@Kurtize Aww, I hope you also loved the day. Wednesday and Thursday are hopefully our last warm days. LOL You know me! BRING ON THE SNOW!!! Hehehehe, well, not for a few more months.
@alphafitchick If you happen to get rain up here in the northeast corner of the US, we could use it; however, NC, from what I saw, has had enough.
@Ronnie_happy2ranch Do you know how the Bronos are doing? I lived out there when Peyton Manning was around. LOL Almost every yard in Denver and Aurora (I lived in Aurora) was decorated for the Broncos WAY more than they were for Christmas, and they were for that also!! It's so gorgeous in CO. Those mountains, I fell deeply in love with them as we flew into Denver. They are beyond words; no word to me describes them deeply enough. I miss them.

@Ronnie_happy2ranch OH HOW COOL!!! I love how close that is. I rarely see a game the Broncos are in here. I WISH I did!! I still love them. Great spirit and hope!

@All, are you each doing the Pre challenge assignments? These are different than before. @hicim705 Puts a lot of thought into them as well as work into them. Some things season to season, in a weight loss group are a goal, but our own lives change for various reasons. Our answers change.

Did you know that those who do the Pre Challenge Assignments are more apt to be successful? That has been seen again and again. When we have a solid plan, we are more focused.

@alphafitchick HI ALL!! Yesterday I tried a few times using my phone and kept OOPSING when I'd do your names. LOL The computer is much easier. I started learning the keyboard back in the years our HS did not in my first year have "electric typewriters"? But manual ones. Love using the computer keyboard which I do not need to look at, but the PHONE!?? Smaller keys. LOL

We had followed when on Sparks to compare those on the Spirited Under Dawg team, to see if those who did the pre assignments did better, the answer was clear. YES!! As OALs, we have paid attention here on MFP. For instance, if you follow @hicim705 blog it's easy to see she has this year done remarkably better. By doing the pre assignments, I also do much better when I do (Which is most of the time). Why though? It helps us be prepared mentally and emotionally by having a plan we came up with for ourselves. I hope this helps.

@Patti241 LOL That ride looks like fun to me!! Would I actually do it? Probably! But height isn't everyone's thrill. Did you enjoy today? Weds. I met online with 6 friends on zoom this AM for awhile. After 4 of us went out to eat, we mostly enjoyed each other's company. I had a very good time. Came home and CRASHED OUT!!

@Ronnie_happy2ranch MASH was a great show!!! I hope CO has been cooling down?

Mine, too! Since we 'cut the cord' on cable TV, I've found Mash reruns and my husband and I have been through the series at least twice … STILL a great show, just so sad that so few of the old cast are still left. RIP to all the brilliant actors assiciated with that show.

@hicim705 I had cut the cord a year ago. I DO NOT Miss cable. There's so much we can do. If you are near a city, I use a wall antenna (Walmart about $20), but I just checked and now (since last year) there are tons of other types of antenna's!! I may try one of the newer ones for even MORE channels. I get 35 of them always free. Like days of old, they grab the airwaves. WELCOME to the "I CUT THE CORD" crowd!!

I don't usually visit this chat but I thought I'd stop by today.

We've enjoyed a fun summer of lawn bowling - new activity to us this year - and I had a great score last night playing 4-3-2-1 (scored individually) even though I was playing with more experienced lawn bowlers.

We'll wrap up our season next week and then I'll be jumping into directing my choir for the fall/winter/spring months (until the end of May. That, and leading a challenge team, keeps me busy!

    Have a GREAT Friday everyone!

Her fee is more than reasonable (She gets upset when I give her a tip I feel she has earned! LOL but that only makes me giggle!). Oscar and Izzy PURR HI!! How is Daisey?
@alphafitchick How did the day go?
@Retired_Sue Awwm HI Sue!!! Cute bunny!! WELCOME to the chat!! We know your team is very busy year round and that takes quite a bit of time. Lawn bowling sounds like FUN!!! I am not surprised you are good at it. No doubt they enjoyed WOOHOO attitude, we DO!! How is the choir going for this year or are you not quite sure yet? Will you be going to the Tigan games? OH I HOPE I hope Spelled that right.

The Pats are 1 and 1. Last Sunday was a fantastic game!! We had so much fun watching that!! Today I went grocery shopping, needing to stop on the way home, but I also WANTED to stop and enjoy the gorgeous weather!! We hit 71 with a nice wind which wasn't strong, but just enough. Here's the pic I took. It was low tide, normally where you see the brownish red grass (Turns this color in the fall which I think is also quite pretty) is covered over with the ocean during high tide.

