Starting bulk! WOOT WOOT
I'm really interested in reaching a certain deadlift- which will require bigger engine- bigger engine means bulk. So here I go with that. I'm vaguely starting to consider competition in 2015

Starting stats
162 lbs
(will come back and edit measurements- they are at home currently)
aiming right now for 2000 a day- and consuming 50-70% of my workout calories.

Food:
1800- obviously low plus workout I came in 650 calories short. BOO
Workout:
Chest day- super crappytastic workout- SB swing for 5 minutes (two sets of 2.5 minutes)
bench- arnolds- fly and dance.
Really under the weather on this one.

FOOD:
2225- 600 left over to consume for working out- so low
I was running off 8 oz of dunkin donuts oatmeal- really NOT how I function- but killer workout
WORKOUT:
Front squats to failure- then back down
Super set 2 rounds
Walking Lunges 85 lbs
15 Box jumps
Super set 8 reps at 135 lbs
BB glute raises
DL
45 minutes dance.
good- but hard.

Food: I'm sitting at 1115 calories- 800 more to go PLUS workout stuff- hoping to get up to 3000 today to make up for the light days the last two days.
Today is Back day WOOT WOOT.

Thanks- hopefully all of those came through- I was really hoping to get BF dearest to help me out with them- but selfies it was.
I can't stand how I look from the back- SO WIDE. Sigh.

Chest day- sucks
hate benching- it sucks- I can't do it well on my own- and pushing is hard is- difficult. I was also at a new gym- I"m not shy about asking for a spot- but I'm trying to keep to myself just to make sure I don't make new friends so I waste time there.
Bench- 2 x 45 warm up 8 reps
95 lbs 6 reps
135 x 3 sets 3-4 reps
115- 4 reps
95 - 6 reps
Super set sets of 5 x 5
Arnold Press 20/25 lbs
Flat Fly 15/20 lbs
Cable decline fly 4 x 8 @ 30 lbs
TRX
> lawn mower thing- 1 x 10 (these suck)

> Push ups
> Knee Tucks
25 medicine ball switching burpees.
Shoulders were killing me- I have severe front deltoid issue at this point. Sleeping on BF's bed which is significantly harder than mine- caused me a lot of aches and pains I wasn't expecting. Humph- restful weekend- not so restful.
Oh well.
I had beer and ice cream yesterday- so I'm pretty sure I hit calories. Definitely felt like a gnoshing day LOL

I won't go over 155 without a spotter.
Everyone starts somewhere- actually 3 months ago- I couldn't bench the bar because I was having serious elbow issues- I'm VERY fortunate- I have been gifted with good genes for upper body strength. Now. If only I could get my squat up to respectable standards!!!0 -

LOL I've been doing push ups since almost since before I could walk- I feel like I would be cheating to say it's all me- I was given a great opportunity to be an athlete- and raised by a Marine so I'm coming from a much different place than a lot of people.
I still firmly believe that ANYONE can do it if they put their mind to it- but I'm not naive enough to think my childhood and college experiences haven't aided me along the way.
You can do it too- it just takes work.
If it makes you feel better- my OHP is complete rubbish. LOL It's not a good lift for me- it just sucks.0 -
I'm working hard at it...definitely going to reach my goals if it kills me!0

it'll happen- you're eating at a surplus- go for it- rep the newb gains- you'll never see this much growth any other time- so just hammer it- go hard with the lifting- go hard with the food.
I'm actually LESS interested in size- and MORE interested in reaching a certain DL PR LOL_ but I needs a bigger engine to make that happen- hence the bulk!0 -

Holy craptastic week.
Been slammed at work trying to get something done by today- it's killed my food this week.
Only got 2 workouts in Monday/Tuesday and Wed/Thurs were 'off' days. Wish I could have worked out yesterday/thursday instead of Monday/Tuesday. the more hectic it got- the worse the food situation became.
whew. managed to really only blow my calories by one day by like 800 some calories- could have been way worse. oh well. ready to hit the gym tonight.
i was feeling pretty disappointed with my weight gain- but I put my Old Navy pants on today- and they are SNUG- so i'm pretty sure I'm seeing some slight gain. not sure if I should invest in a digital scale or not for more accurate readings LOL
as of this morning I was still 160/161.0 -
hitting 163 maybe at this point.
Not really convinced. Still plugging away at it though!!
Lifts haven't gone up at all- disappointing- but I don't know why I expect them to really jump in less than 3 weeks LOL oh well.

I haven't taken measurements since Monday I think. For shame.
Still chugging away- I think I did pretty well- Tuesday and Monday were light days for me- but I had quiet a bit of food yesterday- and I suspect I'll probably have a lot today as well- so I"m sure it's a nice balance. I saw a little glimmer- I hit a lift I have been missing the last month or so- and I got it on Monday- I was tickled pink.
So hopefully I can see MOAR gains over the next month- I keep reminding myself- it's supposed to be a slow stead haul- I always want results NAO!!! LOL0
