite a gain in the first week of the summerer 5% Challege!! EKK!! I am in heart failure. This is such a balancing act.
@Kurtize ABSOLUTELY GO FOR THE BRASS RING!! Never stop achieving our goals, loving life, and having fun. I'll be going to a potluck on Friday. Be guaranteed, I am going there to goof around totally. LOL, I have no issues doing that.
@Patti241 What did you do in Vegas?

@Sableness, I hope you don't catch Covid from your friend. Our feral teenage cat mama has revealed FOUR surviving kittens. I still haven't been able to get a photo of all four at once. But oh my, they are as cute as kittens can be!

@lavalily, hello from a former WRJ&G, I'm always so glad to see you in the challenge. I wish it were easier to keep in touch here at MFP, I'm sorry we lost Doris from the challenges, but I suspect it was easier to stay active with FitBit challenges since that was her "gadget."

Disappearing post syndrome again. In brief: @nbruns83 and @dianedoessmiles1, fingers crossed. My friend sounded pretty rough. We didn’t talk long because I had another friend here visiting. She wanted to know if I was OK. She’s in her late eighties with multiple health issues, so I’m hoping she’ll recover well. I’m afraid Covid will make inroads on her Assisted Living where so many are especially vulnerable. I read this week that Astepro allergy med is promising in regard to reducing Covid viral load so I bought some for me and husband just in case. You can even take it proactively. Can’t hurt until I can hopefully get a vaccine here in crazy Florida.

Nancy, I can imagine how cute those kitty babies must be. Diane, loved the pic of Izzy and Oscar who’s all grown up!

@nbruns83 and @lavalily - Doris did stay with FitBit, then to StrideKick which I think is being taken over by Google.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - when I started exercising, I started with just 10 minutes a day and worked my way up! Good advice for beginners, and also for anyone trying to come back from an illness or injury.

Good Wednesday Morning VIP Friends, @Dianedoessmiles1 I would highly recommend a coach who has certification in nutrition and fitness. My coach has helped me tremendously since I started working with her as she had her own 80# weight loss journey. If you can afford $29.99 a month I'd for sure go premium on the 1st Phorm app but if not then it's $9.99 a month for standard the difference is with premium you get to work with an amazing coach. All members of the app get a macro tracker, tons of workouts and access to the educational live streams.

good afternoon, everyone! it is a beautiful summer day here today. my daughter says hi to all. both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i did my strength training workout earlier this morning and i really enjoyed it. i also did some stair climbing this morning as well. i went for a walk after lunch and i feel great! i will be doing some dancing later on. all of the activities that usually happen in the rec room here during the day were cancelled, which in turn led me to get some de-cluttering done in my place. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.

@micaroo4 Always. Always. Sometimes new ones come on and see some doing 120 minutes of exercise and get discouraged. They learn though from the rest of us it's okay to do 10 mins as they can.

@alphafitchick that's not bad at all! Thanks!

Hmm, I guess yesterday MFP ate my homework!!! It only put a very tiny bit!! Grrrr!! I was on my phone, which at times I find difficult to use. I prefer my computer, and I am quicker on it also.

@alphafitchick WOOHOO on the step ups around 9-11. That was quite a goal! As said, it'll always remain with us.
@Sableness Are you in the clear? A dear friend had been in rehab recovering from a stay in the hospital. While in rehab, grrrr he did catch covid. He's a heart patient who also has cancer. Today, he was able to get out of rehab; it's NOT healthy for him there. No company until Monday. In the meantime, friends/family will drop things off at his door.
@Dpecora653 GOOD MESSAGE!!! It's up to us which thoughts we'll entertain. How are the grandbabies?
@slstover35 Hehehehe, I wish you could see the GRIN ON MY FACE reading "My favorite day of the week!" Tomorrow I'll be with a friend for a few hours. We'll be doing a volunteer project, but most of it is in the car. OHHHHHH and I was PROMISED an ice cream from our favorite spot near Old Orchard Beach!! A small cone there is so yummy and flavorful, I do not need a larger one. Lemon graham cracker combo!!

I’m happy to report that I apparently did not succumb to my friend’s Covid and that she recovered very quickly for someone her age. Diane, I hope your friend recovers well too.

It was in the 60s this morning for the first time in many months, AND the sun is shining after many gloomy days that have kept the pool temp feeling more like November than September. We’ve gone in anyway; cold dipping is supposed to be healthy.

Off to do my POP (Put Off Project) for the day. It’s a good goal for in between challenge time.

    Happy Busy Saturday!

We are definitely back to my grandkids fall activities. Dance and baseball every Saturday morning. Little Gym, soccer and baseball games in the middle of the week. Sunday is flag football for my grandson. In between their activities we try and do all our shopping and whatever errands we need to get done. It is hard to believe Olivia will be 4 next month, Skyler will be 2 & Nico will be 4 in December. Everett will turn 6 in January. He is loving kindergarten.

    IMG_0665.jpeg IMG_4250.jpeg IMG_3042.jpeg

@Dianedoessmiles1 I will be thinking of you when we go up to visit my grandson in Massachusetts in the beginning of October.

The hot exercise videos right now are the Japanese 3X3 - I did a few of them, they are interesting, a little like HIIT but different enough to add in to my rotation. I love that Paul Eugene and Improved Health have both standing and sitting.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and the beautiful weather.

@Dpecora653 SO TRUE!! We can look for the things that are going well, and work on the things that are not in a different light. Turning what is negative to a positive with what is in our control. Not everything is, but our mental health is.
@alphafitchick TY TY TY for the actions of happiness.
@Patti241 I've not ever been to Vegas, in a way I'd like to do as you did, and see the variety shows. I'd be tempted to do this! How COOL is this? I doubt it would hurt my body, and LOOK AT THAT VIEW!! WOOHOO!!! I'm so sorry you didn't have a better time Patti, you've been through so much.

I'm very pleased to say I got a small one and was fine with it!! Cold dipping, great job still going in!! I love the cooler temps, but hope you can have some warm pool time. Did you get the POP done for today?
@alphafitchick TY TY TY for sharing the suggestions for a healthy habit. Please stay tuned.
@Dpecora653 Aww, Everett is getting so big! So are the others. They look so much like you, it's adorable and MORE!!! WOOHOO when you are in MA, wave to the north and I'll wave back!! WOW On the Japanese 3X3!! GF, I give you a TON of credit for the amazing person you are!!! Keep up doing so well, Debbie!!