@Dianedoessmiles1 - The choir hasn't started yet - first practice isn't for another couple of weeks - but it should be an easier season with less change this year. Last year we had a new pianist who had to learn most of our music and I had to gdo quite a few program adjustments, some because I wanted to change things and others out of necessity. The Ticats (Tiger Cats) are doing well - 8-5 and first place in their division. We've been to a few games - decided not to do full seasons seats this year due to the travel back and forth and the extra cost of a hotel room. They are into the last third of their season which began in June, and we'll attend the last game of the season in about a month. They'll probably be hosting a playoff game so I think we'll go to that as well. We've had nice summery weather the past week - a bit cooler now but still nice. There is rain coming this week unfortunately but we had such a dry summer that I really can't complain too much - as long as it doesn't interfere with our last few days of lawn bowling!

@Sableness How was the flea market? Hopefully, the weather was great for it. It IS fun seeing the stuff they have. Woohoo on the exercise!

@alphafitchick How did the sales go today? What type of items? For the pumpkin spice part of your latte what did you use? Im not a coffee or tea person but adore hot chocolate.

@cory17 Hi! Happy to see you with us! I'm hoping we all take a look at the pre assignments so we ready to go soon.

@Retired_Sue I sure hope the choir is easier this season. Woohoo go Ticats! I hope they make the playoffs! That'll be quite exciting! We also need the rain, we are in a severe drought. Please send it to us (I wish you could!). I've joined the Shape shifter team. I really needed a change. It's helping me to be happy again.

@HealthyBarb1 Welcome! So sorry to read of the health issues. Are they able to help you pinpoint what's happening? So many are quite ill. This getting older is not for sissies! You are not alone.

@alphafitchick - yes, I prefer to make my own healthier specialty coffees too.

@dianedoessmiles1 - that little flea market was great! For under $10, I got four items I actually needed: a wide spatula for my nonstick frying pan, a pill cutter, a soft cotton knit dress, and a cloth jar opener. I had given mine to an elderly friend and then found I used that one more often than I thought.

I’m pleased that I was able to get my flu shot last week and the covid vax this morning. I learned awhile back that the pool is perfect for easing post-vaccine soreness or swelling l so far, so good.

@lavalily - I’m really looking forward to seeing you in December! Hope it all works out.

@alphafitchick Did you get any rain yesterday?
We are hoping that by Tues through THurs we will. They are thinking we will. As you can see, we need it.
I live in southern coastal Maine

I'm located in D2, Severe drought. Thankfully, I am in a city. The surrounding towns that are not on "city water" with wells, many are dry. It's hard to watch this happen.

@Ronnie_happy2ranch How did the summer go? I had enjoyed mine. It's cooler now, finally. Maybe a few more days in the 70s, but most are now in the 60s and at night into the 40s. YEAH!!! LOL You know my crazy OBESSION with WINTAH!!! It's a coming!! I am so pleased.
@Sableness You got some GREAT DEALS!! WOOHOO!!! I used to giggle at my step Mum for using a plastic jar opener. Now I use one also (I have 2 different types, both useful!) and think of her every time. It makes my heart sing. What a great lady she was! I had given away 2 of them also to elderly neighbors. LOL I live in a 55 plus, most are in their 70s and 80s now. I am in my 60s. Great idea to go into the pool to bring down the soreness of the shots!! NICE THINKING!!!

@Dianedoessmiles1 it rained for well over 12 hours (and will continue throughout the day); I was over an hour late to work since I had to take my husband to get his truck out of the shop and apparently rain is something brand new to drivers today. The wind tossed one of our patio umbrellas into the pool and 2 of our sails came down. We didn't eat dinner until almost 8 pm because he was BBQing chicken and had to wait for the wind to die down! LOL! 🍗🍗🐔🐓 Temps might make it into the 50s today and the furnace has now been turned on; it will be back in the 80s by Thursday. You'll be happy to hear that it is snowing up in the high country. ❄️❄️

I have to admit I do love me a good flea market or boot sale. I stopped at an estate sale. Now my sisters house has matching hangers. The whole house is the same. I looked at this huge box of pants hangers and thought good thing I'm not like my sister. Yep I bought them! I also bought a cane and a Vera Bradley purse. 10.00 for everything. My Dad puts down his cane and I have no idea where it is. I need extras. The purse mom loved and it was brand new. I told her to just enjoy it.

Work has been taxing but the pool opened today and it felt wonderful to be back. I swam and then went to work I was happy all day. Which was good because everyone else had the crabbies.
