    Does anyone have tips for when sciatica is being a b**ch and you still need to get cardio in? My sciatica is pinching and I can barely walk right now.

    Try yoga. YouTube has lots of 10-15 minute videos specifically on how yoga helps with sciatica.

    Morning Day 2 of Zombie and calorie and fat killing! Whew, I had trouble climbing out of bed this morning after that first cardio kick class yesterday! Maybe some yoga today and most definately some stretching in order!! I want to thank you all for your posts, and support here! I am loving this place. I took before pics (yuck) and measurements. I saw on the site a forum that has before and after pics on it, but I am unsure how to post pics on here...like in the body of the message..Also...I am having trouble setting goals..how can I make realistic goals? I want to lose weight and get toned, but I think I have to be more precise than that, right?

    I have to go visit my cousin today. She loves to cook, and feed people, and believes that everything is better with a dollup of butter on it. Wish me luck in this great temptation!!!!

    More precise does help - your goals dont have to be huge, just what you think is attainable in 9 weeks.

    As far as setting specific goals - how about shooting for 5 or 10 percent weight loss? After you achieve those you can go for the next 5 or 10 percent. I'm hoping to get to 10% of weight loss before the challenge ends myself - but I'm starting off with 5% with the hopes of seeing succcess soon.

    Just curious - what do you guys eat for dinner? I'm open for new ideas. Thanks :)

    My food is pretty restricted so I dont know if I can give you alot of idea. Last night I had Turkey meatballs with cheese baked into the middle. They were yummy. I have also had cheeseburger meatballs, with bacon. And just about any meat is crockpotable, so I do that alot too.

    You dont have to post them. They are mostly just for you so you can see what the challenge helped you accomplish. I refuse to show most ppl my pics, but I like going back and seeing where I was and where I am now.

    I do...you can stop any time you want at home....if you do it in class every one looks at you.

    That's what I was thinking! I'm trying to find another gym that offers childcare since the one down the street is closed due to a plane crash, but I don't see any alternatives. I think I might have to wait until we move to hubby's next duty station in April before finding another gym.

    What classes do you enjoy the most?

  • I like yoga a lot. I'm thinking about trying spinning and Zumba eventually - but haven't made that leap yet. So far I've been lap swimming.

    Bucky83 and maphammonds you gave me starting weight but no measurements. If you are going to use just weight, let me know so I can mark that down.

    Remember they have to be turned in by the deadline tomorrow. You can turn them in with your challenge totals. Totals have to be turned in by midnight. We calculate scores Sunday and Monday begins a new round. You can do exercise on Sunday for the next week (I know I do)

    THANKS!!

    Challenges keep me engaged and moving so Im happy to help you guys keep track. Besides it gives me a chance to geek out even more and use spreadsheets WHILE watching WD. Total geek!!!


    I dont know if I will work out during - have to keep an eye out for Beth Kills. But Im sure I will have lots of exercise during the marathon I plan on having!!

    I like it! I might do that during the commercials while jogging during the show. Or maybe push ups/planks/weights to get some strength training in :happy:
